Carriage House has 1 bedroom and 1/2 bath downstairs, with the kitchen, living area, 3/4 bath (shower only), and the primary bedroom upstairs. The Brickyard Creek Cottages (BYC) is an environmental ​community of private residences​ with a small percentage of privately owned rental cottages. Individual owners and families come to enjoy the natural setting and quiet privacy of their cabin in the woods. ​BYC’s community rental policies below:​

COTTAGE PRIVACY:​ ​Join us in enjoying the natural setting: forest trails, creek, and over 70 acres of Bayfield Boreal Forest. Honor the privacy of residents and other guests—o​nly use designated nature trails or roads to explore the area. The areas along the lake are privately owned and are not part of the BYC community land. Please respect our neighbors!

QUIET ESCAPE IN THE WOODS:​
S​ounds carry through the woods. Keep Brickyard Creek a 'tranquil nature escape' for everyone by refraining from loud music and excessive porch noise. Community​ quiet hours ​are enforced daily between 1​0pm and 8am.​

HEALTH DEPARTMENT LIMITS:​
E​ach cottage is approved by the Bayfield County Health Department to accommodate a maximum number of guests deemed appropriate to the cottage style.​ All guests must be registered. Adding guests after registration is strictly prohibited. The local health code is regulated and monitored.

COMMUNITY BEACH:​
Enjoy the community's private beach and covered picnic area as you look out at the Apostle Islands. Be safe; absolutely no climbing on the rock wall. The jagged boulders are unstable and shifting daily. The marina land, docks, furniture, and clubhouse adjacent to the community beach are for paid m​arina members only​. There is ​no public bathroom​ available at the lakefront​. The parking spaces at Roy's Point Marina are for boaters renting the marina slips ​only​. Please walk, using either the trail or road system, when visiting the beach.

PARKING:​
Guests are allotted space for ​two cars or motorcycles​ at each rental cottage. N​o RV, boat, or trailer parking is allowed at cabins.​ Parking for excess cars and alternative vehicles is available for a small nightly fee adjacent to the marina. ​Contact Roy's Point Marina to reserve space in advance of your arrival​. The Brickyard Creek Association, residents and/or rental agents assume no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings in or on the Brickyard Creek property.

ATV's & UTV'S:
All-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles are ​not permitted​ on Brickyard Creek roads.

ALLERGY-FREE ZONE:​
​All cottages are allergy-free rentals, only a handful of cabins allow pets— n​o pets without prior approval​. NO smoking or burning incense or candles allowed​. Per the State of Wisconsin smoking ban, this includes smoking on decks and/or screen porches.

CAMPFIRES:​
Enjoy the community fire pit located near the beach by the gazebo. There is usually firewood available​. DO NOT pick up wood on the common grounds, private lots, or along the trails. Be alert to wind and weather conditions. Fast-moving embers easily burn holes in sails of boats at the marina or start forest fires. Please be careful not to build roaring fires. Do not leave fires unattended and ensure they are fully extinguished​ when leaving the area. ​Fires are not permitted anywhere else on BYC properties.

GRILLS:​
P​ropane or electric grills are available at most properties for guest use. Guests shall be required to clean grills after use. Failure to do so will result in a $​25 fee. Propane should be T​URNED OFF​ after use and c​over placed on grill A​FTER ​grill is cool.​ Please notify Windseeker Rentals when propane runs out.

HOLDING TANKS:​ ​
The majority of the Brickyard Creek Cottages have holding tanks, not a sewer or septic system. Please ​don't run water unnecessarily or flush any feminine products.​ We ask that only registered guests to the cottage unit use the bath/shower facilities.

GARBAGE & RECYCLING:​
O​ur community recycles c​ans, cardboard, plastic, and glass​— we hope you will too! G​arbage and recycling dumpsters are located just past the intersection of Roy's Point Boulevard and Brickyard Creek Road​. Please "free your recyclables" by placing them directly in the dedicated dumpster or use a paper bag. We are charged an added fee for every plastic bag found in our recycling dumpster. Thank you for your efforts. ​Every little bit counts!

CHILDREN & FAMILIES:​ ​

Beautifully updated historic home centrally located in downtown Bayfield within walking distance to all restaurants, shops, the ferry line, and most major attractions. Two bedrooms, 3 beds, 2 full baths. Full kitchen. Lake view. This historic home is across from Greunke’s Restaurant. Two bedrooms face the street with the living area in the back that walks out unto a deck with lake views.

Guests will have access to the entire lower unit. The garage is for owner use only. The upstairs is its own separate rental unit.

NOTE: This is a lower apartment unit. There may be guests staying in the upstairs unit. Please observe inside voices and soft steps to ensure the enjoyment of all guests. **Quiet Hours are 10PM to 8AM**

We have a strict “no outdoor shoes inside” policy. The flooring is hard maple throughout. Please consider bringing your own indoor slippers or nonskid socks for your stay.

You're steps away from the beach, ferries for all of the excursions, restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, and so much more. The house has two floors. We stayed on the main floor, which has two entrances, completely private to the unit. The deck off of the side of the house (also private) has a direct sight-line to the harbor, park, and main street. Being a lower unit, we did hear the footsteps of excited children in the upper, but that was it. The kitchen was fully stocked with ALL of the amenities for cooking and dining. The fridge was full-size. The living room had a Smart TV, games, and books (lots of books for children and tweens). The only closet in the unit is in this room and we put it to good use. The two bathrooms were clean and had modern Kohler faucets, toilets, and shower heads. The bathrooms were stocked with ample toilet paper, Dove Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash for our stay. (We are a tall family, so we did need to bend to fit under the shower heads.) As of our stay, beach towels were not provided, so definitely pack them to play at the many nearby beaches, several walkable from the house. The bedrooms had comfortable beds with lots of pillows. There are no closets in the bedrooms, but luggage racks were provided. This house is an absolute treasure. The hosts were very responsive. We highly recommend it. And, without a doubt, we'll be back."

This very peaceful Aframe cabin has a full-size kitchen with new appliances, modern-rustic bath with a walk-in shower, a loft area with a smart tv and comfy king size bed.
It is located on the top of the Bayfield peninsula, less than a mile from beautiful Little Sand Bay beach on Lake Superior, and approx12 minutes from Bayfield.
There are gorgeous hiking trails, such a Frog Bay Tribal National Park, located within minutes from the cabin. There are also marked walking trails directly on the property itself.
The cabin has a very efficient woodstove, which is the primary heat source, but it also has a minisplit for heat and air, if necessary.

Location:
Located on the beach right in downtown Bayfield. You can walk to a wide range of locally-owned shops, restaurants, galleries, and museums. And yet the condo is set far enough away from the main drag to not feel like you're too in the middle of everything.

Access:
One parking space per unit is provided in the parking lot. Street parking is also readily available except during the fall Applefest celebration.

Bayfield is a very walkable city, so your best bet is on foot. We are just a couple blocks from all the shops and restaurants in downtown Bayfield.

The following shuttles and ferries are also accessible on foot from Reiten Boatyard:

- The Madeline Island Ferry will take you out to Madeline Island and runs regularly during the late spring, summer, fall, and much of the winter.

- The BART Bus runs regularly from through Bayfield and around Chequamegon Bay for a modest fee.

- Big Top Chautauqua runs shuttles for most of for their concerts and events.

The space:
This newly renovated studio unit is located on the ground floor, literally steps from the beach & the lake. The unit features a very comfy queen-size Murphy bed (let the sound of the waves lull you to sleep!), sofa, dining table & chairs, fully-equipped kitchen, full bath, and a private patio for dining al fresco with views of the lake! Non working fireplace. Ornamental only. Everything has been recently renovated and full of artful touches and modern conveniences.

The unit also features a rarity in the area: air conditioning, as well as high-speed wifi.

Location + Transit:
Due to the lack of public transportation and the distance between towns/amenities, a car is pretty much essential. But, on the plus side, traffic is not a concept we have up here!

Walk to downtown shops and restaurants, ferry terminal and recreation center.
Off street parking in lot for one car. Plenty of street parking available, except during Applefest weekend in October. Less than 15 minute drive to Mt. Ashwabay ski hill, Big Top Chautauqua, hiking trails, beaches, and more.

Public transportation on the peninsula is provided by the Bay Area Rural Transit (BART), more information can be found on their website.

An EV charging station is located in the parking lot on the corner of Washington Ave. and E. 6th St. in Washburn.

Be aware that sound and vibration travel easily in this building. Please be considerate of your neighbors and keep voices and TV levels down and please walk softly on stairway as well as inside the condo. Non working fireplace- ornamental only.

This beautiful, fully stocked cabin is the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking Houghton Falls, Lost Creek Falls, Meyers Beach, or shopping in nearby Bayfield or Cornucopia.

The cabin had everything we needed for the week, was very clean, and had its own trails in the back of the property that was great for a morning hike with our dog. The cabin offered indoor activites such as board games, books, and TV for when you want to relax inside and the 3 seasons porch was amazing to sit in the mornings and drink coffee. I would recommend this cabin to anyone and will stay there again when we are in the area."

A small rustic A-frame cabin tucked away in the woods with a picturesque view of a spring-fed creek just steps from the porch. The creek eventually flows into Lake Superior, located just a mile downstream. The cabin is secluded and can be accessed via a quarter-mile hike from the trailhead. Island Overlook is a collection of three separate, identical cabins situated on a hillside overlooking Lake Superior. These newly constructed cabins feature all of the comforts of home while boasting an unforgettable view of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, particularly Raspberry Island. In each cabin, you’ll walk into an open-concept living room and kitchen with panoramic windows and a sliding glass door to the private back patio. The living space is equipped with a Roku Smart TV and DVD player, as well as a queen sleeper sofa. Enjoy the view from the fully-stocked, modern kitchen. The cozy, quiet bedroom features a queen bed and modern ceiling fan/light combo. The spacious bathroom has a large walk-in shower and will soon be equipped with a washer and dryer! Head outside to utilize your cabin’s private patio furniture, grill, and fire pit.

NOW OFFERING PRIVATE HIKING, SNOWSHOEING, AND NORDIC SKIING TRAILS! Explore the rugged landscape and a wide variety of wildlife on these privately owned trails. The 3 short loop trails total just under one mile! The trails are marked by stakes and will be maintained on a limited basis. NO MOTOR VEHICLES ALLOWED, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Guests will have full access to their private cabin, back patio, grill, and firepit. Each cabin has space for two vehicles to park. Additionally, guests are encouraged to explore the marked loop hiking trails on the property!

The Sumac Chalet is a two-bedroom property with boreal forest foot trails just out the front door. Designed to bring an eclectic, modern feel to a cozy cabin in the woods. The two-story gas fireplace at the heart of the property adds a special warmth year-round. With a kitchen fit to feed, you’ll have everything you need to create many memorable meals. The main level features a walk-out queen suite connected to the generous A-frame screened in porch that runs the width of the home; perfect for Summer dining and lounging. Sumac Chalet also has one bathroom on each level, a spacious living room, and a lofted queen suite that overlooks the lower level of the home.

Step outside the cabin door to explore privately maintained Brickyard Creek trails covering 70-acres of beautiful Boreal forest or meander to the private community’s sandy beach with access to a picnic area and lakeside fire pit looking out to the Apostle Islands.

The areas along the lake are privately owned and are not part of the BYC community land. Please respect our neighbors!

QUIET ESCAPE IN THE WOODS:​
S​ounds carry through the woods. Keep Brickyard Creek a `tranquil nature escape` for everyone by refraining from loud music and excessive porch noise. Community​ quiet hours ​are enforced daily between 1​0pm and 8am.​

HEALTH DEPARTMENT LIMITS:​
E​ach cottage is approved by the Bayfield County Health Department to accommodate a maximum number of guests deemed appropriate to the cottage style.​ All guests must be registered. Adding guests after registration is strictly prohibited. The local health code is regulated and monitored.

COMMUNITY BEACH:​
Enjoy the community`s private beach and covered picnic area as you look out at the Apostle Islands. Be safe; absolutely no climbing on the rock wall. The jagged boulders are unstable and shifting daily. The marina land, docks, furniture, and clubhouse adjacent to the community beach are for paid m​arina members only​. There is ​no public bathroom​ available at the lakefront​. The parking spaces at Roy`s Point Marina are for boaters renting the marina slips ​only​. Please walk, using either the trail or road system, when visiting the beach.

PARKING:​
Guests are allotted space for ​two cars or motorcycles​ at each rental cottage. N​o RV, boat, or trailer parking is allowed at cabins.​ Parking for excess cars and alternative vehicles is available for a small nightly fee adjacent to the marina. ​Contact Roy`s Point Marina to reserve space in advance of your arrival​. The Brickyard Creek Association, residents and/or rental agents assume no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings in or on the Brickyard Creek property.

ATV`s & UTV`S:
All-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles are ​not permitted​ on Brickyard Creek roads.

ALLERGY-FREE ZONE:​
​All cottages are allergy-free rentals, only a handful of cabins allow pets— n​o pets without prior approval​. NO smoking or burning incense or candles allowed​. Per the State of Wisconsin smoking ban, this includes smoking on decks and/or screen porches.

CAMPFIRES:​
Enjoy the community fire pit located near the beach by the gazebo. There is usually firewood available​. DO NOT pick up wood on the common grounds, private lots, or along the trails. Be alert to wind and weather conditions. Fast-moving embers easily burn holes in sails of boats at the marina or start forest fires. Please be careful not to build roaring fires. Do not leave fires unattended and ensure they are fully extinguished​ when leaving the area. ​Fires are not permitted anywhere else on BYC properties.

GRILLS:​
P​ropane or electric grills are available at most properties for guest use. Guests shall be required to clean grills after use. Failure to do so will result in a $​25 fee. Propane should be T​URNED OFF​ after use and c​over placed on grill A​FTER ​grill is cool.​ Please notify Windseeker Rentals when propane runs out.

HOLDING TANKS:​ ​
The majority of the Brickyard Creek Cottages have holding tanks, not a sewer or septic system. Please ​don`t run water unnecessarily or flush any feminine products.​ We ask that only registered guests to the cottage unit use the bath/shower facilities.

GARBAGE & RECYCLING:​
O​ur community recycles c​ans, cardboard, plastic, and glass​— we hope you will too! G​arbage and recycling dumpsters are located just past the intersection of Roy`s Point Boulevard and Brickyard Creek Road​. Please `free your recyclables` by placing them directly in the dedicated dumpster or use a paper bag. We are charged an added fee for every plastic bag found in our recycling dumpster. Thank you for your efforts. ​Every little bit counts!

CHILDREN & FAMILIES:​ ​
The love of the environment starts in childhood. Kids are always welcome!​ Please ​provide adult supervision to ensure their safety​ and the solitude of the other guests and residents.

TWENTY IS PLENTY:​ ​
The roads in Brickyard Creek are considered part of the trail system. For the safety of all pedestrians, ​drive 20 mph or less​. Particularly watch for children whose enthusiasm may cause them to outpace their adult supervisors.

NATIVE TREES & FLORA:​
Brickyard cottages are `of the land, not on the land.` During construction, very few trees and natural plants were disturbed. We ask you to be cautious of marked `nature rehabilitation` areas​, and please don`t pick wildflowers.

Kayaked with Lost Creek for a fun afternoon! Lots of scenic hikes in the area ( Lakeshore Trail , Lost Creek Falls, Houghton ) including the nice trail to the shore from the cabin. Loved the screened on porch and the bikes ( with helmets) to use." - "The fireplace didn’t work which was disappointing. The furniture was bad. Not enough seating for 4 people in living room. Transit
Due to the lack of public transportation and the distance between towns/amenities, a car is pretty much essential. But, on the plus side, traffic is not a concept we have up here!

This comfortable, well-decorated 3-bedroom ground-level condo sleeps 6. It has been recently upgraded with a new couch, table, and fast Wi AC.

The location is amazing—a true hidden gem. It is next to the great waters of Lake Superior, surrounded by tall trees, and has a perfect bike trail to the city of Bayfield. The condo is a one-minute walk to the marina/restaurant. The city of Bayfield is 2.3 mi from Brookside condos. You can hike or bike the Brownstone Trail along the lake.

The space
The condo is located 2 miles from the city of Bayfield. Guests can use the outside marina pool that opens July 1st. The condo has a beautiful view of the trees with small patio outside to enjoy peaceful evenings. There is a grill that guests can use and a wood-burninga fire pit for common use. There is plenty of firewood available.

In addition to amazing outdoor activities, Bayfield is known to be a berry capital with multiple amazing berry farms, cideries, and wineries. Enjoy dinners at the great family-owned little restaurants, try the famous white fish, fried white fish livers, and trout, and remember to cruise into sunset and enjoy a romantic end to an amazing day.

Well behaved dogs are welcomed.

About the condo:

Kitchen—The kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need: pots, pans, cups, plates, utensils, a new knife set, coffee maker, slow cooker, blender, toaster, cookie sheets, etc. There is a table for two to enjoy coffee or tea.

Bedroom 1 – Has a queen bed with a large screen TV with cable.

Bedroom 2 – Has a queen bed with a large screen TV with cable.

Bedroom 3 – Has two twin beds. This is the perfect bedroom for the kids.

Living room—The living room has a nice couch and dining table with seating for 6, along with a TV with cable.

Bathroom—This is a full bathroom with a shower, tub, and sink. The shower/tub is accessed via a step.
Toiletries, towels, sheets, and blankets are all provided. In addition, 1 roll of paper towels and 3 rolls of toilet paper are provided. If you need additional, please contact us and allow a couple of hours for delivery.

Public transportation on the peninsula is provided by the Bay Area Rural Transit (BART), more information can be found on their website.

An EV charging station is located in the parking lot on the corner of Washington Ave. and E. 6th St. in Washburn.

The following shuttles and ferries are also accessible on foot from Reiten Boatyard:

You are just a one-minute walk to two full service marinas, the Portside Bar and Restaurant, a shared outdoor deck and heated swimming pool (during summer months), a shared outdoor fire pit, and more walking trails nearby. This condo is a main level unit, walk-in with no stairs.

Guests have full access to their private condo, shared access to a charcoal grill and firepit, walking trails, and shared access to the Port Superior Marina amenities including an outdoor pool, restaurant, and lounging deck.

Simple private 3 room suite on 1st floor of our century old historic Bayfield house (2 bedrooms, living/dining room and full bath). The living/dining room has comfy chairs, table and chairs, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric tea kettle, plates, cups, silverware etc. Your space is private with private entrance, but closets and dressers contain our belongings. Guests can also use the shared porch, a comfortable place to relax and enjoy beautiful views of the lake n islands.

The space
There are two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen mattress and box spring. The second bedroom has a fold-out double IKEA couch bed with an additional thin memory foam mattress on top.
The best part of this lodging is the great view from the porch. Guests are welcome at all times to share the porch with us or on their own if we are not around. There is comfortable seating and also a dining space outside.

Besides their own private areas/rooms already mentioned, guests have access to the porch (with great views of the lake) and the yard.

There is one cat on the premises, but she is not in the rental area. Because we inhabit this area part of the year, and although we try to clean as well as possible, there is remaining cat dander present in the apartment. If you are highly sensitive, you may have a reaction.

Regarding Guests with Pets:
Guests are permitted one dog weighing 60 pounds or less unless. Guests agree to the following:
The dog must be healthy and up to date on vaccinations; flea and tick free.
Guests will always keep the dog on a leash outside the room.
Guests will not leave the dog unattended in the room (even if kenneled).
Guests are responsible for cleaning up any dog refuse, as well as cleaning the dog before he/she comes indoors.
Guests will clean up dog waste. The dog should be taken to the side yard or street to urinate and defecate. Please do not allow dogs to potty on the main lawn as that is a shared space and may negatively affect other guests' experience.

Upstairs apartment in a family home on a hill in Bayfield with beautiful views of the lake and islands. Century old traditional house surrounded by a quiet neighborhood. We live downstairs and are available to help guests with what to do in the area. Be aware the stair case is a bit steep and may be difficult for guests who have trouble with stairs. Sorry, no pets.

The space
2nd floor apartment in an up and down duplex. Wonderful windows with great views of lake and islands. Century old traditional Bayfield house, hard wood floors and lots of nice woodwork throughout. Residential neighborhood but a very short walk to shops, restaurants and the lake shore.

The apartment has 2 bedrooms, a living room, bath and full kitchen with a roomy dining/lounge area. The main bedroom has plenty of space and lake view, a window AC unit. The 2nd bedroom is a small attic type space with limited headroom and no AC. On hot days this room is cooled by leaving the door open so that the living room AC can allow cool air in. Floor mattress can be put in the living room for more sleeping space.

The first floor open front porch is shared community space. It’s a wonderful place to sit outdoors and look over the lake and islands.

Guest access
The apartment is fully separate from all other spaces in the house. It has its own private door. please note the stair case is a little steep and may not be good for guests who have difficulty with stairs.

Homemade food, Whitefish Livers and quaint lodgings are what Greunke's Inn is known for in the Bayfield area (and well beyond!) This 137-year-old Historic Inn is located in the heart of downtown Bayfield. One block from Lake Superior, the Madeline Island Ferry, Apostle Islands Cruise Service and the several great shops in the downtown area.

The space
Wildrose Room has two and a half bedrooms with two Queens and a Twin bed, private Bath, dorm size refrigerator, WIFI and television. It is on the ground floor of 21 N. 1st Street right next to Greunke's Restaurant. Located in the heart of downtown Bayfield, one block from Lake Superior. We are within walking distance to the Apostle Island Cruise Service and Madeline Island Ferry Line. We are also a Big Top Chautauqua shuttle stop.

Other things to note
There are 2 entrance/exits to the Wildrose Room. Enter the main front porch entrance, go down the hall and unlock the door on the right. once inside you will see the other entrance/exit door. This door leads out to back of building and parking area. The building is also the home of Sgt. Pepperoni's Take Out Pizza and four rental units on the 2nd floor. There is also a locked door in this unit which leads to the basement where the water heater and electrical panel is.

Enjoy your Northwoods vacation in a serene setting just minutes north of Bayfield on the shores of Lake Superior overlooking Basswood Island and the Fedora shipwreck. The two Annex suites are located on the second floor and offer the same amenities and lake views. Each unit is suited for two with a queen suite, a newly remodeled bathroom, living area, and kitchenette. The shared backyard features a firepit and stairs that lead down to the water’s edge.

The space
The Annex No. 1 suite includes a private entry to the living area with a love seat, dining table and chairs, a kitchenette area with a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeepot, dishes and cutlery, and bathroom with single stall shower. The generous sized bedroom features nautical inspired white wood furniture and a queen bed. Vaulted ceilings throughout give this space the ultimate roomy feel for your vacay.

The Annex suites are on the second floor, with private outside stairways and small private decks with lounge chairs and gas grills.
