I call it a 'Honeymoon' condo due to the feel to me with the fireplace and jet tub.
It is simple with everything you need if you are not planning to need a stove. We offer an efficiency kitchenette, see amenities.

Our 2nd floor ( stairs only ) condo includes lots of natural light being a corner unit with 4 windows on 3 of 4 walls. This provides an airy feeling and the option for lots of fresh air in our condo including cross breeze.

Our property is tucked in the woods just down the road ( a stones throw or a short block) from the Port Superior marina which provides the pool and a gorgeous view of Chequamegon Bay of Lake Superior which is right at the entrance of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

This unit is perfect for a romantic getaway which we have decorated with a nautical feel. You will find a variety of options for outdoor enthusiasts

In the photos, I provide a photo of the lake. This is a lake view from Port Superior Marina which is next door. This is not a view from our condo. Our condo is tucked in a heavily wooded area 3 miles S of downtown Bayfield. We are near ( near defined as next door up to 2 miles ) the following :
Adventure Club Brewery, mt biking trails, Brownstone hiking trail, downhill ski lifts, Big Top music venue, golf course, Big Top shuttle pickup, Portside marina, Portside restaurant, & Pikes Bay marina.

There a variety of inside tourist options as well such as shopping, museums, ferry to Madeline island, island tours, kayak tours, breweries & much more.
Enjoy all the beauty of Bayfield Wi, on Lake Superior. This is a charming town, which was rated #2 in the nation for coastal towns which provides many options for a variety of interest.

We are located near Big Top music venue. If you are in Bayfield for this outdoor tent concert up on the hill, then this is an awesome location for you. We are close at about 1-2 miles since the venue is on the S. side of town as we are. There is a Big Top shuttle van to conveniently transport you to and from with service to the front door. We love to take advantage of this service. They have a pickup spot next door to the condo with a schedule on line.

Our rental includes access to the outdoor pool next door at Port Superior Marina with a beautiful view of the Marina and Bay. There is a cute shortcut by walking away from the condos toward the dumpsters, continuing until you see a path on your left, take the path, crossing the little bridge, then walking down the road to your left.
This pool is a little further down the road at the marina and can be found behind the restaurant which is a delightful place to eat with charming atmosphere and beautiful balcony overlooking the pool and bay.

There is a trail which is 2.5 miles long which runs along Lake Superior from above Pikes Bay marina to downtown next to Blackhawk marina. This so very scenic and enjoyable. It ranges from easy to fairly easy in use. You are allowed to walk or bike ( no motorized vehicles ). It's truly a treat with a variety of terrains, a gorge, historic markers and ... 2 Marinas ( Pikes Bay & Port Superior ) are a stones throw from our condo at Brookside. You can walk 1/2 down the driveway, cross the bridge, take a left, walk to Port Superior marina, take another left to Pikes Bay, then up Pikes Bay driveway ( steep hill ), turn into the middle condo driveway to your right, follow along about a block to the trail head marked, 'Brownstone' trail. It'll be about 3 miles total from the condo doorstep to the Bayfield downtown. I love it so much that I'd like everyone to know it's available.

Winter:
This off season is much quieter. It is actually one of my favorite times of the year to spend in Bayfield. The community offers a wide variety of sports and activities. I will include these in the list of my recommended things to do in the winter.

14. Stop by the Distillery just about a mile outside of Bayfield. They offer a fantastic outdoor atmosphere with heaters and a drink menu which is worth the time.

Spring/Summer/Fall :
You’ll be near mountain biking trails, hiking, biking, nature, Apostles Islands including Madeline Island which is available by ferry. After an adventurous day exploring,
Enjoy the ambiance of the fireplace & a jacuzzi tub. Next to 2 marinas.
You may also enjoy the outdoor grill, seating and fire pit on the Brookside Hideaway grounds. Another easy option at the end of the day after sightseeing is a walk to Portside restaurant . This restaurant is a stone's throw from the condo or a little further down the same driveway with a good reputation for food & drinks along with a beautiful view of Portside marina. They have a new menu which is amazing. They are open Thurs.-Saturday at 4 p.m. Please confirm serving hours.
our condo rental also includes access to an outdoor pool which is next to the Port Superior Marina restaurant which is on the Marina grounds. The restaurant and the pool have a wonderful atmosphere and view of lake Superior.

There is an artesian well across the county road from our condo which is the source of water at our condo. It is so very delicious. I advise bringing a couple of water bottles.

Two bedrooms, 3 beds, 2 full baths. Full kitchen. Lake view. This historic home is across from Greunke’s Restaurant. Two bedrooms face the street with the living area in the back that walks out unto a deck with lake views.

Guests will have access to the entire lower unit. The garage is for owner use only. The upstairs is its own separate rental unit.

NOTE: This is a lower apartment unit. There may be guests staying in the upstairs unit. Please observe inside voices and soft steps to ensure the enjoyment of all guests. **Quiet Hours are 10PM to 8AM**

We have a strict “no outdoor shoes inside” policy. The flooring is hard maple throughout. Please consider bringing your own indoor slippers or nonskid socks for your stay.

Loved being so close to everything!" - "Location, location, location! This jewel of a house is located right off the water near EVERYTHING! You're steps away from the beach, ferries for all of the excursions, restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, and so much more. The house has two floors. We stayed on the main floor, which has two entrances, completely private to the unit. The deck off of the side of the house (also private) has a direct sight-line to the harbor, park, and main street. Being a lower unit, we did hear the footsteps of excited children in the upper, but that was it. The kitchen was fully stocked with ALL of the amenities for cooking and dining. The fridge was full-size. The living room had a Smart TV, games, and books (lots of books for children and tweens). The only closet in the unit is in this room and we put it to good use. The two bathrooms were clean and had modern Kohler faucets, toilets, and shower heads. The bathrooms were stocked with ample toilet paper, Dove Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash for our stay. (We are a tall family, so we did need to bend to fit under the shower heads.) As of our stay, beach towels were not provided, so definitely pack them to play at the many nearby beaches, several walkable from the house. The bedrooms had comfortable beds with lots of pillows. There are no closets in the bedrooms, but luggage racks were provided. This house is an absolute treasure. The hosts were very responsive. We highly recommend it. And, without a doubt, we'll be back."

The cottage served as a perfect base for both that hike and Lake Superior kayaking the next day.
