Driftwood Cottage is a short walk to the white sandy public beach of the Charles Mears State Park. This Cottage has a rear view and walkway to Channel Lane Park and Pentwater's beautiful North Pier.

This well maintained bungalow offers a 10 x 30 foot covered front porch overlooking the beach walk and State Park. The Channel (back) side of the cottage offers a large 16 x 20 deck for sunning, grilling or gathering to enjoy the incredible view.

This beach rental has ample windows for one to feel Lake Michigan breezes on warm summer evenings or shelter from the evening cool. The cozy interior offers a main floor master bedroom and main floor bathroom with shower. Additional loft sleeping for 4 overlooking the living area includes two full and two twin beds.

Driftwood Cottage is a beach dwellers paradise and also just a short walk to Pentwater Village for restaurants, ice cream and shopping. It has been under the same family's care for 50 years.

Cedar Point Cottage. Enjoy Michigan at it's best. Beautiful seclusion year around, enjoy nature and gorgeous Lake Michigan. Convenient, yet secluded, this three-bed room, two bath salt box cottage sits at the tip of Cedar Point. Right on Ridge Road, only a small wood lot separates you from the park staircase leading you down to 800 feet of private association Lake Michigan beach and to fabulous Lake Michigan sunsets. Built in 2003, the cottage has a stone fire place, and a large deck across the back that overlooks the wood lot and park, both of which buffer you from the neighbors. A bedroom that can sleep up to four is downstairs, as is one of the two bathrooms. Upstairs, an open loft sleeps two, and the upstairs bath, which separates the loft from the master bedroom, is accessible from both. A washer, dryer, ping pong, and foosball table greets you in the basement. Flat-screen TV's in the Livingroom and basement, along with wireless internet are also popular features!

The Pentwater dunes along Lake Michigan offer the most beautiful, pure hard-packed sandy beaches in the United States. White, silky sand welcomes you to 185 feet of private frontage with this cottage. Nightly, you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore. Start each morning with a stroll along private Lake Michigan frontage for 1.5 miles to the Pentwater Channel where you will see watercraft heading out for a morning sail or first catch of the day.

If you enjoy biking, you can enjoy a quick, easy 3.5 mile bike ride into town for a good cup of coffee and a scone at the local bakery. Or, for a longer tour, start at the Hart Montague Trail Head in Hart, MI (8-10 miles from the cottage by car), and bike 52 miles round trip, through agricultural fields (mainly fruit trees and asparagus) and past our local Country Dairy where you can stop for lunch. Country Dairy offers grass-fed beef hamburgers, sandwiches, and unlimited cups of fresh-made white or chocolate milk! Plus, homemade ice cream for dessert. The Hart-Montague bike trail is the first rails-to-trails conversion in the state of Michigan. It's flat and often tree-covered.

Regarding our cottage, there is nothing between our cottage and Lake Michigan except 160 stairs, through the woods and down to the beach. Completely private and secluded. You will not be able to see or hear neighbors. Our view is unlike other cottages (which are located farther down the dune, and thus much closer to the water), as we have a 180 degree view.

We offer 2 sea kayaks, a paddleboard and a very long canoe! They are stored at the beach. You can launch the kayaks either on Lake Michigan, paddle down to the channel, take out at the public dock in Pentwater to enjoy the city or visit the farmers' market at the village green. Another option is to take the canoe to the public launch at Pentwater Lake for a nice, leisurely paddle around Pentwater Lake. Lastly, you can transport the kayaks to either the Pentwater River launch or the Pere Marquette RIver Launch (you'll need to sign up for a permit for the day).

There is no phone or internet at the cottage. However, your mobile should easily get service. Both AT&T as well as Verizon cell service works. This is a place where you escape from technology to enjoy nature. However, the Pentwater Library (in town, about 3 miles away) has computers for public use, as well as wireless internet that can be accessed even when the library is closed.

Having enjoyed so many of our weekends at Lake Michigan, we spent 5 years trying to find the right place -- secluded, with acreage of wooded land. We wanted a place perched high on a dune to offer pristine views of Lake Michigan, and plenty of private frontage.

Please be aware that while there is nothing but sand dune (covered with trees) between our cottage and Lake Michigan, there are wooden steps (with a railing) that lead down from the cottage to the beach -- there are roughly 160 steps, with small seating areas along the way.

The star of the show is the expansive view of Bass Lake from all the main living spaces. Summertime offers plenty of water-based fun: on-site kayak and paddle boat, or bring your own boat to dock at the cottage, plus swimming, and fishing in the sandy-bottom 524-acre all sports Bass Lake. The water depth off the dock and at the lake’s edge is approximately 3-4 feet. Enjoy the sugar-white sand beaches of Lake Michigan at the nearby Mears State Park, complete with snack stand, playground, and bathrooms. After a day on and near the water, stroll along picturesque downtown Pentwater's Main Street for shopping and ice cream. Enjoy your meals downtown or back home either grilled and seated around the large picnic table or prepared in the totally updated kitchen with all the modern conveniences (including air fryer, crockpot, Keurig coffee maker, and dishwasher). Evenings gathered on the deck's Adirondack chairs or around the gas fire pit as you watch the sunset over the lake are where memories are made.

The cottage has three large bedrooms and sleeps 8. The main bedroom is tucked away on the main floor with a king size bed and luxurious hybrid foam mattress — relaxing and supportive for all sleep types. A full bathroom is off the main floor bedroom. Upstairs features two large bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a queen bed with luxurious Ghost bed mattress topper, as well as a twin bed with trundle. The other upstairs bedroom has a bunk bed and a full size bed. This bed configuration offers a range of options for just about any combination of family and friends. And the central AC/heat and a washer and dryer allow for truly year-round enjoyment.

Welcome to our Pentwater Lake Cottage! You will be renting the whole cottage. Upper unit has two bedrooms, full bath, kitchen, and your very own 600-square foot deck. Lower unit has one large bedroom, full bath with washer and dryer, kitchen and large lower deck over Pentwater Lake.

We love Pentwater for its unique shops, tasty eateries, and miles of Lake Michigan beaches. Our cottage is just a short bike ride to town, but it's just far enough away where you could peacefully enjoy your cup of coffee on your own private decks overlooking gorgeous Pentwater Lake.

After years of enjoying summer days in Pentwater, we decided to invest in a Vacation Haven Cottage in this quaint beach town. Our cottage, both top and lower units have their own private decks, so you could relax and enjoy the magnificent view of Pentwater Lake while sitting back and breathing in the fresh lake air.

It doesn't matter if you want to hit the town for some excellent food, unique shops, walk the beach or just simply relax on the massive deck, we are sure you will enjoy your stay and fall in love with this little piece of paradise as we did.

We provide free WIFI, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, bath towels and bed linens.

Outdoor chairs are on the deck along with a small table.

We do also have 2 kayaks, come with rental.

Spend your days at the beautiful sugar sand lake Michigan beach, or enjoy all the association amenities (pool, tennis & pickle ball court, basketball court, playground equipment). Beach access is about a 12 minute walk or 2 minute car ride. This recently updated cottage sits in a serene wooded wooded area located 2 miles North of Downtown Pentwater in Desirable Duna Vista associtaion. Location is perfect for access to Pentwater or Ludington which is about 15 miles to the North.

The upstairs has two bedrooms, one of which has 2 twin beds and the other a queen size bed. The MBR is on the main floor and has a queen size bed.

There are endless outdoor activities nearby: hiking, biking, beach, kayaking or paddle boarding rentals at Ludington State park, Mears state park (climb Mt. Baldy) or just hang at our large Association beach.

* Cottage does not have central air conditioning, but MBR has window A/C, and upstairs room with queen bed has a portable A/C unit. House is shaded by several trees and temperature has not been an issue unless it gets into the 90's.

* Due to high mineral content in the water (well water) we provide bottled water for cooking/drinking/etc.

The cottage is a smoke free environment. Pets are allowed with permission from the owner. Capacity limit is six people to limit wear on this private home. The cottage is owner occupied approx. 1/2 of the summer.
We're in a great location - on a private stretch of beach only 1 mile north of the popular town of Pentwater. As you can see from the pictures, the cottage is high on a dune. There are sliding glass door windows on two sides looking West out onto the deck and to the lake for a very tree-top feel and great views. This cottage is not for you if you cannot manage stairs. Like all cottages on the dunes, there are a lot of stairs to get to the beach. Inside, there is a great room and a large dining room table for family meals/ games/ cards, etc. The cottage is 2 levels- There are 2 bedrooms and full bath on the main floor, plus 2 bedrooms and full bath upstairs which makes it ideal for a single family, or for 2 couples.
Swimming in clear water, sandy bottom and the endless walking beach can't be surpassed. It is about a mile walk to town.

Saturday check out is before 11:00am and check in is after 4:00pm.
The Pentwater area has lots to do in addition to the beach: golf, tennis, many shops, restaurants, mini golf, go-carts, ice cream, movies, and is just north of Silver lake with its amazing sand dunes and dune rides!

This is a custom built vacation home with central air-conditioning, built in music speakers throughout the house, HD TV, and WiFi. Hilltop Cottage is 3 blocks from downtown Pentwater. This home is perfect for larger gatherings with plenty of room upstairs and on the lower level. Park your car and use the bikes already at the house to get around town or to the beach. Built in 2006, the house is complete with everything you will need with the exception of your linens (sheets and towels not provided). A very large wrap around covered porch is complete includes a large section of the porch is screened in. The home has 2400 sq ft and includes, 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, 700sqft porch, outdoor gas grill, picnic table, fire pit, and plenty of games. Hilltop is in a secluded and quiet neighborhood and the property is wooded on all fours sides of the home giving you that 'up north' feel.

Towels, sheets, blankets, pillows and beach towels are provided. No pets, no smoking. A damage deposit may be collected if determined by property manager. Accommodations can occasionally be made for less than seven days in the month of September. Check in is after 4:00 and check out is promptly before 10:a.m. We only rent from Saturday to Saturday.

High quality workmanship, furniture and fixtures throughout. All linens, towels, pillows, blankets and mattress pads are provided. You may utilize the 8,000 pound boat lift and the wave runner dock.

There is a maximum of 10 people and parking for 5 vehicles. No pets! No fireworks!

Drive around the Lake to the Lake Village of Pentwater for good food, shopping and the beautiful clean sandy beach of Charles Mears State Park. A short 8 mile drive South is the Silver Lake Dunes where you can rent watercraft, ATV's and many other motorized toys. Take a trip on the Mac Woods Dune ride for a real thrill. There are many other activities in Silver Lake such as go carts, zip line, bumper cars, etc.

Rent is by the week, Saturday to Saturday. Check-in is after 4:00 p.m. and check out is promptly before 10:00 a.m. To hold your reservation 1/2 of the total weekly rent l fee will be collected and a signed contract is required. 30 days before check-in the remaining 1/2 will be collected. This home is Platinum LEED certified.

This is a smaller yet, accommodating cottage for an affordable vacation. This cottage has all of the modern conveniences with the charm of Pentwater in the 40’s. Combo kitchen and dining area. The main floor has a full bath (shower only). 4 smaller bedrooms. 3 bedrooms are on the main floor; 2 bedrooms have a queen bed, and the third has a bunk bed. The upstairs dormer style room has a full bed and 2 twin beds, lower ceiling, but works well for children.

About this space:

Our quaint cottage located in North Beach Association is the perfect place to spend a quiet vacation or short getaway. Well suited for four, but able to accommodate up to 6. Lake Michigan is an average five-minute walk from the deck.

The space
Nestled atop a forested dune surrounded by a dense pine and oak forest, this "treehouse" cottage was renovated with the most sustainable and local practices available: Beautiful stranded bamboo floors throughout, 12" wide pine board walls and ceilings, an amazing R25 shell rating and VOC-free paint, to name a few. The structure provides a cool temperature with just the use of ceiling fans on most nights.

PLEAE NOTE: the kitchen is separated downstairs from the bedroom and bathroom quarters, and is accessible via a partially-covered stairway outside. Features include a large deck overlooking the woods that ensures lazy days relaxing and long nights listening to the sounds of the forest over drinks and conversation. Or if the beach is your pleasure, you're a 5-minute walk away with access to the association's private beach on Lake Michigan. Look south and you'll see Charles Mears State Park (a 10-minute walk if you choose) or find a quiet spot on a stretch of less inhabited beachfront to the north.

Guest access:
Guests will have access to private association beach on the big lake, wifi via cable modem, grill, television, and landline phone. A fireplace is available for the chilly months, as well as a full electric heating system. Refrigerator, stove, and microwave available in the kitchen, which is on a separated, first-floor level with outdoor, covered stairway to sleeping and living area.

Please keep in mind that the kitchen is on the first floor off the deck and is separate from the living/sleeping quarters.

The cabin is built into a dune, and critters (especially mice) are part of that natural habitat. We do what we can to keep them to a minimum, but they are a natural occurrence.

We’ve replaced the oven with a Breville microwave, convention oven, and air fryer all in one and it’s been a popular replacement for guests. There is currently a two top hot plate as well. We believe this covers most needs with much less space impact to the small kitchen.

We are located half way between Pentwater and Ludington, making easy outings of either to enjoy shopping, wine tasting or eating out. It is also just 2 miles from Lake Michigan and a spectacular public access beach.

The cottage is ideally situated on a beautiful 2-acre wooded lot with a large yard and deck to enjoy spending time with family or friends. We have a grill, fire pit, corn hole, cairn builder and a playset.

Enjoy the private wooded location with easy access to Bass Lake only two blocks to the east with two boat launches nearby on the western side of Bass Lake and community dock located a few minutes’ walk from Calla. Lake Michigan is less than one mile from a public beach on Montgomery St. with easy access to the famous Bass Lake outlet. Five bedrooms – sleeps up to 10 adults, consists of 5 queen size beds, and one crib. Furnished with Wi-Fi, TV, 10 ceiling fans (including one in every bedroom, ample air conditioning (3 window units), large furnished screened-in porch, charcoal Weber grill, beach chairs, outside fire pit, and clothes washer/dryer. The full kitchen is complete with range, refrigerator, toaster, microwave over, and Keurig coffee maker. Bass Lake is noted for its great boating, sailing, swimming and fishing. Enjoy all the water sports on this inland lake. You are just a few miles north of the quaint village of Pentwater, where you can enjoy the many unique shops and have a great meal at the local restaurants.
