~The boat will be kept at our docks on the bayside of the street. You can easily walk or drive to the dock. It will start with a full tank of fuel and need to be full when it is returned or we can fill it for you for $25 per quarter of a tank on the guage.~
~It's a 10 passenger boat. Basic, adult, orange, life jackets will be provided. Please bring children's life jackets.~
~No need to reserve in advance unless you want it during a time it's not included.~

~Contact me once you have arrived to set up a time to meet the following morning to sign the waiver and view the boat~ Not everyone uses the pontoon so if you do not contact me once you have arrived I will assume you don't want the boat and I will go on with my day. Please call or text me the evening prior to you taking the boat out to set up a meeting time.~

Come visit this beautiful log home on Lake Barkley with extensive decking overlooking the lake and the Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreational Area. The cabin has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, laundry, sun room/reading room, and central heat and air. Main level bed room has a queen size bed. The upstairs, bay side, bedroom also has a queen bed. The upstairs, channel side, bedroom has a king size bed and also has an additional reading room with a twin size bed.

The cabin sleeps 7 comfortably. Boating, fishing, swimming, and sunbathing are just out the back door. Nearby you can find horseback riding, go for a bike ride, or get wild and crazy on your ATV at Turkey Creek in LBL. Traveling west to Aurora, you will find Kentucky Lake State Park, host of the Hot August Blues Festival. Head east to Cadiz, home of the Trigg County Ham Festival, and you will find several antique shops, 2 nearby golf courses, tennis courts, walking trails, and much much more.

This log cabin is situated on the main lake with fabulous views year round and is conveniently located less than a mile from the main highway (US 68/80). Although no dock permits are granted on the main channel; the public boat ramp is just a mile down the road with very easy access. I also have dock access at the end of the street.

Wi-Fi is provided. Verizon and AT&T work well inside and out. To the best of my knowledge, all cell carriers work outside the cabin.

If you need anything at all, I live at the end of the street and will do my best to make your stay at the lake an enjoyable one!

Included with your stay is a 5 person pass to the fitness center at nearby Lake Barkley State Park. This is a great place to unwind after a long day of sight seeing or a great place to take the kids on a rainy day. They offer racquetball, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, free weights, treadmills, nautilus machines, and workout classes. Passes are by request after you arrive.

Rates are based on an 8 person occupancy, additional guests are $25 per person per night.

Holidays require a minimum 4 night reservation.

With being on the lake there is always a chance of bugs, please understand we do everything we can to keep the outside of the house clean but sometimes it just is not possible. June, July, and August have what is called a Mayfly hatch occasionally, they do not bite and are good for fishing.

FAQS:

 No more than 2 pets are allowed. There is a $100 fee for each pet.

 There is room for 4-5 cars in the driveway. There is plenty of room for over flow parking, just let me know and I’ll show you where it is.

 Free wifi is provided. It is sometimes slow and unreliable but is the best we have in our area.

 ALL your linens are provided. I always recommend bringing your pillow for your comfort.

 The kitchen has basic pots and pans and utensils for your general cooking needs.

 There is a full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen.

 The neighborhood is located on a dead end street and is usually very quiet.

 Our neighbors’ kids play in the street so please drive with caution.

 The grill is propane and the propane is provided. Bring a lighter as ours tend to walk off.

 The outdoor grill is not cleaned by the cleaning staff, please clean up after yourself. Also, please
excuse the last guest for not listening to the first part of this statement.

 The steps on the deck will lead you all the way to the shoreline.

 The water is gently sloping and you can swim from the shore.

 The bottom of the lake is rocky and semi-muddy. I recommend wearing lake shoes.

 Yes, you can fish from the shoreline. KY fish and game laws apply.

 You can use any of the 3 docks on the bayside at the end of the street. Everyone is welcome to come to the end of the street and use my lot on the point. I do ask that you respect our privacy.
• We have 6 pontoon boats and 4 jet skis available for rent. They are shared between all of our rental houses and I do recommend you reserve in advance, our rental site is enjoylakebarkley.com (Click on boats). The boats are always docked at our COVERED dock. Once I have given you safety instructions you are allowed to use the boat from sunrise to sunset. NO night use. If you are out after dark I will assume you are missing and emergence personnel will be notified.
We need a credit card to hold for the additional boat deposit of $300. If you are staying during the promotional period then you can ignore the rental statement.

Boat rental is seasonal, May-September

• No penalty for boat rain outs. If you reserve we do ask that you plan on using the boat or it will be deducted from your deposit. We do not offer half day rentals.

 I always recommend you bring your food with you. Our grocery stores are no comparison to the stores most are used to in the city. Hancocks Neighborhood Market is about 12 miles away and the best of our two local options.

Fireplace is for looks only and is NOT functional.

We also have 2 kayaks available. $25 daily each. Kayaks are to be returned before dark to my covered dock

The Hot tub and Pool are offsite and comes as a part of the complimentary pass to the Lake Barkley State Park.

Our home sits right on beautiful Lake Barkley, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. However, please note that there is no traditional beach or cleared waterfront access directly on the property. While you may be able to wade into the water, lake access from the property is partial and can be impacted by weather—especially after storms, which may wash logs and natural debris onto the shoreline.

Guest Access:
Single-level home - You will have access to the entire home, the driveway, backyard, and the dock with 1 boat slip and lifts except for the loft sleeping area and the steps leading down to the lake

The Neighborhood:
This is a very family and pet friendly neighborhood. About as peaceful as them come. Please respect the neighbors.

The cabin is very close to the water, there is a fishing dock and boat ramp 5 min away, and Prizer point is only takes 10 min get there. If you are looking for a lakeside, noisy family campground, this place is not it. We went out every day and appreciated coming back to peace and quiet. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are wonderful. We had two small dogs and one of the best things is this cabin is pet friendly! We definitely will stay here again. The only problem with this great review is that we hope White Oak Ridge Cabins don't get so popular we can't get in!!!!!"

It was exactly as described. There was a nice firepit in the back to drink a beer, smoke a cigar, and discuss why anyone in their right mind would want to eat at 5 cracker barrels in the same day. It's not the Four Seasons, but we weren't paying for the Four Seasons. We were paying for a place to rest our carb filled bodies for a night after eating at 5 different Cracker Barrels. We woke up and knocked out 3 more on our way home to central KY. Thank you Tony for a great stay!"

Cabin 6 at Fish Island Resort is a cozy two bedroom cabin with full kitchen and a living space. It's located in our small family owned and operated resort at Lake Barkley. Nightly rate includes access to the Lake Barkley State Park fitness center (about a 5 minute drive from the cabin) complete with heated indoor pool, full gym, sauna, steam room, hot tub. Owners, Tony and Karen, live on site and work hard to make sure your stay is excellent.

The space
Fish Island Resort is a nice community of ten cabins, convenience store, and the owner's house. Our property joins Lake Barkley State Park and is just across the street from Barkley Lake. During summer pool the lake is up enough to put a kayak in the creek on our property and float to the lake just a few yards away. State park boat ramp just over a mile away is really nice with great parking. If you need a fishing guide let us know. We work closely with local guides who we have confidence in.

Guest access
You will have the run of the cabin, the public areas including ample parking for boats, trailers, etc., and since we join state park property you can leave from your cabin and enjoy a nice hike in the woods. The state park encompasses 3,700 acres and it's right outside the door! Just five miles away is the 170,000 acres of Land Between the Lakes. This spectacular section of land is home to all kinds of wildlife and outdoor activities. Everything from 1850's working farms to planetariums, to off roading and horse back riding. Well over fifty miles of single track mountain biking, well over a hundred miles of gravel riding, and spectacular road rides make this area one of the premiere destinations for cyclists. New this season is the extended hardwoods paved hiking/biking trail. Leave from the cabin and just a short trip down the state park road lands you on this new trail through Land Between the Lakes, across the Barkley Lake bridge, right past Golden Pond Planetarium, the Trace, and the North South trail, then across the Kentucky Lake bridge to Aurora. The hiking and biking is absolutely spectacular here!

ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING IN THE CABIN. Smoking allowed outdoors on the property. If your cabin smells like smoke when you leave there will be a $250 cleaning fee.
We allow pets with a 25.00 pet fee. All pest must be under control and cleaned up after both inside and outside the cabin. You will still be responsible for any damages caused by the pet. If your pet has fleas, leave it at home. If we find fleas after you leave a $350 extermination fee will be added.

If we stocked the cabinets with everything anyone might need the cabinets would be full, disorganized, and half of it would get stolen over time. Hard plates and dishes provided.

No spices provided, no aluminum foil, no storage bags, no crockpot. Dollar General is 2 blocks away.

K-cup style coffee maker, no coffee provided.

All bed linens, towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and hand soap are provided.

All full sized appliances including washer and dryer.

Downstairs has a large kitchenette. Lots of counter space, large fridge, sink, and bar area.

Mediacom wireless internet is provided. They are our only available provider. OCCASIONALLY they go offline for short periods of time. I'm sorry but this is country living. I live with the same internet... if yours is out mine is out..... we can be sad together.... or go outside and do whatever we did before internet!!

!!!!! IMPORTANT INFORMATION. !!!! The living rooms upstairs and down both have new large HDTVs with a ROKU steaming devise on each. Roku is our only form of "TV programing" NO cable, satellite, or antenna. This house has rented for over a year and I have never had anyone complain about the programming abilities. Please read and understand this prior to arrival. No tvs in the bedrooms.

The back deck has 2 tables that will seat 4 each. The downstairs patio has 2 pic-nic tables that will easily hold 4 people each.

The water is easily accessible. The bottom is muddy. If you walk just a bit further to the point on the main channel side the bottom is rock and a little nicer for swimming

We have 6 pontoons and 4 jet skis available for rent. We do recommend reservations in advance. No charge for complete rain outs. If the sun is out you are expected to use and pay for the boat. No half day rentals. The boats are first come first serve. Occasionally things happen and boats must be taken out for service, obviously we try to do this when they aren't rented but if something unexpected occurs we will have to cancel your boat reservation.

4 kayaks available for rent for $25 daily each.

We do have over flow parking near by. This house has a small parking area.

Att and Verizon work well outside and fair inside. I can not speak for other providers as I haven't personally experienced them.

Pets are allowed if they are under 40lbs. NO exceptions! This house has new hardwood throughout the upstairs and I'd like to keep it new as long as possible. Pets are $100 each with a 2 pet maximum. Pets must be crated when left in the house alone. Please pick up after your pet. DO NOT ALLOW male dogs to hike their leg on ANY landscaping/bushes/shrubs in the neighborhood. Dog urine will cause the plant to turn brown and die. This rule goes for the entire neighborhood. If this accidentally happens please pour water on the area immediately. If I or a staff member observe any of the pet rules broken your deposit will be forfeited. Please do not allow your dog to constantly bark, if you have a constant barker please leave them at home. Our guests come to the lake to have fun and relax without noise distractions. We want the property to be as beautiful for the next guest as it was when you arrived.

I do not visit unless you request I stop by, you are on vacation and I'm sure I'm late for something so I try to give you complete privacy. I am always close or I can have a staff member help if you need something.

You and I will be neighbors... if the neighbors complain about noise it means you have gotten so loud you have irritated my wife... In result I hear about it... if I hear about it you are gonna hear about it..ONCE. The second time I get a noise complaint the Sheriff will deal with you. There is no third time. If it sounds like I don't tolerate disrespect I have gotten my point across. Cutting up and laughing is understandable and acceptable, yelling, screaming, loud music, etc is not tolerated. I have been renting houses for nearly 10 years and had to visit with one guest one time.

Beautiful Log Cabin on a 2 Acre waterfront lot, the backyard slopes gently to the water. Easy access to the water & boat dock for kayaking, swimming, etc. Bring your boat and use our dock. You can drive down close to the water's edge making it ideal for those having difficulty walking down steep slopes.

The cabin has 4 bed rm (1K, 2Q, 4TBB), loft has 3 T & F size futon. TV rm has Q pull out and 3 foldout T. 3 full baths & Laundry. We recently slept 22 at our family reunion.

The space
A spacious great room with a spectacular view. Choose to relax on the main deck, the walkout basement patio with a bench swing or at the water's edge. You can enjoy dinner on the deck or at the picnic table by lake. Complete you day with a peaceful evening with s'mores by the firepit. Firewood is provided.

You are welcome to bring or rent boats and dock them at our private slip on property. And are free to use our floats, lifejackets, and water toys/equipment. Contact for more details.

While you stay with us, the only thing you should worry about is enjoying your vacation. Cleaning the cabin is our concern. All we ask is at the end of your stay is that you put wet towels in a bathtub and place all your trash in the outside bin or in the garage. Beds can be left unmade.

We offer grocery services. We can have groceries delivered from Walmart to us in Cadiz and then we will bring them to you at the cabin. You get to enjoy the quiet relaxation of a quiet lakeside cabin without having to make the long trips to get essentials.

A heated dog wash station is available in the temperature controlled garage.

There is a small fenced yard space in the front. The deck has gates at two ends. The deck can be fenced in with the yard. The fence is light duty and is meant to act as a boundary. Children and pets should still be supervised. We do not guarantee that the fenced yard area will secure animals that push against the fence.

Some cooking spices, ingredients, and condiments are available for you. Feel free to inquire about what we have in stock.

Dog's must be supervised or crated at all times. We have three large cates on site and an extra large crate can be provided if needed.

This property is in a rural location. There is wildlife around the property, and we have pest control come out regularly. However, that does not mean we can fully control the wildlife and bugs in the area.
