Paquette’s Lakehouse is a picturesque 600 square foot cottage located on Briggs Lake. Relax and take in the view on your own private deck overlooking the 75 acre lake with 120 feet of lake frontage.

The space
Looking for the perfect place to really kick back and relax?
Well then… picture yourself on a nice private lake; lounging on a wooden deck, perched high above it all as you soak in the beauty. Thirsty..? A well-stocked party store is just around the corner with a huge selection of beer, wine & spirits. They also offer a hot food deli during the day and early evening. But let’s say you’re hungry for something more. While there are certainly many fine dining establishments and drive-thru restaurants within only 3 miles, you may prefer to drive only one mile to the nearby grocery store. There, you can purchase a few thick juicy steaks or whatever your heart desires to toss on the grill. If you like to float or splash around in the water… you’ll have your very own paddle boat (provided at no additional cost).

Briggs Lake is a no gasoline motor lake. Only electric trolling motors are permitted and what does this mean to you? Peace and tranquility...

Paquette’s Lakehouse is a great destination for bass fishermen. Anglers can fish right off the dock or enjoy a quarter-mile hike to Island Lake recreation area and fish Island Lake. Island lake recreation area is a 4000-acre park that offers an “up north” experience without leaving southeast Michigan.

Paquette’s Lakehouse has many things to offer year round. Enjoy the eye-popping color changes that take place in the fall. Try your hand at cross-country skiing on the lake during the winter and or, ride on nearby mountain bike trails all year. You’ll be conveniently close to golf courses, restaurants, shopping and antiquing. During your stay, you may discover many events to attend; including summer concerts, sidewalk sales, holiday parades, farmers markets, art fairs and Brighton’s Smokin’ Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival. Our lakefront cabin home is just a short drive away from downtown Brighton, where you can explore unique shops, fun local watering holes, or fine dining at local restaurants.

When you exit the back door, be sure to pull the door and hold it shut until the smart lock engages the deadbolt.

Private parking in the back allows you to unload luggage and supplies, you will not have to carry them up the front stairs.

You are on a lake, in a wooded area – spiders and insects are unavoidable. We treat the house every month for pests to help control them, but you will see them.

Do not leave windows or doors open, all insects and some curious wildlife (squirrels and chipmunks ) will enter the house. If you have a pet, please keep it on a leash for their protection.

RULES
-We reserve the right to deny any bookings made by locals from Brighton, MI. If you are a local resident to the Brighton, MI area and wish to book this property you must share the reason for your stay.

-Parties must have a track record of 3 confirmed stays on the Airbnb platform before they are allowed to book with us.

-All guests including pets visiting the property that are not staying overnight must be approved in advance.

-Parties and events are not allowed

-Parking is street parking only (it's plentiful!). There is no off-street parking at this property.

**If staying for longer than 28 days, we require bi-weekly cleanings at $150 per clean**

We receive notifications from exterior cameras 24/7. We have a zero tolerance policy regarding unauthorized parties, illegal behavior, and allowing unregistered guests onto our property. The cameras are on both the front and back porches. They record the front and back porches, sidewalks, front and back yards. We have access to recorded footage at all times.
