The Wilderness Lodge was founded in 1969 by James and Nansi Janes (my grandparents). Jim wanted to create a unique place in the image of a european style inn. As you enter the lodge you are greeted by the main dining room and a huge round fireplace. The natural rustic feel of the hand hewn beams with the granite floor and bar instantly feel as though you have stepped back in time. There are 9 available guest rooms with a max capacity of 31. There are 7 bathrooms in the upstairs and 2 downstairs. In order to properly care for this huge property, I (Ryan), my wife Emily, and our 3 children live here on property in a separate residence that is attached to the Inn. Not only am I able to help guide you to local activities and attractions, I am also available to be your private Chef during your stay your stay so please inquire about menu options when you book. The Kitchen was fully upgraded in January 2015 with a Vulcan Convection oven and 6 burner top, Vulcan IR Salamander Broiler, Garland 36" flat top with a conventional oven and a commercial dish machine.
There is a huge selection of area attractions to fill your days. We are close to multiple wineries in the North east Area as well as a couple of fantastic brewpubs such as Southern Tier, Voodoo, and Sprague Farms. The Beaches of Presque Isle and Bemus point are both easy drives. There are 3 Casinos within an hour. When you book the Lodge for your stay you will have the entire place to yourself including all of the grounds and a full commercial kitchen. The lodge sits on 350 acres of private land and the trail network expands over 1200 acres including the neighbor property that we manaintain. Enjoy hiking on 26 miles of groomed trail, fishing in the pond, or shooting on our private ranges. (10yd, 50yd, 100yd,) There are frequently deer at the feeders in the back yard and the nights here are even more beautiful than the days because of our extremely low level of light pollution. On a clear night literally millions of stars are visible. There is a stocked fishing pond on the property (no barbed hooks please) and it is also fun to go and feed the collection of Japanese Koi. There are multiple campsites and fire pits spread around the property as well. Please allow us to prepare your group a picnic lunch and deliver it to any spot on the property that you choose.

Come stay in this newly remodeled house that still retains its rustic charm! It is only a mile off I-90 and close to Presque Isle State Park, all other Erie attractions, Walnut creek boat launch, great restaurants, and some of the best year around fishing in the world! While here you can just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet on this 8 acre property. The house has 5 bedrooms, 2 full baths, large living room/dining room, a sitting room, large screened in front porch (with large picnic table and chairs) and a large back porch. There is a roku tv in the living room with streaming capabilities and high speed wifi provided but no cable tv. The house has central air conditioning and a full kitchen with all the cook ware you should need. There .is an outside fire pit, outdoor picnic table, large back yard, trails through the woods and along Crooked Creek.. However there is no fishing allowed on the property without hiring a guide through the property owner. This is strictly enforced! There is also a secondary drive that can be used to park a boat and outside water and electric to wash and charge your boat after a day of fishing on the lake. Come and enjoy this unique property!

This rustic cabin in the woods offers an outside firepit, charcoal grill, outdoor dining area, full kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and 1 BATH. It's located near cross country and down hill ski resorts, golf resort, snowmobile trails, close to Lake Erie and Findley Lake for swimming, boating, fishing, and Lake Erie wine trail with over 50 miles of wine country.

The space
Our Cabin is located on a beautiful 10 acres, down a country gravel road. Staying here you will be getting away from all the city noise and enjoying a wonderful dose of country atmosphere. There are 2 other houses/cabins near the property that can be seen from our cabin. Curiosity of our neighbors, in recent years, unfortunately we have no control of this. Our cabin is still private and you can enjoy your vacation.

You will find there is NO cable/satellite and NO Internet, making it a wonderful place to reconnect with the family or that special loved one.

We do, however, have a smart TV that gets about 15 local channels, and will work with your own hot spot. There is also a large selection of DVDs, (please don’t steal our movies!!)

The kitchen is stocked with ample cook and bakeware. The cabin has 1 FULL BATH, 1 PRIVATE BEDROOM with a queen bed on first floor. The upstairs has an OPEN LOFT with 2 Queen beds and 2 twin beds. Remember, there is only 1 BATHROOM.

There are woods to walk in and a firepit for a romantic evening of star gazing. Wood for firepit is NOT provided.

There is a charcoal grill for you to use. Please clean it thoroughly after every use.

Well behaved, house trained, dogs are welcome for an additional $75. Max 2 dogs, sorry no other type of pets allowed.
Please read house rules for list of what is required of pet, service animal and emotional support animal.

Please note there is an extra charge per guest once you reach 4 guests.

Smoking at the cabin is outside only! Cigarette butts must be disposed of in the designated areas.

****We now offer a cleaning refund if the cabin is in the condition it was when you arrived. The amount of refund will depend on how long it takes us to complete laundry, cleaning and sanitizing.
****Due to misuse of the washer and dryer, missing and broken items in the basement, laundry will only be available if requested prior to checking in. If you request to use it, we ask that you at least start a load of towels or sheets upon checking out. And that you only enter the basement for doing laundry it is not a hangout. You will be charged for broken or missing items.
****If at any point you have more guests than you booked for, you will be charged an additional $50 per night, per guest. All “visitors” must be approved my owner before checking in.
****If you use more beds than appropriate for the amount of guests staying, you will be charged an additional linings fee of $25 per bed used.

Our pet-friendly cottage is close to Edinboro University, Allegheny College, Meadville, public golf courses, Lake Erie, French Creek, just off historic PA route 6. You’ll love my place because of 3+ acres to enjoy with walking trails, an outdoor fire pit in a quite, country setting with air conditioning in the living room.

There are 2 golf courses, 2 microbreweries, 1 winery and so much more within a 10 minute drive!

The space
This pet-friendly cottage features 2 bedrooms with an open floor kitchen/living space. Living room area has 2 couches (one is a fold down futon). Bathroom features a stand up shower. Small patio deck out front with a picnic table. Bedroom doors, kitchen wood flooring and all the trim come from a local Amish mill just up the road!

The cottage sleeps 4-5 adults.

3+ acres of land to enjoy with walking trails, a fire pit and more. We have 2 cottages on the property. There may be other guests on the property during your rental.

Our property is on natural well water. Some guests bring their own drinking water if they are not use to well water.

We have an outdoor fire pit at the rear of the property and a small fire pit on wheels near the shed. These are all first come first serve since we have 2 cottages.

There is a small gas grill on the patio in front of the cottage.

If you are passing through the area and need a one night stay, we’re happy to host you. We will not accept single night rentals from persons who just joined Airbnb or do not have at least 2 excellent reviews from prior Airbnb hosts or who are from the area and just looking to use our place to host large parties.

We’ve had mostly phenomenal guests that take good care of our property but in order to ensure the safety and overall costs for operating our cottage, we need to be more stringent on single night stay requests.

Eagle View Cottage is newly remodeled, and offers a rustic cabin feel with all the modern conveniences. Our brand new kitchen has all the amenities of home, utensils, cookware, and appliances will ensure you can prepare a wonderful meal for your guests. We have installed brand new hardwood hickory flooring through out. Our two bedrooms offer a great place to stretch out and relax from a hard day of fishing or hiking.

The space
First floor
Inside, the open-concept living area features large windows that flood the space with natural light and offer pristine views of the river. Curl up on the leather sofas with a good book or board game, perfect for those chilly evenings. The fully equipped kitchen boasts modern appliances and everything you need to prepare delicious meals. A half bathroom with towels specifically for hot tub use is located just off the kitchen.

Second Floor
A full bathroom is located at the top of the stairs. The master bedroom features a king-size bed with a private deck and outdoor, propane fireplace (Upper deck open May-Oct). A second bedroom down the hall features a queen bed, ideal for a second couple or children.

Basement
Cozy up for the big game or a movie and game night! Featuring a 65” Roku TV and surround sound, this is a great space to unwind and engage in some friendly competition! Play pool or ping pong on the convertible game table or kick back in front of the wood stove. For additional sleeping space, the couch converts to a queen-size sleeper sofa. A washer and dryer are available for your use in the laundry closet.

Outdoors
Step outside and let nature be your playground. Cast a line from the gravel island, or launch our complimentary kayaks/canoes (June-Sept only) for a peaceful paddle down the river. As the day winds down, gather around the fire pit for s'mores and stargazing. *A signed liability waiver is required for the use of any watersports equipment.*

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house and riverfront property, with the exception of two locked owner’s storage closets (second floor and basement).

Outside, two separate outbuildings (garage and pole barn) are locked, but access may be requested for temporary boat/RV storage.

Other things to note
Outdoor campfire area & firewood: The fire pit in the yard is available for your enjoyment (seasonal). Firewood is stacked nearby and provided for your use.

Water Sports: 2 adult kayaks, 2 youth kayaks, and a paddleboard are available for your use on the river (June-Sept, water-level pending). Canoes may also be available if requested prior to your arrival. Be sure to bring river shoes or hiking sandals. A liability waiver for all members of your party will need to be signed prior to guest access.
If you’re new to paddling, we recommend booking a float trip with French Creek Adventures, a canoe & kayak rental service in Cambridge Springs.

Bugs: This is rural Pennsylvania, where summers can be hot and humid. You’re surrounded by the beautiful natural world and one of the most biologically diverse waterways in the eastern US. With that, if you’re planning to pursue outdoor activities, please expect to encounter some insect life (pollinators, mosquitos, mayflies, etc). We recommend keeping the cabin doors closed and bringing your preferred insect repellent.

The space
Experience peace , the outdoors with warm rustic relaxation in this 3 bed 2 bath cabin that sleeps 12. On a secluded 10 acre lot set back off the road . We spent the last a year doing a full remodel on this cabin to try and give it the warm and cozy feeling you get when you are in a full cabin in the woods. With 10 acres of trails and woods steps away from the back door as well as historic North East PA 7 miles away filled with some of the best winerys in the country . Peak & peak ski resort and conference center 13 miles away less than 20 minute drive as well as wilderness lodge cross country ski resort 12 miles away there are plenty of activities for winter fun. Snowmobile trail head 1.3 miles down the road plenty of parking for trailers , boats and guest's. The cabin comes fully furnished , with linens, basic toiletries, and amenities. Coffee, reverse osmosis, drinking water and ice from private well provided, as well as full size washer and dryer setup .

Spend the day out and about in Erie at the Milcreek mall ,splash lagoon or presque isle downs casino all about 15 minutes away and come back to this secluded getaway and unwind after the days activity's . The cabin is far away from everyone but close to everything .
