This home offers all of the comforts of your home. We provide bath towels and linens fresh each week and the entire house is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival. We do ask that you bring your own beach towels and beach chairs.

In 2011, the cottage had a new HVAC installed, providing the house with central air conditioning and a new heater system.

Floor Plan Overview:
This two story home offers a comfortable home base for the ultimate family beach vacation. This first floor consists of one large family room with convertible sleeping, one full bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry facilities and a sun porch.

The second floor has two bedrooms and one bathroom.

Sleeping Arrangements:
Each bedroom is comfortably furnished and has all new bedding. The upstairs master bedroom has a queen size bed and enough room for a crib if desired. The second upstairs bedroom has two full size beds and a view of the lake. The downstairs family room has a sleeper sofa for two. This room has a door and can be closed off for privacy.

The Bathrooms:
Both bathrooms have full showers and tubs. Each bathroom is stocked with clean towels, bathroom tissue, hand soap and shower gel.

The Kitchen and Dining Area:
The kitchen includes an electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. We also provide a coffee maker, blender, and toaster. The kitchen is stocked with everyday china, silverware, cookware, and utensils. Paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, garbage bags and hand soap are all replenished weekly.

The dining room has a rectangular table that seats up to 8 people.

The Living Room:
The living room has a new 48' LCD television with a DVD player and HD cable. There is a small sun room off of the living room. There is a washer and dryer on the main floor.

South Haven becomes a winter wonderland typically beginning over the holiday season. Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating and sledding are some of the nearby activities, particularly during Ice Breaker Fest in February!

In season, generally from Memorial to Labor Day weekends, we prefer weekly rentals, beginning Friday or Saturday, at 15% off of our daily rate for 7 days or more.
Daily rates of (2 day minimum) may be available on request. Please call for availability if the calendar is uncooperative:).
Off season, generally September 15 - May 15, rates are discounted 30-50%.
Check in is after 3:00pm and check out is by 11:00am.
All fees (cleaning, etc.) are included in the weekly rate.

Regarding the property, the house is split up into three properties - two on top & one on the bottom (we think!) :) We were in the tiny efficiency on the second floor. There are tons of windows but no curtains (just blinds) so it’s super bright at night & in the am. We found two beach chairs & an umbrella in the closet. Things are well stocked in the room & we were pretty comfortable. A warning that the shower pressure is strong - almost to the point of pain and the water is set to extremely hot. Probably dangerous for kids, actually. The walk to the beach is only a few minutes and the neighborhood is a joy to explore. Restaurants and shops are a few more minutes away (walking the opposite direction) We recommend walking towards the drawbridge to North Beach. There’s a big park there and a trail, also a Maritime Museum. Along with more neat houses to gawk at. :) We highly recommend Sunset Manor & South Haven! Thanks for a nice stay."

The property is located less than two miles directly south of downtown South Haven and beautiful South Beach. Within one mile South of the property is secluded Deerlick Creek Beach and the Van Buren State Park is another couple miles south of there. So a quick five-minute car ride or 15-20-minute bike ride will get you to all the wonderful activities South Haven has to offer.

This early 1900s farmstead has long been divided up into large residential lots that now make up the neighborhood. This home is a new addition to the main farm house and I designed it to function as a completely private residence to guests. Also located on the property is the original hay barn and a milkhouse I converted in to a 2 bedroom guesthouse (VRBO #876843).

You will have a private patio and entry to this house that opens to the first floor bedroom / bathroom which is furnished with a quality queen size pillow top mattress, four pillows of medium and firm comfort level and bamboo cotton linens. Nine foot ceilings, ceiling fan, night lights and large closet and dresser. Dimmable table and overhead lighting throughout the home. Large windows facing the Japanese magnolia right outside the windows. Black out cellular shades.

The first floor bathroom features heated tile floors and a large 6’ x 4’ walk in shower with rain showerhead. Plenty of plush cotton bath towels, an assortment of body wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotions. Blow dryer. Also, a stack washer and dryer with unscented detergent and dryer sheets for your use if needed.

In the hallway closet you will find extra linens, iron and ironing board, lint brush, umbrellas, beach towels, beach blankets, beach umbrellas, 2 beach chairs, 2 collapsable portable chairs, a pop up beach sun shelter tent, suntan lotion, bug spray, beach bag, bike helmets, hard and soft sided cooler, first aid kit, picnic basket and a couple double pronged bonfire roasting forks.

A dual zone mini split heating and air conditioning unit located on each level for complete comfort.

Up the staircase to the top floor is the very spacious living room and kitchen with 11 large windows and a 360° view looking out into the tree tops and overseeing the property and neighborhood in each direction. This large room features a 16’ cathedral ceiling .

A chenille upholstered queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress and upholstered armchair. Remote controlled ceiling fan. 43” smart Roku TV . A reliable high speed WiFi modem on the first floor with xfi WiFi pod extenders throughout the home. Board and card games and puzzles. A turntable with a fun selection of albums to play. Type out a letter to loved ones on the antique portable typewriter. Current maps and guidebooks featuring all that the area has to offer. I will be emailing a detailed list of recommendations to local eateries, vineyards, brew pubs, recreational options, farmers markets and shopping with website links before you arrive.

The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and an 8’ island with large sink and area for dining with 2 barstools. You can prepare your meals here using the large French Door Oster convention/baking/toaster/broiling oven or microwave. A double burner infrared glass stove top unit. In the fridge you will find a full range of sandwich and bbq condiments, butter, half and half, almond creamer and several ice cube trays in the freezer. I also stock flavored sparking waters for you to enjoy. There is a drip coffee maker and Keurig with of medium and dark roast and decaf coffee. Assorted black and herbal teas, honey and sweeteners. Coffee grinder, toaster, ninja blender, and plenty of cooking and serving pieces. Olive oil, balsamic and wine vinegar and lots of spices are stocked…please help yourself to anything in the pantry. S’mores fixings!

Biodegradable paper plates and flatware, paper towels, plastic wrap, tinfoil and zip lock bags available.

You will also receive a detailed list of all home and recreational amenities a week before you arrive.

Outside on the spacious patio that wraps around to the side of the house will be a medium size propane grill, patio table and chairs, two lounge chairs and a couple Adirondack chairs to enjoy the evening by the fire pit with the provided firewood, kindling and fire starters.

The 5 mile hike and bike trail that links downtown to the State Park is less than a quarter mile from the driveway. There are several adult bikes available for your use.

My job is to ensure you have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience. The house is located 2 miles from Bronson Hospital. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are placed throughout the home. First aid kit and fire extinguishers. I am available 24/7 if you are in need of any assistance.

Located off Phoenix Street about 3 miles away you will find a Meijers grocery, pharmacy, and home goods store and Walmart and Walgreens. Meijer uses the Shipt app for home grocery delivery service which I will be happy to receive and put in-place for you prior to your check in if necessary.

This charming historical home with cozy finishes and amazing location, will be your perfect getaway to Lake Michigan! This getaway has everything you need to enjoy a home away from home. We are located one block from Kids Corner and two blocks from the blue stairs on the South Beach. The beach is only a 3 minute walk away! It is also just 6 blocks from the River Walk, shopping and dining in South Haven's Historic Downtown.

Our cottage has two bedrooms with one bathroom. There is a king size bed in the larger front room off of the living room, and a smaller bedroom off of the dining room that has a bunk bed with double size beds and a twin trundle. Sheets, pillows, blankets, and bath towels are all included. There is a washer and dryer in the basement of the cottage, along with 6 beach towels.

Guests will be responsible for the cleaning fee after their stay.

Casa B is ideally located in South Haven’s Historic Monroe Park neighborhood and just steps away from the beautiful North Beach. Casa B is the first floor apartment of a two flat. Take a walk to visit downtown(1.5 mi) or public beaches(0.5 mi) and return to your quiet home for amazing sunsets in the evening. Bike trails are 2 blocks away which will take you to town, as well as Van Buren State Park, the countryside, a golf disc course, and bountiful fruit fields.
This property is available for 2 people only and there is parking for just 1 car. We ask that you meet friends at public places to maintain the privacy and comfort of this location, while keeping a neighborhood atmosphere for us and our neighbors.

"A place where traveler's stay, friends meet, and adventures begin on Lake Michigan."

Hostel SoHa is two 5,000 square foot buildings on 7 acres of private land in the process of being renovated into the first traveler's hostel in west Michigan. If you are unfamiliar with hostels, we recommend you read about them before booking. This summer we are welcoming backpackers, tent campers, hikers, bike-packers, van and bus lifers, RVers, or just your average young adult in search of a fun and social space to the property for overnight parking, camping, and fun events.

There is NO indoor sleeping accommodation at this time; this is for individuals looking to camp with access to indoor common spaces. You can either book an adventurous stay in one of our outdoor sleeping hammocks BYO sleeping bag and pillow (bug net included, rain tarp coming soon), pitch your own tent, or bring your camping rig of choice with a space in the parking lot. Please book your stay on the appropriate listing for the sleeping arrangements you'd like.

LOCATION

We are located directly off M-43 and only a 5 minute drive to the beach; downtown South Haven; and Walmart, Aldi, and Meijer. We are also a 5 minute drive from the Kal-Haven trailhead and can help hikers and bike-packers arrange a pick up or drop off from there.

AGE RESTRICTION

This fun and central location is best suited for adults ages 18-35, but we welcome anyone over 16 looking for this social experience. This property is not suitable for families or individuals looking for a quiet or private getaway. The indoor bedrooms are not open yet and the land is in the process of being developed but this is still a social setting and individuals staying should come prepared to interact with other guests (or make new friends!) in the shared spaces.

AMENITIES

There are shared indoor bathrooms (showers not open yet) and an indoor common area with tables and seating, a phone charging station, pool and ping pong tables, lockers for valuables (BYO lock), and a fridge. There is a lit outdoor picnic and bonfire social space with yard games. There is WiFi and an onsite store coming soon.

Hostels are a type of shared accommodation most suitable for ages 18-35. Our indoor, pod-bunk beds are not yet open but our outdoor area is open for a stay as you see fit. Hostels are an incredible way for young adults to afford to stay in otherwise expensive destinations while being able to meet and make fun memories with other travelers. If you're new to hostels but are interested in this experience, we recommend you try it out!

A short bike ride takes you to the Kal-Haven trail, or you can rent a golf cart and ride effortlessly down to the main streets of South Haven to experience the unique shopping and dining of downtown. This is the perfect spot to escape the city and experience lakeshore life.

Guest access
Reservations include use of the entire house, back patio with grill & outdoor seating, and attached garage. Guests receive access to the Woodland Harbor Marina, the Harbor Club Resort`s clubhouse, community pool, and fire-pits. Boats (speed boats, pontoon boats, dinghy boats, and kayaks), boat slips, golf carts, beach carts, bicycles, and more are all available to guests (for additional rental fees). The Resort`s private streets are perfect for strolling or biking and the Kal-Haven Trail-head is also nearby for those who enjoy outdoor activities.​​​​​​​

Other things to note
Check in at 4pm EST. If housekeeping staff is able to prepare the home sooner, we will make every effort to contact guests and allow an early check in. Check in takes place at our Welcome Center Office in the Harbor Club South Haven Resort (330 Ash Street, South Haven MI). At least a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Guests have until 30 days prior to check in to pay the remaining balance. Please contact our reservationist for specific details. All towels, linens, paper products, and a starter kit of soaps are included in the cottage rental. Guests receive access to the resort's marina, clubhouse, community pool, and fire pits. Boat, golf cart, beach cart, and bicycle rentals are all available in the community. Harbor Club Pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Welcome to luxury lakelife with this newly built (fall 2024), professionally designed home with relaxation in mind! Preserve Paradise is located in The Harbor Club Resort and Marina in South Haven, 1/4 mile to Lake Michigan beaches and 1 mile to downtown South Haven. The Harbor Club offers a gated year-round pool and hot tub, an additional seasonal pool, on-site boat, golf cart and bicycle rentals, as well as a clubhouse, on-site property management, and a beautiful marina located on the Black River.

The home is very spacious sitting at just over 3,200 square feet of open concept living, including a covered front porch, back patio and a serene sunroom with a full view of nature. The main level of the home features a large open space where the living room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and a relaxing sunroom are located. The main level has a walk out to the patio with space for the family to enjoy cooking on the barbque or just relaxing. While at this cottage you are a short walk to the Marina, where you can rent a boat and tour the river or head out to the lake. A short bike ride takes you to the Kal-Haven trail, or you can rent a golf cart and ride effortlessly down to the main streets of South Haven to experience the unique shopping and dining of downtown. This is the perfect spot to escape the city and experience lakeshore life.

Reservations include use of the entire house, back patio with grill & outdoor seating, and attached garage. Guests receive access to the Woodland Harbor Marina, the Harbor Club Resort`s clubhouse, community pool, and fire-pits. Boats (speed boats, pontoon boats, dinghy boats, and kayaks), boat slips, golf carts, beach carts, bicycles, and more are all available to guests (for additional rental fees). The Resort`s private streets are perfect for strolling or biking and the Kal-Haven Trail-head is also nearby for those who enjoy outdoor activities.​​​​​​​

Check in at 4pm EST. If housekeeping staff is able to prepare the home sooner, we will make every effort to contact guests and allow an early check in. Check in takes place at our Welcome Center Office in the Harbor Club South Haven Resort (330 Ash Street, South Haven MI). At least a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Guests have until 30 days prior to check in to pay the remaining balance. Please contact our reservationist for specific details. All towels, linens, paper products, and a starter kit of soaps are included in the cottage rental. Guests receive access to the resort's marina, clubhouse, community pool, and fire pits. Two queen guest rooms, along with a double twin bunk room are sure to sleep up to eight more guests in luxurious comfort. Find a queen sofa sleeper in the lower level den - perfect for late night gatherings, or an additional sleeping space.

Our South Haven Retreat is situated in a quiet setting just minutes from all the activities that the South Haven area has to offer. Easily accessible from the interstate, (less than 1 mile) it is the perfect location for both convenience and privacy. Our property provides a wonderful retreat setting for friends, couples, solo and business travelers. We have plenty of spaces inside and out, so we welcome families! We also rent the lower level of our home as an option for those needing more beds.

The space
Our South Haven Retreat is a true Airbnb, i.e. owner occupied, not a short-term rental investment. This is our home. We designed it to be filled with light, warmth, and comfortable spaces for our family to enjoy. Now that everyone is grown and gone, we love having the opportunity to share it with friends we haven’t met yet!
Your stay will include a private bedroom with a private bath. The bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan for your comfort and a phone charging station for your convenience. You will have access to the other common areas of the house, including living room, dining room, kitchen, and, if it is not already rented, the theatre room, exercise and game room area., which is located on the lower level.
Weather permitting, you are encouraged to take advantage of the cozy table and rocking chairs on the welcoming front porch, or lounge on the spacious multi-level deck and garden area in the back. The built-in deck swing and the fire pit area are guest favorites!

Guest access
You will have access to come and go throughout your stay with a keyless security access code. You may help yourself to coffee, tea or hot chocolate, which will always be present in the kitchen. There is a microwave available. You are also welcome to store items that require refrigeration, just let us know what you need. And we don’t mind if you would like to use our kitchen for simple food preparation. We have plenty of space to share with you.

During your stay
Normally, we are on site or not far away. We come and go throughout the day, just like you will. We will give you our cell phone numbers so that you will be able to text us with any questions or needs, in case you do not see us. We are completely comfortable sharing the designated areas of our home with you, and we hope you will feel the same way. We always enjoy talking with you, and hearing about your vacation adventures, but we also respect your privacy. Please do not feel you must engage us in lengthy conversation when we see each other. This is your stay, and we want to make it as enjoyable as possible!

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. With a country setting in the heart of the city, you will enjoy all that nature has to offer but be close to the hustle and bustle of downtown South Haven. Stay home and enjoy a fire in the backyard or visit many local beaches within walking distance.

Bridgewater Cottage- A spacious South Haven cottage with seasonal pool access- near beaches, sleeps up to 16 guests!

This property is a vacation rental in the Summer (June, July, & August), available for extended stays outside of that season. Located 1 mile from downtown South Haven, 1/4 mile from Lake Michigan, and an easy commute to Holland, Benton Harbor, or Kalamazoo areas!

Morning Glory - Tiny Floating Cottage #3

This *NEW* 3rd edition of the luxurious Tiny Floating Cottage (TFC) has everything vacationers will need to relax in style on the water in South Haven Michigan. Morning Glory can sleep up to six persons and has a master bedroom with a queen-size bed. There is also a bunk room with a twin-size bed over a Full sized futon. The open concept living room has full size fold-out sleeper sofa. Fully equipped Bathroom with stand up shower. The Living room has a patio door that leads to the lower level deck. 

There is a well-equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, a stove, a microwave and a coffeemaker. The TFC#3 is air-conditioned in the summer and heated during the winter to ensure guests are comfortable. There is a sectional sofa to kick back and relax in the living area, and a coffee table that opens to a full-size kitchen table that provides seating for guests to socialize after a day exploring SOHA. Towels and linens are provided.

Morning Glory has a large roof deck accessible via a ladder staircase that makes for the perfect place to relax and take in the sights. The roof deck is  furnished with furniture, a table and chaise lounges. Guests will be able to enjoy the stunning views afforded in all directions and overlooking the marina basin. There is a large deck off the living room facing the marina basin and there is also a covered patio with furniture and a gas grill located on shore adjacent to the slip.

This unique TFC rental resides on the Black River, perfect for a wonderful weekend getaway or a vacation of exploring the stunning Lake Michigan coast. This TFC is located at Woodland Harbor Marina, part of the Harbor Club Resort and Marina, offering a full resort experience. The marina has a full club house and heated pool for guests’ enjoyment. Boats, golf carts and bicycles are available for rental.
