Welcome to Pentwater! Our River House is located just 1 mile to downtown Pentwater. 1.25 miles to Lake Michigan beaches. The recently remodeled two level house features 2 bedrooms with 1- full bath and 1 1/2 bath. This entire house rental is the only direct Pentwater River frontage rental in the area. Updated in 2022 the house will sleep up to 5 guests. You will enjoy a large front/rear yard with a private quite 250 square foot elevated deck overlooking several hundred acres of unobstructed woods. The 1.5 acre wooded property features 300 feet of direct river shoreline/access. We have a large campfire area on the river with an outdoor gas grill. The house has all the kitchen amenities you will need including AC-Wi-Fi , two separate TV's (upper and lower level). River House is located in a wooded low traffic setting perfect for walks and biking. The main sleeping area sleeps 2 on the double bed and two in the bunk beds, with queen sofa sleeper, accommodating 2 more. The living room features a sofa, chairs, and flat screen smart tv. The cabin has an updated bath and a fully equipped kitchen. The rental also provides access to paddle boats, kayaks, and paddle boards, as available. The cabin sits on a couple of wooded acres on the lake, providing waterfront, woods, and access to beaches and the pier.

The main sleeping area sleeps 2 on the double bed, the sofa sleeper has a queen pull out that sleeps 2, and the front porch is another "bedroom," with bunk beds and a pull out trundle, sleeping 3 more. The living room has all new furniture, including a sleeper sofa, chairs, and flat screen smart tv, just in case of rain. The cabin has a bath that was just updated with a new stool and vanity, and has a fully equipped kitchen with apartment size appliances. The rental also provides access to paddle boats, kayaks, and paddle boards, as available. The cabin sits on a couple of wooded acres on the lake, providing waterfront, woods, and access to beaches and the pier.

We are a small, family run operation, and have some limitations due to the fact that we don't have "staff." We're set up for weekly rentals, with check-in and check-out on Fridays. This allows us to stay organized and keep the cabins up to our standard of clean, which we think you'll be very happy with. It also allows us to spend time working on other projects and spending time with our family.

Mears State Park is a short walk from the cottage and offers sandy white beaches adjacent to a harbor pier. The Concord Cottage accommodations include a master bedroom with a queen bed, family room with dining/game table, bathroom with tub shower, kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, oven & microwave. There is a bonus room with two sets of bunk beds with 4 twin beds and a sleeper sofa. There are 2 Smart TVs with wifi connection in both the main living room and the bunk room. I will say this is a no frills house- basic cooking supplies & linens not included (as the listing states). But we loved having beach chairs and umbrella. One thing to note: We stayed with older children ages 8-15 and the bunks were great but this is not a place for younger kids. Bunk rails on the top were missing on 1 bunk and the other was too low to stop a child from rolling off. Also stairs without a gate and unsecured dresser in the main bedroom. I also think a VERY easy safety upgrade would be smoke detectors in every bedroom/room."

Or you can put the kayaks into the water in front of the house, however, there is a large step-down.

LOCATION
The Bass Lake house is three miles from the Village of Pentwater with shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries, a state park beach, and more. The village has frequent activities throughout the summer and several festivals year-round. Check out our Pentwater Travel Guide for more information.

About 15 minutes north, you’ll find Ludington, Michigan. The city has beaches, a state park, and a thriving downtown area with shops, bars, and restaurants. It also has grocery stores including Meijer, Aldi, Walmart, Home Depot, auto repair shops, and more.

In addition, ten miles to the south of Pentwater, you’ll find the famous Silver Lake Sand Dunes.

Airports: If you’re flying in, the Manistee County Blacker Airport (MBL) is about 35 miles away, the Muskegon County Airport (MKG) is 62 miles away, and the Grand Rapids Airport (GRR) is 106 miles away. Each airport offers rental car services.
