The Lake Erie “Beatnik Bungalow" features tons of retro & mid century modern charm. The two bedroom 853 sq. foot cottage is literally built right into the hill side. Features include large windows for lots of natural sunlight, 70” smart TV, dining area for 4, fully appointed kitchen, full bath, 1 king bed, and 2 XL Twin beds.

Our Neighborhood:

A short walk from our front door you will find many amenities for outdoor activities. Freeport Beach is a lifeguarded public swimming spot on Lake Erie. You can also immerse yourself in searching for beach glass aka “Lake Erie diamonds”. Be sure to stick around for one of our breathtaking world class sunsets.

Feel free to bring your kayaks if you’d like to explore Lake Erie & its coastline. You could put in here at the beach & leave your car in the public parking lot.

Adjacent to the beach is Hallie Reed Park. Here you will find pavilions, picnic tables, BBQ grills, volleyball courts, swings, & a playground. There are also restrooms here.

16 Mile Creek runs alongside of Hallie Reed Park and empties directly into Lake Erie. This is a very popular destination for steelhead fishing.

Just south of our street is “BicyclePA Route Z” Mostly using Route 5, this trail follows the Lake Erie shoreline for 45-plus miles and connects New York’s Seaway Trail to the Ohio border. This route is not a separate paved trail, but rather a widened berm alongside the road that offers space for cyclists.

And onto the good stuff, Lake Erie Wine Country! Consisting of 24 boutique wineries that are open year round on a 50 mile span along the southern shore of Lake Erie between North East, PA & Silver Creek, NY. With award winning wines, gift shops, & special events. There are over 30,000 contiguous acres of luscious grape vineyards out this way. Our wineries, lodging, dining, & attractions support this unique and beautiful region.

Our bungalow is easily accessed from I-90 interstate near the intersection of Rt. 5 & Rt. 89. It is on a small private dead end lane off of the main thoroughfare. Some of our neighbors are year round residents ranging from young kids to retirees so please be mindful of your driving speeds & after-hours noise levels. You might also even hear some chickens in the neighborhood (we recommend buying eggs from their roadside stand).

Getting around:

The house features adequate parking for 2-3 cars or a detached boat trailer if storage is needed. It is a small windy dead end lane. Additional day time parking can be found at the end the main road by Freeport Beach. The Beatnik Bungalow is literally built into the hillside. The rustic stairs leading up to our front door are made of railroad ties, gravel, & locally sourced flagstone. The steps can be a little irregular in height and depth so please keep that in mind when traversing.

Welcome to the Bluff! We're looking to make your family vacation one to remember. Our Two bedroom, two bath house is located on the bluff overlooking beautiful Lake Erie. The many amenities will be sure to make you feel right at home. The master bedroom with queen bed and attached master bath has plenty of room to stretch out and get a great nights sleep. The room is equipped with a 42 inch flat screen TV with dvd player, a window air conditioner is available in both bedrooms as well as the living room. The nook inside the master bedroom is complete with a comfortable couch to sit and relax and enjoy a good book and a cup of coffee while overlooking the lake and all of God's beautiful creation. The second bedroom features bunk beds, a full size bed on the bottom and a twin size on the top. This bedroom also has a 19 inch flat screen tv and dvd player. The full second bath is located just off the bedroom. Our fully equipped kitchen has all the utensils and dishes to help you prepare a great meal. The spacious living room is equipped with a 42 inch flat screen tv, dvd player and wifi is also available. Plenty of board games are on hand should you encounter children who are 'bored'. Our house is also equipped with a washer and gas dryer to add to the convenience of your stay. The outdoor features include a natural gas BBQ and campfire ring. The house is fully remodeled with the latest trends and styling of the day and has a cozy zen feeling throughout. Ample street parking and back patio for guests to enjoy, complete with gas grill. The guest room has a queen sized bed, dresser, desk, refrigerator and all of the regular comforts of a fully furnished bedroom included. It has a full bathroom directly across the hall for your use.

My house is at the center of it all. Close to Presque Isle (15 minutes), Frontier Park (10 minutes away), downtown (12 minutes) which has the library, art museum, dock with lookout tower, restaurants, shopping, and several microbreweries. If you travel a bit farther, you can explore the wineries along the wine trail or go search for beach glass. January, February and March are cold and snowy which is perfect for skiing and snowboarding. There are several locations to do both about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes away. When the spring and summer hits, it is non-stop. Every Thursday in the summer there is a "block party" where the city shuts down a block and hosts bands and concessions. There are bike nights and classic car shows every week as well. Starting in July we hold "8 Great Tuesdays," free concerts at the Liberty Park Amphitheater (5 minutes from the house). Beer on the Bay happens in July. In August there is Jazz Fest which is a 10 minute drive from the house. In the fall there is a weekend wine festival where several wineries from the region gather for taste testings. There is so much to do, I could never list it all.

The 2 large bathrooms each have a shower, toilet, sink separated by a locking door to another sink providing 4 sinks total. There is also an optional rear entrance to the 2nd floor out back.

The 1st floor is very spacious with a living room, dining room, and kitchen. Kitchen features 2 full size refrigerators, a single serve Keurig coffee maker, and plenty of cabinet and counter space. Dining room features a very nice 6 person maple dining table and chair set and 2 lounge chairs. Living room simply features 2 lounge chairs and table with lamp. As you will see in the pictures, we chose to not feature TVs in the common areas in effort to promote privacy and quietness throughout the home. We strive to create a quiet and safe place to retreat home too.

Outside you will find a front porch and rear yard which features a nice picnic table to enjoy during the summer months.

24hr lighting is featured at all entrances, common areas, and stairwells for safety and convenience.

This is a shared boarding house in which we rent out private bedrooms only. Each guest gets a personal code to the lock for the room they rent. They will also get a code for the outside door entrance . Shared between all guest is 1st floor kitchen, basement kitchen dining room , and family room with TV all in pictures. The basement laundry is shared a washier and dryer. This room shares a bathroom with 3 other guests. The basement has expoxy floor and a small kitchenette.

Guest have personal and private access to 1 bedroom that they rent. They have shared bathroom with one other bedroom. This unit shares a bathroom with 2 or 3 guests depending on occupancy. The bathroom has a stand up shower. The kitchen , dining room, family room and laundry are shared by all guests and are stocked with cooking supplies. Outside basketball hoop, parking, fire pit are shared by all guests . Each room has its own private TV.

During your stay
you can reach use via app at any time , generally don't answer between 10pm and 7 am.

Other things to note
We ask that guest our respect to each each other's needs and keep the noise level to noise inside your room. We do ask quiet hours between 11 PM and 7 AM. No laundries to be done during this time., we also asked guest to respect noise levels during the day because some people work different shifts. We get many professional workers using this as a place to stay some people work second or third shift. No smoking inside. No loud noise. No overnight guests.

I am in a very convenient location. I am about 10 minutes from 90% of activities in Erie.

The house is fully remodeled with the latest trends and styling of the day and has a cozy zen feeling throughout.

The guest suite is a perfect place for a zen retreat. The room is styled in minimalist form paired with lush carpeting, drapes, bedding and contemporary chandelier. The room boasts a queen sized platform bed, writing desk, air purifier, humidifier, blue tooth speaker and luggage racks. Down your private hallway, step into a spa-like bathroom complete with free standing tub and separate shower with dual shower heads. Ample street parking and back patio for guests to enjoy, complete with gas grill.

We have kitties, so please be an animal lover!

My house is at the center of it all. Close to Presque Isle (10 minutes), Frontier Park (a park with a running trail that also shows movies outside in August on Friday evenings - 5 minutes away), downtown (12 minutes) which has the library, art museum, dock with lookout tower, restaurants, shopping, theaters (stage, not movie), baseball, basketball and hockey games, concerts and comedians, and several microbreweries. If you travel a bit farther, you can explore the wineries along the wine trail or go search for beach glass. Uber rides to most of these places are between $5-8 (does not include surge pricing however).

January, February and March are cold and snowy which is perfect for skiing and snowboarding. There are several locations to do both about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes away. When the spring and summer hits, it is non-stop. Every Thursday in the summer there is a "block party" where the city shuts down a block and hosts bands and concessions. There are bike nights and classic car shows every week as well. Starting in July we hold "8 Great Tuesdays," free concerts at the Liberty Park Amphitheater (5 minutes from the house). Roar on the Shore and Beer on the Bay also happen in July. In August there is Jazz Fest which is a 10 minute drive from the house. In the fall there is a weekend wine festival where several wineries from the region gather for taste testing's. There is so much to do, I could never list it all.

Our home was built in 1907 and we have filled it with lots of fun, unique antiques! Our home is just blocks from downtown Erie. Close to lots of amenities and attractions. Some include Waldameer amusement park, Hamot and St Vincent hospitals, Bayfront convention center. 15 minutes from the Erie International Airport, 15 minutes from Presque Isle State park, 15 mintues from LECOM and only 8 mintues from the Erie Insurance Arena downtown. We also share our home with some furry friends.

All bedrooms are upstairs. There is a shared bathroom upstairs as well as a half bath in the main entryway. This room features a double bed, air conditioner(April-Oct), and a wall mounted tv. We do live here. This is not a listing for the entire house.
