Down town is full of great places to dine and visit. Wonderful one of a kind dining experiences, antique shopping, boutiques, brewery’s and coffee shops adorn the quant little square. Breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a place to wind down with beer and wonderful snacks awaits you. If you are lucky enough to find yourself visiting the first Friday of every month you will find food trucks and craft vendors. The farmers market is located right off the square on the river walk. If you are in the mood for fine dining, hamburgers or bar hoping and karaoke you will find that on Riverside drive right off the square. The cottage is pet friendly and you can take Fido for a stroll on river walk or to the new dog park located at Maury County park. Load the bicycles provided and you will find scenic routes in short driving distances or just get your exercise in the sweet cottage neighborhood. There are nice scenic hiking trails within 5-10 miles as well. The Crossings in Spring Hill is 10 miles North and there you will find a nice updated movie theatre, well known shopping and chain type restaurants. There is a cozy king bedroom with a incredible walk in tile shower equipped with a rain head steps away. There is also an on suite with a cozy King bed and jacuzzi tub as well as a walk in closet if you require ample closet space. All bedrooms are adorned with a smart tv. The living area has a comfy recliner and sofa along with a comfy settee and table and chairs to play games, work puzzles or enjoy a snack. Watch a movie and enjoy the relaxing fireplace in winter or summer as it has the option to use with or without heat. The kitchen is equipped with all things needed to whip up a warm meal or nice sandwich or coffee to sit at the eat in breakfast nook while enjoying the birds in the nice mature trees and gaze at the neighbors walking their dogs. Muletown’s Retreat is in a quaint well established neighborhood and a hop skip and a jump from the heart of Muletown’s downtown district. Walking distance to many Restaurants, Hangouts, Antique shops, Coffee Shops, Breweries, Wine tasting, Boutiques, Bars and other unique shops and even a Church. First Friday’s the downtown has food trucks and the local downtown businesses stay open later. The farmers market is right around the corner for fresh veggies. There is a splash pad that the kiddos love within walking distance. An outdoor fitness area also is the perfect way to get in a nice workout right around the corner. There is an entrance to Riverwalk at the end of the street and a nice place for a leisurely stroll or a great place to walk Fido. There are many little paths and entrances to fishing holes. Frank’s shop has fishing passes and live bait to use with the fishing poles and cooler provided by Muletown’s Riverside Retreat. Get some snacks have a picnic and try some fishing for the day. Online fishing permits / passes are available with a smart phone. The property has a charm all its own with a retro feel while remaining a nice Retreat from it all. The small privacy fenced back yard hangout is my favorite place to unwind. We have a picnic grill and a one of a kind fence bar out back. There are smart tvs in all the bedrooms and the living room and recreation room with YouTube tv, Netflix all waiting for you. Pool table , mini fridge and lots of board games all found in the recreation room. Take the cornhole boards out and enjoy some down home fun! We have provided a couple of bicycles for you to cruise the neighborhood or downtown area or load up and enjoy biking and hiking trails nearby. You will find many accommodations throughout this little retreat walking distance to the up and coming Muletown’s square.

On Valentine’s Day 1945, a south Georgia born boy and a young Sicillian woman from Wisconsin, met across a hotel lobby in Milwaukee. He, a classically trained violinist and she, an elevator operator with poems in her heart and stars in her eyes. It was love-at-first sight and they wed that night. Their first hit, Country Boy was being performed by Little Jimmy Dickens at the Grand Ole Opry as they pulled their dilapidated trailer and two baby boys into Nashville’s Rainbow Trailer Court. Boudleaux and Felice Bryant went on to get 800 songs cut, including hits such as Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Susie, Rocky Top, and All I Have to Do is Dream.
