Our property is located on the beautiful Lake of the Woods, Ontario Canada, situated approximately three miles west of Kenora. It is a private 4 acre island with a refurbished Big Blue Boathouse. The main cottage is located in the upstairs portion of the boathouse and has two bedrooms, a junior bunk area with 4 beds (5 feet in length), bathroom, kitchen and living room with vaulted ceilings, and a walk around deck. The boathouse also has a bedroom downstairs, at water level, with a queen bedroom and two sets of bunks. A few steps away on the island there is a guest cottage with a queen bed and two single beds up a steep ladder in the loft area. There is only one bathroom on the island, located in the main cabin. There is an outhouse located just a short walk from the sleeping areas. The island is a private island and you will be the only ones on there. You will need to bring a boat or rent one in either Kenora or Keewatin.

They were very friendly and accomodating! The boys were really excited to see where we were staying and enjoyed the fishing & kayaking. The veiw was amazing and so quiet and such a relaxing location . We felt like we had that part of the lake to ourselves since there are not many cabins around and wooded park land directly accross the lake. We will definitley go back. Keewatin is THE most boat friendly place in Kenora! There are several boat launches very close to this home. There is a beach situated nearby (10 mins walk), as well as, two very good local restaurants (901 Westside on Ottawa Street and Timber Garden Chinese Restaurant on Hwy 17), also all within a 10 mins walk! Timber Garden has arguably the best Chinese food in Kenora & is take out only and we recommend booking reservations for 901 Westside - if dining in. They also do phone-in pick up and the food is delicious. Both restaurants have online menus. This home is also minutes away from the Keewatin Recreation Centre. There is a great little grocery store called Keewatin Place on Hwy 17 (two doors down from Timber Garden) Chinese) for all your provisional needs. Try their ‘little boy’ sandwiches for a quick lunch on the go, or grab a ready made roasted chicken for dinner. Truly a gem of a grocer.

Charming 900 sqft cottage on the Winnipeg River , 3 minutes south of Kenora. This quiet cottage is situated on a 1/2 acre lot with a beautiful view of the river. It is great for fishing, swimming, boating, skiing and hiking. There are 2 small kayaks to use and a boat with a 40 h/p motor for rent. The public boat launch is 8 minutes away and there is a boat slip right in front of the cottage. There is a fire pit for bonfires when regulations allow.

There is satellite TV, DVD player, fridge, stove, microwave, pots and pans, utensils and dinnerware. There is propane BBQ on the deck off the kitchen overlooking the river. Bedding and towels are provided.

- "This place and Sherri were great. Water system was too rough to swim in at the time I went based on the record high water levels, but that’s a once in a lifetime thing. Had a great time sitting on the decks and dock, neighbour’s were all great, and if you are on a boat we found some great fishing spots. I typically don’t give 5 stars, but if they had .5 stars I’d give it a 4.5!!! Loved the indoor fireplace."

This is a small, approx. 400 sq.ft single family bungalow home. It is best suited for a single person or a couple. Not accessible for people with ambulatory issues as there is a claw foot tub/shower.

This whole home, deck and yard is accessible. It has it’s own private driveway for 1 vehicle. Free street parking. It is a one way street down a steep hill.

Sorry, we will not ship forgotten items. We do not have the time or the mechanisms to deal with forgotten items efficiently and effectively. We are NOT responsible for items left behind. We strongly advise guests do a thorough check prior to check-out.

Weekly mandatory cleanings are scheduled for guests staying for 14 days and longer. Let us know if garbage needs to be picked up for stays longer than a week.

Beautiful, fully equipped, lakefront Cottage. Located on the shores of Lake of the Woods Ontario, this magnificent cottage features 7 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a beautiful spacious kitchen with granite countertops and a large living space with a magnificent stone fireplace. The large dining room is surrounded by windows, to enjoy the views of the lake and nature. There is a utility room with an extra fridge, freezer and a washer & dryer. The multi-level deck leads down to the water, dock, and boathouse. On the main deck, we have a BBQ, two outdoor dining tables and a hot tub. We also have two kayaks available for guests.

The low rate, is probably the best part of this listing. I charge $50/night. I charge $50/cleaning, but can refund $47 if the trailer is as clean as upon first arrival (not including laundry). Partial refund also, if not as clean. if no cleaning done, it is not refunded.

We store the travel trailer at the end of our driveway because it is the most level part. Therefore, it is definitely too close to our house. Some guests did not like this. This is the best we can do with the space we have.

The space
Driveway may have items set aside for disposal. It is not directly in anyone's way. It does take time for us to get a hold of a truck to dispose of the items. Front yard has a huge tree that drops branches in high winds or storms. These branches also take some time to dispose of.

Guest access
We provide a key so you can lock the trailer if you leave temporarily. Leave the key on the counter when you check out, and you plan on leaving without saying goodbye.

Other things to note
If you do not mention anything during your stay, then please don't fault us because you might have had high expectations. This travel trailer is our peace when we go camping. We love it. It's a good bed, good sleep, and we can cook, watch TV...all we need.

The entrance is private and will lead to the large master bedroom as well as bathroom with laundry facilities. There is no kitchen in the unit but there is everything you need to make tea and coffee as well as a microwave and minifridge. Sliding doors in the master bedroom lead to a deck to enjoy or a BBQ to use. At 70 steps, it’s a bit of a trek to the dock, but once there, you can make use of the paddle board or kayak. Winter tires or all wheel drive highly recommended in winter!

The space
You’ll get the code to your side of the home which includes the entrance, master bedroom and bathroom with laundry facilities. We live on the other side of the home and you may see us in the yard or down at the dock.

Welcome! Our home is situated on Rabbit Lake, in a quaint neighbourhood located right off the trans Canada highway. An easy, peaceful stop for travellers. Whether traveling to Kenora for work or simply passing through, we understand the stressors a long day brings and would love nothing more than to make this stay enjoyable for you!

The space
You will be relaxing in a cozy, modernized room with a double bed (mattress comfort: soft). The room is equipped with a keyless lock, personal wifi (exclusive for guests), reading lamp, plant friends, hooks and shelving. You will also have a private bathroom, across the hall. The guest bathroom is a spacious, 4-piece bath. This room and bathroom are exclusively used by Airbnb guests.

Guest access
Kick your feet up after your travels and relax on our deck overlooking the lake! We hope you don’t mind sharing the view with our pups. This is their favourite place to be.

After a long drive, sometimes a dip in the lake is just what you need. Please feel free to use our dock and enjoy Rabbit Lake.

During your stay
We both work full time 8-5pm or longer, however, are happy to be of assistance in any way we can!

Other things to note
Please know this booking is not suitable for individuals with physical limitations: There are two flights of stairs leading up to our home. Nonetheless, this does make for an amazing view!

Guest Parking is limited to one vehicle only. Apologies, but we cannot accommodate trailers. Please park diagonally in front of the concrete wall.

There is a general food store and local restaurant around the corner, a minutes drive or walk along the waterfront. The downtown area is a quick 10min drive away.

We have two large-breed dogs who love to greet our guests! They will say their 'hellos' to you upon arrival.

Our home accommodates 1 guest and is not advertised as a vacation rental. We take in travellers who are passing through and workers commuting to Kenora. Bookings are accepted based on guest reviews. Thank you for your understanding and safe travels!

We have also seen river otters, mink, wolves, foxes, herons, owls and bears. There is also a great diversity of plant life growing along Mink Bay with an incredible array of wildflowers that change with the seasons.

The space
downtown K-town bachelor suite is in the heart of downtown Kenora, and at the same time it also very private as well.
If you like to be RIGHT in the thick of it, but have your own space too -- then this suite is for you!!!

Note the main floor is a commercial space. It is currently vacant but it may be filled by the time you arrive, but I only allow tenants downstairs that operate during regular business hours.

Parking is available but I need to know at the time of your booking. You will be able to see your vehicle behind the suite at all times and there are security cameras in the parking lot.

If you do not have a car this is a great place to be because you can walk everywhere, including to the grocery stores, restaurants and pubs, rec centre, and you can even easily walk to the hospital (20 min) and to the local beach (35 min).

We have a nice one bedroom apartment on the top of our house. We are located right in the downtown area, just blocks away from the main street, banks and the harbour front. We are one block away from the Lake of the Woods Brewing Company, the Post Office and the mall (No Frills). Two blocks from the Cinema, many shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Not 10 minutes to the lovely Kenora Harbour Front and the Whitecap Pavilion. Take in all the events and a simple walk home.

The space
Our place is a full private apartment with separate living room, kitchen and bedroom. A full private bathroom with a bathtub. It's the upper floor of a house located right near downtown Kenora. I have a hide-a-bed couch (double) if you need a third person place (or fourth if 2 people can cuddle) or where two people would prefer to sleep separately. Heating is Centrally controlled. Changes can be made by Contacting Trish.

Set into the forest and near the trail-head, this rustic cabin is our most secluded. It has a cathedral ceiling with a sleeping loft, indoor kitchenette, outdoor porch and picnic area with fire-pit. Includes access to a wood-fired sauna, dock, hiking trails & canoes, kayaks and SUPs. Guests provide pillows, season appropriate bedding & towels. On 15 acres of mixed forest along Mink Bay this cabin is part of an eco-resort that has the feel of a wilderness getaway yet is 15 minutes from Kenora.

The space
Whether you are looking for rest or adventure, this cabin is the ideal home away from home! Built with timbers from a local sawmill this cozy dove-tail log cabin is set back into the forest part way up a small hill and is our most private accommodation. We named this cabin Nettle, after the prolific, healing wild herb that grows in our rich bottomlands and we hope your stay will be healing for you as well. (For those familiar with nettle’s stinging nature, rest assured there is no actual nettle growing near the cabin!)

The main floor of Nettle is furnished with a woodstove, queen-size futon with comfortable mattress, a well-equipped kitchenette and a small washroom with a sawdust composting toilet. Upstairs there is one bedroom with a platform queen bed and an additional twin mattress that can be pulled out to accommodate a fifth guest.

**Max 2 adults plus 3 kids.
** Guests bring their own bedding, pillows and towels.


Outside the cabin has a small porch, a picnic area and a fire-pit. A cedar shower, wood-fired sauna and dock are available a short walk away.

The kitchenette includes a camp cooler, 2-burner propane cook top, dishes and cookware including a French press coffee maker, dishpan and soap, drinking water and wash water. There is also a 2-burner propane stove on the porch and a grill for the fire-pit.

Filtered drinking water and wash water in 5 gallon camping jugs are included with the rental as Nettle does not have running water. Hot showers are available in a separate cedar pay shower that is located a short walk away. The cost is $1 for 5 minutes and we can make change for you if needed.

The cabin is part of Wild Woods Hideaway, a rustic eco-resort tucked into the forest and along the shores of Mink Bay, near Kenora, Ontario. In addition to cabin-specific features, your rental includes access to several shared amenities including a dock to sit on, swim and watch the sun set from, use of canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards (life-jackets included), hiking trails, wood-fired sauna and a cedar pay shower. Because Nettle is more secluded than our other rentals it is a bit further from the shower, sauna and dock, though still less than a 10 minute walk from everything. Nettle is also our only dog-friendly unit and is located next to the trailhead for the Mink Bay trails.

The head of Mink Bay has been designated a provincially significant wetland and many birds and other animals either make their homes along its shores or stop in during their seasonal migrations. Depending on the time of year you can expect to see a variety of songbirds, waterfowl including pelicans and loons, eagles, partridge, deer, rabbits, turtles and beavers. We have also seen river otters, mink, wolves, foxes, herons, owls and bears. There is also a great diversity of plant life growing along Mink Bay with an incredible array of wildflowers that change with the seasons.
