- "Beautiful home. Lots of space to spread out." - "We had a large group of four families staying here and it was plenty big! The basement was a very fun hangout space for adults as was the movie room and bunk room for kids. The beds were very comfortable and clean. Lights were a bit tricky as others mentioned but many specific directions to help with that! Kitchen was well stocked with spices and bags. Bathrooms also had plenty of clean towels and toiletries! Close to many things and had fun on the nearby trail. Would definitely recommend for a large group!"

Beautiful private home on a 1 Acre wooded lot. This home is an eco-friendly, luxury retreat in a small footprint. 4 bedrooms + a full gym, close to everything from walking trails and parks to stadiums and the Mall of America. 4 fireplaces (2 wood, 1 gas, and 1 electric). With a fenced in backyard surrounded by your own private meditation path. Beautiful sunroom overlooks the backyard and is a wonderful spot for morning coffee/tea. Did I mention the full gym?? Free weights, cardio equipment, and cable machines. Also a very large private office!!

The master bedroom is complete with it's own master bath that includes heated tile floors, a steam shower, and a jetted tub.

Home is 5 bedrooms/3 bath (one bedroom converted to a gym) and accommodates 12: Two queen beds plus a queen sleeper sofa. Two twin beds in another room. And two twin beds in a treehouse/castle bunk bed like you have never seen. Sure to please kiddos (and those young at heart). And an additional blow up mattress for an extra two people.

The lower level has a private office with multiple desks and chairs complete with whiteboards and shelving.

Home has enough room for RV/boat parking as well. Please ask for more info.

We redesigned/rehabbed this home with to be an eco-friendly, healthy home. Happy to talk more about this, but some of the features are: zero voc paint, formaldehyde free bamboo and cork flooring, cabinetry, and woodwork (including glues and stains). Linseed oil stained non-toxic finishes throughout. Reclaimed tile and materials throughout. 3 of the beds feature organic mattresses. Non-toxic cleaning supplies used throughout the home. Radon fan, drain tile, whole house water filtration system uv/carbon, RO machine with multiple outputs, air to air exchanger - all in mind to make the home low-toxin. The home also has very high efficiency windows and spray foam insulation which makes for an awesome cozy retreat in all seasons (including the MN winters!).

*gas fireplace is turned off until winter due to heat kicked out from the pilot light.

*there is one tv in the lower level, with basic cable and internet access. Also a loaded Nintendo and old school Wii for some fun. A foosball table as well. Board games upstairs. Yard games for outside.

Spring/Summer: tons to do. Parks, lakes, playgrounds, MOA, stadiums, beautiful zoo. You may find some garden goodies planted in the organic garden outback.

Fall: absolutely spectacular. You can go on leaf tours, apple picking, to the pumpkin patches for hayrides and corn mazes and fun. And if you catch the timing just right, the backyard is absolutely stunning in the fall. The leaves turn a brilliant gold that surrounds the entire backyard space. Really amazing.

Winter: if you like to go out, there’s a ton to do . Nearby French Park has tons of trails for cross county skiing and snowshoeing. You can go ice skating, ice fishing, and downhill skiing not far away. Or if you like to chill, the home provides an awesome cozy space to sit and enjoy the season. Hot cocoa, fireplaces, snowman built on the back deck. Awesome!

- "We were very comfortable in the apartment. Please be aware, however, that it is on the third floor, and no elevator service." - "My father and I stayed here for 2 nights in June 2018 while visiting nearby family. The apartment isn’t far from the city, but be warned that there are no restaurants, etc., within walking distance so you’ll need to have a car to get around. The apartment is very spacious and has all amenities needed for a long and comfortable stay. The decor is interesting, and while not exactly my style, it is very nice. There are TVs in both bedrooms and the living room, a well-stocked kitchen, and a balcony (though no seating, which would be nice). Overall, the unit is very nice and clean. A few things to keep in mind: there is no central AC. There are window units in the living room and larger bedroom. This wasn’t much of a problem for us; we left the units running and doors open, and each slept with only a sheet. A window unit in the other bedroom would be an improvement. Also, the doorways to the bathrooms are narrow, and the bathrooms themselves are quite small. Again, not a problem for us, but be aware of this if you require accommodations. Finally, the staff was terrific. We had a difficult time checking in because management was ironing out some wrinkles in their short-term check-in process (they usually rent on a longer-term basis, apparently), but they were kind, patient when we started growing impatient, and were very helpful when we had questions."

Lake has 8 mile path, 3 parks/beaches including a regional park for Hiking, boat, kayak, canoe and more for rental.

Lake front property offers a serene feel to your stay, during warm months there are chairs and a dock to soak up the sun on the lakefront as well as access to the lake trail.

Private room has a queen bed, fridge and freezer combo, Keurig Coffee maker, various drinks and snacks, desk, dresser, closet, baggage rack, TV with Chromecast built-in/VIZIO SmartCast Mobile, fan, clock, power strip, lamp and iron/ironing board.

Private bathroom has shower, towels, toiletries and hair dryer.

All towels and bedding are washed with fragrance and dye free detergent.

Lake has 3 parks including a regional park that offers rentals and miles of trails, hiking, biking, ice fishing snow shoeing, CC skiing, snow tubing, Biking, kayaking, canoes, paddle boards and more.

I also have 1 dog in the house.

You can sit out back to grill on the deck, have a nice fire and watch the ducks and wildlife in the pond. Beautiful plants in the dining room and living room. Or you can work from the desk in your bedroom.

You are welcome to access the common space of the property, including living room, dining room, family room, kitchen, office, home theater in the basement and guest bathroom on the main floor. The laundry room is available for long-term guests only, with an additional charge of $8 per load (includes both washer and dryer).

There's a video doorbell next to the front door. No unauthorized guests/visitors please. Only the guests listed in the reservation are authorized to stay on the property. Please do not invite additional guests without prior approval from the host.

At our shared house, we understand the importance of privacy during your stay. I have locks on all bedroom doors for added security, and our home is equipped with a security system for your peace of mind.

For long-term stays (over 28 days) we require a separate background check per guest, which is done through TransUnion Smartmove. The owner reserves the right to cancel a booking if the guest doesn't agree to the terms of the Airbnb rental agreement fully or refuses to sign it.

Condition of property: When you arrive, if you find that the property has not been cleaned to normal standards please notify us immediately. We will do our best to attend to the problems but may not be able to fix everything over holidays and weekends.

Owners have to the best of their ability, given an accurate description of the property and its condition. Guests understand that it's considered as reserved "sight unseen". All electrical, plumbing and appliances should be in working order. The failures of operation of certain extra amenities, such as movie projector, sound bar, TV or the Internet service are not a basis for any refund. Owner will make every effort to have these items repaired but doesn't guarantee that they will be repaired during guests occupancy.

Under no circumstances will any of the rental money be refunded because of the condition of the house. Guests agree to hold owner harmless from any liability for the condition of the property and assume full responsibility from usage of property common areas.

The number of guests should be accurate as this determines the total cost and how the home is stocked. Failure to list the correct number of guests may result in a shortage of amenities in which the host can't be held responsible or reviewed negatively.

Photo ID maybe requested by the host upon check-in. Failure to provide ID upon request will result in immediate cancellation and law enforcement will be called to remove those trespassing if needed.

Visitors are not permitted without prior communication and approval of the host.

Pets are not allowed. A fee of $350 will be charged if animals are found to have been on the property.

Third party booking is not allowed. The person making the reservation must be on the premises for the duration of the reservation.

Persons not listed as a guest in the reservation may be required to leave the property at the host's discretion.

Smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes are not allowed in the home, and windows and doors should be closed when smoking outdoors to ensure the odor doesn't drift back inside. A minimum fee of $600 will be charged if the smell of smoke or vapes lingering at check out or damages are incurred due to smoke or vapes.

The space
Nothing fancy just comfort. Nothing glittery just cozy. Our small guest suite has what I would want if I traveled, a secure & cared for home with a host that appreciates all travelers needs while far away from their own home.

Smaller airy rooms that are above grade. Not a basement or attic conversion. No one is below your ceramic tile floors or above you in the attic space. Usual peace & quiet comes to mind. Our efficient gas boiler provides radiant baseboard heat warming the space in the chilly months. Brand new (October 2024)Central A/C cools it in the heat of summer.

Solid oak doors & a double locked security door is in theTV room between your suite & our part of our home. No lock on bedroom door, lockable bathroom door. Your private entry door has a key code lock with your own private entry code, given after the suite tour when you arrive. It's a very important tour for you to learn where things are & how stuff works. It should not be rushed & takes about 20 minutes.
You are the only one(s) who get your key code when you arrive.

*HEALTH ISSUES INCLUDE MEDICAL CONDITIONS,HEIGHT & WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS.* Your safety is my concern & I need to place safety policies for my standard furnishings. My furniture is not heavily reinforced & Weight limit is 275-300 lbs per guest, for kitchen chairs it's the weight & desk arm chairs the width is restrictive. Makes the desk chairs unusable if guests are too wide to use them safely. The futon & queen bed are standard wood/steel & fabric construction, also weight restricted to under 300lbs./guest maximum 2 guests is 600lbs.
Height should be less than 6'-6" for maximum comfort. The shower stall is only 6'-6" max. Your Health issues need to be shared before your
arrival.

One guest mentioned that Elderly guests may have issues with stepping up into the tub/shower surround. I do not know ages of guests or their mobility problems before they advise me. Out of all my wonderful guests - over200+, (since 2016) only one with two bad knees said it was a problem getting into the tub/shower. I am sure age had nothing to do with the issue. This guest never mentioned the two bad knees at the time of inquiry or after the reservation.
There are also 3 steps in the entry hall with a handrail to assist, up to the TV room & kitchen. As shown in listing pictures.

Rule : NO HUMIDIFIERS OR VAPORIZERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE SUITE. They can produce extra humidity that can create molds & mildew. I am sensitive to these pollutants.
**ASK AT THE TIME OF INQUIRY REGARDING THIS POLICY. These rules are important for my guests safety & the health of my family during your stay here.

The carpeted bedroom is not huge, but comfortably appointed. The queen bed is medium firm & I provide 5-6 different firmness pillows. Most guests that drive here bring their own pillows & say its nice to have their own pillow during their stay. It's difficult for guests who fly into town to bring bulky pillows. Guests get their choice of bedding 1) cotton percale 2) cotton flannel 3) microfiber & 4) fleece. I also have many seasonal decor changes throughout the year. I have 20+ or more decor changes,(my best guess). I also ask the "dread " color(s) question. So, if you can't stand yellow or red or blue, plaid, stripes,checks, animal prints, floral,etc., let me know before you arrive, then your stay can be a colorfully pleasant one.

If you use a C-PAP machine let me know so i can provide an extra side table for it. Rule : no oxygen canisters allowed. Due to the close proximity to your Open flame boiler heat in utility room, along with gas dryer & gas water heater.

I provide Darkening drapes & white noise fan to aid your slumber. ALSO: a very important rule - NO FOOD/BEVERAGE ALLOWED IN BEDROOM (except plastic bottled/canned water) My laundry can be regulated to non use of fragrances & use of baking soda & vinegar to sanitize , if you let me know when you reserve.

As of June 1st 2025 -due to the economic conditions - I can no longer stock edibles in my guest suite. The fridge, freezer & pantry will be emptied for you to bring in your own provisions. Only beverages such as bottled/ canned water are stocked for guests. and Plain Keurig Regular coffee & Decaf coffee pods are stocked, ( If you like flavored pods you'll need to bring them with you.) Also various powdered drinks, powdered milk, creamer & non-dairy 1/2 & 1/2, sweetener & sugar, cocoa mix & tea bags are provided. Ice is provided if you ask at inquiry time or you can buy bagged cubes at our neighboring stores. I'll ask at the time you reserve if ice is needed. Suite edibles are emptied & no longer provided, due to the costly economy. You must bring your own food. There are many restaurants & grocery stores that deliver to our neighborhood if you need that service while you are here. Everyone still gets a homemade bakery treat when they arrive.

Bed linens, towels, rugs, futon bedding, soap, cleaning products, disposable paper products, desk materials are provided. Free Masks are also provided at your desk area. RULE: Guests must not launder my suite linens, towels, rugs or draperies.RULE : I do not launder guests personal laundry. Keep front load washer open when not in use. Dryer should be kept shut when not being used. Please turn lights off when away or at bedtime.

The driveway is long,wide & I need guests to use it. Please do not park in the street.Only one car per reservation, especially in winter months, due to the snow removal as unpredictable as it is. I must be made aware of the extra vehicle before arrival check in. There is no charge for your temporary visitor(s) vehicle, just inform me if they intend to have their temporary visitors park in the driveway ahead of time, year round during stay.

Guests have private entrance, keyless door lock system, deck from TV room to outdoor space (we use the deck to get to & from the garage, to water seasonal deck plantings & shovel snow.). The deck,driveway & sidewalks are shared spaces. The utility room is inside the guest suite. We may need access occasionally to check softener salt level, boiler levels, electrical panel functions, etc. We keep that intrusion at a minimum & notify guests before entering that area. If you are a longer term guest I try to check everything in that room when I do your routine weekly cleaning. I never charge for cleaning my home or your suite.
However, if there is any damage to our property or suite there will be a damage charge to clean, repair or replace anything during or after the reservation. There are no sleepovers or hook-ups allowed in my suite.
This is a safe family neighborhood & my neighbors expect & rely on my guests being responsible & respectable, as most have since 2016.

The suite is an above ground, main level, entire 500 sq.ft.apartment inside the Northwest wing of our slab on grade house. Fully equipped, furnished, toweling, bed linens, pillows, mini-blinds, darkening drapes & toiletry provisions for each guest(s) reservation. That's why its a good thing to know how many guests will be here. One or two. One gets two bed pillows & two guests get four pillows. As well as other provisions, 2 guests get their own supplies & 2 souvenir totes, with bath brush, toiletries, calendar & hand sanitizer. Please make use of this souvenir tote, it was created for you to use while here & afterward at home, to show my appreciation for your reservation.

The suite overlooks your parking spot on our driveway,private parking for one vehicle for account holder guest. (with $10/night extra charge for 2nd vehicle.) Temporary visitors can park directly behind main vehicle during daily visits. Just let us know if you'll be having visitors. No street parking please. We will need to ask guests to move their vehicle(s) around, when we remove snow.

IF YOU BRING AN ELECTRIC GRILL, YOUR ELECTRIC GRILLING IS PERMITTED, BUT MUST BE ATTENDED AT ALL TIMES. NO ICE TRAYS ALLOWED FOR MAKING ICE IN THE FREEZER. GUESTS SHOULD BUY BAGS OF ICE BEFORE ARRIVING OR ASK ME TO MAKE SOME BAGS BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. I DO NOT CHARGE A ROUTINE CLEANING FEE. HOWEVER IF GUESTS MAKE ANY DAMAGE TO OUR PROPERTY, THERE WILL BE A DAMAGE & CLEANING CHARGE.
