Two doors down from the Mushroom houses!!! Tucked in the center of Charlevoix, a home perfectly located between town and beach. Once you arrive, forget the car! Lake Michigan Beach Park is 1.5 blocks and the heart of downtown Charlevoix is 1.5 blocks! So easy for the whole family to get around, even children and grandparents!
More than a rental, this cozy home blends historic architectural detail with today's modern amenities. White plank ceilings, bead board covered walls and original restored floors add character. A new gas fireplace, standup shower, claw foot tub, wifi, cable, Weber grill, and fully stocked kitchen will make it easy to relax! A pretty view, directly across from beautiful Charlevoix library!
We want your stay to be peaceful and beautiful. You will have a very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing space with everything you need! A mix of local shop finds with artwork and bedding from Anthropologie :) You'll love the feel as soon as you walk in.
Three bedrooms upstairs to sleep seven in beds and a first floor daybed in the sunroom for the eighth person! We offer conveniences like first floor bathroom, washer and dryer, cable TV, high speed internet, Bose radio, fully equipped granite kitchen, new quilts and throws, Tempurpedic mattress for a perfect sleep, portable crib, beach towels, large cooler, huge beach wagon, shampoos, bath salts, and on and on. We think we've thought of it all to make packing light and your stay easy and great!
Parking is on the street right in front of the cottage, no driveway. We have a beautiful little front yard with a patio table and chairs to eat outside. The white wicker rocker is on the covered front porch. We also have a side deck with a Weber grill. There are 2 beautiful parks right directly across the street from us at the library!
We know how hard it is to plan a family vacation with all the time and research involved. If you are lucky enough to have found any of our cottages in downtown Charlevoix you do not need to look any further. We are our hardest critics (and have a big family to test them out!). From having the cleanest cottages and THE BEST cleaning staff on VRBO to having the most comfortable beds with high end bedding, best stocked kitchens and all around experience, there simply is not a better place to stay in Northern Michigan. All of our cottages in Charlevoix are occupied 100% of the time from mid May to October so please do not hesitate to book (early). We had many instances where guests waited a few hours to book and their week was taken in that short amount of time.

- "Great time in Charlevoix. Adorable house. Walking distamce to everything." - "Very nice, clean and comfortable place. Check in went well and the house was great. The only issue we had was that the breaker for the bathroom lights tripped a couple of times. Not sure what we had plugged in to trip it but it really was no big deal. Located on a scenic bluff directly on Lake Michigan, come and enjoy the relaxing view from the large deck, enjoy walks along the beach and playing in the water. There is a biking/walking trail located at the end of the drive that leads to Petsokey and Charlevoix. If you like to shop, there are plenty of shops located in nearby Petoskey and Charleviox. After a day of exploring, enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants or sit on the beach and enjoy the sunset. There is so much to do you will have to come back year after year.
- "A-Frames have always appealed to me and this gem did not disappoint! Very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The cottage makes great use of space and was perfect for 4 adults and 2 teen boys. The view is gorgeous! We made many meals in the well equipped kitchen and enjoyed the deck and beach. We were able to have several fires on the beach watching the glorious sunsets! We stayed over the 4th, another house in the association shot off fireworks on the beach and we could see Harbor Springs’ display across the lake. The location is just perfect! We rented a pontoon from Tommy’s on Walloon Lake, spent several days at Petoskey State Park beach, hit a Farmers Market in Harbor Springs, drove all around Lake Charlevoix! Enjoyed a great meal at the The Landing, ice cream at the Dairy Grill and at Murdick’s later in the week. We visited a few of the wineries. The Spare Key is very close and my favorite. Great fresh cherry stand down the road. The lavender farm nearby was a nice visit too. We also made plenty of time for playing board games, riding bikes, fishing, playing in the beautiful Bay just down the steps from the cottage and had so much fun Petoskey stone hunting! Cheryl made everything so easy and provided so many nice comforts for our arrival. Comfortable beds, nice hot showers. We had a wonderful week, would highly recommend this great place and we do hope to come back! Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!"

Located just north of Round Lake between Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix in a quiet neighborhood of magnificent, large homes. Right around the corner from downtown (1.5 blocks). Our cottage is only a one minute walk to a Lake Michigan public access!
Large Weber Grill, antiques from around the world, and a fully stocked kitchen. There is not a better large home in all of Charlevoix to host large gatherings. They say location is everything, add the best location, a huge flowing floor plan and one of the most beautiful historic streets and backyard with comfortable furnishings and authentic curated cottage decor. We own 6 cottages all within a half mile of downtown Charlevoix and a 4 luxury units in the middle of downtown and they are booked 100% of the time from June until the end of October. Our attention to every single detail separates us from the rest. We know how hard it is to choose a cottage, there are hundreds out there. We are our hardest critics and have used our travel experiences from all over the world to bring you the best guest experience possible. We do not use a vacation rental management company. You are our top priority. We often clean, resupply the house, landscape and everything in between! :)

- "The area was gorgeous and the kids loved exploring the house." - "The host was easy to communicate with and the property was as listed. The location and the cottage vibes were on point. We enjoyed our stay here and could see ourselves coming back." - "Quaint cabin super close to the lake and trails. Dogs LOVED it! Host was very responsive and ensured we had a pleasant stay" - "Lovely location in the trees a few minutes walk to the lake where you can sit admiring the view on the benches or explore the mainly rocky beach. Met lots of friendly neighbours there whilst watching sunsets over the lake. The sandy beaches can be walked to through the woods. The log cabin is definitely unique with lots to explore! The newer section with the sun room, large shower room and very well designed bathroom was a pleasant surprise. The historic log cabin part is very pretty. The kitchen is in the older part and although functional is very small. Loads of cooking utensils though and basic ingredients. Outside there are lots of comfortable chairs/ loungers although a patio table to eat outside would be nice. Initial entry was through the kitchen but I think more impact would be made if the first impression would be made through the new back door. Laura was very responsive and helpful with any queries."

- "Very peaceful" - "We had a wonderful stay at the Cottage. Close proximity to all of the attractions in Charlevoix (Round Lake, Lake Michigan, and Lake Charlevoix). The Cottage was cozy and had everything we needed. Beach access to Nowland Lake was also perfect for the dog, and we enjoyed the firepit at nighttime. Any and all of our questions were quickly answered throughout the stay. We will definitely stay again! Thank you!" - "We enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage. It was an easy drive into Charlevoix and to all our vacation adventures. The cottage had a pleasant country location in a small private neighborhood with a sunset view from the windows and patio of the peaceful lake. Our children were very comfortable on the pull-out sofa bed. Alison was proactive in reaching out to see if we had any needs and to ensure we were enjoying our stay, and quickly responsive to any questions. It was apparent that a lot of care had been taken to equip the home and make it comfortable for guests. The cottage was very clean and we felt relaxed and at home. The stars are also beautiful at night!"
