Our log cabin was completed in July of 2010 on 7.5 acres we fell in love with the first time we saw the property in March of 2009. Call 812-726-4849, check out our website turkeyhillcabinrentals. This part of southern Indiana is so unique. The view reminds us of our many trips to eastern TN. We never get tired of seeing wild turkeys and white-tailed deer walking across the front yard. Since we are a mile off the main road and at the end of the lane, no traffic passes by. Couples and families have enjoyed our cabin. With solid log construction and wood through-out, this cabin is set apart from others.
This quiet retreat area is just minutes away from a wide range of activities. Guest often comment that there is so much to do. You can enjoy Patoka Lake with all its boating, fishing, etc. Go to Indiana's playground in historic French Lick, IN. Not many small towns can offer a world class casino and golfing, indoor water park and go-carting, seasonal train rides into the Hoosier National Forest, local winery with a wonderful sample of Indiana's best wines, two historically registered hotels to tour, Paoli Peaks Snow skiing, and more.

Southern Grace Cabin is conveniently located within 2 miles of three Patoka Lake boat ramps: Painters Creek, Osborne, and Walls boat ramps. We welcome boaters and have plenty of parking space. We are also located within easy driving distance of French Lick, West Baden, Paoli Peaks, Marengo Cave, and Jasper.

427 sq ft log cabin ( NOT handicapped accessible) , sleeps 4 (queen bed downstairs & 2 XL twin beds in the loft) FIBER 1 gig Internet . For those wanting a rustic/rugged type get away with privacy but want to be close to town. Located off ST RD 56 just a 7 minute drive to French Lick! Less than 2 miles to the Donald Ross Golf Course! Smoking allowed outdoors only! Pets are allowed but there is a $25 pet fee per stay for them. Property has access to 55 wooded acreas with trails to hike. Terrain is rugged and can be challenging for some. Bathroom with step in shower. Kitchenette features apartment size refrigerator, microwave, 2 burner induction cook top, waffle maker and egg cooker. Coffee pot uses K cups (8 assorted provided per stay). Out door park style charcoal grill for the grill masters. There is a small pond on the property close to the highway. You can fish if you like. It was stocked with Hybrid bluegill & catfish recently which are growing at a slow rate as the pond is spring fed and very cool year round. There is however 1 large mouth bass who is likely to become a legend in many a fish story in the future. If you do catch him and have him mounted please let me know so I can replace him. You can also spend hours animal watching as this property has a wide variety of wildlife to be seen, a feeder is setup a short way from the cabin to draw in wildlife.. Take a walk on the 1.5 miles of rugged trails on the property (two benches are installed for relaxation). Linens and a starter kit of 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper, soap/shampoo and disposable salt/pepper shakers are furnished. Cellular service is available inside/outside the cabin when you enable wi-fi calling. Otherwise cellular service can be reached at the top of the hill behind the cabin. High speed fiber internet will allow you to stream videos, music, tv and movies on the Roku TV. You can work from the cabin if you like on your laptop or tablet.
Hwy 56 Quik mart, a rural grocery store, is 1 mile to the west providing quick and easy access to essentials, food, hunting, and/or fishing supplies. Downtown French Lick is a 7 minute drive to the east. Lots of area for parking boats or trailers. The nearest boat ramp is Lick Fork Marina which is a 15 minute drive across county roads.

Please note... There is a cave on the property with access strictly prohibited. Those with small children need to make certain they are aware they are not allowed to enter the cave as it is a small tight passage frequented by wild animals (bobcats) and is frequently flooded from rains far to the north. Also no ATVs or off road vehicles are allowed to be utilized on the property. This includes no biking on the trails. Call 812-639-4797 for questions regarding the cabin.

John’s cabin is located on an acre of land nestled in the trees with a beautiful pond in front. Doesn’t get much prettier than this setting. There is a wooded hiking trail if you want to go for a walk. It is 5 minutes from the historic town of French Lick where you will find lots of entertainment, and many restaurants. Should you bring a boat for an outing at Patoka Lake, boat parking is available right across the county road from the cabin.
The cabin has a queen bed in the loft area and a twin bed on the main floor. The loft area has stairs that are a little steep. The living room area has a pull out couch.
The cabin is professionally cleaned and sanitized between each stay with all used linens washed & dried. Shampoo, conditioner & body wash provided!

The outdoor areas were everything we envisioned and perfect for our group. The fire pit and outdoor games got a lot of use! The big kitchen was great for cooking big group meals. Sherry and Cindy were both extremely responsive all weekend. In my opinion, they hit the sweet spot in terms of giving us our space, but also checking in each day to make sure we weren't having any issues. I would highly recommend."

You will love the view of the Pond from all three deck levels as you eat your meals, sit around the fire pit, swing, relax, sunbathe, or swim in the pool. Very quiet and you have it all to yourself. From time to time, you may see deer, turkey or quail around the property. On clear nights the stars are amazing, and at times the sunrises can be spectacular. It is hard to get any better than this.

- "Three longtime female friends enjoyed peace and serenity in which to relax. Took advantage of the pool. Drove into Paoli for Superburgers ( they were) and visited French Lick and West Baden. Directions from Paoli got us lost ( mention of gravel road we passed twice would have helped). Phone call got us there. Locking code had to be changed with another phone call. Actually easier to access from French Lick. All in all a great time and lots of talking and games."

Fully furnished cabin with a full kitchen, laundry room, 2 full baths, 2 bedrooms with queen beds and satellite TV's, an open loft with 2 queen beds, ping pong table, and laundry room. Located 5 miles from French Lick where you can enjoy shopping, the casino, train museum, water park or winery to name a few. Enjoy Patoka lake in the Summer and Paoli peaks for some skiing in the Winter.

Perfect area to relax with friends/family while enjoying the sites and sounds of nature.

A few things to note - given the remote nature of this property, there is not currently internet in the area. We are on the waitlist for Starlink and hope to have it soon. Cell service can be spotty in the cabin but I usually have 1-2 bars that is good enough for texts and calls. Other phone usage can be limited. There is one large hill on the gravel county road leading back to the cabin. I take my Ford Fusion Hybrid back there all the time so access isn’t an issue outside of heavy snow conditions (4x4 recommended then) but want guests to be aware of the terrain.

Our 2 bedroom with loft cabin has all the comforts of home and can sleep up to 6. The loft bedroom with queen bed opens to the living room below. Another bedroom on the main level provides a full bed and additional sleeping space can be accommodated with the queen sized futon in the livingroom.
Use your culinary skills to create a nice home cooked meal in the fully stocked kitchen. A new charcoal grill is also located on site.
After a day of exploring return home to soak in the relaxing clawfoot bathtub and enjoy the sounds of silence.

The Lazy Lab Lodge just 5 miles from french lick Indiana the cabin is located on 9 secluded acers in the Hoosier national forest. a mile long gravel road leads you to the cabin. You will enjoy a variety of wildlife, including the occasional possum or raccoon and you will probably see a lazy lab laying around .Cabin Amenities,. 3 bedroom's king, queen and full ,two bathrooms two showers one inside and one outside,one bathtub towels, linens hair dryer provided, central heat and air, washer and dryer gas grill,fire pit with plenty of wood,fully equipped kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker. It accommodates six comfortably.No hunting allowed, the property manager lives on site. you must call the manager for weekly rates.You must be 25 or older to rent . Credit cards required for reservations. $240 per night . TV antenna only no wifi yet or satellite. Local Attractions are french lick resort and casino,golf courses,big splash adventure indoor park,FL railroad, winery, indoor karting, Paoli peaks and patoka lake or you can just enjoy the peace and quiet. Whether you're boating at Patoka Lake, yearning to just get away, reconnect with a friend, stare into a campfire, truly hear nature, or just read a book, this is the place to stay! Don't let a tiny cabin fool you, we've thought of everything you could need/want. Just bring your food and clothing!

We welcome boaters. We have boat parking and are located within 2 miles of 3 boat ramps at Patoka Lake. Please note: This is a tiny cabin and the queen bed is located in the loft. Please be sure you are able to safely climb the library ladder to enter/exit the sleeping area. The cabin is equipped with an exterior security camera. This system is a theft deterrent and monitoring system for when property is vacant.

The space
Construction completed in 1/2023, this "Barn-dominium" style two story home has a stunning three-tiered glass front that embraces the views of the lake, forest, and wildlife. Accomodating up to six guests, there are two upstairs bedrooms and a cozy loft with a panoramic view from above. Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed, Bedroom 2 has two Queen bunk beds, and the loft has a convertible euro-lounger. This peaceful retreat has all modern and top tier amenities to enjoy in total comfort and unique style. All-new furniture and mattresses, gas and electric appliances, gas fireplace, fiber optics internet w/mesh WiFi throughout. The forest is certified by Indiana's "Classified Forest & Wildlands" program. Enjoy the 3/4 mile hiking trail with benches at scenic stops along the way.

Guests are welcome to private enjoyment of the home and walking trail surrounding the aprox. 1.5 acre lake. Note that a downstairs bedroom (un-occupied) is not included in the rental.
