House was immaculate and well equipped for all of our needs." - "*good tech and mod cons in a roomy log cabin *good group and private spaces *scenic vistas Our home water heater conked out and we needed a semi 'staycation' because not everyone could take days off on short notice. This place was easy for our north Columbus commutes. We had great weather and the large windows let in lots of sunshine. My mother enjoyed sitting on the balcony and my sons found nearby hiking. My husband and I enjoyed the main level laundry and that there were 3 full bathrooms for the 6 of us."

This historic structure was originally a 2-story log home built in 1813. The home was used as an Inn or tavern along the Old Federal Road leading from Columbus to Springfield. The Federal Road was used prior to the construction of the National Road (AKA, Cumberland Road, or US Route 40). In 2020, I began the project of saving what I could of this old cabin. Most of the first-floor logs were rotted and/or unusable. Moreover, after more than 200 years the stone foundation was shot. Hence, the decision was made to disassemble the second floor of the original cabin and then reassemble it on a new foundation with walk-out basement. Many of the usable first-floor logs were then used as support beams or for other purposes. The cabin now has all new amenities. This rebuilt cabin overlooks Deer Creek and a 50 plus acre wetlands area. An eagle’s nest is located within the wetland area which can be seen with a good pair of binoculars. Two eaglets were born in the spring of 2023 and are now flying around the area with their parents. The property is 1 mile from I-70 and is only a 30-minute drive to Columbus, OH. The cabin has a covered porch, patio, firepit, and hot tub. Self check-in with keypad.
- "This cabinet was the perfect getaway. We came to Ohio for an event in Columbus, and the drive was not bad at all. The host was so accommodating and even gave us some tips about the scenery around the cabin. The hot tub worked great, and the cabin had all the amenities that we needed. I would highly recommend staying here, you won't regret it." - "My fiancé and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and we have nothing bad to say. The owner was super accommodating and responded fast! The cabin was cozy and had everything we could’ve wanted. Close enough to grocery stores so we didn’t even have to leave after the initial grocery run. Everything was clean and inviting, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Looking forward to our next stay here!"
