- "Peaceful stay in a beautiful wooded setting. Host lives on the property also. Carriage House is detached from the owners’ house. Carriage House has 1 bedroom and 1/2 bath downstairs, with the kitchen, living area, 3/4 bath (shower only), and the primary bedroom upstairs. It was really nice to be able to park our vehicle and bicycles in the garage. Host is very welcoming, yet respectful of privacy. Knowledgeable about the area. Gave us good suggestions for biking in the area."

Our cozy Rock Garden Cottage features a main level 2 queen bedroom, upper-level (*must be able to use stairs to access) is an open concept living kitchen layout with futon for extra sleeping, electric fireplace, and bathroom with spacious Italian marble walk in shower, and views out the large windows of the woods. The cottage has large outdoor rockgarden landscape feature with adironndack chairs surrounding a firepit as well as picnic table and grill to enjoy the outdoor space. Enjoy a fire with provided wood perfect to relax and unwind after a day exploring Bayfield (outdoor features are seasonal May-October) Starlink fast internet w/Netflix included, fully stocked kitchen (NO OVEN in this rental), complimentary bathroom toiletries.

- "The location is excellent! You are 1/2 block from the main drag in downtown Bayfield where all the restaurants/bars/shops are. Coffee shop is 2 doors down. The listing says it is a cabin and that is what it is. It isn't fancy, but it is functional and comfortable. I would book it again when coming to Bayfield. The communication with the owner was excellent!" - "Came for two night's for Big Top Chautauqua concert. Featuring the Main Cottage with a one thousand square foot wrap around deck and outdoor dining in front, the queen master bedroom offers French doors that bring you to the back deck to two outdoor lounge chairs perfect to relax and have a morning cup of coffee while the morning sun rises. The living room has two huge unique panoramic reflective windows surrounding you, giving you views of the northwoods and wildlife (reflective windows means you can see outside, but the wildlife cant see in!) The main cottage also has a full kitchen and bathroom with a skylight and heat fan, vaulted ceilings throughout the cottage giving plenty of natural light. Cozy up next to the propane fireplace/stove in the living room while you enjoy the wooded views.

Our Rock Garden Cottage begins with a view of our rock garden as you drive up, a beautiful perennial garden, as well as an outdoor firepit surrounded by cedar chips and solar lit tiki torches. As you enter the 2-level cottage the main level bedroom has two queen beds comfortably sleeping four. Up the stairs the 2nd level offers a large walk in closet, spacious bathroom with granite countertops, a large walk-in Italian marble shower with complimentary toiletries, heat fan and towel warmer, great in the cooler months. Two windows show a view overlooking the rock garden. On the other half of the 2nd floor there is an open layout kitchen- living room with high ceilings, electric fireplace perfect to get cozy in front of, futon that converts down to make a full bed, and large 3-window view of the woods brings in a lot of natural light.

- "Beautiful landscaping, amenities, and comfort. Every detail covered including kitchen spices, makeup remover, q tips, bathroom sprays, games, and more. We were very comfortable and the views out of all the windows were amazing. We rented both cabins and though the Rock Cabin Cottage had more sleeping space for our family, the Main Cottage was more luxurious with the deck, furniture, propane fire pit, and patio lights. The only consideration I would recommend someone giving some thought to is that the Rock cottage has stairs going up to the living space and then the bedroom is on ground level. In my case stairs are fine, but not when your legs are sore from hiking. One other issue that might be a bit much is that before leaving, dishes needed to be washed, dried, and put away, and linens taken up, which for the fees added, seems like a lot of work. Overall it was a great experience and would recommend."

To be clear on the distance to the beach given one reviewer said it is more of a hike than a walk and we've received some questions about this now. It is all one's perspective so here are the specifics:

According to maps, it is an 8 minute walk or 0.4 miles by the road which is a roundabout way of getting there. There is a trail through the woods which is about half that distance so about 5 minutes. You can see our exact location by searching for Delegan Brickyard Creek Cottage. Of course, not everyone walks at the same speed but we assume maps uses average walking speeds :)

Our Lupine Cottage is located at Brickyard Creek, a 100 acre development on Lake Superior with access to our sandy beach; views of Basswood and Madeline Islands, part of our Apostle Islands. Walking trails. Walk or drive to sandy beach from our cottage. 2 vehicle parking in driveway.

Lovely and comfortable cottage at Brickyard Creek.

2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Each bedroom has a new custom queen log bed. 2nd floor bedroom is a loft bedroom with railings that overlook living room below.

New 3 seat blue sofa and two sofa pillows April 2021. NOT a sofa sleeper.

Kitchen has all items you need. You bring your food, beverages, spices, foil.

Propane BBQ grill outside. If you would
like to use it, please ensure you clean it after each use.

Relaxing screen porch. Please refrain from loud noise and observe quiet time between 10 pm to 8 am.

No Wifi. No TV.

Your cell phone, tablet, and hot spot works well in the area. At times, you may

House Rules/Policies: Here are some of our main requirements for staying with us:

+ Minimum renter age 21+ a minimum age requirement for booking with us.
+ ID verification, we do request to verify ID this helps ensure you meet our age minimum requirement as well as safety and damages instructions given in welcome letter.
+ Review our cancelation policies we do enforce policies in place - we do encourage travel insurance due to unforeseen circumstances.
+ No Pets. We have chosen to not allow guest pets – no exceptions! Please respect the owners’ requests. Do not sneak in animals subject to dismissal from the property/fees
+ Quiet hours observed 10pm-8am. No loud music/voices in the allotted quiet times, especially in our outdoor spaces due to being a shared 2-cottage property across the driveway 100' away, please be respectful
+ No Parties/Events/Gatherings of others outside of the reservation subject to dismissal from the property with no refund
+ No smoking/vaping/canibas inside our cottages - subject to additional fees if evidence of this *(please dispose any cigarettes in the provided cigarette butt receptacle located on the shed front)
+ 4-person guest capacity in our Main Cottage
+ 2 security cameras in place for property safety outside on shed facing driveway entrance and in the garage overlooking storage shelves (guests are not allowed in garage) no tampering unplugging or covering with camera or WiFi or subject to dismissal without refund.
+ each cottage has a preventative pest deterrent plugged into the outlet to deter insects and rodents since we are in the woods.
