Welcome to the Harbor House Guest Cottage, located in the heart of Ephraim, WI!

Ephraim, with its sparkling harbor and picturesque landscape, is undoubtedly the crown jewel of Door County's bayside villages. That's where you'll find the the Harbor House Guest Cottage, located on a quiet side street at 9801 Brookside Lane.

Our two-bedroom Guest Cottage sleeps a maximum of 5 people - 1 queen bedroom, 1 bunk bedroom (with a full bed on the lower bunk and a twin bed on the top bunk) and one full-size pullout sleeper sofa in the living room.

The cottage features a large screened-in back porch and has a fully equipped kitchen (with new refrigerator and stove), comfortable living room and dining room, bathroom (fully renovated in Spring 2018) and small front deck. Our cottage also provides a 32" SmartTV as well as hi-speed WiFi.

All beds have pillows, bedspreads, blankets, sheets, pillowcases and mattress pads. Bath towels are also provided.

In addition, we provide our guests with use of a Weber charcoal grill, a private outdoor fire pit, Adirondack chairs and use of 4 kayaks. For those with toddlers, a pack-and-play crib and high chair are available.

The Harbor House Guest Cottage is conveniently located approximately two blocks from the Ephraim public beach at 9801 Brookside Lane in Ephraim, WI.

Sister Bay Cottage

Cozy and comfortable cottage located on 1.5 acres just 1.8 miles from downtown Sister Bay. Truly, the pictures just don’t do this spot justice. This great cottage features 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, terrific modern kitchen with basically every appliance you could need, wrap around deck for relaxing and entertaining plus a deck with seating off master bedroom. It is tastefully decorated and furnished and supplied with everything from dishware to cookware to linens and towels to much, much more. The huge fire pit and seating provides a lovely spot to enjoy any mild evening. Cottage is located on a quiet street just off Highway 57 with lots of privacy and trees around the property. Sister Bay is ten minutes from Fish Creek, Ephraim, Ellison Bay and Baileys Harbor – so this cottage puts you right in the middle of everything that northern Door County has to offer. First floor consists of great room with dining area with seating for four, lovely kitchen and cozy living room with vaulted ceiling with fire view propane stove. There is also a first floor laundry area with full sized front loading washer and dryer and storage, main bedroom with queen sized bed, roomy storage and full bathroom. Stairs lead to the loft area with media area and leather seating, second bedroom with queen sized bed and second full bathroom. Cottage has central heating and air conditioning – so it is the perfect spot in any weather. Satellite TV and wifi/internet are provided in case you time to settle in for a bit! We are definitely dog friendly -- with advance agreement. We use Mosquito Squad to treat our 1.5 semi wooded acres to keep mosquitos and tick populations down. Huge firepit with seating. Wrap around deck with gas grill and dining table and chairs. Private deck with seating off main, first floor bedroom.

We will leave bulk sized bottles for your use of hand soap, shampoo and conditioner. We will wash those bottles prior to your arrival. We will leave extra cleaning supplies and sprays under kitchen and bathroom cabinets.

And, in order to provide us with greater time to clean your rentals, we have moved check out time to 10 am and check in time to 4 pm. You can always contact us to see if it might be possible to arrive sooner – but with discharge at 10 am and arrival delayed until 4 pm, we need to have sufficient time to provide you with the cleanest rental possible. Ourdoor furniture will be cleaned as well prior to your arrival. All of our grills are gas grills and we will be certain to leave a back up small gas tank if needed at that rental. Please bag all garbage and leave in the outdoor garbage cans. Lawn care is provided to us every week to two weeks. We are often not aware what date they will be coming – but please rest assured that they will be fast and will not interrupt your visit.

Popular and well appointed, 2 bedroom 2 full bath cottage, with open floor plan. As you enter the door, to your right is the dining area, with table and chairs. To your left is the galley kitchen with breakfast bar and stools. Kitchen includes range/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, regular & per cup coffee brewer as well as dishes, pots & pans, glassware etc. Cook a little, cook a lot , whatever the mood. Off the kitchen is a full bath with tub.
The living room is straight ahead. Windows line the entire wall along the dining area and living room affording you a view of the wooded area outside the cottage. There is a queen size sofa sleeper, comfy chairs, cable TV, DVD player, child safe fireplace, WiFi, and Bluetooth speaker.
The two private bedrooms are accessed to your left (off the kitchen.) The master bedroom hosts a queen size bed, closet and en suite bathroom including shower. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and closet holding stackable washer/dryer.
Outside patio features Adirondack chairs for six, charcoal grill, and urban fire pit. Dedicated parking is right out front.
The cottage stays very comfortable due to thermostat controlled central air conditioning and heat as well as electric fireplace.
Located on Main Street in front of cottage (very short walk.) is the very popular Blue Horse Beach Café. All guests of The Java Hut enjoy discounts at the café including breakfast, lunch, teas, and smoothies, as well as a full coffee/espresso bar.
A great feature of this cottage is its ideal location. Even though The Java Hut is downtown it is still in a quiet area so you get the convenience of shopping, dining, and outdoor recreation but you still have a good measure of privacy as well.

This is comfy, clean housekeeping cottage set on a relaxing secluded getaway on waterfront property. Great place to create lifelong memories at a home base to explore Door County from or just hideaway and relax! A family-owned/managed property. We have generations of satisfied guests and know you'd love your stay at our cottage. Check-in time is 3:00pm or later and checkout time is 10am. This is a quiet community with residential / resort neighbors. This property is geared towards quiet family / guest vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we can't accommodate bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions and or rowdy gatherings.

The Door County Fire Marshall and our commercial insurance provider determines when burning or the use of the fire pit is allowed. Due the hot temperatures this summer (2023) and a sustained period of time over three months with no rainfall, we are restricting the use of the fire pit to protect our guests, neighbors and properties. Some local municipalities have restrictions on burning, including fire pits / campfires during very dry seasons like this.

Quiet hours 10pm to 9am. Mellow, respectful celebrations are fine and we certainly want you to have an enjoyable stay.

There isn't a washer and dryer available for the cottages. There is a laundry mat in Sturgeon Bay that our guests have been using for years during their vacations in Door County. It's called Ship Shape Laundry and is located about 3 miles from us at 828 Egg Harbor Rd #1228, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.

Rowboats no longer available.
No overnight boat docking: We live on an open waterway called the 'Bay of Sturgeon Bay' and boats can't be tied to the dock overnight due to storms and waves. In addition, the water levels by our dock are very low again this year.
Swimming access, launching kayaks and stand up paddle boarding is available from our dock. We don't have kayaks, paddleboards or canoes but you're welcome to bring yours along or rent them from a local business in Sturgeon Bay called Bay Shore Outfitters.

No smoking in cottages per Wisconsin State Statute. E-cigarettes (or vaping) isn’t allowed in the cottages.

This is comfy, clean housekeeping cottage set on a relaxing secluded getaway on waterfront property. Great place to create ‘core’ memories at a home base to explore Door County from or just hideaway and relax! A family-owned/managed property. We have generations of satisfied guests and know you'd love your stay at our cottage.

Check-in time is 3:00pm or later and checkout time is 10am. This is a quiet community with residential / resort neighbors. This property is geared towards quiet family / guest vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we can't accommodate bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions and or rowdy gatherings.

The Door County Fire Marshall and our commercial insurance provider determines when burning or the use of the fire pit is allowed. Due the hot temperatures this summer (2023) and a sustained period of time over three months with no rainfall, we are restricting the use of the fire pit this season to protect our guests, neighbors and properties. Some local municipalities have restrictions on burning, including fire pits / campfires during very dry seasons like this.

Quiet hours 10pm to 9am. Mellow, respectful celebrations are fine and we certainly want you to have an enjoyable stay.

No overnight boat docking: We live on an open waterway called the 'Bay of Sturgeon Bay' and boats can't be tied to the dock overnight due to storms and waves. In addition, the water levels by our dock are very low again this year.
Swimming access, launching kayaks and stand up paddle boarding is available from our dock. We don't have kayaks, paddleboards or canoes but you're welcome to bring yours along or rent them from a local business in Sturgeon Bay called Bay Shore Outfitters.

You will have access to the entire three story home. The master bedroom with queen bed is on the 3rd floor which has an in suite bathroom and walk-in closet and smart TV.

Your second floor living room has a 55' smart tv. Our Cottage is only 10 minutes from downtown Sturgeon Bay and yet offers the Cozy atmosphere of a recently blacktopped one lane rustic road and friendly neighbors. Our Sand beach is Awesome, Great for those morning walks to watch the sunrise with your pet and when the full Moon rises at dusk . This area has been a favorite for tourists for almost 100 years and they keep coming back sometimes permanently. A short walk to to the pierhead Lighthouse and just down the road from The Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Land Trust hiking area with excellent walking trails. Pet friendly with 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds, 2 couches and a rollaway bed comfortable for 4 adults . We have Central Air conditioning and heating for year round comfort. The inside of the cottage has been completely updated keeping with the Historical character of the original Cottage using locally grown lumber whenever possible. There is wood burning fireplace for those cool nights, a screen room off the kitchen and a small front patio out front and a firepit on the beach to relax outdoors . For our security, There is a outside security camera overlooking our parking areas and back yard.

- "beautiful" - "The Cherry Cottage is in a great location. The cottage was cute and suited our needs perfectly. As mentioned in previous posts, the phone service is not great, but I was able to send text messages and make phone calls through Verizon. Trying to look something up on my phone or checking in for my flight was not a possibility. The weather was incredibly windy and cold while we were there, but the house was still nice and warm."

Door County is one of our family's favorite places to be together & explore. Our cleverly designed intimate cottage is close to 2 beautiful parks-Cave Point & Whitefish Dunes. They are a good long walk away or a short bike ride away. Jacksonport is a couple miles north of the cottage & can be a fun place to enjoy a cup of coffee, watch the sunrise at the park or take a kayak tour of the lakeshore.
Biking is one of our favorite things to do in Door County--all 4 of the state parks have incredible spots to bike/hike & cross country ski in the winter.
It can be enjoyed in any season with a woodstove inside. Bring books & cross country skis in the winter & warm up by the woodstove or enjoy family time exploring one of the nearby parks or swimming in the Great Lake Michigan in the summertime.
Gather around the outdoor chiminea for s'mores in the evening & listen to the waves as you watch the stars come out.

There is a custom kitchen with soapstone countertops and finely crafted oak cabinetry, open shelving for the stoneware and glassware at your fine tips. The vintage Viking stove, cookware and utensils, large prep space, many small appliances, stocked spices making it fun to cook a meal . There is a cherry island bar with four cushy stools, a slender teak table that seats four for sit down. A stand up workstation cabinet and a window seat round out the kitchen.

The first floor bathroom has a glass shower with custom tiled with a south facing window. The bathroom vanity sink is situated under an opening north facing casement window

The entire second floor 28x 22 is a king loft bedroom with a sunken bathtub for two and a second vanity sink. A very comfy sofa with chaise and coffee table create an open floor plan /second living room. The upstairs also has an extra vanity sink, a dresser and other options for your personal things and loads of space to stretch out.

The original barn structure came from Whitefish Bay Dunes State Park. Meticulously dissembled piece by piece by the original owner and then ambitiously reassembled and enhanced making the cottage barn refuge a gem. The original timber frame structure has been preserved , along with the original push out casement which we reglazed casement and built new custom screens to fit each window. We recentky added a second floor air conditioner. We invite you to settle and relax into the northern door peninsula!

Dogs are not automatically approved, please introduce you pet to us in your inquiry-

1. Dogs must be completely house trained, no exceptions
2. If dogs are off leash they must be well behaved when sharing outdoor space. If you know your dog can get territorial or aggressive he/she should not be off lease on the property. If your dog chases or is aggressive to cats they should not be off leash on our property.
3. Dogs barking or growling continuously while owners are home or away are not ready to be our guests.
4. Dogs are not allowed on furniture. We know this is hard to manage on vacation when you want to snuggle with your dog. So if you know you may not be able to enforce that rule please bring your own blankets to throw over the furniture.

In Door County the Going Garbage trash service allows all recyclables to be mixed. we really appreciate when deposit their garbage in the bin when they leave. There are three large green bins in front of the pole barn; GREEN lid is for trash, BLUE lid bins for mixed recyclables Please dump recyclables directly in to the bin ( no plastic bag )

LINENS
All linens including duvet, towels, tablecloths, napkins, dish towels, extra blankets, beach towels are provided. Upon departure please place all used linens in the laundry baskets.

FIREWOOD If there I firewood near the firepit feel free to use it !
COFFEE and TEA- we have a drip coffee pot, French press , Chemex and Pour-over available.

APPLIANCES - mixer , blender , coffee grinder, small food processor are available -no microwave or dishwasher .

The Door County peninsula is an International Dark Sky viewing location. Please keep the stars bright by turning off the outdoor lights at night!

This cozy cottage is located right off the main drag as you come into Egg Harbor. It is in a private setting, surrounded by trees, yet is within walking distance to the Egg Harbor beach and all the town has to offer. There are bikes in the shed you are free to use, and the connected country roads are great for bike rides! The backyard has a deck and furniture for relaxing, as well as a grill and a picnic table, and a firepit. The front porch also has furniture for some R&R time. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials. There is an electric fireplace in the living room for some added ambiance. The TV has Samsung TV Plus channels, or you can use the wi-fi and hook up to one of your own entertainment app profiles.

This location is also ideal for winter stays, and a snowmobile trail runs near the property. Winter is also a very peaceful and quiet time to stay here. Plenty of places stay open year-round, and there will be no crowds and long lines to have to contend with like there may be in Summer.

The Glass House on Birch Bluff is named in honor of Fredrica “Fritzie” Glass who had it built in 1969. Fritzie was an artist, teacher and author who led a rich life both in Milwaukee and Door County. We’ve tried to honor her love of nature and beauty in this space.

The Bungalow at Potawatomi State Park is a newly updated cottage only minutes from all that Door County has to offer! Located on a private 12 acre wooded lot with walking trails surrounded by vacant land you can enjoy the peace and quiet of Door County! Our cottage is situated on the “quiet side” of Door County on the meandering Glidden drive along the Lake Michigan shoreline. The cottage is perched upon a small hill and surrounded by pine trees in a relaxed country setting. Guests have dedicated access to Lake Michigan right across the street. The sand beach provides for an excellent location for kayaking, sunbathing, swimming, and walks. Glidden Cottage is only five miles from Sturgeon Bay.

Accommodations are for four people with approximately 800sqft of total living space. There are two bedrooms, one full bath, kitchen, living room, and sunporch. Kitchen includes a small oven/range, refrigerator, and microwave. The master bedroom includes a queen size bed, and the second bedroom includes two twin mattresses. Both bedrooms include closets with space to store your clothes and other belongings. There is a sun porch with a futon bed. The living room includes a TV and a natural stone fireplace to help take the chill out of the air on cool nights. A small amount of firewood is provided to get you started with fire building. A wrap-around deck circumscribes the cottage, and features an enclosed portion, providing a refuge from the bugs. Complimentary wi-fi internet is included. Access your Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services on the brand new smart TV. Onsite parking is available for two vehicles. Feel free to bring a small watercraft with you. Lily Bay Park boat ramp is just a half-mile down the road. A pack-n-play is available upon request. Guests must be able to climb stairs to access the entrance. In the wintertime you’ll have to walk up stairs to reach the cottage. The hill driveway isn’t accessible in the winter. I have left shovels at the top of the stairs and bottom if need for snow.
