Three families stayed at Sleepy Hollow and three stayed at nearby spots because of their pets but we all congregated over shared meals and beach and pool time. Our unit was clean and in good shape, great for our large gatherings with enough tables and seating inside and outside on our screened porch. Shasta and Dale were wonderful, gave us our wood in a bucket for the traditional last night fire on the beach. Even provided a gorgeous sunset. Loved the bright blue beach chairs and the landings for rest stops on the long hike up and down the stairs to the beautiful sand below. That breathtaking view is the same as it was 27 years ago!"

Unwind at this fun family-friendly cabin in the Glenn Shores beach community. The house was lovingly renovated in 2021 including a brand new bathroom, kitchen, and outdoor shower. Located equidistant from downtown South Haven and Saugatuck, offering families a wealth of local attractions to explore. Nestled on over an acre of secluded property, this cabin is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy all that Southwest Michigan has to offer.

About the house:
The house has two main structures - the main house and then a bonus bunk house (bedroom #2 pictured) which is about 15 yards away from the main house. The bunk house is only available seasonally (May - Sept).

Bunk House (Bedroom #2 pictured):
The bunk house is a large space with a queen size bed, living area with a pull out couch (sheets and extra pillows available in the closet of the main house bedroom), large desk facing the woods, and its own deck. The bunk house is a perfect private space for a couple or for kids to stay and feel like they have their own space. The bunk house is only available seasonally (May - Sept) as it is not winterized.

Main House:
The main house has the primary bedroom with a queen sized bed, a full kitchen, a full bathroom, a living room, dining area, wood burning fireplace, screened in porch, and large deck off the back. Details about each space below.

Kitchen:
The kitchen is newly renovated and fully stocked with a retro refrigerator, full size electric range oven, farm house sink, and dish washer. All cooking utensils and spices you may need are provided as well as dish ware, pots and pans, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker (Coffee and Tea K-cups provided).

Dining area:
The dining area is just off the kitchen and includes a large built in bench and table that can seat six. It is a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee.

Bathroom:
The bathroom is newly renovated with a large glass shower, new vanity, and washer dryer. It is fully stocked with hair dryer, towels, toilet paper, and dove soap. Guests will need to bring their own toiletries (shampoo/conditioner).

Wood burning fireplace:
The main house has a huge wood burning fireplace that is not functional at this time. We kindly ask that guests refrain from using it.

Screened in porch:
The main house has a front screened in porch that seasonally includes a small bistro table and a sitting area perfect for enjoying morning coffee or an evening meal.

Bar area:
The main house includes a small entryway/bar area which includes a cocktail shaker, wine opener, wine glasses, and copper mugs.

Outdoor shower:
There is an outdoor shower off the bathroom of the main house. This is a great spot for washing off after a trip to the beach.

The yard:
The houses sit on just over an acre of property which backs into what used to be an old golf course where there is a ton of wildlife (deer, turkey, an occasional fox) that can be seen trotting through. There are two decks on the property--one off the main house and one off the bunk house. The main house deck includes an outdoor seating area (available seasonally) and a gas grill. There is a fire pit and chairs in the back yard. Guests can help themselves to the firewood that is piled in the yard. A lighter can be found in the long drawer in the kitchen. There are a few yard games available for guests to use. These games can be found in the bin off the back deck.

Beach access: (seasonally)
The Glenn Shores community has a water lookout point that is about a 5-7 minute walk from the house. This is a great spot to go watch the sunsets. The stairs to the water have been removed due to high water levels. The beach is an additional 5 minute walk from the lookout point. A community map is available in the guestbook. To drive down to the beach (4 min drive) you'll need to bring the key to unlock the beach gate. In the summer months, the key can be found attached to a small shovel on top of the microwave. The beach has picnic tables and a sandy area. It is a smaller beach due to higher water levels but usually guests can find a spot. Note, there are no lifeguards on duty.

Water toys:
During the summer months, guests can access beach towels, floaties, life vests, and beach chairs. Beach towels can be found in the main house bathroom. All other items can be found in a large bin off the back deck.

Parking:
The house has ample parking in front of the house (3+ cars). Guests can pull in next to the shed. Please do not pull in all the way to the house as the well is located there.

Both the main house and the bunk house have keypad entry. The codes to each house will be provided via text before your stay. These codes are updated after each stay.

- "Fun time with four of our grands…ages 9, 6, 4 &4. Kids slept on pull out couches & chairs. Loved the fire pit, a little pickle ball & short ride to South Beach. Kids Corner was a big hit. A few issues but manager was quickly responsive. Would like to go back with grown kids along too!" - "We stayed here with our 2 dogs, and it was very lovely. The amenities were great, and our dogs loved all the open space on the property to run around, take walks, and play. The location is as described and in close distance to South Haven and all its attractions. One thing I will note is that if you are taller (5’8 or above), be aware that the space can get a bit cramped. The bathroom was not pictured on the listing, and we found a very small and short shower that was difficult to maneuver. The kitchen is also much tighter than we anticipated from the pictures. There were also a few spots in the flooring where it seemed to be caving in (there was even a crack in one spot from people walking in the hole so much). Overall, it was a great stay, and I’m sure we will be back someday!"

Dome #3 is a cozy geodesic dome built for 2. Inside it has a coffee table with a view outside, and comes with a coffee maker, a small wood furnace for heating a cooking, utensils and dinnerware, and more. Right outside the dome is a fire pit, picnic table, and a private hot tub. Dome #3 has an unobstructed view of a large and overgrown prairie where flowers and reeds of various colors can be seen. Near the dome is the main bathroom just a short walk away as well as a secondary portajohn with a flushable toilet and sink.

This 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage is just feet from Lake Michigan with a boardwalk down to the water (no stairs). Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, bedrooms 2 and 3 have bunk beds. There is also a Roku TV to watch your favorite shows after a long day soaking up the sun. There is room for one car to park in front but you MUST purchase a parking sticker from the beach kiosk. The 6 cabins are located on our 50 acre property just 5 minutes from downtown South Haven. The adjoining Kal-Haven Trail also offers a scenic ride into the downtown!

Each cabin has three queen beds and one queen sofa sleeper. They also have their own private handmade picnic table, handmade charcoal grill, and fire ring. In the center of the six cabins is a large community fire pit for larger groups or a gathering place to meet new friends!

There are no bathrooms in any of the cabins; however, just a short walk away is our beautiful bathhouse which contains all of the space everyone might need, 4 regular showers, and 1 fully accessible restroom/shower. Throughout the property we have utilized thousands of feet of locally harvested, sawn and kiln-dried hickory/red oak from our Amish neighbors. This is readily apparent in the bathhouse and many fixtures that you will come across during your stay!

Guests may access any part of the 50 acre property aside from the manager's home and the privately rented duplex (also on Airbnb). There are 20 acres of woods, a stream, and plenty of walking paths throughout the property. You will love watching the sunrises, the sunsets, and stargazing each time you visit--there aren't many places like this!

One common question that we get is "Do you rent bicycles?" The answer is yes, we have a great partnership with Rock n' Road, the local bike shop. Their rentals are reasonably priced and will drop off/pick up for free. They have many sizes of bikes as well as supplemental equipment that you and your guests require. Simply let us know ahead of time and they will be waiting by the door!

Up North and its sister cabin Green Acres are both comfortable one bedroom cabins with screened in decks on a wooded setting. There is a trail right outside the front door that leads to a sitting area on the Black River. The river is shallow with a sandy bottom. Perfect for dogs that love to swim. Along the way you’ll see the best of nature including creeks, ravines, hills, and probably some wildlife. The cabins are only 10 minutes away from South Haven’s world class beaches and restaurants.

Come visit our authentic family built rustic log cabin. Built by Mark and Dad, with pines grown by Dad and Grandpa. The cabin was built in honor of Grandpa. He had plans to build on this spot when the pines matured. It’s the perfect place to get away and relax, with a beautiful lake view, and authentic Rustic cabin living.

The perfect atmosphere for a true vacation; with untouched wildlife, a Potbelly wood stove, minimal electricity, no Wi-Fi, and no cable. We do have a TV with a DVD player attached . Stand alone AC Unit.

This is a place to unplug, go for walks on trails, and it’s pet friendly. You can go swimming in the summer, fishing year round, and row around lake. There is a cookout area with a fire pit grill and charcoal grill. And let’s not forget the beautiful starry nights to add to those beautiful memories in the making.

The house has two main structures - the main house and then a bonus bunk house (bedroom #2 pictured) which is about 15 yards away from the main house. The bunk house is only available seasonally (May - Sept).

Bunk House (Bedroom #2 pictured):
The bunk house is a large space with a queen size bed, living area with a pull out couch (sheets and extra pillows available in the closet of the main house bedroom), large desk facing the woods, and its own deck. The bunk house is a perfect private space for a couple or for kids to stay and feel like they have their own space. The bunk house is only available seasonally (May - Sept) as it is not winterized.

Main House:
The main house has the primary bedroom with a queen sized bed, a full kitchen, a full bathroom, a living room, dining area, wood burning fireplace, screened in porch, and large deck off the back. Details about each space below.

Kitchen:
The kitchen is newly renovated and fully stocked with a retro refrigerator, full size electric range oven, farm house sink, and dish washer. All cooking utensils and spices you may need are provided as well as dish ware, pots and pans, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker.

Dining area:
The dining area is just off the kitchen and includes a large built in bench and table that can seat six. It is a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee.

Bathroom:
The bathroom is newly renovated with a large glass shower, new vanity, and washer dryer. It is fully stocked with towels, toilet paper, and dove soap. Guests will need to bring their own toiletries (shampoo/conditioner).

Wood burning fireplace:
The main house has a huge wood burning fireplace that is not functional at this time. We kindly ask that guests refrain from using it.

Screened in porch:
The main house has a front screened in porch that seasonally includes a small bistro table and a sitting area perfect for enjoying morning coffee or an evening meal.

Bar area:
The main house includes a small entryway/bar area which includes a cocktail shaker, wine opener, wine glasses, and copper mugs.

Outdoor shower:
There is an outdoor shower off the bathroom of the main house. This is a great spot for washing off after a trip to the beach.

The yard:
The houses sit on just over an acre of property which backs into what used to be an old golf course where there is a ton of wildlife (deer, turkey, an occasional fox) that can be seen trotting through. There are two decks on the property - one off the main house and one off the bunk house. The main house deck includes chairs and a charcoal grill. Please bring your own charcoal. There is a fire pit in the back yard. Guests can help themselves to the firewood that is piled in the yard. There are a few yard games available for guests to use. These games can be found in the bin off the back deck.

Beach access:
The Glenn Shores community has a water lookout point that is about a 5-7 minute walk from the house. This is a great spot to go watch the sunsets. The stairs to the water have been removed due to high water levels. The beach is an additional 5 minute walk from the lookout point. A community map is available in the guestbook. The beach has picnic tables and a sandy area. It is a smaller beach due to higher water levels but usually guests can find a spot. Note, there are no lifeguards on duty. Swim at your own risk.

Water toys:
During the summer months, guests can access beach towels, floaties, life vests, and beach chairs. Beach towels can be found in the main house bathroom. All other items can be found in a large bin off the back deck.

Parking:
The house has ample parking in front of the house (3+ cars). Please park by the house sign in the cul de sac. Please do not drive closer to the house.

House access:
Both the main house and the bunk house have keypad entry. The codes to each house will be provided via text before your stay. These codes are updated after each stay. Please DO not latch the bolt locks in the main house or the bunk house as those require key access not keypad access.

The cabin is unit number 12, which you will see posted on the right side of the cabin from the gravel road. It is the fourth cabin from the back of the property on the riverside of the road. There is a parking spot marked near the cabin.

The space
Little Roadside is a collection of overnight cabins (4 total cabins) and an old general store turned into a communal lodge. While the cabins are small it provides you with everything you need, a cozy bed, bathroom, sink, shower, mini fridge. The lodge and fire pit are for all to share with a chefs kitchen, large dining table, WIFI, hangout area with TV and sitting area.
