- "Very nice property" - "This hilltop home provided us a fabulous place to put up family members over Thanksgiving. The host is very quick to communicate & address any issues, and the property is decorated with a spectacular eye for rustic elegance. All the amenities were satisfactory or better, TVs and Internet worked well, it has a very nice coffee bar and the super-spacious kitchen gave us plenty of room to prepare holiday dishes and mingle. The beds were very comfortable (one firmer and one softer), and the outdoor space was as advertised: we easily parked 3 cars with room for more. Nestled in the trees, we saw lots of bird activity! The driveway is a bit steep but it wasn't an issue for us, and the house is privately situated in a friendly farming community in a lovely, rural part of the state, but not too far from the bustling Nashville suburbs and only a few country miles (watch out for deer & other wildlife) from the towns of White House & Gallatin, where you can meet almost any restaurant and grocery needs etc. We would absolutely recommend this charming guest suite rental to anyone staying in the area. 5 stars+!!"

After spending your day enjoying the sights and sounds of downtown Nashville and Middle Tennessee retreat to the fresh country air and serenity of this log cabin home. Sitting on a 15 acre private gated farm just 35 minutes north of downtown Nashville in the town of Cottontown, the cabin is conveniently only 10 minutes from I-65.

We have furnished the cabin with your comfort in mind. You will find a large open living area with a stone gas fireplace for chilly cozy evenings. There is a full kitchen with everything you'll need for home-cooked meals complete with a full size refrigerator and dishwasher. The main floor master bedroom features a queen size bed and private bath with jacuzzi tub. Upstairs in the loft there are three twin beds plus a rollaway bed available upon request. The loft also has a desk for guest use and a 2nd full bath with a stand up shower. A washer & dryer are also provided for your convenience. Outside you can relax on one of two porches watching the horses graze.

Around the farm you will occasionally you will see deer making their way across the pasture. You will encounter rabbits at night. Our horses may come to the fence to see who is here. Feel free to feed them carrots or apples. We also have chickens and you are welcome to walk up and visit them.

- "The owners of this location know all the little details that make guests comfortable. They have thought of everything. The cleanliness of every area of the cabin was incredible. Hooks near the shower are convenient. The shower curtain was the correct size for the area. Cotton balls, swabs, were provided along with special Makeup removal. towels. Bath towels were plentiful, fresh and fluffy. Two wall mounted medicine cabinets provided plenty of storage for toiletries, along with plenty of countertop space for essentials.. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all provided. Two full size bathrooms were clean, fully functional, attractive with beautiful granite countertops. A huge closet provides plenty of storage space. Washer and dryer were clean and conveniently placed. Hooks by the front door were handy for keys and light jackets. Kitchen had just about every gadget, appliance and utensil needed for any simple or gourmet meal. The Kroger was only 10 minutes away and there was plenty of space to store groceries. Condiments and other staples like flour, salt and sugar were available. The dining area was comfortable and cute, making it easy to abide by the rule to confine eating to that area. [TV in view of table] The hand hewn logs in the cabin were amazing and the wood grain on the ceiling was beautiful. While it was a bit chilly to enjoy the grounds, the setting was peaceful and serene. No traffic noise or bright lights. The location was ideal for quiet solitude yet close enough to city conveniences. Highly Recommended..."

- "Used the canoe, hammock, fire pit in addition to rockers and swings and window seats for reading all weekend. Soft, comfy beds. Well stocked kitchen. Close to everything. We went zip lining, to a concert in Nashville and to a huge mall with teenagers. Host is helpful and responsive. The Lodge at Pilot Knob at The Pilot Knob Retreat is the main home build in the early 1800's that has been fully restored. This 3 bedroom cabin sleeps up to 13 guests and is one of three properties on a quiet, private 3 acre lakefront estate.

The home sits on the front of the property with a lakeview and is surrounded by trees that offer the ability to explore with a short hike that leads you to the water's edge so you and your guest can enjoy time & activities by the water.

The outdoor area features 3 covered porches and a side deck. The back covered porch is oversized and overlooks the in-ground salt water pool. The exterior also has ample outdoor seating, a fire pit, and grill—perfect for an evening under the stars!

The home is designed to provided spaces for connection and restoration for you and your guests. On the main floor, you can gather in the living room for great conversation or game night, enjoy lounge time in the library, and there's plenty of room for everyone to eat a family-style meal around the big table in the dining room.

- "This house is very pretty and well maintained for a historical house. Very time appropriate pieces in the home to make it feel cozy. We really like firm beds, they were firm and comfortable. The kitchen had all the items we needed to cook with which is not typical of vacation homes so this was a nice surprise. We loved using the pool and the back outdoor seating area was nice to relax at if you wanted to stay in the shade. The owners were very responsive to emails and got back to us quickly. Only half of the grill was working, but we did bring our travel blackstone so this was not an issue for us. I did let the owners know this and they said they were in the process of buying new grills which will be a great addition to the back porch area. All of the main rooms were comfortable, however the room next to the bedroom with 2 queens that is listed as a place for little kids to stay was extremely hot so this did not work out for my grandkids. They just made a "bed" downstairs in one of the sitting areas and this worked perfect for them. The downstairs bathrooms were great and the one bathroom off the room with bunk beds was great. We didn't really use the bathroom off the 2 queen beds room due to the heat and the tub/shower area is very short with a handheld shower head. The adults were too tall for this so they just shared a bathroom with one of the other couples. When in the Nashville area with our entire family we will definitely stay here again. We really enjoyed our stay!"

Beautiful and spacious guest quarters attached to large rustic lakefront cabin, with electric fireplace, gorgeous view of the lake and beautiful wooded backyard and creek, quick scenic walk to the lake, as property is lakefront. Swimming, boating, kayaking, (canoe and and paddle board provided). Canoe and Paddle Board provided (and oars/life jackets also)--canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards can launch from lakeside at property.

The space
The guest suite/in-law quarters of this large cabin house on a wooded lot by the lake has it's own private entrance, private balcony overlooking wooded area and lake, huge bathroom, double vanity, shower, huge TV, sitting area, mini kitchenette (no sink, but with fridge, microwave, stocked with glassware, dishes, coffee maker, coffee/creamer/sweeteners/sugar provided). Bus tray provided for dirty dishes and two sink vanity, so everything you need for longer stays.

Each principal renter must be 21 years of age.

*The guest quarters are on the end of the house, separated by a laundry room and kitchen, closets, bathroom, from the main house. There is a natural sound barrier and you shouldn't be affected by other people on the other side of the house. Even "if" you hear a conversation, it would be faint and rare, and totally drowned out if you keep on a fan for white noise, and so faint that you feel that your privacy is protected. The rest of the home is rented and sometimes has guests. You will have complete privacy. The only places are the driveway, yard and laundry room.

*You have your own private entrance to your unit. To enter, you will go up a flight of stairs and enter through the door on the back deck. You don't have to walk through anyone's living room to get to your space. You have a deck/balcony area immediately out your door that is for your private use. The screened in porch is for the use of other guests staying in the main house. That door is kept closed and there is a privacy scene, so that you don't see them and they don't see you.

*There is a cute cuddly lovable dog on premises. You can pet him, as he loves people and is very friendly. Or I can keep him totally away from you. It's your choice. It won't hurt my feelings if you are not a dog person. Let me know in advance and I can provide a close to dog free experience for you.

*For swimming and boating it is recommended that you bring your own "lake shoes" or swimming shoes. They can be purchased at Walmart or online for about $10 a pair.

*Here's what's provided for your boating experience: one canoe, three oars,
one paddle board, one oar and life jackets. Please note that these items are not officially listed as part of the house's amenities. They are additional items provided for guests to enjoy and may be subject to outdoor conditions.

*If you need to bring a trailer with you, please ask for approval prior to arrival.

*The tub is not in use. It work but because of previous abuse from previous guest, the water and the jets have been disconnected but in the meantime, all guests can enjoy a wonderful modern bathroom with a wonderful shower per the photos.

*If you have the windows or doors open, please do not run the air conditioner or the heater, as this will throw off the system.

*Please note that the chairs located in the backyard are part of the outdoor area and are subject to natural elements. While we do not have a dedicated maintenance team for the outdoor furniture, we strive to provide a comfortable environment for our guests.

*To ensure your comfort, we recommend spraying the chairs down before use if you notice any insects. Insect spray can be found in the utility closet for your convenience.

*There may be laundry in the dryer. This is because the housekeeper works to get the unit ready as soon as possible for your potential early arrival. If you need to use the dryer, simply take the pile of clean laundry and set it to the side. There is no reason for you to fold the laundry. Please don't use towels or sheets that are left in the dryer. There will be plenty available to you for your use during your stay.

*$150 per month utilities are collected in advance separate from the reservation for any stays 30 days or longer. This covers high-speed internet, water and sewer, trash, electric, and gas. This money is collected by the host through the Airbnb app before your reservation begins.

Occasionally, packages may be delivered to the property to assist with its maintenance and upkeep. In rare instances, we may kindly ask you to bring a package inside for safekeeping. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us ensure the home remains in great condition.

Here on our farm you can enjoy "The best of both worlds". After spending your day enjoying the sights and sounds of downtown Nashville and Middle Tennessee retreat to the fresh country air and serenity of this log cabin home. Sitting on a 5 acre private farm just 35 minutes north of dowtown Nashville in the town of Cottontown, the cabin is conveniently only 10 minutes from I-65.

The space
We have furnished the cabin with your comfort in mind. You will find a large open living area with a stone gas fireplace for chilly cozy evenings. There is a full kitchen with everything you'll need for home-cooked meals complete with a full size refrigerator and dishwasher. The main floor master bedroom features a queen size bed and private bath with jacuzzi tub. Upstairs there is a bedroom with two twin beds plus, a loft with another twin bed, and a rollaway bed available upon request. The loft also has a desk for guest use with twin monitors and a 2nd full bath with a stand up shower. A washer & dryer are also provided for your convenience. Outside you can relax on one of two porches watching the cows graze.

Around the farm you will occasionally you will see deer making their way across the pasture. You will encounter rabbits too - especially at night. Our cows may come to the fence to see who is here.

This Cabin sits on the front of the property and features a large covered front porch with a swing and lots of seating to enjoy the wildlife as they come through. This one-bedroom cabin sleeps up to 6 guests. On the main floor, you and your guests can gather in the living room for great conversation or game night, play music on the record player, and there's plenty of room for everyone to enjoy a meal around the table and kitchen bar.

The Lake Cabin of Tranquility is filled with unique charm that is combined with a relaxing water view! It sits on the back of the property and has a lake view and access for canoeing, as well as outdoor seating, a fire pit, and grill—perfect for an evening under the stars! This two-bedroom cabin sleeps up to 10 guests. On the main floor, you and your guests can gather in the living room for great conversation or game night, and there's plenty of room for everyone to eat a family-style meal around the big table in the eat-in kitchen.

Bedroom 1 - 2 Full over Full bunk beds
Bedroom 2 - 1 King bed, 1 twin bed with trundle
