This is comfy, clean, classic housekeeping cottage set on a relaxing secluded getaway on waterfront property. Great place to create lifelong memories at a home base to explore Door County from or just hideaway and relax! A family-owned/managed property. We have generations of satisfied guests and know you'd love your stay at our cottage. Check-in time is 3:00pm or later and checkout time is 10am. This is a quiet community with residential / resort neighbors. This property is geared towards quiet family / guest vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we can't accommodate bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions and or rowdy gatherings.

The Door County Fire Marshall and our commercial insurance provider determines when burning or the use of the fire pit is allowed. Due the hot temperatures this summer (2023) and a sustained period of time over three months with no rainfall, we are restricting the use of the fire pit to protect our guests, neighbors and properties. Some local municipalities have restrictions on burning, including fire pits / campfires during very dry seasons like this.

Quiet hours 10pm to 9am. Mellow, respectful celebrations are fine and we certainly want you to have an enjoyable stay.

No overnight boat docking: We live on an open waterway called the 'Bay of Sturgeon Bay' and boats can't be tied to the dock overnight due to storms and waves. In addition, the water levels by our dock are very low this year.

Swimming access, launching kayaks and stand up paddle boarding is available from our dock. We don't have kayaks, paddleboards or canoes but you're welcome to bring yours along or rent them from a local business in Sturgeon Bay called Bay Shore Outfitters.

The Cottage is tucked on a wooded lot along the shores of Lake Michigan on scenic Glidden Drive. The family-friendly location features a large private sand beach and close access to hiking in the Shivering Sands Natural Area.

The Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. It features an open kitchen, living and dining area with a wood-burning fireplace, gas furnace, ceiling fan and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Michigan.

The kitchen (new in 2019) features a full-size refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender and dining table. All pots, pans, plates, glasses, cutlery and everything else you'll need for cooking is there for you to use.

One bedroom has a queen-sized bed, the other has a full-size bed. Both beds have new mattresses, cotton sheets, a lightweight cotton blanket and a heavyweight down comforter.

Outside, enjoy a large front porch, a charcoal grill and plentiful opportunities for walking, sunbathing and swimming.

Sturgeon Bay (8 miles away) offers grocery stores, laundromats, a YMCA, museums, theaters, a boat launch and more. Fish Creek, Egg Harbor, Jacksonport, Bailey's Harbor and other towns are also close by. Enjoy shopping and sight seeing and then return to your own retreat on Door County's 'quiet side.'

Kid-friendly activities in Door County include pick-your-own berries and cherries, miniature golf, an old-time drive-in movie theatre, lighthouses, museums, horseback riding and lots of ice cream stops.

If your kids are older, bring your bicycles, as Whitefish Dunes State Park, Cave Point County Park and warm Clark’s Lake are all an easy 7-mile pedal away from the Cottage.

Right at the Cottage, of course, you've got your own 'sand box' and a 'big swimming pool' right out your front door. You and the kids will enjoy building sand castles, collecting and painting rocks, catching crawfish in nearby Shivering Sands Creek, watching wildlife, flying kites and lots more.

In the evenings, build a fire in the outdoor fire pit and make s'mores or enjoy a fire and a board game inside. There's TV, cable, a DVD player and WiFi if you can't live without it, but you'll find lots of other things to do too.

The Cottage sits just outside the 485-acre Shivering Sands Natural Area, a property of the Door County Land Trust. The area, along Glidden Drive and south of Whitefish Dunes State Park, contains 19 natural landscapes, including dunes, kettles, swales, old and present shorelines, small lakes, streams, ponds, fens, bogs and forests. The area is recognized as an Important Bird Habitat by the Audubon Society. There are marked hiking trails that you can enter in several places along Glidden Drive.

Boat launch opportunities: If you’re a boater, launch in Sturgeon Bay and choose between fishing the harbor, Green Bay or Lake Michigan. Or use Glidden Drive’s public Lake Michigan boat launch located just a few miles south of The Cottage.

The Cottage has been in our family since it was built more than 50 years ago. We started renting our family cottage in 2009, which has been a great success for us and for our visitors. It's a haven that we've chosen to share. Thank you and enjoy!

Your washer and dryer are also located on the second floor. Our Cottage is only 10 minutes from downtown Sturgeon Bay and yet offers the Cozy atmosphere of a recently blacktopped one lane rustic road and friendly neighbors. Our Sand beach is Awesome, Great for those morning walks to watch the sunrise with your pet and when the full Moon rises at dusk . This area has been a favorite for tourists for almost 100 years and they keep coming back sometimes permanently. A short walk to to the pierhead Lighthouse and just down the road from The Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Land Trust hiking area with excellent walking trails. Pet friendly with 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds, 2 couches and a rollaway bed comfortable for 4 adults . We have Central Air conditioning and heating for year round comfort. The inside of the cottage has been completely updated keeping with the Historical character of the original Cottage using locally grown lumber whenever possible. There is wood burning fireplace for those cool nights, a screen room off the kitchen and a small front patio out front and a firepit on the beach to relax outdoors . For our security, There is a outside security camera overlooking our parking areas and back yard.

They are a good long walk away or a short bike ride away. Jacksonport is a couple miles north of the cottage & can be a fun place to enjoy a cup of coffee, watch the sunrise at the park or take a kayak tour of the lakeshore.
Biking is one of our favorite things to do in Door County--all 4 of the state parks have incredible spots to bike/hike & cross country ski in the winter.
It can be enjoyed in any season with a woodstove inside. Bring books & cross country skis in the winter & warm up by the woodstove or enjoy family time exploring one of the nearby parks or swimming in the Great Lake Michigan in the summertime.
Gather around the outdoor chiminea for s'mores in the evening & listen to the waves as you watch the stars come out.

Walk out the door to your own sand beach on Lake Michigan at Lily Bay. This charming cottage has 2 bedrooms, a living room with wood-burning fireplace, a kitchen, and a bath. Bedroom 1 has a newer queen-sized bed, bedroom 2 has a newer double, new twin, and a new double-sized futon. There is a relaxing screened-in porch with a table and chairs to enjoy your homemade (or take-out) meals while watching the waves washing up on your own beach. The cottage is located just 5 mi from Sturgeon Bay for your shopping convenience. Bicycles are provided to help you enjoy a leisurely ride along the lakeshore on Glidden Drive or take the ride to the canal and view the lighthouse. For the boaters, the Lily Bay boat ramp is 3 doors down. A charcoal grill and rowboat are also provided. Both bedrooms have new wall heaters installed for those chilly nights.

This listing is for a cozy, nautical and vintage cottage named Harbor Home sits at the heart of Robertson's Cottages on the sheltered shoreline of Sawyer Harbor. In Harbor Home you will find a completely furnished kitchen, one bathroom with an antique claw foot bathtub and shower, a living room centered around a hand crafted, Door County field stone fireplace, two bedrooms-both of which queen beds inhabit and a plethora of nautical antiques from an early 1900s steamship called the SS Christopher Columbus. On the south side of the living room an original glass door opens up into a bright and cozy sun room. It is home to one double bed and a plaid poofy couch which is a perfect spot to admire the enchanting wooded bluff of Potawatomi State Park, marvel at an intriguing variety of migrating and native shorebirds, observe a smidgen of Sturgeon Bay’s ‘skyline’ which elegantly illuminates the harbor from dusk ‘til dawn, and relax your bones with a good book after a day wholeheartedly experienced. A porch at the stern of the cottage is a favorite location for hearty morning coffee conversations and evening cocktails/togetherness alike!

Guests of Robertson’s Cottages have access to our spacious permanent pier (8ft x 120ft), protected moorings with finger piers, boat slips, a canoe, row boats, two paddle boards, life jackets, communal fire pit, laundry room, library, sauna, play structure with two swings and a slide, picnic tables, tether ball, safe sandy beach, swim raft, charcoal grills and free, turtle's pace, wavering wireless internet (realistically, you may not be able to binge watch your favorite series on Netflix or participate in online gaming while staying at Robertson’s, BUT you should be able to check emails and post your Door County sunset photo on social media!). ↟↟↟

Idlewild is located at the juncture of the waters of Green Bay, Sturgeon Bay and Sawyer Harbor. The rejuvenating scent of the forest, the pristine waters and the closeness with nature makes it easy to take a break from the cares you left behind. Directly across the harbor from Robertson’s you will see the steep, densely wooded bluff of Potawatomi State Park. The 1,225 acre sanctuary is perfect for bicycling, bird watching, hiking, observing native Door County flora and fauna, picking wild berries in season and picnicking. The park is open year round from 6am-11pm.

As nature changes the landscape in the spring, the woods become blanketed with white trillium. Life unearths gradually and proceeds swiftly this time of year in Idlewild. Nearby apple and cherry orchards bloom in late May and walleye fishermen quietly troll the harbor every night. With over 200ft of shoreline, a historical and spacious permanent pier (8ft x 120ft), and protected moorings with finger piers and boat slips, Robertson’s is a gem of a place for boat, fishing and nature lovers alike.
In autumn, the view across the protected water of Sawyer Harbor is spectacular. One can observe the slowly changing panorama of colors and feel the refreshingly crisp fall air settle deeply in your lungs. The fresh, sun-warmed days and water-cooled nights are sure to make you feel stronger in body and soul.

If activity is what you enjoy, there is a challenging eighteen hole golf course located at the entrance to Idlewild. You may also have interest in a day trip to the more populated areas of the county where you may indulge in village shopping, delight in local festivals, or flavor locally crafted beer or wine at one of the various craft breweries and wineries. One of our personal favorite activities, perfect for any age, is embarking on an afternoon adventure up the peninsula for a picnic and evening musical at Northern Sky Theater located in Peninsula State Park. Their incredible outdoor venue and all original productions are sure to fill your hearts with joy and wonder.
Whether you are bicycling the winding, wooded, back country roads, taking an invigorating morning meander or cozy sundown voyage by boat to nearby historic Sherwood Point Lighthouse, or are curled up with a favorite book on the dock or in front of the fireplace, the closeness with nature and time spent with your closest loved ones at Robertson’s Cottages at Idlewild will leave a genuine and lasting impression in your hearts.

Long time visitors and passing through vacationers alike are regularly heard describing Robertson’s as their ‘happy place’, their ‘home in Idlewild’ or, ‘a little slice of heaven on earth’...that being said, we would like to take this opportunity to be clear and direct about the practical details and realities of life at Robertson’s Cottages at Idlewild. We appreciate your unconditional understanding as we attentively and heartily navigate the ins, outs, ups and downs of anything and everything that arises with(in) these remarkable, rustic and vintage (OLD) cottages.

Sometimes the sink drips and sometimes the shower leaks. There are leftover rust stains in the claw foot tubs from generations of use and the vintage bed frames tend to wobble. The fireplaces and wood stoves are decades old, time tested and insurance approved. Be weary of the wind and green wood sold. Smoke MAY enter your cottage when in use - if so give the 'cracking an ol' window trick' a try to see if that helps.

We do not provide firewood, bed sheets, pillow covers, bath towels, beach towels, toiletries, hair dryers, cable television or pantry items other than salt & pepper. Not a single one of our cottages available includes air conditioning. All of the cottages feature ‘almost’ all original windows to finagle open, a rejuvenating harbor breeze and a few beloved fans to push the midsummer air around on the most humid nights. Traditionally, this area is known as “Nature’s Air Conditioned Vacationland”...but if it's sweaty o'clock and you have reached a point of physical, mental or emotional discomfort, we highly recommend a good ol’ fashioned dip in the lake. Nothing soothes a sweaty body or nurtures an inner child more than jumping off the end of the dock!

The wilderness is right outside and all around us. A stay in Idlewild means experiencing nearly the full spectrum of the natural world. Animals of Idlewild you may encounter during your stay include, but certainly aren't limited to, black squirrels, flying squirrels, red squirrels, regular (grey) squirrels, bats, Bubba (Robertson’s resident Bulldog), bunnies, chipmunks, deer, foxes, muskrats, mice, opossums, porcupines, raccoons, skunks and woodchucks...not to mention a PLETHORA of native and migrating birds, a variety of scaly slithery friends (who at times choose slither swimming as a means of transportation from one destination to the next) and bugs. Bugs have zero restrictions in Idlewild. Occasionally you may find a spider in the shower, experience the delightful buzz of a mosquito near your ear, or meet our little friends the gnats who are known for squeaking through screens in the evenings if lights are left on.

As you mentally prepare for a stay at Robertson’s, taking a moment to visualize this experience as ‘camping’ in conjunction with the MODEST amenities of a charcoal grill, coffee maker, refrigerator, stove and oven, cookware, tableware, microwave, mattress, pillows, extra blankets, a VERY small television and DVD player, flush toilets, warm showers, walls and a roof over your head, we feel you will have a memorable experience. Pre Season (Beginning of May - June 20), Peak Season (June 20 - August 22) & Post Season (August 22 - End of October)

There is a two night minimum stay for all Pre and Post Season dates. Over Memorial Day Weekend, Labor Day Weekend and Columbus Day Weekend there is a three night minimum stay requirement. During Peak Season there is a minimum 7 night stay requirement, arriving on Saturday and leaving the following Saturday.

Please Bring: Bed sheets, pillow covers, bath and hand towels, beach towels, toiletries, hair dryer, and pantry items.

Pet Policy: Dogs are warmly welcomed guests at Robertson’s. There is a per night per pet fee. Small orange shovels are located around the property for cleaning up after your pet. When leaving a pet unattended in a cottage we ask that you make arrangements to check in on them for their safety and to avoid damages to the cottages. If you would like furniture coverings for your pet(s) please do not hesitate to ask! We are more than happy to supply you with some!

Boat Mooring: There is a per night per boat fee. We are able to guarantee one boat slip per cottage-typically more are available. If you are bringing a boat please let us know when reserving so we may add the boat slip fee to your total.

Extra Guests: Each Cottage is set up to comfortably sleep up to 6 people. There is a charge per extra guest over 6 guests (of any age) per night, up to 8 guests per cottage.

Check in time is anytime no earlier than 2pm and check out time is no later than 10am.

Kid Friendly: The Marina Cottage is kid friendly and is an ideal set-up for a fun family vacation. The association amenities such as the swimming pool are located immediately to the east. Safe, quiet neighborhood two blocks from downtown Sturgeon Bay.

You will have access to the entire three story home. The master bedroom with queen bed is on the 3rd floor which has an in suite bathroom and walk-in closet and smart TV.
The guest bedroom with a queen bed, walk in closet and a guest full bathroom are located on the second floor.

Your second floor living room has a 55' smart tv. You can log into your favorite streaming services such as, Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Apple TV, Hulu, Paramount+, Peacock, YouTube TV, Spotify, iHeart Radio and more. Your washer and dryer are also located on the second floor. In the laundry room you will find an iron and ironing board, sheets and blankets for the pull out couch (located in the second floor living room) and a few boxes of laundry detergent to get you started.

On the first floor you will find a 43' smart tv. You can log into your favorite streaming services such as, Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Apple TV, Hulu, Paramount+, Peacock, Youtube TV, Spotify, iHeart Radio and more. The Bungalow at Potawatomi State Park is a newly updated cottage only minutes from all that Door County has to offer! Located on a private 12 acre wooded lot with walking trails surrounded by vacant land you can enjoy the peace and quiet of Door County! Potawatomi State Park is only about a 5 minute walk away which offers boat launch, cross country skiing, swimming, kayaks, hiking, biking, snowmobiling and more! The Cottage is 2.5 miles to downtown Sturgeon bay as well! AC and Internet!

The space
Right outside your door is 12 acres of woods that provides walking trails throughout. There is a silo on the property and plenty of wildlife. Enjoy the evenings by the firepit or simply relaxing on the new porch.

The Central AC and Heat are new! Also just added in 2019 a full water filtration system with water softener and iron filters!

The home offers a 55 inch flat screen TV with all the local channels, Blue Ray Player and it is a smart TV for streaming abilities! We have Hughes Net internet for your wireless internet needs. There is a charcoal grill and a fully stocked Kitchen. Sit back and enjoy the electric fireplace while watching your favorite movie or just enjoying the wildlife out the window!

Welcome to our Door County Cottage in the heart of historic Sturgeon Bay! Our cozy marina cottage is the best of both worlds. It is located right on the water having its own private dock, yard, and fire pit. It's also close to downtown. Walk to restaurants, shops, parks, and marinas. Our cottage is an older home that has been extensively renovated with modern appliances. Enjoy watching the boat traffic from the second story deck. Two kayaks are provided or bring your own boat.

Our cottage is situated on the “quiet side” of Door County on the meandering Glidden drive along the Lake Michigan shoreline. The cottage is perched upon a small hill and surrounded by pine trees in a relaxed country setting. Guests have dedicated access to Lake Michigan right across the street. The sand beach provides for an excellent location for kayaking, sunbathing, swimming, and walks. Glidden Cottage is only five miles from Sturgeon Bay.

The space
Accommodations are for four people with approximately 800sqft of total living space. There are two bedrooms, one full bath, kitchen, living room, and sunporch. Kitchen includes a small oven/range, refrigerator, and microwave. The master bedroom includes a queen size bed, and the second bedroom includes two twin mattresses. Both bedrooms include closets with space to store your clothes and other belongings. There is a sun porch with a futon bed. The living room includes a TV and a natural stone fireplace to help take the chill out of the air on cool nights. A small amount of firewood is provided to get you started with fire building. A wrap-around deck circumscribes the cottage, and features an enclosed portion, providing a refuge from the bugs. Complimentary wi-fi internet is included. Access your Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services on the brand new smart TV. Onsite parking is available for two vehicles. Feel free to bring a small watercraft with you. Lily Bay Park boat ramp is just a half-mile down the road. A pack-n-play is available upon request. Guests must be able to climb stairs to access the entrance. In the wintertime you’ll have to walk up stairs to reach the cottage. The hill driveway isn’t accessible in the winter. I have left shovels at the top of the stairs and bottom if need for snow. I also have salt for you too. No smoking is allowed inside the cottage. People of all backgrounds are welcome to book with us. Door County is one of our family's favorite places to be together & explore. Our cleverly designed intimate cottage is close to 2 beautiful parks-Cave Point & Whitefish Dunes. They are a good long walk away or a short bike ride away. Jacksonport is also nearby & can be a fun place to enjoy a cup of coffee or watch the sunrise at the park. And we're driving distance from all the other communities with their shops, beaches, restaurants & activities.

Biking is one of our favorite things to do in Door County--all 4 of the state parks have incredible spots to bike/hike & cross country ski in the winter.
It can be enjoyed in any season with a woodstove inside. Bring books & cross country skis in the winter & warm up by the woodstove or enjoy family time exploring one of the nearby parks or swimming in the Great Lake Michigan in the summertime. Gather around the outdoor chiminea for s'mores in the evening & listen to the waves as you watch the stars come out.

We are proud and thankful to have the best professional cleaning service prepare our cottage in between stays as that is an important piece of hosting to us.

Although our location is close to numerous places and spots to explore, we think you can be perfectly content with our cheery cottage that offers beauty & activity--inside & out. 3. Cancellation Policy: 100% refund 14 days before check-in, 50% refund 7-14 days before check-in, Otherwise, no refund. No exceptions.

4. Parties / Large Gatherings: No parties or events at the house. Please kindly refrain from bringing unregistered guests into the house. Please also respect quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am Sunday - Thursday and 11:00pm to 7:00am Friday - Saturday.

5. Parking: No parking is allowed on the street or the front yard. No campers or RVs allowed.

6. Pet Policy: No pets allowed

7. Wifi: The WiFi from Door County Broadband is typically fast and reliable although slowness can occasionally occur due to the rural location.

8. Dock: The dock is typically in the water May through September - subject to water level and weather.

9. Listing Accuracy: We strive to maintain listing accuracy through regular updates, but errors occasionally occur. If there is an error outside of our control, we will attempt to resolve, but are not liable.

10. Bugs and Pests: We make every effort to control bothersome insects through measures like regular pest control, cleaning, and trash services. However, pests may occasionally appear due to the rural nature of the property and should not be considered a reflection of the cleanliness of the home.

Waterfront guest cottage on Door County's Gold Coast! Nestled among luxury homes, this quaint 1930's cottage has undergone an interior renovation while preserving its character on the outside. Two bedroom, one full bath, stocked kitchen, living room. Located steps from the bay with a private beach. Hear the gentle sound of waves lapping on the shore as you sleep. Bring your kayak and fishing poles. Perfect for anyone seeking a quiet retreat!

The space
Bayside Cottage is uniquely located on the Sturgeon Bay shorefront on exclusive Bay Shore drive. Close enough to the city of Sturgeon Bay to provide quick access to local shopping and restaurants, yet far enough away to make for a relaxing country retreat. Guests have access to 100ft of waterfront with approximately half comprised of sand/rock beach. Built before modern shore land zoning laws, our cottage is only a few feet from the waterfront. Sturgeon Bay is well protected, making for safe water sport activities. Excellent spot for swimming, kayaking, fishing, etc.

Accommodations are for three people. Approximately 600 sq ft of living space with two bedrooms and a full bath. There are a few steps to get into the home but the living spaces are all located on the same floor. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes dishwasher, range/oven, and refrigerator. Dining area with small table with two chairs to enjoy your meals. Living room includes a small couch and two comfortable chairs to relax and enjoy the view. Just go to the local grocery store once and you are all set. Nearly everything else is included. Sleeping accommodations include a master bedroom with queen size bed and a second bedroom with twin bed. Both bedrooms have small closets to stow your belongings. Free wi-fi internet access. Fully insulated with furnace and forced air heat for those cold nights. The cottage has a central air conditioning and also fans for each room. There is a washer and dryer available for you to use in the cottage. You are welcome to bring a jet ski, kayak, canoe, small boat (16ft or less). We live in a house on the same property as the cottage. The front yard and shorefront are common spaces and shared with our family. Onsite parking is available for one vehicle. No smoking is allowed inside the cottage. People of all backgrounds are welcome to book with us. State rooming tax of 5.5% and a 8% Door County Room tax will be added automatically by AirBnB at the time of booking.

The space
Open concept space that includes a dining area and family room. Newly installed patio doors open up to a great space for use both daytime and nighttime, no matter what the weather. A full and complete remodel of the main bathroom boast 2 sinks and a walk-in tile shower. The shore is a mix of some sand and large slab bedrock stone. There is a dock with access stairs to a mostly sand area. We recommend water shoes because of possibility of zebra mussel shells on the water bottom.

Door County is one of our family's favorite spots--it never disappoints. Whether you like hiking, swimming or theatre & shopping--there is something for everyone in the area. Nestled directly on Lake Michigan our spot is close to Cave Point County Park & Whitefish Dunes State Park, which has a beach wheelchair to use on their trails when you want a bit of dune trail adventure.

We designed our cottage with families, like ours, in mind. Our youngest, often in a wheelchair, needs some accommodations & so we designed it with a wheelchair/walker friendly bathroom, shower & bedroom. All doorways, halls and entrances are zero entry for ease of moving around the downstairs. And the main features (fireplaces, tv, dining) are on the first floor thoughtfully designed for togetherness. Gather around the outdoor chiminea for s'mores in the evening & listen to the waves as you watch the stars come out, all accessible with a wide sidewalk for wheelchair/walker users to join in the gathering.

We are proud and thankful to have the best professional cleaning service prepare our cottage in between stays as that is an important piece of hosting to us.

The upstairs has a fun catwalk leading to an upper deck facing Lake Michigan and the upstairs also has 2 bedrooms- one with a desk for those who may need a fresh work space in a beautiful spot.
Our cottage can be enjoyed in any season with fireplaces inside and on the cozy porch. Bring books & cross country skis in the winter & warm up by one of the two fireplaces or enjoy family time exploring one of the nearby parks or swimming in the Great Lake Michigan in the summer.

Our daughter uses a wheelchair and walker so we've created a space for others, like our family, who want to be together in the beauty of Door County but, need accommodations. Zero entry doorways inside and out. Hallways and doorways are all ADA measurements. Grab bars by toilet and inside shower. Shower bench and hand held shower head option. Wide sidewalk to entrances and down to the lakefront.

Beach/water entry is bedrock and so if you are planning to enjoy the water please bring treaded water shoes.
And although the sidewalk to the shoreline is accessible, the bedrock water entry is NOT accessible to those with mobility, strength or balance issues.

The location is perfect. Memorial Drive is quiet and has a sidewalk for running or walking purposes. It is also only blocks from downtown for shopping and restaurants.

We hope you love our newly renovated home on Logan Creek as much as we do! We took a lot of time to renovate the small cabin, wall to wall. The living room has abundant natural light with a picturesque window and large sliding glass doors over looking our porch and Logan Creek. All of these renovations were to increase the view of the natural beauty of the Logan Creek State Natural Area.

We have two bedrooms + loft so it is perfect for your small family or just a cozy spot for two!

Looking for a great dinner? The house is located a short walk from our restaurant - Mr. G's Logan Creek Grille.

The house is located on 27 acres of forest - plenty of space to let the kids adventure and play! Our property is surrounded then by the Logan Creek State Natural Area, so no need to worry about neighbors.

Logan Creek is great for kayaking and canoeing, it is designated as an outstanding water resource by the DNR, and it feeds into a beautiful inland lake (Clark Lake). We have discounts on kayak and paddle board rentals so just ask!

The space
My father bought this little fishing cottage in 1986 and rented it to blue collar working musicians so he could dock his boat here. The property has lots of local lore. I have built/rebuilt it with friends over the years with what I like to call "a hodgepodge collection of my emerging (and emergency) carpentry skills" I bought it from my sister in 2008 after my dad passed, and again from my ex-wife in 2011. My 12 year old son Jaxzen and I call this home most of the year, but like to travel when we have guests. We hope that you will enjoy the cottage as much as we do.
Guests of ALL AGES are ENCOURAGED to play the instruments in the music room. We love to hear it! In fact, feel free to use anything you find in and around the cottage: from instruments, tools, appliances, utensils, books, toys and games, to the fire pit, and outdoor grills, or even the row boat or kayaks(at your own risk (during the day (and use life vests!))). Play games, read books, listen to recordings, watch movies...
We are not your typical waterfront rental. I work as a local artist/musician, bartender/server, and housekeeping/maintenance for the property . We are hoping this new venture takes some of the burden off our monthly mortgage, utility, and maintenance expenses as well as giving us an opportunity to upgrade appliances, furnishings, and the roof. Guests have exclusive access to the top sundeck, central air/heat, WiFi, music studio/living room with (2) hide-a-beds (Queen &Full), kitchen/dining room, bathroom shower/tub, washer/dryer, and three (3) (King, Queen, & Full) bedrooms. We share the shoreline, firepit, dock, and the rest of the outdoor areas with guests.

Other things to note
The original cottage was among the first houses built in Sturgeon Bay (the basement walls are made of 3 foot thick fieldstone). The breathtaking view of Sturgeon Bay still qualifies this premier location as one of the top in all of Door County. Generations of additions and renovations and innovations have resulted in the current cobbled together hodgepodge of a cottage that I just flippantly named AirMikeyB June of 2018 (may the inspiration never end). We share our personal collections and inspirations with guests here and trust everyone not to take anything but memories. So far, it has been working out really well. My son and I live in Door County year round. Feel free to ask me for anything you may want or need during your stay. I have collections of tools and other odds and ends that could quickly be at your disposal as easy as a text away. If I don't have it, Sturgeon Bay is a small community and I can be pretty resourceful when called upon. I have lived in Door County my whole life and enjoy making suggestions and recommendations. There is no dishwasher or garbage disposal, we wash everything by hand here. Guests are not required to wash any dishes (we really don't mind doing it), but if you do, please use the drain stoppers provided so that the sinks don't clog up. Wisconsin State law also requires us to notify guests that although we wash our dishes with Dawn dish soap, we do not always rinse with a sanitizer, so you may choose to pre-wash dishes or cookware you wish to use. The dock and it and any watercraft that may be available, can only be used at your own risk. Also, the Central Air seems to bottom out at 75 degrees in the cottage in the summer.

Door County waterfront with private sand beach. This spacious cottage is located on the sandy shores of Riley's Bay, only 40 minutes from Lambeau Field and 15 minutes south of Sturgeon Bay. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway with all the amenities of home, look no further! Make memories that will last a lifetime with private beach fires on the peaceful shores of Riley's bay. Don't forget your boat and fishing poles for some of the best perch and bass fishing Door County has to offer.

The space
Our house is located on Green Bay waters with 100 feet of sand beach. The yard area and beach are separated by a low stone wall. We have a fire pit on the beach to enjoy the warm evening watching the sun sunk into the water. The living room and dining area have large windows to give you a complete view of the bay and the beautiful sunsets . The living room features a 55” SmartTV and a gas fireplace. On the main floor, there is a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. The bathroom is also outfitted with grab bars in the shower and next to the toilet. The house has 4 bedrooms and each is furnished with a queen bed. The two bedrooms on the second floor each have a dresser and large closets. The two bedrooms on the main floor have 2 closets separated by a built in dresser. The kitchen has a large island and plenty of counter space. It is well stocked for meal preparation. The front door of the house opens into a sunroom. The large screened windows slide open and allow the cooling breeze from the bay to flow in as you relax on the rattan furniture. Only available in May through October, is the “bonus room” which is located to the right of the sunroom. This space has a futon, Queen size Murphy bed, kitchenette with refrigerator, and a full bathroom.
There is a sheltered deck next to the main entrance and a full deck along the water side of the house. This deck also has an outdoor shower to rinse the sand off your feet after enjoying swimming in the bay and playing on the beach. Our blacktop driveway has room to comfortably park up to 4 vehicles.

Guest access
From December 1 through April 15, the bonus room is not available. This means the second bathroom and bedroom # 5 are not available during the off season.

The Riley’s Bay Beach House is registered with the Door County Tourism Zone. Permit number: 27-56-2387-00

Relax and enjoy your stay at Eagles Nest, a newly built 3 bed/2 bath Door County cabin. Located on a private wooded lot and a short walk to Jacksonport destinations. Including access to the public beach, parks, kayak rentals, coffee shop, restaurants, disc golf, Tuesday Farmers Market and a small grocery store. This cabin is in a centralized location giving you the ability to drive to many Door County communities within 10-15 minutes.

You will have access to the entire home. Check-in is easy with the keypad on the front door. You will receive your private code approximately 24 hours before check-in.

Looking for a great get away? Love the water? Sunset Lagoon is perfect! Use the paddle boat or kayaks (included), bring your boat to get out and enjoy the water. Or relax and fish right off the deck!

On site private boat launch and docking in a sheltered lagoon connected to Riley’s Bay.

When you get back from the beach or fishing, light a fire, roast Smore's or sit on the deck and relax. Put some burgers on the grill and grab a cold one. Enjoy the good life at Sunset Lagoon!

The space
Sunset Lagoon offers a serene atmosphere with modern cottage decor. Attention to detail makes it a place you'll never want to leave. As you pull up you will see the large driveway offering plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers. The enormous waterfront deck with patio furniture (available May through October) and a large propane grill (available year round), has enough space for everyone to gather for fishing, soaking up the sun, grilling, playing in the water or relaxing while you enjoy a cold one.

As you go through the patio door facing the water you'll enter the bar with mini fridge, which is closed off to the rest of the cottage by another patio door. The main area of Sunset Lagoon is an open concept living room, dining room and fully stocked kitchen. A bunk room with 4 twin beds is off the living room, with 2 more bedrooms and a bathroom off the kitchen.

The kitchen offers a stove / oven, microwave, pizza oven, crock pot, electric griddle, pots and pans, all the utensils you need and all linens. There is a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink in case of emergency. Sunset Lagoon has air conditioning and WiFi is available for guests.

Bathroom supplies are: hand and body towels, soap, and toilet paper. There’s also a first aid kit under the sink.

Bedrooms have clean sheets, blankets, pillows and a comforter.

The bar area has a mini fridge, recycling and waste bins and a blue tooth sound bar with subwoofer. There is also a cooler for guest use and blankets and towels for outdoor use located in the bar area. All the cushions for the patio furniture are also stored in the bar.

The deck offers over 1000 square feet of space. Complete with patio furnature. A new floating dock and tie offs with bumpers for tying up the boat. There is a patio table, and 4 chairs so there’s plenty of room for everyone! There is also a picnic table on the deck. There are folding chairs in the deck box under the bar window for use by the fire pit. A portable folding plastic table is stored in the outside shed that is connected to the house.

The on site boat launch is free and can accommodate boats up to about 21'. Sunset Lagoon is located in a sheltered area of Rileys Bay which means no waves..... EVER. The Lagoon is "no wake" and so sheltered that no matter the wind there are never waves. Launch your boat here and tie it up to the deck for your stay without the worry of it getting damaged or dock rash!

Due to the unpredictable Wisconsin weather, the patio furniture, and kayaks are available for use from May through October.

Important note: although we strive to have snow removed from the driveway as soon as possible, there are times because of the location that it may not happen for a few days after a storm, We recommend guests who stay in winter have a 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle.

Other things to note
There is not a washer and dryer at Sunset Lagoon. There is a gas grill with propane supplied. There’s also a fire pit which can be used year round. RV's and pets are not allowed.

Upon booking you will receive a “hold harmless” agreement that needs to be signed in order to stay. Failure to sign will result in you having to cancel your booking.
