Ahoy, matey! Welcome to Skull Island where your adventures begin, and your memories are treasured.

Your adventure begins right after you park your car in the gated parking area. You'll bring your belongings to the dock where you can load it into your boat or use ours. From the dock, the house will be in your view on the island just to the right. THERE IS NO WAY TO DRIVE TO THE ISLAND, IT CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED BY ROWBOAT, YOUR BOAT OR RENTED PONTOON BOAT.

The home is unmistakable with pirate flags all around, painted black with cannons mounted to the side. You are about 100 yards or about a five-minute rowboat ride from your destination.

The property is on a point of the island. This gives you 270-degree views, main view of Pontiac Lake, the beach and Gale Bay. It's great to have the sun on the front of the house and to the rear of the house, you'll find shade under the large maple tree. In the evening you'll enjoy breathtaking sunsets.

You'll have access to everything you need. On the Lake, there is a Chinese Restaurant and a couple of boat liveries. Pontiac Lake State Park has a host of things to do.

Water is the way of the pirate so let's address that. There is a rowboat and paddle boat included with the house at no charge. We rent a well-seasoned 12-person pontoon for $150 per night or a newer pontoon can be rented from the multiple local boat liveries. Lounge around the lake or on the dock or deck all day and spend your evenings in Pontiac, Royal Oak, Birmingham, Clarkston, Detroit, Windsor (Canada), or other local hot spot of your choosing. Bring your fishing pole and catch Bass, Bluegill, Pike, Walleye, and other game fish when in season. Barbecue outside or cook inside. Vacation in beautiful Oakland County while enjoying the cozy, yet upscale, Northern Michigan atmosphere of this home. Abundant wildlife in nature sanctuary type setting all around the property. The cottage has additional dock space for your own boat as well.

On weekends you'll see the locals playing volleyball in the water.

This very unique 1940’s log cabin sits on 5 beautiful wooded acres with paths that lead to a small private lake great for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. One of only 3 homes located within the 4,000 acres of the Pontiac Lake Recreation Area with tons of things to do on the property and nearby including relaxing and swimming on the beautiful 1/2 mile long sandy beach. The entrance to the recreation area is directly across the street.

This cozy and original 1940's log cabin home offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms on 5 beautiful and private wooded acres with rolling hills and paths down to the small private lake which is shared with only 1 neighbor. A hot tub and sauna are coming soon!

This is a very private property. The only 2 neighboring homes are hundreds of feet away from this home. There is a large open living/dining area on the main level that features a natural wood burning fireplace as well as an additional living area on the lower level that also offers a natural wood burning fireplace. The fully updated kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances includes all the kitchen tools needed to prepare a family meal.

The lake: The small private 4 acre lake is located in the back of the property far from the road and house. Guests can enjoy complete peace and quiet and observe unspoiled nature on and around the lake. Guests have the use of several kayaks, row boats, and stand up paddle boards on the lake.

Oakland Counties largest sand beach is located just a few minute drive away in the Pontiac Lake Recreation Area.

Guests also have the option of renting a pontoon on several nearby lakes.

Guests may enjoy morning coffee on the large 3 season porch area with large windows that provide guests with views of the wooded back yard.

Bedroom 1 (queen bed), Bedroom 2 (queen bed) as well as a full bathroom make up the rest of the ground level.

The lower level includes Bedroom 3 (twin over full bunk bed) and an additional full bathroom. An additional full bed is located in the common area of the lower level.

- "This was the first annual family retreat for me and my immediate family. We will be going here every year! We had an absolute blast! Everything was as described. There were 10 people total and we were all able to sleep comfortably between the beds and fold down sofas. The setting is beautiful and when out by the little lake, you feel so far from everything. Surrounded by water & wildlife, it is the perfect place to go fishing, swimming, kayaking or just relaxing under the sun. Your stay comes with access to 3 kayaks & a row boat on two private all sports lakes.

This single story lake cabin located in a quiet/peaceful surrounding is the perfect place to unwind/recharge. At 700 sq ft, it has two bedrooms, one bath and can sleep up to 6 comfortably. All the comforts of home (fully equipped kitchen, laundry, bbq grill, fire pit) plus great views for an experience that you won’t forget.
All this within a short drive to Great Lakes Crossing, Legoland, Sea Life, Pine Knob Music Theater & ski resort, Mt. Holly Ski and many state and Metro parks.

The historic James Smith Farmhouse is one of just 2 log cabins that have been preserved in the city of Detroit. Built between 1820-1830, it is the second oldest house in Detroit. It has been lovingly restored, with some modern amenities, such as an updated kitchen and bathroom, while some of the original details have been left intact. Located in the heart of the Hope Village neighborhood, it is a hidden gem in plain sight.

This cabin is located off the water. Boat does not move. For lodging only.

Be aware: you are staying on the water and
you have to be extremely careful with fire and
alcohol. Remember the docks are narrow and
you can slip and drown if you are not cautious
at all times. It is more like camping than a hotel
but a heck of a lot of fun ;)
The Marina has its own set of rules, including,
but not limited to: being courteous to other
boat owners, keeping the facilities room clean,
and keeping noise levels down between 10pm
and 8am. Most boats in the Marina are fishing
boats. A few organize fishing trips for very
reasonable prices. We could help you arrange
such a trip, if you are interested. Boat smells
are common to all boats and are part of the
experience. I do not recommend this boat for
people very sensitive to smells or folks that
perhaps have asthma. No parties allowed on
the boat or on the dock. The dock must
remain clear at all times

- "Instead of renting a hotel room we rented this boat instead. We didn’t want to drive while hitting the marina restaurants on Nautical Mile. The beds were very comfortable. There was running cold water in the sinks. The host provided extra nice touches. This boat could definitely use some work but you can’t beat the convenience. You can’t go from restaurant to restaurant without going to the main road so you still need to drive or get a ride. There is a nice bath house for showering, etc. I will probably rent this boat again."

This is a great place for fisherman, couples, and families that wants a cabin experience without having to drive 2-3 hours up north. The house sits on the Fox Creek canal. You will have access to 3 private boat docks that are located 60 feet behind the house. The canal provides you access to Lake St Clair and the Detroit River. The house has been totally remodeled and has a modern look and feel.
