Parking Notes: Upon check-in, you will receive a parking pass that you are responsible for displaying on the dash(es) of your vehicle. A maximum of three vehicles are allowed to park at any time. Please park two vehicles bumper to bumper single file and the third on the left side of back car. Failure to adhere to these rules can result in a $50 fine. If there is no room for the third vehicle or if you have more than three vehicles with your group, please park at the overflow parking location, which is the park and ride lot at Exit 41 and US 196. A parking diagram is also provided at the home for your reference. Unauthorized parking can result in property damage, frustrated neighbors, and in some cases revocation of rental certificate.

Water Access: An Association beach is provided on Goshorn Lake. Please use the marked path to the beach and the marked path to the dock. The pier is also available for your use. While fun, beach fires are strictly prohibited along the shores of Goshorn Lake. There is also Saugatuck Dunes State Park north of the river; this large wooded park area has hiking trails and cross-country ski trails.

When you walk into the main living area, you immediately will notice the grand, vaulted ceilings and unique appointments that make these cabins special. Curl up on the leather couches in front of the towering, 22' tall stone fireplace with a good book, or just relax with friends and family. Overlooking the great room, there's an expanded loft with futon, another TV/DVD combo, desk, and plenty of room to stretch out. For those who wish to stay in touch with the outside world, there is a 40' or larger LCD HDTV in the main area with Cable, DVD, and stereo system. High-speed wireless internet service is also complimentary during your stay, as is free local calls.

This cabin was given special touches not found in other cabins, such as a romantic main floor master suite featuring a queen size bed and sliding glass door which opens to the screened-in back porch. The master bath is appointed with Spa-quality amenities such as a Garden tub, his & hers designer sinks, and a large, separate shower. Also, to make you feel right at home, are his and hers closets, a 6 drawer dresser, TV/DVD combo, and ceiling fan.

Cedar Creek Lodge features an upstairs bunk room with 2 sets of twin bunks (sleeps 4). The second bedroom features a queen-size bed. Both have log dressers and full-size closets. Both have flat screen tv's with dvd players.

The expanded loft sleeps 2 more on a futon sofa and has games, a desk, TV/DVD, and 2 ceiling fans. Located upstairs is also a full bath with a tub/shower combo. An additional half-bath is located on the main level.

The custom kitchen is fully stocked for all your catering and entertaining needs. Both cabins feature custom premium countertops, stainless appliances, coffee maker, and so much more! Dine inside in the dining room, or outside at the table located on the back porch! Located just off the kitchen is a laundry room with washer and dryer for your convenience.

This cabin features unlimited access to the heated association pool (seasonally available during warmer months), which is located a very short walk away! Goshorn Lake is just a few steps farther down the boardwalk where you can cast a line or row your kayak in peace and quiet. Bring the bikes to take the new bike path into Saugatuck. Bring some steaks and your appetite and grill out!

This rustic jewel is a river lovers dream come true! She sits in the river bend at New Richmond on the Lower Kalamazoo River. Sleeps 2-3 comfortably with hot running water and electricity! 1 bedroom with full size bed and dresser, Futon in main living area folds out to full size bed. The historic swing bridge is listed on the Historic List of Natural Places to Visit and is now open to pedestrian traffic only. - "Erica’s A-Frame was an amazing property in a prime location for summer Saugatuck fun. We were within easy walking distance to the chain ferry to downtown and Mount Baldhead park. There was ample parking for our four cars and a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces that let everyone enjoy their time. The home was very clean and well-decorated, with a fully-stocked kitchen for cooking. Erica was a very accommodating host and easy to work with through a few scheduling and location changes."

Built in 1932, this historic cabin overlooking Lake Michigan was previously the writing space for author Paul de Kruif. Today it has been restored to preserve its original charm with thoughtful modern additions.

This property includes an outdoor firepit, private beach access and hiking trails throughout the 60 acres of surrounding woods are just a few of the features offered at this home. This home is closed seasonally from Nov 1-April 30th depending on weather.

The Primary Bedroom boasts its own private entrance to the deck, with a sliding door that can be left open at night for a cool lake breeze. Remote-controlled shades in the Primary and guest bedrooms allow you to enjoy a lakeview for most of the day and privacy in the evening. The room has a King bed, cedar closet, full bathroom with double vanity and additional closets. The washer and dryer are also in the Primary bathroom.

The first guest bedroom looks onto Lake Michigan and features its own sink/vanity and remote-controlled shades. There's also a small collection of books by Paul de Kruif for guests to enjoy. At night, you can close the blinds and cozy into a King bed that can be converted into two twin sized beds upon request.

The bunk room features 2 bottom bunks for guests. TOP BUNK NOT IN USE. Both guest rooms share a full bathroom, located just off the living room.

LOCATION: Nestled on half an acre between Lake Michigan and the Kalamazoo River, Mulberry Pines is a modern, quaint cabin under the pine trees. We're just a quick walk, bike, or drive to to the beach, hiking trails, or downtown Saugatuck and Douglas. Our home is styled after a Modern Cabin vibe, but still staying true to its history as a cabin getaway built in the 1940s.

BED/BATHS: The house offers a large Primary Suite with king bed and bathroom with a walk in shower and jacuzzi bathtub. Upstairs in the loft is the ideal getaway for a couple or family to feel up in the trees with a king bed and trundle twin bed. Located right off the kitchen is a the third bedroom with a queen bed and twin bunk beds, perfect for a couple or all the kids.

LIVING: The open concept living and dining room has a massive couch that can hold everyone staying, large Samsung Frame TV, wood burning fireplace, and long dining table that can hold up to 8 people.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need to cook an amazing dinner. From dishes, cups, wine glasses, silverware, bakeware, cookware, basic appliances, olive oil, salt and pepper, and spices, you will be ready to start cooking from the moment you arrive. The kitchen also has a bar counter top on the island with seating for 4 and small breakfast table with seating for 6 to enjoy a nice morning breakfast.

OUTDOORS: In the large front yard there is plenty of space for yard games and running around, with a fire-pit ready for roasting s'mores. The fenced in backyard is perfect for relaxation with a lounge set, dining table, and the star of the show, a brand new as of Summer 2025 6 person hot tub open year round. If you're staying during June, look out for the Mulberry Tree in the Backyard and feel free to pick and eat some.

PARKING: In the front of the house is a long drive way that has parking spaces for 3 cars; two in the parking area and one in front of the garage.

EV CHARGER: We have a Level 2 Enel X Juicebox 40-amp electric vehicle charger with a J1772 plug available for use during your stay. If you would like to use the charger during your stay, an additional $10/day charge will apply.

This home is situated on the edge of the woods overlooking a ravine. It is common to see animals, mice, and other vermin. The property is serviced monthly by a professional pest company, but sometimes vermin do sneak in. Please let us know right away if you see evidence of anything inside and we will send out pest control. No rate adjustments can be made for vermin in or around the house.
Exploring the adjacent woods may look fun, but this area is filled with poison ivy. Please stick to the areas of the lawn that have been mowed for your enjoyment.

Goshorn Lake Resort is centrally located near everything west michigan has to offer! Only two miles from both Saugatuck and Douglas, 10 miles from Holland, and a short drive to Lake Michigan. This cottage offers 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and sleeps four guests. Some of the amenties the association has is a 26 acre inland lake for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding or fishing! For those who prefer spending time in a pool there is a temperature-controlled in-ground pool as well!!!

Kingfisher Cove unit #15 (The Great Escape) is located in this wonderful community of 29 luxurious cedar log cabins. Nestled in the woods surrounding no-wake Goshorn Lake. The “up north” feeling cottages are only two minutes from downtown Saugatuck. A crafted floor plan that features three bedrooms (including a fabulous master suite), two full baths, an all wood interior, a great room with a towering stone fireplace, a cozy loft that acts as a sitting room and TV area, an open kitchen and a dining area with a view. King Fisher Cove is a short five minute drive to downtown Saugatuck, ten minutes to Oval Beach, and a fifteen minute to Holland. Dune ride are just down the road (2 minutes)

The Great Escape is a stand alone cabin in the King Fisher Cove association. If you are a larger group looking for a few homes in the same complex, look no further! We manage three other cabins in this complex, Gecko Get Away, Our Get Aweigh, and Big Bear Cabin. The four cabins are intended to be rented separately, with separate entrances and private areas, but could easily be rented together for multiple families or couples to enjoy.

The Hop & Vine Inn's kid-friendly property is located in a peaceful country setting, yet only 5-10 minutes to Saugatuck, beaches, restaurants, & activities! Our 18 private units (with 23 private bedrooms, 4 semi-private bedrooms & 18 total full bathrooms...plus a few more half baths) are perfect for family reunions, corporate retreats, Church retreats, women's retreats, golf outings, and any large group event where everyone would like to gather to hang out and make memories, but also have their own private room & bathroom.

Reservations include a large main kitchen off the dining room perfect for cooking meals for large groups. The nearly commercial kitchen includes a large sink, small sink, double oven, commercial-size fridge, additional residential side-by-side fridge/freezer, and large microwave. Dishes, utensils, and a variety of cookware are provided. There is also a guest laundry room.

The large backyard (nearly completely fenced in for peace of mind - believe us, with 3 boys under 4, it has been tested) has a sand volleyball court (which doubles as a giant sandbox for little ones), play structure, swings, yard games, and outdoor ping pong that keep the kiddos busy for hours (when they aren't swimming in the indoor heated pool). Six of the ground floor units have shaded backyard patios with hops growing up the sides. Plenty of picnic tables and chairs for everyone scattered around the yard and 2 firepits. There is also a gazebo with a couch, and a large flat top gas grill for cooking 30 burgers at a time. A pickleball court (built summer 2022), and a driveway basketball hoop for casual shooting around are found on the other side of the building, near the 1904 barn (which makes a great group photo backdrop).

Such groups will need to leave midstay, be charged for damages/cleaning, and will not be refunded for unused dates.

As far as things to do OFF the property, you'll never be bored! Saugatuck & Douglas are within 10-minute drive, and the public beach access to Lake Michigan, is only 3 miles away (and AMAZING for sunsets, rock collecting, and beach activities). Crane's Apple Orchard, Virtue Cider, Fenn Valley Vineyards, Saugatuck Brewing, kayaking, hiking trails at Saugatuck State Park, and the quaint boutiques, art galleries, & amazing food in Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville keep us all very busy. (Ask us about special discounts these local businesses offer our guests!)

Our previous guests have enjoyed that we (the husband & wife owner team, Amber & Dan, and our 3 young boys) live near the property, and can maintain the pool, restock pool towels, answer questions, recommend super fun activities in the area, and ensure each stay is a wonderful one! Located on Hutchins Lake, an all sports lake, this rustic cottage has a dock. It is perfect for those who want to boat, jet ski, water ski, fish or swim. 2 Kayaks are included.

Enjoy the evenings around the bonfire pit. Get back to nature and enjoy the relaxing pace of Hutchins Lake and Fennville. Fennville has several nice parks and a cute downtown with award winning restaurants. It also is the perfect location to start a winery or brewery tour. Fennville is home to 3 wineries and 2 breweries. Also multiple orchards and fruit farms where you can pick your own or enjoy fresh produce that has been picked for you.

The Cabin is located between Saugatuck and South Haven which both offer many fun attractions as well as additional wineries and breweries if you are touring.

The spacious living area features a stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and opens to the kitchen with granite counters, stainless appliances, and a separate dining area. Step outside to the attached screened porch and relax in your private hot tub, gather around the firepit, or enjoy access to the association's heated pool.

Two bedrooms are located on the main floor - a guest room with a queen bed and a kids' space with amazing log bunk beds. These bedrooms share a main floor full bath with a tiled shower/tub combo. The primary bedroom is tucked away on the upper level and features a king bed and ensuite bath with a walk-in shower and soaking tub. The upstairs landing creates another great space to unwind with a TV, fold-out twin sleeper chairs, and a dedicated workspace overlooking the wooded landscape.

A great night’s sleep awaits at this cozy Saugatuck cabin. One of the bedrooms sits on the upper level and the other is located off the kitchen on the first floor. Both bedrooms feature comfortable queen-sized beds with brand-new Casper mattresses and tasteful nature-inspired decor. There is a comfy sofa bed in the living room to accommodate additional guests.

There is one full bathroom with a walk-in shower and plenty of counter space upstairs. There is also a half bathroom connected to the downstairs bedroom.

The bright, airy open concept kitchen and living room make it easy to hang out as a group no matter which room you’re in. The charming full kitchen features spacious countertops, a nice collection of spices, and all the essential cookware and dishes you’ll need to cook and serve home-cooked meals. Enjoy your meals at the kitchen counter (seating for three), or eat as a group at the large dining table (seating for six).

Did we mention the fully-stocked coffee bar? The hardest decision in the morning will be whether to enjoy a home-brewed cup while relaxing on the back patio or to walk downtown to enjoy a cup of coffee at Uncommon Grounds. We recommend doing both!

2 private bedrooms, 2 loft spaces, sleeps 8. Surrounded by conservation and wildlife. It is a rustic and eclectic, recently refinished 70’s cabin. It is surrounded by woods and trails and easily accessed by road. For the adventurous, Oval beach is a 1/4 mile hike through the woods west “as the crow flies” or east is the chain ferry which delivers you to downtown Saugatuck.

The space
Interior Details: This is a 4 bedroom place with two fairly private bedrooms in an open loft area and two fully private bedrooms downstairs. There are two bunk beds in the loft area, each a twin over full size. One side of the loft is larger and connects to a 500 sq ft deck. The other side is connected by a loft bridge that overlooks the living room and provides a separate sleeping space to the other bunk beds. Please note that the stairs to get up to the loft and deck are steeper and narrower than a traditional set of stairs. Those with mobility issues may find them challenging. Plus this is in the woods and there can be bugs especially if a door is left open.
Downstairs are 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds, dressers, bed tables and comfortable Persian rugs. This is a perfect place for two couples with several kids among them. It is also perfect for one big family or several friends getting together. There are a couple extra mattresses under the bunk beds upstairs to maximize your stay.

Internet Details: We have excellent high speed internet and basic cable with one 42" TV screen in the living space.

Oval Beach and Saugatuck Details: This cabin is surrounded by over 400 acres of preserved woods and trails and easy access by road. A 1/4 mile hike through the woods west, as the crow flies, to Oval beach or east to the chain ferry which delivers you to downtown Saugatuck. You can also walk the paved road adjacent to the cabin (Perryman) directly to these places. The walk up to Perryman is uphill on a wooded trail. You can get there in 12 min if you walk quickly. The path in the woods is fairly demanding, especially for older people and young children. Once on Perryman, the beach as well as the chain ferry, are both a .3 mile walk along the road. The chain ferry takes you across the Kalamazoo River to Saugatuck's stores and restaurants and has been in operation since 1838 ($2 one way and available from Memorial Day to Labor Day). It is also easy to drive or bicycle to your destinations from here including Douglas, Saugatuck, Holland, South Haven, etc.

We emphasize how highly unique the location is, where a strip of land with the river on one side and beach on the other, only half a mile wide, jutt out from Douglas into a world class dunescape, through areas such as Oval Beach and its perfect sandy beaches (which is still fine dispute the erosion) and sand dunes to Saugatuck Harbor Natural Area, Oxbow, Tallmadge woods and Mount Baldhead. This is a birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts dream. If you’re lucky you may spot or hear one of the several animals that we’ve seen here. Bald Eagles, fox, deer, Pilleated and Red-Bellied woodpeckers, Barred and Great Horned owls.

For those of you that want escape, you can just stick to the trails and enjoy the privacy of the woods and surrounding landscape around the cabin. If you are here for the night life of Saugatuck and Douglas, this is your escape for a relaxing excluded feel of a mountain retreat.

A large deck is a dream to relax on and listen for wildlife or do the ultimate yoga and meditation experience. If it rains, the four season room is a nice place to listen to the rain but stay dry or have breakfast in. If you are lucky enough to be here for fall, winter or spring, you will be in for a treat. Nearly any weather condition becomes a beautiful sight in this wooded natural location. What you love about each season is emphasized. If you like snow for example, you will enjoy how much of the snow around the cabin remains untouched and beautifully pristine. One of our favorite effects of winter is all of the footprints recorded in the snow from the wildlife. Fall time in the center of thousands of trees is an obvious benefit and enhanced by the healthy stands of Hemlock and White Pine evergreen against the colors of Maple, Beech, Oak and American Linden. Spring and summer are full of baby deer that look just like Bambi.

The living space is accented by local custom made furniture and art for your eyes to feast on. There are several choices of heat including baseboard, wall unit and gas fireplace. There is air conditioning in the upstairs and downstairs. The bathroom is adorned with a beautiful custom tiled shower. The full kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, oven/stove, refrigerator, dishes and silverware. Septic system means please only flush toilet paper.

This lakefront log cabin is part of a small group of homes located on 8 wooded acres on the shore of spring-fed Goshorn Lake, about 1 and 1/2 miles outside of downtown Saugatuck. This beautiful property is surrounded by trees and sand dunes. The large screened-in back porch faces the lake. Goshorn Lake is a no-wake lake, ideal for swimming, fishing, kayaking and canoeing. Goshorn Lake is approximately 100 yards directly behind the cabin. There is also a small beach ideal for younger children.

Foxtail Hideaway (formerly Lonnhuset Lodge), is a cozy 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath luxury rustic cabin featuring all the comforts of home and more. Fully furnished for your comfort with towels, linens and other necessities. This cabin sleeps 8 comfortably. A heated pool and lake access are available from Memorial Day to mid September. Full-size washer & dryer in the cabin for your convenience. For larger groups, ask about availability to also rent one of our affiliated cabins nearby.

The space
**This cabin is handicap accessible on the main level. We have a ramp up to the porch and 36" wide doors.

Foxtail Hideaway features a welcoming, open concept living area with a soaring stone fireplace (wood burning). The custom kitchen is perfect for family meals or entertaining a group of friends. A romantic main floor primary bedroom suite features a queen size bed and attached private bath with a roll-in barrier-free shower, jetted tub, and double sinks. A sliding glass door opens from the bedroom to the screened-in back porch.

Upstairs, you will find two additional bedrooms. Each with a twin over queen bunk.

Stretch out in the loft on the futon, play games, or work from your new "home away from home" with our high-speed internet and spacious work area.

Guests have access to the cabin, the community pool (in season), community fire pit, boardwalk and Goshorn lake for fishing and swimming. There is also a bike trail to follow into town.

Wake Robin’s Writer’s Cabin is a thoughtfully remodeled lakeside Cabin located between Holland and Saugatuck. Open Seasonally: April 1st-November 1st. Bookings for 2025 begin November 1st, 2024.

UPGRADED INTERNET: New to our area, Starlink now provides unlimited internet usage.

NEWLY INSTALLED: Air conditioning and central heat to keep guests comfortable in any weather.

ABOUT THE BEACH: Our 900’ beachfront is privately owned and shared only with our two listings for guests to enjoy. Photos have been updated in May of 2024. YES there is plenty of sandy area to enjoy beyond the protective boulders.

Redesigned beach stairs offer a deck to enjoy elevated views of Lake Michigan. The deck is intended to make beach toys, kayaks and SUP boards easily accessible for guests. We also supply coolers, beach chairs, beach towels and more for our guests.

ABOUT THE FIREPIT: Our firepit is shared between both homes. Firewood is provided along with roasting sticks. Please obtain a FREE verbal permit before arrival and keep the spark cover on at all times. Directions are at the home.

ABOUT THE HOME: Built in 1932, this historic cabin boasts an elevated view of Lake Michigan. Previously the writing space for author Paul de Kruif, today it has been remodeled to preserve its original charm with modern additions. There are three comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large deck that stretches around the lakeside of the home. Amenities include an outdoor firepit, beach access, propane grill, indoor electric fireplace and hiking trails.

More about the interior...
The Primary Bedroom boasts its own elevated section of the deck with a sliding screen door. Remote-controlled shades can be opened completely for a stunning lake view or closed for total privacy. The room has a King bed, tv and cedar closet. Attached is a full bathroom with step-in shower, double vanity and additional storage. The washer and dryer are also in the Primary bathroom.

The lakeside guest bedroom features its own sink/vanity and remote-controlled shades. Enjoy a library of books by Paul de Kruif. At night, choose to cozy into a King bed that can be converted into 2 twin sized beds.

The bunk room features 2 bottom bunks for guests. Our top bunk is NOT in use to comply with the 6 guest maximum. Both guest rooms share a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo, located just off the living room.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dining ware, a range, microwave and fridge. We have additional appliances such as a toaster, Keurig and standard coffee maker.
The breakfast nook features a lake view with picnic and beach supplies stored inside the bench seating.

On the Exterior…
A grill with propane supplied is located on the patio. This is stored each winter. The outdoor firepit overlooking the lake is shared with the neighboring Main House. All wood for the firepit is provided, along with roasting sticks and seating. A free permit must be obtained BEFORE starting a fire.

ABOUT THE LOCATION: This property is in a secluded location between Holland and Saugatuck, approximately 15-20 minutes from either downtown center. Enjoy a trip into town to shop and dine. If you prefer, stay home and enjoy the beach, hiking trails or relaxation indoors. We have something for everyone!

Wake Robin is a true treasure of a location that encourages families and groups to spend time together, enjoy each other and the surroundings while allowing everything else to melt away.

Guest access
You have access to the entire home and shed. There are a few closets and cabinets locked for owner use.
The property has an additional home immediately next door which is NOT included in this rental. The homes are rented together or separately.
Guests share the yard, beach, beach toys/yard games and the driveway.

Other things to note
Beach conditions are subject to weather. Erosion along the Lakeshore is not uncommon. Recently, low lake levels have left plenty of beach to enjoy.

Wake Robin is not ADA accessible because most areas in the home have a step up or step down. There are several steps down from the driveway to the front entrance and 2 steps from the main level to primary suite. There are additional steps to separate levels of the deck.

We have 4 cameras on the exterior of the homes and on the driveway. These help us monitor the property when houses are vacant.

Relax at our log cabin and enjoy the sounds of nature. Take a walk on the trail through the private forest or paddle the canoe out on our pond. Located around 5 minutes away from the artsy towns of Douglas and Saugatuck, there is plenty to enjoy in town as well.

The space
INSIDE THE HOME
The main floor has a living room with soaring ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace for chilly nights. Next to the living room is a large dining table and spacious kitchen that features a large island, two ovens and sub-zero fridge. Pots and pans, dishes and utensils are available for guests to use. On the main floor you will also find two bedrooms and a full bath.
Upstairs includes the large master bedroom with full bath overlooking the private pond.
The lower level is a place you can get cozy and watch a movie or read a book in front of the gas fireplace. You will also find the laundry room, full bathroom, and large bedroom that sleeps 5. If needed, the sofa in the t.v. room pulls out to a queen-sized bed for extra sleepers.
There is one more bedroom and half bathroom above the attached garage.

OUTDOOR SPACE
You can dine in the open-air on the patio located outside the kitchen or enjoy the fire pit and Adirondack chairs while taking in the stars. On the pond side of the house relax on the rocking chairs on the covered porch while sipping your morning coffee. And just below, you will find the hot tub and seating area to take in the view of the beach and pond. Fishing poles, outdoor games, snow shoes and sleds are available if you are looking for something more active. The property also has its own little sandy beach. Wildlife can be seen roaming around including wild turkeys, deer, ducks, geese, and cranes.

THE LOCATION
Our cabin, located just outside Douglas and Saugatuck is the perfect place to get away into nature, while still being close to all the great restaurants, shops and art galleries the area has to offer. Visit nearby breweries, wineries and orchards as you explore the charming towns dotted along the coast of western Michigan

Revel in the rustic feel of this original Lake Michigan cottage that has been in the owner`s family since 1955. It has gone through many changes since then, but imagine the memories that have been created along the way. The owner now opens the door to this cottage for you to build memories just as their family has.

Tucked along Lakeshore Drive in Douglas, this older cottage is a haven for the beach lover. Feel the lake breeze, watch the waves, or take a stroll along miles of shoreline. You cannot get closer to the beach and still be only minutes from downtown Douglas and Saugatuck.

Douglas Beach Cottage offers sleeping for 10 across 4 bedrooms, 2 full and 1 half bathroom, and unbeatable views of Lake Michigan. Cathedral ceilings grace the large and open living room. The furnishings are older but that won`t matter as you will want to spend your entire vacation outdoors. Kick back and relax on the covered back porch overlooking the lake. Or descend your private stairs to take a dip in the cool water.

Please Note: 

A flight of 42 stairs is required to reach this home from the road and it would not be suitable for those who have trouble with stairs.
This is an original cottage. It smells and feels like a true cottage. If you are looking for new, this is not for you. If you are looking for a steady classic, this is it. Original wood floors, walls, and ceilings. 
Due to the beachfront location, the floors are perpetually sandy. Even after being freshly swept, vacuumed, and mopped, you will still find some sand underfoot.
Cell phone reception can be spotty along the lakeshore. Your phone may switch between Eastern Standard Time (Michigan) and Central Standard Time (Illinois and Wisconsin). Internet is provided by Frontier as high-speed cable internet is not available here. 
There are no laundry services available at the cottage. A laundromat is just a mile up the road in Douglas.

Unless you are booking both A-Frames together, you will have complete and private access to all of the amenities associated with your A-Frame cabin. The cabins are strategically placed at a sufficient distance from each other, nestled within a dense forested area. This layout ensures that you won’t have any direct visibility of the other cabin, giving you a truly secluded and peaceful experience.

The surrounding woods provide natural barriers, enhancing the sense of privacy and tranquility.
