We use security cameras to monitor our driveway; there are no recording devices of any kind inside or pointed directly at any living space.

6010 Canal Street, originally constructed in the 1880, is located in the heart of downtown Peninsula, and is very private, comfortable and quiet. It retains its historic charm while providing modern conveniences to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. The house is filled with sunlight during the day, and the original hardwood floors, painted woodwork, exposed brick and lighting create a warm and cozy retreat at night. The large kitchen and the dining room provide great spaces for cooking & dining, playing board games or simply spending quality time together. The living area and front porch overlook the Cuyahoga River and Towpath Trail providing a great place to relax while enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an evening a glass of wine. The kitchen has been remodeled as of January/February 2025 and includes induction cooktop, built-in convection oven/microwave and many other conveniences. Photos will be posted in late February as renovations are completed.

6010 Canal Street is situated in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and a perfect base for your getaway. It has direct access to the Towpath Trail, Buckeye Trail and Cuyahoga River. It is a 1-minute walk to the shops of Peninsula; 2-minute walk to the Winking Lizard restaurant (a great food and selection of beers and whiskeys); Fishers Cafe & Pub; Century Cycles bike rental; and Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad station, Catholic, Methodist and historic non-denominational churches, and 4-minutes to the Lock 29 trail head, G.A.R. Hall (Civil War museum and concert hall), Peninsula Art Academy or Peninsula Public Library (for books and dvds).

The host was very responsive and kind." - "I sought after a rental home for a long weekend that would allow me to visit with family. I loved the location of this charming home! It was perfect for my mom and son to join me for a bite at the two local restaurants, followed by a hike on the towpath. There were a few things I had to contact the owner on and he was very responsive and helpful. The house is definitely historic, which I love! Be prepared for creaky floors and the dings and dents that come with age. However, very comfortable, the HVAC kept up during my first day which was near 90 degrees, and the home was well stocked with everything you could need. My favorite was the sanitizer wipes. I always like to wipe down light switches, pull knobs etc. The beds were comfy and the furniture in the house was well appointed. I always like to share positive and any downsides for future rental seekers. It’s tough to label anything as negative but if I had to, I’d say the parking could be troublesome if you have more than two cars. We maneuvered one afternoon when both my mom and son stopped by. It’s doable. The basement, like in any older home, has some moisture which you can smell as you enter the home. We did arrive after a huge rain so this may not even be a thing typically. I’m thankful when people keep the historic charm alive in homes like these. I’m even more thankful when people share them! Kudos to Paul for doing both. Thanks!"

Go east and in 10 minutes you will be in the town of Hudson, which has excellent renowned restaurants, a Heinens grocery store, and a wide variety of shops. You will find everything from women’s high fashion clothing to a charming old bookstore to a classic board games shop. You will also find a gastric pub and an exceptional wine cellar restaurant.

Drive north and in two miles you will be able to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and tubing at Boston Mills / Brandywine Ski Resort.

Head south and in 12 minutes you will find Hale Farm and Village, as well as Blossom Music Center where you can hear a variety of musical artists, including the world renowned Cleveland Orchestra. Drive a little further to experience the impressive Stan Hewet hall.

- "We had a sibling reunion in Peninsula. There were four couples, so we each had our own bedroom. The rooms (although two were on the small side) were clean and comfortable each with their own bathrooms. The kitchen was very functional and the dining room easily accommodated all of us. The common areas were comfortable and the amenities such as books, games, and area info were plentiful. The laundry is a great bonus. The location can't be beat as it is a short walk to the restaurants and shops in Peninsula as well as easy access to the national park. The hosts were very communicative and took care of the one very minor issue we had promptly. One thing to be aware of is that the only bathrooms in the house are those associated with the bedrooms, so no common area half bath on the first floor or the like."

Less than a mile from the quaint shops and artists of Peninsula as well as the towpath/bike-path, most of the best trials in the park are within a 10 minute drive.

If you appreciate nature, you will love the large windows and private location and a large front and back porch. Walk the nature path that circles the meadow to find the rare Green-fringed Orchids, nesting Blue-winged Warblers, frequent deer and coyote sightings, and much more.

This house is lived-in by the owner some months, so the many closets may be locked. A large-screen TV has a basic cable package included. Wifi is provided. Fresh sheets and towels provided, and all kitchen essentials are available as well.

This house isn't “polished.” Some of the drawers don’t open perfectly smoothly, some floorboards might squeak, there are boards behind the house for a construction project, etc. I LOVE the house, but it’s not a newly constructed luxurious place by any means. It’s being converted from a humble 1970’s home to something cleaner and more modern. Think simple rustic beauty, not luxury. It's only Motel 6 quality materials in some cases (floors, counters, fridge, trim), but with good minimalist design taste and a beautiful location.

The backyard has a sudden drop-off and is not suitable for children.

VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT

THE PARTIES HERETO, IN CONSIDERATION OF THESE PRESENTS, AGREE THAT:
1. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: GUEST must accurately disclose occupancy including the number of adults, children and animals that will occupy said rented premises in the booking data provided through the online platform. That determines the maximum occupancy at all times and applies to day visitors and children as well. Unless otherwise approved by your HOST, occupancy over the indicated capacity may result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of amounts paid.
2. NO SMOKING or Vaping or illegal drugs of any kind will take place in or on the premises. Violation of this will result in a $500 charge. Vaping or smoking outside with windows and doors closed is accepted. GUEST is liable for the full cost to remove any odor from the home in the case that it exceeds the above charge.
3. NO ANIMALS of any description will be kept in or on premises without prior approval by HOST. * Animal Addendum is required with this contract for approval of pets, emotional support or service animals.
4. DAMAGE POLICY & INSURANCE– Guests must select either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver. The refundable security deposit will be held for 7 days post check-out and will be refunded provided there are no damages. The damage waiver is recommended.
There will be no charges in the case that there is no:
A) damage to property, its contents or furnishings,
B) dirt, trash or other mess requiring excessive cleaning
C) There is no negligent damage due to inclement weather. It is GUEST’S responsibility to secure items on premises in the case of inclement weather or outside conditions such as outdoor umbrellas, or any other item that may blow away or be damaged by high winds, or other inclement weather.
D) any other costs incurred by your Host because of your stay. Any damage to the Vacation Rental or its contents must be reported before check-out.
E) GUEST is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or the local law enforcement.
F) No linens are lost, stained, or damaged.
G) The unit is left locked and secured when unoccupied.
To ensure that the proper party is held responsible GUEST must inform management within 24 hours of arrival of any pre-existing damage or issues or may be held responsible for any cost involved in repair to be taken from the security deposit.
Damage not covered by, or exceeding the coverage limit of, the accidental rental damage insurance, Security Deposit, or booking platform coverage, is your full responsibility. In the case that an insurance claim must be file with homeowner's insurance, the guest is liable to pay the deductible. You grant your HOST the right to be reimbursed via the booking platform or your credit card for any such damages, including, but not limited to, additional cleaning fees. If the booking platform refuses reimbursement, HOST has the right to pursue reimbursement by reasonable means including small claims court and/or police report. HOST does not make a habit of filing claims or requiring reimbursement for small expenses under $50.
5. CLEANLINESS– You are expected to treat the entire premises with respect, keeping in mind that this is an individual’s home and you are a house guest. Even if a cleaning fee was charged, you are expected to leave the premises in a clean, neat and orderly condition to allow our cleaners to provide a thorough clean in the very short window between guests. Management must be notified within 24 hours of arrival if unhappy with conditions upon arrival.

The kitchen came stocked with everything needed except kitchen towels. Some of us are light sleepers and would have preferred blinds on all the windows including the small ones above the beds. That is a very minor thing though and we would definitely love to stay again! Thank you for a lovely long weekend!"

Close to Blossom Music Center and a couple miles down the street from Boston Mills Ski Resort. We are 25 miles to Cleveland, 15 minutes from Akron and easily accessible to all highways. The property has a hot tub, 2 Tiki bars, patio and a deck. It has a gourmet kitchen, full bath, two bedrooms with a King, queen and twin. A professional massage chair sits in the King suite for long days on the trails. Also our cancellation rate looks high, only because during the eclipe we got double booked and kept the first one even though the second one was for more $$ on this site. Our stay is open 100% all year round so rest assured if you get a booking, it will be kept.

This is a 3 room suite in half of the lower level of our raised ranch. The suite has its own entrance & private fenced in patio with a small yard area. Please note that we occupy the main level & there is a sewing space & workshop on the other side of the lower level. You will hear footsteps, our dog Daisy occasionally barking & other sounds of everyday life in a home. The water filtration system & pump are located in the laundry area & will run occasionally as water is used.

Our occupancy is limited to & best suited for 2 adults or an adult and child older than 12.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire suite & patio area. There is a kitchen sink available for meal cleanup located in the laundry/utility area.
**The laundry machines are not available at this time.

Guests who are comfortable with dogs are welcome to wander the yard & garden. There is also a firepit for guest use located on the hill in the front yard of the house. Please let us know if interested & we can provide firewood.

Other things to note
We’re excited to share our special place in the park with other nature lovers! We welcome guests to explore the yard & woods beyond the fence. Please be aware that we do have an older American Bulldog/Pitty mix named Daisy. She loves visitors & can be a loud & exuberant greeter, but she is a sweet & easy old lady. She has full run of the back yard & will sometimes come to investigate & say “Hi” outside the Airbnb fence if you’re on the patio.

*As noted earlier & per our short term rental permit with the village, our space is small, cozy & limited to 2 adults or an adult & child 12 or older. We love children but for safety reasons, can’t accommodate those under 12. We welcome you to message if you’re traveling with an infant!

Peninsula is a quaint village in Northern Summit County, Ohio, United States with a population of 600 and is part of the Cleveland - Akron Metropolitan Area. Located in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Peninsula has many hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Cycling is extremely popular here, with bike rentals (Century Cycle) 1/2 mile away for those who prefer to travel without their bikes. The Blossom Music Center is conveniently located on its outskirts. The Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail runs through the village just west of downtown, and many cyclists and hikers stop for refreshments as it's the midway point between Akron and Cleveland.

There are two restaurants in the village (Fisher’s Café and The Winking Lizard) within walking distance which serves well the needs of the most distinguished beer aficionados. The quaint city of Hudson is 5 miles away with numerous restaurants, shops and bars.

Our air-conditioned guest house is a two-story home, which may be difficult for those who have issues with stairs (bedrooms and bath are on the second floor). It has a fully-equipped kitchen including many small appliances as well as laundry facilities. We are located on the Cuyahoga River well off the street in an area that is full of wildlife, notably deer and a large variety of birds.

Amish Country with its peaceful and pastoral views as well as tourist areas, can be reached in about 40 minutes.

The charming apartment is located in historic downtown Peninsula, ohio. Nestled in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park/forest it is walking distance to restaurants ,shopping, train depot and bike rentals. This home is within walking distance of the beautiful Cuyahoga river. A perfect getaway to relax and explore the beautiful nature trails and the surrounding area. The national park has hundreds of miles of hiking trails, biking trails, river walks, kayaking and amazing waterfalls. There is also a ski resort a few miles away for winter sports.

This home features three cozy bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. The primary bedroom is complete with a plush king-size bed and a private balcony for morning coffee while the other two bedrooms are furnished with queen-sized beds. All bedrooms have blackout blinds, extra pillows and blankets, Roku TVs, and USB ports for your device charging.

The fully stocked kitchen, including spices and cooking oil, is perfect for making home-cooked meals while the dining room has ample space to fit everyone. The Brupoppy Farm & Stay is located in the heart of Boston Heights Ohio. It can sleep 5-6 people. It is a small farm with almost 8 acres. It is close to Brandywine Falls, Blossom Music, Boston Mills Center and the beautiful town of Peninsula. We are 25 miles to Cleveland, 15 minutes from Akron and easily accessible to all highways. We have two houses attached into one house. We live in the other house. They each have their own entrance. The focus is on unique amenities & hospitality.

The space
The Stay has a king, Queen, & Twin Bed. It pso had a large couch in Tv room. It sleeps 5 comfortably and the couch is large enough to act as a twin bed for one extra person. We charge 50.00 per night for one extra person. It goes for the extra preparation and cleaning. The master bedroom has a professional zero gravity massage chair for adult use after a hard day on the trails. Our gourmet kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need to cook and bake. My wife and I live on the property so you may see us, but we honor privacy/ or welcome introductions, we leave it up to our guests. The Tiki bars, hot tub and decks are located in the back of the property. This is where we come and go, and where we park. Although it is a shared space, we try to give our guests the utmost privacy while you are on our farm. We also have an outside area that is totally private for your needs.
We have two ponds, a wood shop, peacocks and chickens in the back of the property. If you would like to a tour we would love to show you. We also can show you were the food is to feed the fish. My wife and I are proud of our property and our goal for hosting is that you leave feeling like this is your home away from home while traveling.
We can only accommodate 2 cars per reservation per Boston Heights Ordinance.

Guest access
You can access the whole place other than the spiral staircase and the upper deck. We live in the other house and our access is in the back. We have two dedicated parking space for our guests. We want our guest to experience the farm and encourage you to check out the landscape and we are here to help you enjoy it if needed. We have private areas for guest only and the Tiki bar and Hot tub are shared spaces. We are not interested in ruining your time in shared spaces, we come and go from the back as we live on the property. So please when booking with us know that you will see us as we like to at least greet you, make sure you get in with no issues, and can accommodate any reasonable request. This is a quiet area and the back is private for your party to have a wonderful intimate time in the tiki bars and fire pit. Under no circumstances are other people allowed to be invited over or any loud parties.

Other things to note
We cannot accommodate animals in our house. Our daughter has a SEVERE allergy to animal hair and skin, we cannot make any exceptions. If you bring a "service" animal to our property we reserve the right by law to ask what service the dog has been trained to perform. Please see difference between ADA service dog vs emotional support. https:// We encourage you to look up the ADA guidelines for service vs emotional support guidelines. For our own healthy and safety we want to be upfront to all guests about the impact animals have on our property. If a dog appears not to be a "service" dog, we will contact Airbnb and ask you to leave without refund. We understand disability intimately well and the life altering ramifications it can have. Two years ago my wife was in a horrific car. accident is now permanently disabled. She easily could’ve gotten a site dog for the site that she lost, but due to the allergy of our family that is not possible. The reason we put this in our listing so blatant is because we have had two incidences where they were clearly not service dogs. The destruction and clean up is more than we would like to take on for our property. Also we feel it is important for guests who have allergies to know they are in a clean space. Thank you for your understanding.

If something is not ideal please give us a chance to see if there is a way to make it better. . If you need something prior to your stay let us know so we can be prepared for your visit. We recently were asked if we had a coffee grinder and we didn’t .. so we got it before our guests came! If you need something it is most likely it will benefit someone else… we appreciate when guests are honest, so we can make your visit great. We strive for perfection, but sometimes that is not always possible depending on guests expectation. We want you to feel like you are staying in a private resort while here in Boston Heights. We take your happiness seriously and are committed to you the minute you book with our farm. This is also a very kid family place.

Lastly we pay the Airbnb fee (15%) in our price so there are no surprises at the end or additional charges for our guests other than cleaning fee. Please keep that in mind when comparing on price.

This space is packed with charm. It has a rustic feel, the walls are wood, open beams, wide plank pine floors. There are windows a plenty with loads of natural light. It has a wonderful view of the Cuyahoga River and the train runs literally right outside the property! This is an open concept area and better for family rental or a single couples if privacy is a requirement. Sorry, there are no parties permitted at this property.
