The cottage is tucked away on a one acre lot and situated between the owner's historic farmhouse and the original well-maintained hay barn, the positioning of the buildings offer plenty of privacy to guests.

It is conveniently located half a mile to the east of Lake Michigan and less than 2 miles directly south of the charming historic downtown South Haven and South Beach. Within one mile south of the cottage, guests can access Lake Michigan at Deerlick Creek Park Beach as well, and Van Buren State Park is about 2 miles further south. Moreover, the State Park and downtown beaches are easily reachable via the 5 mile long Van Buren Hike and Bike Trail, which is just a 1/4 mile from the driveway. All of South Haven's main attractions can be reached in a quick 5-10 minute drive or a leisurely 15-20 minute bike ride.

The interior offers a very spacious living room that easily accommodates a queen memory foam sleeper sofa, an oversized chair, and two upholstered chairs. Child-friendly seating options are available for activities on the large factory cart coffee table, which can be conveniently rolled away if using the sleeper sofa. There is plenty of space for enjoying the array of card and board games or relaxing and watching movies amidst child-friendly decor. The living room is equipped with a Smart TV, a high-speed Xfinity internet/WIFI connection, also a collection of painting and drawing art supplies. You'll also find postcards to send to loved ones, a retro turntable with a diverse selection of albums, and a vintage restored typewriter for composing poetry or letters while revolting against technology.

In the fully stocked kitchen, you'l find a dishwasher, disposal, coffee grinder, toaster, microwave, gas stove, crockpot, baking dishes, and a ninja blender. Additionally, we provide various kitchen essentials such as spices, olive oil, wine, balsamic vinegar, coffee, tea, and all condiments. For outdoor activities, there is a propane BBQ grill, coolers, bicycles, and helmets, beach towels, beach blankets, umbrellas, portable chairs, and a collapsible wagon to tote the kids or the goods to the beach. Prior to your arrival, we will send you a detailed list of all house and recreational amenities to help you prepare for your trip.

The two spacious bedrooms feature queen pillow top mattresses with bamboo cotton linens and comforters. Each bedroom is equipped with plenty of storage space, oscillating floor fans, and nightlights. The master bedroom includes an exterior door opening to a patio, offering a tranquil view of the densely tree lined property, fire ring with provided firewood and an organic vegetable garden.

For families with infants or toddlers, we offer two freshly sanitized Pack and Play units, along with linens.
The bathroom features a large 6 x 4 walk in shower, heated tile flooring and shower stool if needed. For families with young children, a step stool is available..

The laundry area is equipped with a stack washer-dryer, along with detergent, bleach, and dryer sheets for your use. Additionally, we provide a selection of toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, body soap, body lotion, a lint brush, hair dryer, cotton balls, and Q-tips.

For outdoor enthusiasts, access to the Kal-Haven hike and bike trailhead is located just a short distance from downtown. Additionally, the Van Buren Trail, situated only 1/4 mile from the house, extends approximately 5 miles from downtown to the Van Buren State Park.

Darling immaculately clean two bedroom cottage, one block from Packard Park beach and playground and four blocks from town. Newly renovated, new furnishings, freshly painted, new carpeting and flooring, new shower, new mattresses and bedding. New owners. We vacationed in South Haven eight years ago with our family and loved the North side of South Haven and found this home and cottage on the same street where we rented. It's a perfect spot in the very best location, and we are pleased to offer our cute cottage for rent weekly during the peak summer season and daily in the off-season. You will immediately be welcomed by a large deck with new furnishings for your outdoor pleasure. Everything inside the cottage is new and fresh in a beach theme. Full size bed in the main bedroom with a full size bottom and twin upper bunk bed in the second. Single pull-out sofa bed is in the living room. This was already a fabulous 2 bedroom cottage but I have remodeled it to make it a gem! It is located across from Packard Park beach with 300 feet of sandy beach.

This 2 bedroom cottage has 1500 SF of living space, add the one bedroom for 500SF more. The bedrooms are at opposite ends of the living room and each has bath, one with tub shower and one with walk in shower. There are 2 new king beds with luxury bedding ( none of that rental company scratchy kind) and towels.

The property abuts what is known as the "Celery Pond" area of South Haven that includes a portion of the Kal Haven Trail and State Park. The backyard offers the maximum in personal privacy with an expanse of trees and foliage that gives the impression of being in a forest. The deck and master bedroom provide an exquisite view of this soothing vista.

The home is spacious for two with all the amenities one would expect from home. On the second floor, there's a master bedroom with a sliding glass door and balcony; plenty of closet space with drawer space for incidentals; an upstairs half-bath with a shower; and a linen closet stocked with towels and toiletries. The Baby Grand is a cozy, clean, and comfortable cottage located JUST 60 YARDS to the beautiful and pristine sands of North Beach on Lake Michigan. The wonderful location allows you to relax and enjoy Beachy days as you come and go to the cottage for a snack, drink, or even a nap.

The Baby Grand has a relaxed and open floor plan with multiple sleeping options to choose from. The bedroom has a Queen size bed, there is a full size sofa bed (with a gel mattress), and there is also a twin daybed with a twin trundle bed. The cottage has a clean and easy feel to it and contains the essentials for preparing meals, grilling on the gas grill, dining indoor or outdoor, and watching movies in the evening.
Backpack beach chairs, a beach cart, beach umbrellas, and games and toys are available for your use.

RENTAL DURATION
During the prime summer season we prefer to book the cottage for weekly stays from Saturday to Saturday as It keeps the turnover costs down so we can maintain reasonable rates for our guests. We do sometimes offer shorter stays in June, August, and in the off season.

PARKING
The Baby Grand has a driveway that accomodates two vehicles. A beach parking permit sticker is required for all other neighborhood street parking. Parking permits can be purchased for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual increments from the City of South Haven City Hall and the Police Department.

Located in the historic Monroe Park, the cottage is steps from the Black River walkway, and a short walk to the Stanley Johnston Memorial Park. Paddle boards and kayaks can be rented on the beach (next to the snack shop).
Bunde’s Bakery Cafe and the North Side Memories Deli & Convenience store are also close by and convenient for coffee, sandwiches, ice cream, and snacks.

Not far from there is the newly renovated and expanded Michigan Maritime Museum . The Friends Good Will (replica 1800’s sailing ship) offers daily sails and sunset cruises – weather permitting. Captain Lou’s Bar and Grill has great food and offers an outdoor seating area for you to watch the boats coming and going on the Black River.

You can continue your walk to Downtown South Haven where you can sign up and/or leave for some chartered fishing and/or a boat tour. You’ll find plenty of shopping in the many unique stores and dining in a variety of restaurants and eateries.

Relax on The Idler Riverboat with a fabulous South Haven Iced Tea while you watch the boats come in and out of the harbor. You can enjoy a first run movie at the vintage Michigan Theatre, play video games at the Rocket Arcade, and enjoy wine and IPAs from the downtown breweries and wine tasting rooms.

The South Haven Farm market is an open market that offers fresh local produce, food and baked goods, and unique gifts every Wednesday and Saturday during the summer season.

A charming little cottage on a quiet cul-de-sac, one block from Lake Michigan's Newcome beach. A mile from downtown South Haven is where you find this immaculate two bedroom, one bath cottage. Sip your morning coffee in the beautiful screened-in porch as you start your day. The front cottage offers a full kitchen, wi-fi, cable with a Smart TV, central A/C/heat, a Keurig and a coffee maker, charcoal grill and a picnic table. All you need to bring are your own bath and beach towels. There is laundry on property.

So much to do in and around South Haven; all a short drive from the cottage. You can venture out to see the South Haven Lighthouse, bike the Kal-Haven Trail, kayak on the Black River or golf at the Hawkshead Links. - "Great location ! Walkable to Newcomb beach. Quiet street, cute small house perfect for three people. Well stocked , clean and comfortable beds. Only issue was the poison ivy located around the bbq area and picnic table which we did not use because we did not want to get poison ivy. I notified owner , but did not hear back. A friend who stayed here a while back also notified owner and they did not address this situation. It is right along the path so I was concerned a child would walk right through it. That was the only issue."

This cute house turned 100 years old in 2020! Walking distance, only 2 blocks to South Beach using the Blue Stairs. Your kids will love the big waves and sandy shoreline of South Beach during the day and evening walks into town for ice cream before watching the Lake MI sunset.

Glenn Haven boasts a charming (and cozy) 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage located in the lakefront community of Glenn Shores, with private beach access to Lake Michigan right in our association and just a short walk away. If you prefer public access, you will be less than 10 miles from 14 public beach access points!

The cottage has (1) King Bedroom and (1) Queen Bedroom and a queen pullout sofa sleeper in the living area.

The space
The cottage is quaint boasting an open concept, and two bedrooms. The full kitchen has all the amenities for preparing meals for your group. Included are towels, linens, 4 beach towels and 4 beach chairs, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, both brew and kuerig coffee. Outside you will find a gas grill, a gas fire pit, and an additional wood burning fire pit.

Lounge inside, or on our screened in patio. Or, take a short walk to the beach to enjoy the beautiful Lake Michigan sunset.

Glenn Haven is located half way between South Haven and Saugatuck in Glenn Michigan. With private lots, small narrow streets, this is the perfect place to feel secluded and private even with neighbors nearby. Glenn Haven offers a majestic Lake Michigan experience.

We are limited to a total of 5 registered guests at any time (this includes children and adults) due to the size of the cottage (and with 5, this does estimate someone sleeping on the pull out couch). We strive to make our cottage a haven for all of our guests, therefore we are unable to accommodate pets of any kind, smoking, and parties/gatherings.

We welcome babies and small children but we are not baby/childproofed so be sure to pack those essentials!

Our cottage is strictly pet free due to family member with severe pet allergies so we are unable to host pets of any kind, including service animals. If we can help you find pet friendly accommodations in our area please let us know.

Don't let the small-looking front of the house fool you. It is a lot bigger than it looks from the road, especially with the high ceilings. Our comfortable home features a gourmet kitchen with a double oven, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen seats 14 people. Our living room has two couches, a love seat, and a Lazy Boy chair, sitting nine adults comfortably. The outdoor area seats 12+ people. With four bedrooms and two full baths, your family has plenty of space. Due to allergy issues, we do not allow pets or smoking.

The whole house will be available to guests. We do not stay at the home while it is rented. Mid-June to mid-August check-in and out is only on Saturdays.

Welcome to Canary Cottage! Bring your beach towels and start making your summer memories now! Prime location in South Haven, MI and have access to the best this beach town has to offer. This 3 bedroom / 1 bathroom home is near downtown, the beach, newly renovated park called Kids' Corner, and bike path. We own the lots next to the home, so feel free to use it to play games and have a bonfire at night. Sorry, but there is no smoking/pets allowed in this home or property.

The space
The cute cottage is located 2.5 blocks from Kid's Corner, 3.5 blocks from the beach (public access), 6-7 blocks from the marina, and 8 blocks from down town night-life/restaurants. You can walk everywhere in South Haven from Canary!

The main floor is comprised of the primary bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, dining room, living room, and laundry porch. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and living room has a sofa sleeper. Two nice size leather sofas in the living room allow guests to relax after a fun day exploring our little beach town! There's a beautiful front porch that you can enjoy a morning cup of coffee or sun-filled sunset (but take it from me, walk to see it near the blue stairs if you can).

Upstairs bedrooms has two bedrooms (3 twin beds and one full size bed).

The house if outfitted with Comcast Xfinity Cable and Wifi. It should reach out onto the back deck that has a nice patio seating space and an umbrella to cover you from the sun if you want to work from outside.

You can park on the street in front of the house over night during the summer months, and we provide two parking spots off the side of the home for you and your guests. We ask though, to be respectful of the neighborhood and to not overcrowd the area with vehicles. What allows me to have the home up for rent is the patience / grace / generosity of the neighborhood, so please when you see a friendly face, give a wave or shoot over a smile. We'd really appreciate it!

Nestled on a serene street, just five houses away from 1st St Beach, this cottage offers a short bike ride to town. Renovated and stylishly furnished in 2020, the single-level cottage spans approximately 1200 sq ft. It features an open floor plan kitchen, dining, and living room. The master bedroom boasts a queen bed.

The second bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and a twin trundle beneath.

The third bedroom, which doubles as a bonus room, includes a twin-over-twin daybed with blackout privacy curtains.
For additional sleeping arrangements, there's a Crate and Barrel pull-out sofa in the living room.
A wrap-around deck offers ample seating, complemented by a new Weber gas grill with an extra propane tank.
An outdoor shower provides convenience for washing off the sand after beach outings.

There's also a firepit.
Two bicycles, numerous beach chairs, and a wagon are available for use.

Guests are reminded to bring their own beach towels, as these are not supplied.

Our summer cottage and our favorite spot on the planet! While South Haven is one of the best summer destinations for fun on the beach, fall and winter provide peace and quiet when many leave for warmer climates. In 2017, we totally renovated to make it comfortable for our guests in ways that we'd only dreamed of - custom mattresses, new carpeting throughout, and a spa-style bathroom with unlimited hot water. In 2023, we added a bathroom with tub to the master bedroom.

The space
South Haven is a summer destination but tranquil during the off-season. Some restaurants close late fall and reopen early spring, but many of the best stay open year-round. Our cottage is quirky, but cozy and warm - it has four bedrooms, two full bathrooms (one with a tub), and once you get into the spa shower, you won't want to leave (really - between the water jets and the backlit color-changing onyx, it's an experience you won't forget). Though the kitchen is smaller, there's room to cook and prep, and you can get eight people around the table. The wood in the living room was milled locally around 1920 and we've never seen anything like it. We have quick Comcast Wifi along with smart devices including keyless deadbolts and connected smoke detectors. Indirect LED lighting in the living room provides a warm, inviting space to spend time with your family or loved ones, while color changing LEDs over the back cabinets offer a lightshow for you and the neighbors. We're pretty sure you'll love the place as much as we do.

You can walk to and spend the day on a glorious, sand beach from the house. In the evenings, grill out on the gas grill and eat under the pergola. Make s'mores on the campfire!

Enjoy open space in the living room w/gas fireplace, kitchen & dining at large island. There are 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor and 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. We have extremely comfortable beds with a posturepedic king mattress and posturepedic mattress toppers on 3 other beds.

Play outdoor Ping Pong, Pickleball or Corn-Hole outdoors. Have your morning coffee on the shaded front porch. Enjoy the screened-in porch on rainy days or to avoid any bugs! Build a fire in the fire pit and roast marshmallows or hotdogs. Grill out on our gas grill and eat under the pergola.

The total square footage of the house is 1350 sq. feet. inside + 2 outdoor porches. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs. There is one full bath on the 1st floor and one full bath on the 2nd floor.

Please leave the house and all furniture arrangements exactly as you found it.

You may see or encounter wildlife while in my cottage or walking the neighborhood. This may include deer, raccoons, skunks, snakes, mice, spiders, flying insects and other critters. We have no control over where they roam or if an insect enters the house while doors are open. No pesticides, herbicides, poisons or glue traps permitted.

Any tampering, disabling, covering security cameras or the supporting wifi is a material breach of contract that will result in immediate eviction with no refunds.

CONNECTIVITY / INTERNET: The landlord is unable to guarantee reliability or performance of the internet due to weather related incidents or provider outage.. If there are internet issues, the owner will provide the renter account information which they can use to troubleshoot directly with the service provider. The landlord will not be able to assist in troubleshooting. For short-term stays, there is no guarantee a technician can be scheduled in a timely fashion. if connectivity is urgent, bring back-up options such as a hotspot .

Our cottage is one block from the sugar sands of South beach. Located across the street from the Kids Corner park. The cottage has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms along with a loft that acts as a third bedroom ideal for kids. Two living rooms and a brand new kitchen & primary bath. Washer and dryer. The space
There are two bedrooms located on the main level located on opposite ends of the house. The primary bedroom has an attached brand new full bathroom with a queen size bed, Roku TV, closet, and dresser. The other bedroom has a queen size bed, closet, and dresser. The second full bathroom is located right outside of it. The loft is accessible by a custom ladder only making it an ideal space for kids since most adults wont be able to fully stand up in the loft or anyone that is OK with using the ladder. It is a large open area with a queen size bed on one end of it. The house has two different living rooms with Roku TV's in each one. There is a brand new kitchen stocked with all the necessities and full size washer and dryer. The backyard has a massive concrete patio that has a fire pit, rope lights over head for night time use, corn hole bags, and patio furniture all there for your use. We offer a new 6 person golf cart for rent that is equipped with seat belts, stereo, lights, and is street legal. It’s super fun and convenient to cruise around town in. Makes taking all your chairs and cooler to the beach very easy. It is allowed to park at any public beach in South Haven.

Our tastefully renovated cottage is the perfect setting for a true vacation. Feel at home, relax, and spend quality time with your family or group, while enjoying all the fun that South Haven and Lake Michigan has to offer!

Our home has 4 beds and 3 baths. The home is set up to sleep 15 max (13 comfortably):

Bedroom 1: Main floor; Queen size bed. (Sleeps 2)
The walk-in closet has an extra cot, a toddler high chair, and a pack n' play.
Bedroom 2: 2nd floor, master's. King size bed (Sleeps 2). The Walk-in closet has an extra cot and a foldable crib.
Bedroom 3: 2nd floor: Queen size bed (Sleeps 2).
Bedroom 4: 2nd floor: 5 bunk beds (Sleeps 5).
EXTRA beds:
Queen pull out sofa in the living room (Sleeps 2).
2 extra twin cots that can be set up in the family room (Sleeps 2). Stored in the main floor bedroom closet and the master's bedroom closet.

We have equipped the kitchen with everything you need for cooking and eating. There's complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, and cream. You can also bring your own K-cups and use the Keurig.

The dining area has a wonderful ambiance! The table sits 6 but if you need additional seating, we have 4 folding chairs tucked away in the dining area closet. There's a high chair for your baby or toddler (kept in the bedroom closet on the main floor)! A pack n' play is available to keep your baby safe while playing or napping.

Right in the living room is a conversational couch, which is also a queen-size, pull-out sofa. Across from it, is the entertainment area, where you can watch movies and play board games. A game table on the side of the room has been set up for your convenience. There's a reading nook with a couple of recliner chairs and personal reading lamps.

The 3-season porch and the outdoor deck are available to use from spring to early fall. You can use the grill and patio furniture on the deck, picnic tables, and a bonfire pit to enjoy the outdoors. The home sits on 1.22 acres so there's plenty of room to set up yard games: bean bag toss, croquet, basketball.

Lastly, if you're heading out to the beach, remember to grab some beach toys and portable chairs from the garage -- all available for your use and enjoyment!
