The home has everything you need, kitchen is well stocked and I especially like the kitchen appliances. The decor is stylish and views of the beach make it relaxing. I've stayed here in the colder season, so having a fireplace to snuggle up to after work is nice. Fast internet and more importantly the beds are comfortable too! Also, communication with the owner is excellent. I've never had to wonder or worry. It's very close to downtown Manistee where you can eat and shop along the river front. ARRIVAL: There is no formal check-in procedure. Arrival details are sent prior to your check-in date and will include the exact location of the property, parking and entry information. Guests will have a private, secure entrance and the rental is not shared by owners or other guests.

DEPARTURE: We do have a very short checklist we ask renters follow upon departure. It includes making sure the property is left tidy, furniture is in the same place you found it, everything is closed, locked and turned off, and the thermostat is set properly. These items will only take a couple of minutes but help staff immensely.

Please know that all rental policies and house rules are strictly enforced. This includes occupancy limits, age requirements, the ‘no parties’ and ‘no smoking’ clauses or any other rule posted online or within the rental. These are often defined by local ordinances, Homeowner’s Associations or other legal requirements and can result in fines or eviction if violated. We do not provide additional refunds for cancellations, late arrivals or early departures except as required in the posted cancellation policy.

The Little River Casino has concerts from famous groups and artists (previous schedules included Chubby Checker, Wynonna Judd, Eddie Money and others), and it has a variety of restaurants. The Ramsdell Theater has excellent live plays and concerts, and the adjoining Manistee Art Institute has excellent exhibitions. Most Manistee restaurants have an all-you-can-eat fish fry dinner on Fridays.

- "This place was a perfect fit for our family. The size and set up of the home was great. There was everything available that we needed." - "Our family and one other vacation together at the end of the summer each year and this was a perfect place to stay. (4 adults and 3 kids) With three levels there was a ton of room to spread out but also there were good sized rooms that we could all be together during meals or game time. The beach was breath taking. On our first night there we drove down to the beach to walk the pier and watch the sunset. The kids enjoyed the play ground there and we found ourselves back the next day to enjoy it during the day. We also made good use of the indoor pool facility for two days when the weather was cooler. The rental was clean and provided plenty of towels for us to use. It might sound silly but I loved having plenty of ice in the freezer from the ice maker. The pans are a little worse for wear, I ended up buying a couple small pans from meijer to use while there. But I loved being able to use the small electric fry pan for French toast and reheating some food we had prepared and brought along. There is a meijer and family fare within 7 minutes and that was helpful too. The neighborhood was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. It was nice to have a garage to use and store our beach accessories while not in use. A beautiful place that we would love to stay at again in the future."

This cozy and relaxing space is a back unit 1 bedroom 1 bath with back yard deck access. This place is small but mighty! Just a short 10 min stroll to 5th avenue beach & a 5 min walk to downtown Manistee! This setup is a bit unique to provide a great little space for your family! The 1 bedroom holds a triple bunk each with twin size mattresses and a rollaway cot which can be used if needed. The living room has two fold out couches. One is your traditional style fold out couch & one is a IKEA folding couch (very cozy). One is full size and one is a queen. Both fit two adults each. The living-room ottoman tranforms into a single rollaway cot perfect for a child or small adult. This unit could sleep 6-9 depending on your personal needs. Unsure? Just ask! We are happy to help determine if this unit will work for your family! The cottage comes with many boards games, TV with internet so that you can watch your own personal Netflix or Hulu account, a gaming system, a fully furnished kitchen, and a visitors guide of all the fun things to do while visiting Manistee!

- "This is a cozy house with room for kids in the bunk room and adults on the 2 sofa beds. Close enough to walk to downtown Manistee and a bit longer walk to the First Street Beach." - "Clean and did the job" - "My mom, sister, two nieces (ages 5 and 9), and I stayed here. It was exactly as advertised. Yes, it is small, but we all slept comfortably and there were still bed options we did not use. If we had bad weather, it would have been tight but thankfully the weather cooperated. Everything is well thought out- there are easy to find instructions for things, a helpful binder, even extras like beach chairs. It is conveniently located, but just beware if you come to the town during 2023, one of the bridges is closed for repairs. So everyone has to cross the river over a single draw bridge. Thank you for hosting us. We enjoyed our brief stay in Manistee."

With two bedrooms, the cottage can sleep 5; the master bedroom has a queen sized bed with memory foam mattress and the second bedroom is equipped with twin over full bunk beds - all made up comfortably with clean, white linens. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials and has brand new appliances, should you choose to bring out your inner chef during your stay. The cottage is equipped with internet, cable, and you can sign into streaming services on the TV via the connected roku stick. Though we recommend taking advantage of the beautiful surroundings and getting out of the house to explore all the shops, restaurants, pubs, historic sites, and coastal scenery that Manistee has to offer.

The cottage was built in 1950 and although it has great bones and lots of updates, there are some remaining quirks, please take note for your stay...
-The bedroom door frames swell when the humidity is high and take a bit of a nudge to close.
-The cottage is on well water. The water has been tested and is verified 100% safe for hygiene purposes and consumption, but as is common with well water, it has a sulfuric smell. A new water filtration and softener system was installed, which remedied the smell in the cold water, but there is a strong sulfur smell that still remains when running the hot water. The hosts are actively working with a contractor to resolve this, but cannot guarantee it's remedied prior to any reservations. A Brita pitcher for drinking water is provided for guests' use.

- "Last minute decision to just get out of town and relax with our pup. This "pet friendly" rental was perfect. We were on the water and since it was off season it was so quiet and serene. Enjoyed our day trips and evenings in with movies and eats. It was the perfect size for us and it was very clean! Would come back again!" - "A last minute weekend away turned into a great find. The space
The house has been completely renovated. Every room has new paint in designer colors. The flooring is all new this season LVP.

There are three bedrooms. Two bedrooms have queen size beds while the third bedroom has a bunk bed with a full mattress on the bottom and a twin on the top. The bedrooms each have comfortable mattresses and new linens. There is one bathroom that has been completely updated. It has an elegant pedestal sink and stand up shower.

There is a full kitchen for you to use during your stay with a full sized refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave. There are dishes, pots and pans for your use as well. There is also a washer and dryer for you to use during your stay.

There is a window unit air conditioner although opening the windows create a nice cross breeze that normally is sufficient in this area of northern Michigan.

Welcome to the Crows Nest, a gorgeous, updated bungalow. The location is, literally, the best of both worlds. Just a 2 minute drive to the beach in one direction or a 2 minute drive to downtown in the other. The beach is beautiful, with the piers and lighthouse in the background and the beautiful white sand. Downtown Manistee has boutiques, bars, restaurants, breweries and even a movie theater. Inside, nothing was forgotten. The cottage is fully furnished and has everything you will need!

Welcome to the Crows Nest, A beautiful cottage in the quaint beach town of Manistee Michigan. The kitchen is fully stocked for everyday meal prep. Dishes, pots and pans, silverware, glass, etc. french press and a drip coffee maker is available for guest use. Additional kitchen items include dishwasher, icemaker, teapot, and toaster. Also included: bed linens, bath towels, basic cleaning supplies and soaps (not personal soaps), and a starter set of paper products.

LOCATION: Located just 10 miles south of Manistee and 26 miles north of Ludington, this amazing property sits atop a bluff with fantastic sunset views with a private water frontage area. With this fantastic location, you’ll have many options to enjoy such as 20 miles to Hamlin Lake, 10 miles to Nordhouse Dunes, or a quick drive to Manistee and Ludington shopping. Maybe your best option is to just hang out on the deck and enjoy the sunset!

Check in time is after 4:00PM and check out time is before 10:00AM. Please note that we are not able to accommodate early arrivals or late departures from May – September. Any request for additional time will depend on availability of the rental and an additional fee may be added to the stay.

ARRIVAL: There is no formal check-in procedure. Arrival details are sent prior to your check-in date and will include the exact location of the property, parking and entry information. Guests will have a private, secure entrance and the rental is not shared by owners or other guests.

DEPARTURE: We do have a very short checklist we ask renters follow upon departure. It includes making sure the property is left tidy, furniture is in the same place you found it, everything is closed, locked and turned off, and the thermostat is set properly. These items will only take a couple of minutes but help staff immensely.

Please know that all rental policies and house rules are strictly enforced. This includes occupancy limits, age requirements, the ‘no parties’ and ‘no smoking’ clauses or any other rule posted online or within the rental. These are often defined by local ordinances, Homeowner’s Associations or other legal requirements and can result in fines or eviction if violated. We do not provide additional refunds for cancellations, late arrivals or early departures except as required in the posted cancellation policy.
