Dining room has a 4 chair dining table with 2 extra dining chairs for company and is a open floor plan to Kitchen and Living room. Kitchen is open and has plenty of cupboard space. Fully stocked with your cookware, dishes and basic appliances like coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, and toaster. Master bedroom has king size bed outfitted with high end linens , small smart TV, night stands and large closet. In Master bedroom you will find french doors leading to a relaxing outside deck with patio table and chairs. Guest bedroom has a queen size bed with high end linens and large closet. Central Air will keep you comfortable in hot weather. In the Hallway you will find a Stack-able washer and dryer. The bathroom has Kohler pedestal sink and toilet and the original but restored claw foot soaking tub with shower. Our apartment has it's roots in the cream city brick walls and the original claw foot tub. We renovated and added 500 sq ft in 2000 to give it a open and comfortable feel but save it's charm. Grand Haven is a beautiful place to build family vacation memories and we hope staying in one of it's historical Downtown buildings will add to your experience.

The kitchen has new slider that opens to a new extended, one level grey cement patio to sit and have coffee and people watch, grill out with with a 4 burner Weber grill and 6' table with seating. Beautifully landscaped back yard with a cement artsy patio in back with gas fire table, comfortable cushioned seating and bar with stools. Shade sail on both patios, just pick your zone for dining and entertainment, also 2 fountains for soothing ambience. Bird feeder to attract birds and wild life to watch. Two car driveway parking and legal over night street parking. Just installed a beautiful privacy curtain for each bedroom up stairs. BACKYARD TOTALLY FENCED IN FOR PETS AND CHILDREN.

The amenities were numerous, including beach towels, beach chairs, yard games, a gas fire table, grill, etc. All the items were in excellent condition (we have stayed at other homes that advertised items for use that were broken or not well maintained). The outdoor space is relaxing with water features and plenty of seating for outdoor gathering. We absolutely loved our stay!"

Furnished 2nd floor year round vacation cottage rental in downtown Grand Haven. Park your car in the driveway and walk to downtown, Chinook Pier, the Farmers Market, local restaurants, shops and live music. This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home was originally built in 1880. It retains a lot of it's old charm with a Clawfoot tub (with shower), pedestal bathroom sink, whitewashed wood ceiling and plaster walls. It has a full size washer/dryer, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, wifi. This is a great vacation spot in the heart of Grand Haven. I love nice linens and quality bath products and I provide the best to my guests as well. The queen bed is memory foam and the pillows are comfortable so you will be too. The couches are comfortable and there is a smart TV in the living room. Please note: This unit is on the second floor of a duplex. Because the home was built in 1880, the stairs were built on more steep incline than modern steps. It is not a good option for children or people with mobility issues.

We were about a block and a half from what I would consider the center of activity in the little city. We were able to walk to and from the social district, museum, and the musical fountain. Located in idyllic Grand Haven, our top-floor designer apartment is a sanctuary in every sense of the word and is ideal for longer-term stays (one-three months). Everything—from the color palette to the furniture and art selections to the preservation of as many historical elements as possible—was thoughtfully and carefully considered. You’ll adore calling this magazine cover-quality home yours and immersing yourself in the cozy beachside community for a while.

The apartment has been newly renovated with the finest quality finishes. The kitchen is spacious with what feels like miles of textured granite countertops and a butcher block island (with seating for two), making it easy to prepare your meals. The space is well-lit by a modern sputnik chandelier and a large window. A massive sink, loads of cabinet storage, and high-end stainless steel appliances complete the space. The cabinetry has been painted in a calming neutral tone, but we’ve introduced soft colors in the backsplash and island for visual interest. You’ll also find a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee pot, pots/pans, dinnerware and utensils. The only thing you’ll need to bring is groceries (D&W Fresh Market is just a five minute drive away).

For living and working, you have several options in the cozy space. The first is the living room, complete with a large sofa, two plush leather armchairs, and a 55” smart TV. The room is surrounded by unique arched windows (which you’ll find throughout the apartment) which flood the space with natural light. Tall ceilings are adorned with original wood beams.

Just off the back of the apartment is what was formerly a balcony, but it has been insulated and turned into an all-season additional living space. Lined with windows and treetop views, it has been described as a treehouse. There are cozy, comfortable wingback chairs, as well as a dining table for four, so you can enjoy your meals, work, or relax with a favorite book. If you’re looking for outdoor space, there is plenty. Be sure to enjoy some of your evenings by the fire pit on the well-manicured lawn, surrounded by nature. There’s also a grill available for your use.

The office/spare bedroom comes with a queen murphy bed, a desk, a wireless printer, a small library, inspiring tchotchkes and antiques from all over the world, original exposed brick, shiplap walls, and a rocker for reading. It’s the perfect place to work or journal. You can also count on high speed wifi throughout the apartment.

Evenings will be restful in the bedroom, which comes with a brand new king bed (with additional under-bed storage) and mattress, as well as a serene wall color. High-quality bed linens are included with your stay. More exposed original brick serves as a simple but interesting headboard. One entire wall is lined with closet space and there’s also a large dresser, so you have plenty of space to put away your luggage and you won’t feel cramped at all.

Finally, you’ll find that the bathroom is roomy and well-equipped. A large vanity, a stand-up shower, and soft towels await you. There’s also a washer-dryer combo tucked in the corner—there when you need it, but out of the way when you don’t.

When you’re ready to explore, there is a network of trails directly behind the home—one of them leads to Mulligan’s Hollow (five minutes away), an 80-acre park that includes a ski hill, tennis courts, softball/soccer fields, pickleball courts, and a skate park. There is a 2 night minimum stay. I'm about a 15 minute walk to Lake MI and a 6 block walk thru a great neighborhood to the downtown area. It is on the lower level with a bedroom, half bath and living area. It's a shared shower that I use upstairs. I am the only one in the house and I keep it nice and clean. I provide coffee/tea and snacks. I do have a cat for those with allergies. There is kitchen use available for those with longer visits.

The space
I have recently changed out the full size bed to a queen bed for more comfort for my guests.

Besides the bedroom and half bath downstairs, there is a living space area to relax in. There is a TV and board games to enjoy and perhaps an ongoing jigsaw puzzle.

During your stay
If I'm out and about somewhere, I will always be available by phone or text. Other than that come and go as you please. No need to check in or out with me.

Since the space is downstairs, there is a full flight of stairs that is well lit, wide and carpeted. But if there are issues with managing stairs, this may not be the rental for you.

Make yourself at home in this stylish, newly renovated, sun-filled upper unit home in eastown Grand Haven. All the basic amenities you'll need, and free parking. It's less than 20 minutes to walk downtown, with lots of shopping and food options, and an 8 minute drive to the beach (40ish minutes if you feel like walking). Our place is centrally located in West Michigan halfway between the cities of Grand Haven, Holland, Grand Rapids and Allendale, home of Grand Valley State University. Lake Michigan beaches are located within ten miles to the west of our place. There are many festivals and activities in the West Michigan area at various times throughout the year.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire apartment area located at the lower level of our home and also access to a private guest patio located in the front yard of the property. The apartment has its own private entrance.
