You can reach the lake by walking through the woods but it's recommended that you drive to West Fork Recreation Ares that has access to the boat ramp or Nice Mill Recreation Area and Fishing hole for water activities. Both locations are within a mile. Stones River park is part of and connects to the J. Percy Priest Lake system. in Nashville and it also flows to Murfreesboro, TN. The boat ramp is approximately 1 mile away.

The home has wonderful amenities. Home is over 1400 sq. ft with formal dining room 3 bedroom and 2 baths. Guests will have access to the entire property, Except for the storage facility behind house.

Uber and Lyft are available, but a car is recommended.

Pets are welcome but we ask that you please let us know how many and what type you plan to bring. We charge $100 per pet and ask that you not allow them on furniture during your stay as a courtesy to guests after you.

This property backs into the woods. That means there will be some wildlife and that includes deer, rabbits, opossums, raccoons, and bugs!. As much as we will try to control this with pest control, this is just a part of being connected to the wooded area, so please be aware.

- "I chose this property for its location and promising pictures, despite it having no prior reviews—a decision I regret. Upon entering, we were greeted by numerous air fresheners attempting to mask an indescribable odor, which immediately raised red flags. Out of respect for the home, we removed our shoes as we unpacked groceries, but I quickly noticed issues. The refrigerator handles were sticky with gunk, and the freezer doors were frozen shut with unidentified liquids. The kitchen surfaces felt sticky, leaving the impression of incomplete cleaning. Upstairs, as we placed our bags in the bedrooms, the smell of marijuana grew stronger. When we sat at the dining table to plan our evening, we found the tabletop wasn’t even attached to the base. I contacted the host, who called back promptly but only offered half our money back as a solution. The next morning, things worsened. When my husband tried to make coffee, he discovered old grounds in the basket covered in mold. While the host was polite and responsive, the property itself fell far short of expectations."

Cumberland Cottage is a cozy 3 bedroom 2 bath home located in a quiet friendly neighborhood just 25 miles from Nashville, in the historic Murfreesboro/Smyrna Tennessee. It is all one-level with no carpet and has an inviting covered back deck overlooking a huge fenced back yard with lovely mature trees.
If you prefer to sit out front, there is also a covered porch where you can relax and enjoy the neighborhood.
The cottage is an older home that has quirks and also benefits that come with with it, such as the covered back deck, open floor plan, yard space and mature landscaping. Dogs under 30lbs are welcome at the Cottage (pet fee applies).

There is a park 2 blocks away, Many restaurants, shops, and entertainment close by. You should visit the Assembly Food Hall off 5th and Broadway. African American Museum. You can be in Nashville in 15 to 18 minutes on weekends when there is normally no traffic. You can visit Opryland Hotel and Outlet Mall. Nashville Shores is great for the family. Topgolf is exciting to hangout with your friends. Favorite restaurants are The Southern, Twelve Thirty which is Justin Timberlakes honk tonk, restaurant and supper club. Sixty Vine, Optimist, Jeff Ruby's. A suggestion, make reservations for all restaurants.

Welcome to the Allen house! Relax with the whole family in this peaceful, clean farmhouse while enjoying the views of a stable and horses in your backyard! We have three porch swings and multiple rocking chairs on a covered wraparound country porch. It has a full kitchen and formal dining room, with a large living room and large master bath too! It is two stories, but it is fully handicapped accessible with an interior chair lift and an exterior electric ramp for wheelchairs (these features are locked for safety reasons and the guest(s) must contact us prior to check-in for access). Only 30 minutes from the bustle of Nashville and country music, but nestled in a quiet established neighborhood with a fenced in backyard (*fencing may not keep in smaller dogs). We are centrally located 24 miles from the airport, 23 miles from Franklin, and just 12 miles from Murfreesboro! Also just minutes from grocery stores, shopping, recreation parks, fishing, and so much more! It is a large house with plenty of room for everyone. We know you will love it as much as we do!

We are pet friendly as well for up to 2 pets! (The Pet Stay is $15/pet/night.) We do have a pet crate policy for this home. When dogs are left unattended we ask that they remain in their crates. We also request that the dogs stay off the furniture and beds. We (and future guests) appreciate your compliance with our pet policy.

Other things to note:
You have the whole house to yourself. There is a separate apartment above the garage with the side entrance reserved for the equine caretaker used only during inclement weather.

I absolutely wish we could offer an early check-in! However, this is a large property that takes between 6-10 hours to prepare for the next guest after someone checks out. Kitchen has full size refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, instant pot, and Keurig coffee maker. We provide coffee pods, sugar, splenda, creamer, a variety of teas, salt, pepper, spices and cooking oil at no charge to our guests.

Both bedrooms have Queen beds with Cooling Memory Foam mattresses and microfiber sheets for comfort and refreshing sleep. Quilt, duvet and extra pillows/blankets available.
Primary bedroom has a large desk for all your work needs.

Bathroom has plenty of towels, a blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Additionally, we have a small box of toiletries, in case you should happen to forget something.

Laundry is available during your stay and offers a full washer and dryer, including detergent.

If travelling with an infant or small child, a pack-n-play and portable high chair are available for your use. They are located in the primary bedroom closet.

Please note that Property is a duplex; therefore sharing one common wall. Both units have their own private entrance and are similar in layout.

Guest access:
The whole home is accessible (except locked closet with owner's supplies) during your stay, including the yard. Please note the backyard is private, but not currently fenced in.

Other things to note:
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in order to provide the best experience for each of our guests.

This home is not suited to host more than 5 adult guests plus an infant and is limited only to those listed in the reservation. Any additional guests or visitors must be discussed/disclosed prior to arrival.

- "The home is absolutely beautifully updated. We were very pleasantly impressed. Everything was just as described. The property manager was easy to communicate with, quick to respond when I had a question. The only problem we had was that there are no washcloths included with the towels in the bathroom. When I questioned this, it was explained that it was because they had to throw them away all the time because of stains, but it would seem to me that using white bath towels and hand towels would face the same challenges. So we had to make a trip to purchase washcloths after spending a day at the water park before anyone could shower because this was not disclosed in the listing. All in all, it was a good stay, would recommend."

Nice quiet cozy house with fenced backyard. You can relax in the private backyard. Long driveway. Nice rooms with kitchen and dinning room as well as your own washer and dryer. Nice contemporary decorations.
