You can also take a steep hike down to water's edge where you can take a walk or go fishing. We have avid bird watchers stay here, as you will see wildlife all around.

You will truly enjoy the inside where you will find 20 foot ceilings with floor to ceiling windows so you can enjoy the view from the inside. There are updated appliances, a large bathroom and a wonderful family area for gathering, playing games or just relaxing around the fire.

This place is a great place to relax and just to get away from our hectic lives. Also, it is a great place to have great fun and make memories. The location is convenient to many recreation ventures such as marina's, restaurants, shopping, golf, hunting, water park, and Land Between the Lakes.

The view of the lake is truly breathtaking with the sunsets. At any given moment you may see all kinds of wildlife, from birds, bald eagles, deer, and fox.

~The boat will be kept at our docks on the bayside of the street. You can easily walk or drive to the dock. It will start with a full tank of fuel and need to be full when it is returned or we can fill it for you for $25 per quarter of a tank on the guage.~
~It's a 10 passenger boat. Basic, adult, orange, life jackets will be provided. Please bring children's life jackets.~
~No need to reserve in advance unless you want it during a time it's not included.~

You will love this custom built home! We are located less than one mile from US highway 68/80...on a dead end street...making it a very quiet and relaxing location!

As you can see in the pictures, this home features two bedrooms both with private baths. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed.. The upstairs loft will sleep 3 with a full and twin sized bed. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and is stocked with the basic necessitates to make your stay as relaxing as possible. There is a screened in back porch for your bug-free enjoyment.

I live at the end of the street and you are always welcome to stroll down 3 houses and use the entire peninsula lot! This cottage is not allowed a dock on the main channel but you are welcome to use our dock, its just a 3 min walk down to our lot. The 55'' LED Samsung TV has a Roku for your enjoyment. Also, free Wifi for your convenience. On a chilly day, you can snuggle up on the leather couch and enjoy the gas log fireplace. Included in your stay is a 5 person pass to The Fitness Center at Lake Barkley State Park. The Fitness Center features; indoor pool, sauna, steam room, racquetball, free weights, Nautilus machines, outdoor basketball, outdoor tennis, daily aerobic classes, and much much more.

This house will be most comfortable with 5 or less people. 8 guests is our maximum.

No more than 2 pets are allowed. There is a $100 fee for each pet.

Offsite- A 5 person pass to the Lake Barkley State Park fitness center is provided. Pool and hot tub are located at the finest center.

 There is room for 2-3 cars in the driveway. There is plenty of room for over flow parking, just let me know and I’ll show you where it is.

 ALL your linens are provided. I always recommend bringing your pillow for your comfort.

 The kitchen has basic pots and pans and utensils for your general cooking needs. We recommend bringing your own cooking spices and any type of storage for your food you might need.

 There is a full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen.

 The neighborhood is located on a dead end street and is usually very quiet.

 Our neighbors’ kids play in the street so please drive with caution.

 The grill is propane and the propane is provided. Bring a lighter as ours tend to walk off.

 The outdoor grill is not cleaned by the cleaning staff, please clean up after yourself. Also, please excuse the last guest for not listening to the first part of this statement.

 The steps on the deck will lead you all the way to the shoreline.

 The water is gently sloping and you can swim from the shore.

 The bottom of the lake is rocky and semi-muddy. I recommend wearing lake shoes.

 Yes, you can fish from the shoreline. KY fish and game laws apply, licenses are easily purchased online.

 You can use any of the docks on the bayside at the end of the street.

 Everyone is welcome to come to the end of the street and use my lot on the point. I do ask that you respect our privacy.

-With being on the lake there is always a chance of bugs, please understand we do everything we can to keep the outside of the house clean but sometimes it just is not possible. June, July, and August have what is called a Mayfly hatch occasionally, they do not bite and are good for fishing.
• We have 6 pontoon boats available for rent. They are shared between all of our rental houses and I do recommend you reserve in advance, our rental website is enjoylakebarkley.com (click on boats). The boats are always docked at our docks. Once I have given you safety instructions you are allowed to use the boat from sunrise to sunset. NO night use. If you are out after dark I will assume you are missing and emergence personnel will be notified. If you are staying during the promotional period you can disregard the rental paragraph.
• No penalty for boat rain outs. If you reserve we do ask that you plan on using the boat or it will be deducted from your deposit. No half day rentals. An additional $300 deposit will be held for the pontoon.

 I always recommend you bring your food with you. Our grocery stores are no comparison to the stores most are used to in the city.

The balcony was a favorite spot to read, hang out, lounge on the hammock. We visited LBL 1850's Working Settlement, Bison & Elk Prairie. Venture River Waterpark (30 min) Kentucky Shores Family Fun Center (40 min). We did not utilize the boat slip this time but the kids did fish off the dock. (It is a steep trip up from the dock - good workout!) Patty was very accommodating and a pleasure to visit with. We plan to visit again!!"

Welcome to The Fuzziesquirel! This is Unit 1 of what will eventually be a 3-unit property.

Close to the lake and boat ramps. Plenty of good hunting, fishing, boating, 4-wheeling, hiking, and outdoorsy stuff around us.

Newly renovated unit. Cozy, family-friendly, and has plenty of room to park your boat, trailer, or toys. 5-10 minutes from boat launches, the lake, biking/walking path, and Lake Barkley State Park (with a great beach). We are not too far from Dollar General, and about 20 minutes to town.

This is one unit of a triplex. We are still renovating one of the other units, so you will probably see us around working to make the property even better for you!

There is a coffee bar with coffee, creamer, sugar, etc. we know how important coffee is! We also have a leave a mug take a mug fun thing to do. You can take a coffee mug as a memory of your stay, but you MUST leave a coffee mug. And only the mugs, nothing else.

It is a work in progress. We are constantly improving the inside and outside of our property to make it better for you.

There is a $5 per night extra cleaning fee for stays over 5 days due to longer stays requiring a much longer and deeper clean. There is very limited cell service and AT&T works the best if you have it. We do have “high speed” Wi-Fi and cable to watch TV.

If you are planning on bringing a boat or trailer please give us a heads up so that we can make sure to have a space designated for you.

We are in the country, and there are the usual country bugs. Bugs are normal in the country, so please do not be alarmed. We are in a rural area. We do have neighbors, but not a ton. There is wifi but, very limited cell service, AT&T works the best. But little cell service means you can truly “unplug” and enjoy nature.

You can also hear the neighbors shooting their guns every so often. I know for those who aren’t used to country life this can be concerning, do not worry, it is normal here. People like to target practice in their back yards.

Again we are in the country, so you will probably see wild critters of all kinds, from deer and bald eagles, to mice and snakes. It is the country and no amount of “pest control” will control Mother Nature.

The only problem with this great review is that we hope White Oak Ridge Cabins don't get so popular we can't get in!!!!!"

Newly remodeled Upstairs 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment in a triplex. Private balcony. Family friendly with plenty of trailer parking, so bring your boats, and off road toys. We are about 5-10 minutes from a couple of different boat launches, biking/walking path, and Lake Barkley Sate park (with a very nice beach). We are 5 minutes from the Dollar General, a gas station, & about 20 minutes to town.

This is the upstairs unit of a triplex (#3). Currently only one other unit is being rented out (#1). This unit is upstairs and very private. It has a private balcony to enjoy the outdoors.

My parents have a dog. His name is Tucker. He is the most well mannered and trained dog I have ever met. He is very friendly and LOVES to play fetch with anything people will throw for him. He will probably bring you something to throw while you are here. He roams the property freely, and has never been a problem. People leave comments about how much they enjoyed him.

We like to make it feel homey and decorate for the Holidays (but we don’t go overboard lol)

We do all the cleaning ourselves to make sure it is done right and up to our standards. We also wash all the towels and linens in free and clear soaps, and free and clear oxiclean.

Guests have access to the whole property. There is a shared fire pit in the backyard, each unit has a front patio area, there is a small stream on 2 sides and a walking trail behind the property.

The owners (my parents) live on the property most of the time, and are there if you need them, but will give you your privacy. You can also reach me if you need anything. It was exactly as described. There was a nice firepit in the back to drink a beer, smoke a cigar, and discuss why anyone in their right mind would want to eat at 5 cracker barrels in the same day. It's not the Four Seasons, but we weren't paying for the Four Seasons. We were paying for a place to rest our carb filled bodies for a night after eating at 5 different Cracker Barrels. We woke up and knocked out 3 more on our way home to central KY. Thank you Tony for a great stay!"

The camper was very clean and in like new condition. The kitchen seemed to be stocked with everything to prepare a meal. However we chose to eat at the restaurant on site. We did use the nice charcoal grill that is provided and it's big enough to cook for a family. Sitting outside under the awning you have a nice view of the marina and the lake with plenty of seating available. The campground itself is very small and the people staying there were very friendly. Bring your boat and rent a covered boat slip from Moonriver. It's very affordable. If you forget something at home there are stores just a few minutes away. Other than that once you get there you have no reason to even need a vehicle until it's time to go home."

- "This is a very nice property. It was clean and well maintained inside. Our son really liked that the basement was a separate outside entrance as he felt like he had his own place. It is located just outside the Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area, which is why we stayed there. The owners are very nice and easy to communicate with. They live just down the road so if you need anything they're pretty quick to respond. The only issue is that the WiFi is not very good. That's not the owners fault, just a function of the location. They use an AT&T hotspot (as there isn't wired internet available) which doesn't get a good signal. Our personal phones are T-Mobile and we didn't have any signal at all. My work phone is Verizon and it had the best signal, but even it wasn't great. So just be aware of you need Internet while there (for work, school, just to look up things to do) it's going to be difficult."

Our Cabin is not on Lake Barkley however our Cabin includes remote access to a private, deep water, covered dock on Lake Barkley. Just a short drive, to Hopson Bay (5 mile drive from cabin). There is a covered slip and boat lift on the dock that owner's boat will be on most of the season but may be available for your boat if you work with cabin owner.

Dockside mooring will always be available, year-round. Great place for swimming, fishing, or just hanging out with family or friends! There are no washroom facilities at the dock. Bring all your own daily needs, including your own life jackets, fishing equipment, swimming favorites, and food and drinks. Pack it in pack it out! Dock hours will be limited to sunrise to sunset, but boats or gear may be left at dock overnight.

The space
Fish Island Resort is a nice community of ten cabins, convenience store, and the owner's house. Our property joins Lake Barkley State Park and is just across the street from Barkley Lake. During summer pool the lake is up enough to put a kayak in the creek on our property and float to the lake just a few yards away. State park boat ramp just over a mile away is really nice with great parking. If you need a fishing guide let us know. We work closely with local guides who we have confidence in.

Cabin 7 at Fish Island Resort is a cozy two bedroom cabin with full kitchen and a living space. It's located in our small family owned and operated resort at Lake Barkley. Nightly rate includes access to the Lake Barkley State Park fitness center (about a 5 minute drive from the cabin) complete with heated indoor pool, full gym, sauna, steam room, hot tub. We do occasionally have the water shut off when the home is vacant for a long period of time if it is shut off there’s a small door next to the garden hose on the side of the house in the front there’s a lever in there to turn the water on also the water heater will need to be turned on in the closet in the bathroom the Internet Wi-Fi code is next to the TV there are cameras around the outside of the home you can unplug the box next to the sofa and it will disable the cameras during your stay

Horseshoe Haven is a peaceful setting to come enjoy the lake for the weekend or for a relaxing week. You can see the lake from the back porch and it's very close to the boat ramp at Calhoun Hill. Spend the day on the water then grill in the evening and watch the sunset. For guests that stay five or more days we well let them use our battle balls on that Saturday for more family fun! High speed internet (200mbps) and a preloaded firestick with current TV shows/movies for when you have down time.

Queen size bed, dinette table also makes a bed. We can offer a small air mattress or cot if room for 4 is needed.
Kitchen has stove, small oven, microwave and refrigerator. Coffee maker uses grounds or k-cups.
Bathroom has towels and washcloths provided and a stand up shower, no tub.
Outside you will have a fire pit, wood is available in bundles for a additional fee. You will have access to a charcoal grill, and grilling utensils, charcoal and lighter fluid not provided.
We also have lawn chairs, roasting sticks, corn hole boards, etc… for you to use while you are staying on the grounds.

The KZ Camper is the only camper that guests can use. We have a second camper on the property but it is used for personal use only.
Also, there are several stacks of firewood on the property, this is for personal use also. Bundles of firewood are provided for guests if requested for a additional fee.
If you are traveling with your own camper and would like to stay here for the night or weekend we can accommodate that also!

The tv is digital/air channels only. If you would like us to provide a Roku streaming device please let us know before your stay.

There are lots of board games and card games available for use during your stay. Please be kind and keep games and cards together in their own boxes.

If you will be staying long enough and want the corn hole boards outside please let us know. Otherwise they will be locked up in the shed so they are not continuously exposed to weather.

Cozy and family friendly space with plenty of space to park your boat, trailer, or toys. We are about 5-10 minutes from a couple of different boat launches, biking/walking path, and Lake Barkley Sate park (with a very nice beach). We are 5 minutes from the Dollar General, a gas station, & about 20 minutes to town.
This is one unit of a triplex. We rent the upstairs unit as well. The other downstairs unit is not rented out.

The space
Welcome to The Fuzziesquirel 1!

Close to Land Between the Lakes, Lake Barkley and boat ramps. Plenty of good hunting, fishing, boating, 4-wheeling, hiking, and outdoorsy stuff around us. There is a nice walking trail behind the house.

There is a coffee bar with coffee, creamer, sugar, etc. we know how important coffee is! We also have a leave a mug take a mug fun thing to do. You can take a coffee mug as a memory of your stay, but you MUST leave a coffee mug. And only the mugs, nothing else. We love seeing the unique mugs people leave behind!

My parents have a dog. His name is Tucker. He is the most well mannered and and trained dog I have ever met. He is very friendly and LOVES to play fetch with anything people will throw for him. He will probably bring you something to throw while you are here. He roams the property freely, and has never been a problem.

We like to make it feel homey and decorate for the Holidays (but we don’t go overboard lol)

We do all the cleaning ourselves to make sure it is done right and up to our standards. We also wash all the towels and linens in free and clear soaps, and free and clear oxiclean.
