Our Great Lake Retreat Villa is situated mere minutes from all Port Clinton activities such as Fishing, Boating, Eats & Drinks, Night Life, Beaches, Lighthouses, Family Fun & more!

Close to: Cedar Point & The Lake Erie Islands (Put In Bay / Kelleys Island ), Marblehead and Port Clinton Lighthouses, Birdwatching and multiple State Parks.

With a mix of Farmhouse Inspiration throughout, we've added some subtle Nautical flare to the home and created Port Clinton's lone Great Lake Escape Pool Home / Villa, and believe the Guest House is a GREAT addition vs. a standard vacation rental. The Guest House allows multiple families to enjoy additional privacy vs. standard rentals, or a place for Mom/Dad or Grandpa/Grandma to either escape from the grandkids....or to simply turn in early.

Beds are comfortable and rooms are simple to relax in, with the Queen bedroom in the main home offering leisurely reading options and even a few lotions throughout the year.

Having 2.5 baths across the 2 Living Spaces (Main House + Guest House) provides ample opportunity to prepare for the day, and to refreshen up after a long day enjoying the area, with the privacy everyone expects from home (even while sharing a vacation rental).

The GEM is the Outdoor area. The Dry Dock area (patio) and In ground pool provide SOOOO much room to spread out and enjoy the fun and the sun.

The Guest House is a bonus that cannot be overlooked. It provides a separate living space for any couple in your family. Young or Old, some simply like the seclusion and will enjoy being able to turn in early for the night. Guest home is located just off the pool, and is a full amenity (Full Kitchen / Full Bath ) offering. FULL AC of course in the Guest House as well!

Very cool and clean, but keep in mind we're offering this unique experience in a Country Setting. Dad will likely want to skim the pool in the morning to keep it crisp and clean during your stay (not necessary, but we do have the same things floating in the air as any other country setting (bugs, leafs, pollen or even an occasional Mayfly).

Please Please Please - follow those pool rules. We want you to have a great stay, but not at the expense of anyone's safety. No Children in pool without adult supervision. Let’s repeat that, children must be supervised at all times while swimming.

Grounds - We would love to see folks enjoying the property, we only ask that you stay clear of the Pole barn as it represents part of the home upkeep and Maintenance (Lawncare etc), and that area is not part of your stay.

Front porch, front and side yards are great for a walk or for the kids to burn off some energy!

We are located less than 1 mile from the PC City limits, a hop, skip and jump from the home!

BONUS - NO Direct NEIGHBORS (closest being a few hundred yards away with an empty lot between their property and ours...... play your music, entertain and play around in the pool and play your music at your level! (no direct neighbors to bother).

Short drive down the road to Jolly Rogers (for Perch and Walleye!) and Slaters Food and Spirits, The Jet Express (to Put In Bay) as well as our local Port Clinton shops!

Enjoy places like "Ala Carte", "Northern Exposure" (great gift shop) as well as places like "The GristMill", "The Bait House", "Docks Beach House", "Bootleggers", "McCarthy's Irish Pub" and "Slaters Food and Spirits"!

Did I mention the newly renovated Jolly Rogers Restaurant for local Perch / Walleye Dinners and more!! I did....but its exceptional!

You're about 2 miles from downtown Port Clinton, and a Beautiful walk along the Lake Erie Shores! I recommend spending an evening on foot, seeing where your feet decide to take you!

Hop in your car for a Short Drive to the Marblehead Lighthouse (15 mins), Cedar Point (25 mins) and all the fishing options you could possibly want (plenty of on shore spots for Dad / Daughter fishing days, and those who simply like to walk and cast. I'm an avid fishermen, just ask!

- "This was our first time staying in this area and really enjoyed all the fun things/yummy places to eat! The house was in a great location and close to everything you’ll need. We had fun at the art fair and local fishing on Lake Erie. The house itself was perfect! There were 6 adults and 5 kids between the age of 12 and 3. We had plenty of space between the main house and the guest house. Everything was stocked up (coffee, creamer, a bowl of snacks, bathroom toiletries, lots of games, pool floats, etc). All the extra details were much appreciated and not something you often see when renting! The owners were quick to respond and helpful when we had questions! The house was in great shape, very clean, and the beds were very comfortable! The pool was also very clean and perfect to lounge in. We also enjoyed the big deck and yard. Couldn’t be happier with our stay and if we come out this way again, we would love to stay here again!"

Our Vacation Villa originated with my parents 35 years ago and has been enjoyed by the whole family every summer when they came to the Huron area from their winter home in Orlando, Florida. My husband, children, my siblings and their children would converge every summer to go to Cedar Point, take the ferry to the Islands and golf on the Sawmill Creek's golf coarse. The best part of our time together, however, was sitting around the villa laughing and enjoying everyone's company. The open space design allowed us all to be together and never miss a joke! When the grand kids got restless we would take walks to the private beach along Lake Erie's shore. My husband and I were so fortunate to be able to purchase this beautiful piece of property and keep the legacy of hospitality that my mother and father began years ago. My mom is back in Florida and thrilled to see the renovations and updated changes we made. Even though my dad passed away three years ago, his love for his family has inspired us to create an atmosphere that will bring enjoyment for many families to come. Welcome to Middle Bass Island! This newly remodeled Villa is great for a family fun get away where you can explore the island(s) or for a couple (or two or three) wanting to get away. Located on St. Hazards Resort, there's a community pool, community hot tub, restaurant & Tiki bar within walking distance. Sleeps 7 in beds or 8 (1 on fold out bed). Beds are comfortable and newer! Full deck area for entertaining or hanging out w/ a fire pit in the yard area. 4 restaurants and Historic Lonz Winery museum with the Island Grind Coffee Shop & State Park are all within walking distance. Brand new flooring throughout Villa, new cabinets, completely remodeled kitchen with custom beautiful Bass Island counter tops. Bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, all new bed linens, comfortable new pillows, Gas Grill, coffee, spices, basic condiments, complimentary 1 Gallon of water (the resort has well water, we would recommend bringing water or buying water at the General Store) and other amenities included. The General Store is a 6 minute walk if you need to purchase anything. The kitchen is fully functional where you could prepare a lot of meals if you prefer to eat in or outside on the spacious deck.

Hazzards resort has laundry facilities, extra shower facilities, extensive indoor/outdoor lounge with scheduled entertainment.

JF. Walleyes Restaurant https://www.jfwalleyes.net and the General Store https://www.facebook.com/mbigeneralstore/ are within walking distance - 5 to 10 minutes. Walleye's has good food and a beautiful atmosphere with a Blue Lagoon where you can cool off, listen to music or just relax by the Blue Lagoon in the sun. JF. Walleyes also has a boutique where you can purchase souvenirs and Middle Bass Island clothing.

JF. Walleye's & Hazards resort both have golf cart rentals. Neither place will accept reservations for golf cart rentals, but they have several golf carts for rent.

There’s a water taxi for trips from Middle Bass to Put-N-Bay. Inter-Island Charters is located next to the Miller Ferry boat. They post their weekly schedule on Facebook.

Miller Ferry Boat is the only Ferry from the mainland (Catawba Is/Port Clinton) that comes to Middle Bass Island. You can bring a vehicle, but you must schedule it ahead of time - at least two weeks before your trip. If you do not want to bring a vehicle, our Villa is within walking distance to all 3 restaurants/stores on the island. It's .82 miles away (20 minute walk) and you can cut through Lonz Winery State Park & walk along the State Marina to save time. If you walk, we would recommend a rolling suitcase and maybe a wagon, depending on how much stuff you bring. - "First, Michelle and Cliff were the best hosts! They made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us often. They were even worried when we got lost. The house was very clean as were the towels and linens. We had enough silverware and dishes even though all we needed was coffee. Stay at La Casa Verde (Villa #48) whether it is with family or friends! It is the most spacious villa (an extra living room area) in a Caribbean-style resort of colorful villas that includes a pool, hot tub, Tiki bar, live music & a view of the lake! It easily accommodates adults and has the homey feel and space that is great for children also. However, we apologize, we do not allow any pets under any circumstances. Our Villa is just a quick walk to the St. Hazard's Restaurant, Tiki Bar & pool area. Middle Bass Island also has a few other places within walking distance to eat and drink: The Coffee Grind &The Prohibition (Coffee & Bar), JF Walleyes (Restaurant with tropical wading pool) and The General Store (General Store with restaurant/bar). We also have a lake view! If you are interested in visiting Put-In-Bay (South Bass Island) for the day, it is just a short ferry trip over!
As you are staying on an island, we try to provide you with as much as possible to make your trip and packing easy! We provide a variety of coffee K-cups, a variety of easy breakfast foods, fully-made beds, toiletries (toilet paper, soap, shampoo/conditioner, towels, washcloths, and more). We are available if you have any questions before or during your trip. Also, we will be in contact prior to your trip to help you with ferry information to get to Middle Bass Island!
Bedroom info: Master bedroom has 1 queen size bed with built in closets. Bedroom 2 has queen size bunk beds (room for 4). Loft has 2 twin beds with sturdy ladder/steps to go up. There is an extra cot in the loft closet. Front living room: 2 love seat couches, 3 chairs, electric fireplace and TV (YouTube TV available for guests), Kitchen/Dining area has small stove, refrigerator, coffee bar/drink area, small table with 3 chairs, bar top table with 2 stools, glider chair :) Bathroom has small sink, toilet and shower/tub. It is small. There are other areas available to shower on the island for larger groups. Outdoor patio area with 6 chairs, 1 bench seat and hammock & view of the lake.

- "The house was impeccable and in a great location with the community pool in back and the lake only a short walk. We enjoyed fishing in the early mornings and playing games on the screened in porch in the evenings. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. I do wish it had be mentioned that construction was going on. Nearby streets were being paved and construction vehicles were passing by frequently during the week. While the majority of neighbors were very friendly, we did encounter a couple individuals with skeptical attitudes. We were questioned on several occasions about things like where we were parking and why we were using the neighbor's gas grill (which he invited us to use). Overall, our week at the house was relaxing and enjoyable."

Welcome to beautiful Bay Point. This new villa is a great getaway for individuals or the entire family. Clubhouse access 100 feet away included with an outdoor pool, workout room, sauna, etc. This new construction 3 bedroom unit is neat and clean, ready to host your Vacationland getaway retreat. The open concept living area contains a sofa that can double as a pull out couch sleeping space if need be. Large open kitchen/living combo which is great for enjoying time with your fellow travelers. In unit laundry and an attached one car garage. Wifi and roku televisions will keep your entire group connected and entertained. A great place to relax after enjoying the many local area attractions!

*A guest pass is available in advance through Bay Point should you want to use the beach, restaurants, or marina facilities. This Waterview Villa has its own clubhouse just 100 feet away and includes an outdoor pool, grills, social room, gym, saunas, etc. This is all included with your stay. A key fob will be located in the unit for guests to access the clubhouse. ($350 fee if lost or unreturned).

This gorgeous villa is practically brand new. 3 large bedrooms including one with a bunk bed (full and twin) and pull out trundle (room sleeps 4), one with a queen bed, and the primary with a king bed. (Rooms sleep 8). The large open kitchen/dining/living area is a great space for friends and family to be together. The kitchen will be fully stocked with dishware for 8 settings. A keurig coffee machine will greet you on those vacation mornings with basic coffees provided. In unit laundry is available for guest use. There is a one car garage attached. The front deck is a great spot to hang out and includes patio furniture for relaxing. An active bald eagle nest is within view of the deck. The clubhouse is 100 feet away and includes a pool, gathering area, workout area, and saunas. From the front deck you can listen to the lake Erie waves crash against the beach. This is a great spot to boat with Sandusky Bay and Lake Erie both accessible from the marina. Cedar Point can be seen from Bay Point and is a short 30 minute car ride or 10 minute boat ride away. The Lake Erie island ferry boats are also very close. The ferries to Put in Bay /South Bass Island are 15 minutes away while the Kelleys Island Ferry is only a 2 minute drive north. Around the corner is the most photographed lighthouse in the great lakes, the Marblehead Lighthouse. Find yourself shopping and dining at quaint downtown Marblehead. Shore Perfection is a beautiful single-story home with central air/heat, 3 bedrooms that sleeps 8, 2 full bathrooms, laundry, large kitchen with island seating, dining area, great room with a fireplace, and screened-in patio overlooking the pool with eating and lounging areas.
The primary bedroom has a king size bed and attached bathroom with large walk-in shower. The 2nd bedroom has a king size bed. The 3rd bedroom has 2 sets of bed bunks. The 2nd full bathroom is in the hallway between the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms.

The cook's kitchen has stainless steel appliances, KitchenAid mixer, Cuisinart food processor, Henckels knives, Curtis Stone cookware, large island, microwave, gas oven with conventional, convection and air fryer settings, and quartz counter tops.
