There are TWO large fire pits, surrounded by adirondack chairs, to cozy up on cool nights. No worries if you didn't earn your 'firestarter badge' - an ample, dry firewood supply is stacked near both firepits, along with firestarter logs and lighters, as well as s'mores roasting forks inside the house.

Fun Fact 1: 'The Heist' isn't just a cutesy name. This cabin, built in 1860, earned its place in Cincinnati lore for its role in a famous Rembrandt art heist (gone wrong); this 'Keystone Cops'-style caper started in 1973, at The Taft Art Museum and ended under the front porch of this cabin!

Please note, we do have a few house rules for you to follow:

We do NOT allow smoking of any kind on the property. This includes, but is not limited to, cigarettes, weed, or any type of illegal substance. If determined that smoking has occurred on the property during your stay, you as the listed guest will be subject to a $250 fine upon check out.

Per the City of Cincinnati and its ordinances, the number of people on the reservation must NOT be exceeded at any time unless otherwise approved by the host. If determined that an additional guest visited the property during your stay, you will be subject to a $500 fine upon check out.

Cameras that are on the exterior of the property are recording 24/7 and can be used to support host if needed. We have a zero tolerance policy. Please note that at anytime we find out that the connection point on the interior of the property has been adjusted, it would be subject to fine or removal from the property.

**Please do not unplug/disconnect any internet routers or boxes without first contacting us! Our unit security requires an active internet signal at all times. Unplugging any router/box without host approval result in an additional fee. The unit will also be subject to host entry to remedy the issue at our discretion.**

Rejuvenate in the sauna after a workout in the full gym. Relax on the deck off the second floor master bedroom overlooking the trees. Hike on the trails or throw out a blanket beside a bonfire beneath the stars as your pups run around, enjoying the 2+ fenced in acres. Or drive 10 minutes to Downtown Cincinnati.

There are three bedrooms with king size beds and blackout curtains. A fourth area downstairs has a queen size bed. There are 7 TVs in the home. The top floor bedroom has a PS4 and a PS5. The basement has a bar and pool table with fun bulb lights. There is a large closet downstairs capable of holding all the clothes guests could possibly bring.

The are 3 wood burning stoves and wood outside for the inside stoves. Outside, there is one small firepit near the garage. There is a large firepit over in the woods in a big open area surrounded by chairs. There is a fire table on the back deck and an outdoor heater on the top deck.

The kitchen is fully stocked with just about anything one might need.

We also have two very large birdcages, totalling roughly 7ft x 8ft. One has lovebirds and the other has doves. All are rescues. If we have any guests staying for more than a few days, we will either take the birds with us or arrange to get in briefly to feed and change water when works best for guests. Please don't bring pups that want to eat them :)

There is plenty of parking. We've had 7 cars in our driveway before.

We happily welcome pups without added fees. The more the merrier :)
