New in 2023 - access to the Lincoln river by way of a woodchip defined path through the woods! It is approximately 200 steps to a small footbridge over a spring fed creek, then an additional 200 steps to a boardwalk with a floating dock on the Lincoln river. There are 4 kayaks on a stand by the river access. By making land management and accessibility to the natural beauty of the property a priority, our guests are now able to enjoy nature in a unique way. The land provides a serene setting for kayaking, bird watching and often catching a glimpse of a white-tailed deer!

Even extras for babies/toddlers that we didn't need but nice for future guests to know about. It really seemed like the owners thought ahead to make things more convenient & take advice from guests well as i noticed some things that were mentioned in past reviews are now provided. We would highly recommend staying here. The house was perfect for us & we very much enjoyed the Ludington area as well. We truly had a fantastic vacation."

Directly located on the quiet Middle Bayou of Hamlin Lake with direct access to the main body of Hamlin Lake. Several boat ramps within 1 mile. Private dock in your front yard. Bridge water depth is about 2.5 feet, and clearance is about 6-7 feet. If you have a tall antenna or high top, they may need to be removed to clear under the bridge.

Sleeps 6 (Max 5 adults): Queen bed in one bedroom, twin xl over queen bunk in 2nd bedroom. The setup will work much better for couples sharing the cottage, yet still provide a great setup for families. Total sleeping capacity will be 6 which includes the pull-out sleeper(single bed). Fully furnished with bed linens, towels, shampoo, soaps, TP, and even firewood. Just bring your personal items, maybe some charcoal for the grill, and relax.

Sweetwater Cottage is owned and operated by two area artists. The cottage has been completely renovated with both comfort and aesthetics in mind.
The cottage features all necessary amenities to make guests feel right at home and able to have a full vacation experience.
Boat rental and boat launch are just down the hill from the cottage which has views of both Hamlin Lake and the South Bayou.
The cottage can accomodate up to 5 guests. It has two bedrooms and one bath. The first bedroom has a queen and the second has a bunk bed (Twin over Full).
There is plenty of communal space both indoors and out. Feel free to gather at the farm table for a game of cards or around the fire pit outback. Or For a more quiet moment grab a book and sit on the covered deck or in front of the large picture window in the living room.
This is a family friendly cottage. As a young family themselves the owners see the value in travelling a little lighter. We have provided some toys, books and common necessities to make your stay a little easier. Including highchair and portable crib. Although we are family friendly we are not considered "child proof." (Parent is responsible for their child's well being and safety)
This is a pet friendly home. We allow one pet per reservation. Our pet fee will need to be paid at the time of booking. We ask that guest if bringing a pet follow our pet rules. Pets are not allowed on any furniture, must be leashes when in the yard, and not left in the home unattended. If any of these rules are ignored guest will lose their damage deposit.

Our cottage is a great fit for a small family vacation! ( 5 max adults & 8 overnight guests )

Our Cottage is located in the Floradale Association. Literally steps away from the heated pool. So convenient for all, but especially if you have kids in your party. It’sYou also have access to the Club House, Ping Pong, Shuffleboard, Tether ball, Horse Shoes, Tennis and Basketball courts as well as 400ft of private association beachfront with swimming dock.

Our cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a Queen bed, and 1 with 2 sets of bunk beds. Twin sleeper sofa, and sofa in Living Room space. There is 1 bath with shower. There is also a large well equipped kitchen and dinning room with large table that seats 8. The cottage also has a deck with dinning space. There is lawn furniture, an outdoor grill, and private fire pit. Plenty of parking! Large lot.

We have just finished renovating this cottage and it looks amazing! All painted light and bright with fun beachy décor. Air and heat! This cottage will not disappoint. Feel free to inquire about the renovation. We can also show you our other cottage in the same association if you are interested in a larger cottage or are traveling with a larger group.

We do rent by the week, Friday to Friday from mid June to Labor Day. Before and after those dates, we do rent for a 2-3 day minimum.

Just a few miles away is the state park dunes where you can ride through the sand or walk. Also, you can take a dune ride from Mac Woods or rent a buggy to tear up the dunes yourself. There is also a 22 mile paved bike /hiking trail along with mini-golf, bumper cars, go-carts, and many specialty shops to browse through. So book your vacation today for summer and fall 2023! It has a cabin-y feel, but is almost completely updated. Amenities are complete with full kitchen supplies, plenty of linens and beach gear galore. And that's just the inside! The screened-in porch overlooks Lake Michigan and is the go-to spot for morning coffee, naps during a thunderstorm or drinks at sunset. And the beach!! A short jaunt down several flights of steps take you to a virtually deserted beach. We did see some people, but they were strolling past or camped out well out of earshot of our section. Adirondack chairs and kayaks are stored at the beach as well. To say this was relaxing would be a n understatement. We already reserved our week for summer '24:)"

Small Charming Cottage set in a beautiful wooded setting. The big slider off the living room gives views of woods and nature. People who have stayed here have seen deer, raccoons, fox, woodpeckers, and listen to the sounds of whippoorwills in the evening. There is a small patio out back, with outdoor seating and grill, with a fire pit near by. It is Private and romantic yet still close to Silver Lake, Stoney Lake and Lake Michigan. Equipped with full kitchen, bath, and laundry.
