Our settler-style cabin may become an unforgettable highlight during your visit to our area. Our initial goal was to utilize in the building process as many reclaimed, recycled, vintage and antique materials as possible in the construction of this self-built structure. To this end result, we were quite successful. Approximately 95% of its total materials have been salvaged and re-purposed from various sources. The blending of all these various components into a harmonious finished product is one that is memorable, soothing, and yet to many, exciting. As different as the exterior’s first impression may be, the cabin’s interior is where your visual senses will be captivated. Wherever your eyes and hands rove you will discover subtly aged textures, hand created items and coordinated color palettes that enhance the feelings of subtle rustic relaxation. These time worn nuances now re-shed their light from simpler by-gone days and are captured by our cabin’s cozy comfortable environment. Our cabin resides behind our 1842 farm home on our “off the beaten path” farmland environment with plenty of privacy which removes you from both the heavy traffic and people congestion normally associated with other vacation rentals. Our centralized location is very convenient to the multitudes of attractions, events and activities found throughout the entire north central Ohio region. Lake Erie’s south shore, Cedar Point Amusement Park, fishing, boating, antique shops and flea markets, dining, golfing, historical attractions, wineries and festivals are all within quick and easy driving distances. Major highways such as the Ohio 80/90 Turnpike, U.S. State Rt. 20 and others are practically at your doorstep and conveniences for groceries and other necessities are only minutes away.

We stayed on a busy weekend and could hear our neighbors but to be expected for rooms that back to one another. Very nice owners! The shared space/amenities offered were ample, including a fridge, television viewing area, coffee maker and courtyard for grilling. Only drawbacks: the a/c thermostat doesn't stay set to lower temperatures all day, so it takes a while for the room to cool down when you first arrive, especially during the summer. Also, there's a lot of road work going on in the area and we got turned around a few times, due to closures. No fault of the property owners there. - "Communication, communication!!! The owner was quick, answered every question we had before arrival and was available during our stay...where we had no problems at all. I loved the lil signs all over the facility about how and what to do to check out, where to put remotes, how to best cool the gathering house and a board with a list of local attractions. Considering the size (It's a huge establishment with many buildings and areas to play and gather)...it was very clean, well organized, and stocked very well for pretty much everything a family or large group would need. It had games, kids activities/toys, ping pong, cards, sand/ volleyball, basketball court, every kind of utensil, pans, stove item, clean up items, condiments, seasonings, towels, washcloths, and entertainment area for music/playing video games, grill. I could go on. All we bought was the food. The gathering areas were huge providing us ample space to gather together in groups or in mass affording privacy for adults and the kids but still keep an eye on the little ones. All the major attractions are within a 30 min drive with Cedar Point being literally down the street. My only negative was the location.. their is a busy train track behind the building, other residences are close by and you are off a busy road so we had to keep an eye on the lil kids for safety, but really it's our job to parent and it is a tourist area. Still overall...5 stars. Can't recommend this place enough. We had a wonderful time."

About this space
Our unique cabin was built in the 1950's with 4 bedrooms, two baths and two small kitchen/living areas finished in knotty pine.
In the 1990's, a beautiful enclosed porch was added as a common area for both units.
We purchased our lovely home in 2016, updating the kitchens and expanding the living areas.
Cabin Fever is a multi-use home that that can be rented as a 2 bedroom 1 bath unit or 4 bedroom 2 bath home.

- There is another vacation rental on-site that shares the gas grill; other travelers may be present
- The community pool and hot tub are open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day, subject to weather conditions

Get away to Put in Bay! After just a short ferry ride, you'll truly feel like you are on an island vacation. House 64 is just one of the of the few homes we own in the Island Club development on Put in Bay.

We require a 2 night minimum when booking on the weekends (Both Fri and Sat must be booked).

The space
This home features a propane grill (we supply the propane) and all the necessary kitchen utensils. Guests have access to the Island Club pool.

Other things to note
Please note that you need to bring your own sheets and towels for all of the Island Club homes. Each bed has a mattress pad, pillow, and comforter.

We personally hand-crafted and built Dancing Fox with 95% gathered salvaged and re-purposed materials to enable us to offer our guests an environment that will sweep you back to the earlier life and times in rural plains Ohio. Relax and experience unique lodging combined with modern amenities yet enjoy the casual rustic nature of what our cabin will radiate during your stay. You'll enjoy features like antique chalkboards used as countertops, hayloft floors, handmade lighting fixtures and more.

The space
Our cabin is not set in a wooded area, however we have trees surrounding the cabin allowing you a private feeling setting it apart from the main farm home. We built Dancing Fox to highlight what David Harpster and his family (original owner) resided in back in 1842 during the making of bricks on the property building the main farm home. Don't worry! The cabin has indoor plumbing, plenty of hot water, cable TV, WiFi, comfortable beds and furnishings and all the other amenities we have become accustom too. It's a great little cabin to experience and we're pretty sure you will love it too!

If you are having a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, engagement, etc...please let us know so we can accommodate you with decorations, cake, flowers, local wine, local chocolates....anything. Also, if you need advice on any tourist attractions, we can help with that as well. Just let us know.

Glamping is the way to go. Try one of our Deluxe KOA 2-bedroom cabins and treat yourself - you deserve it. Our Deluxe cabins are fully furnished with linens and bath towels. Each cabin has air conditioning in every room, a queen bed, two sets of bunk beds, love seat, private bathroom with a tub and shower, and a full kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, 2-burner stove, Keurig, toaster, microwave, and dishes/cups for 6 people. Plus, there's cable TV with flat screens in every room.

Our deluxe KOA cabins are perfect for a family of 4 to 6. Sleep in style when you are renting one of these cabins. Our campground has over 300 sites from RV to lodging, with 2 pools, playground, jump pillow, wacky rydables, pedal carts, fishing, activities & crafts, snack bar and pizzeria and more.

*NOTE* Please understand you are renting a cabin/park model at a KOA Campground, this is not a private residence or house. Summer time we are a hot spot for fun so make sure to check out our web page to see everything we offer.

Our Villa is located in St. Hazards and is an accommodation similar to a cabin and sleeps 4 - 6 guests. St. Hazards Village on the Beach is an amazing 21 acre waterfront resort right in the middle of the U.S. Lake Erie Islands. Arrive by Miller Ferry leaving Catawba island. Great for girls weekend, guys weekend, family fun or just relaxation. Bikes, golf carts or cars can get you around the Island. The State of Ohio state park at Lonz Winery is newly renovated and open for tours.

The space
There is a master bedroom with a queen bed. The living area has a sofa sleeper. The upstairs double loft is great for children or adults and can sleep 2-6. We have a full air mattress and mats for beds or bring along additional air mattresses. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LINENS AND TOWELS. NO SMOKING PLEASE !
