Welcome to our cottage dream. The cottage is a two bedroom that can sleep 6. It is located on Reelfoot Lake, known for its fishing, hunting and wildlife. There are two boat launches, a store, boat rental, fishing and hunting guides within walking distance. It is very relaxing and peaceful. We are within 20 minutes of restaurants, grocery stores, visitors center and a beach. There is no swimming in Reelfoot. We are an hour north of Memphis and about 2 hours west of Nashville.

There were cobwebs in several rooms, the kitchen and bathroom floor was dirty. The nearby bait shop owners were very nice and helpful. Overall we did have a good time."

Welcome to Gloria’s on Exchange (GOE), a cozy home-away-from-home located in a quiet historic neighborhood, just walking distance from Downtown Union City, Tennessee. The bones of this two-bedroom cottage date to 1910, but this little house has received a loving renovation. Local art gives off a “rustic” feel, but all is completely tricked out with smart technology and very cozy furniture and bedding.

Included in the listed price are 2 bedrooms (1 queen and 1 w/2 twins) both with an en suite full bath and electric fireplace for warmth and ambiance. There is an additional 3rd bedroom with a queen sized bed automatically prepped for parties of 5-6 who pay the additional person(s) fee. This helps us keep the posted price at a minimum for parties of 4 or less.

The large living area is very comfortable with a couch and 2 new swivel rocker recliners. The living room has a smart tv and includes an electric fireplace as well.

Throughout, Gloria’s wall art, almost all original photography, reflects the owners’ love of travel and their devotion to America’s national parks.

A tasteful dining area, which features images of area attractions, opens onto a spacious deck that is equipped with a gas grill and outdoor table, seating, and umbrella (there are also two rocking chairs on the front porch). There are 7 moveable chairs which can be used for dining or other.

A well-appointed kitchen offers you the option of dining in with a full range of appliances and utensils as well as spices, oils, and ice. A coffeemaker and locally-roasted coffee are also supplied. Gloria’s on Exchange is ideally located with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and several area attractions.

A full house much like GOE. Sleeps 6-8 and has a large fun outdoor hang space with outdoor kitchen, grill, gas fire pit, and plenty of seating, picnic tables, and ambient outdoor lighting.

Less than a mile from beautiful, historic Reelfoot Lake, Morning Glory is a 2200 square- foot house that sits on 2.3 acres. The large circle driveway allows many vehicles to park safely. This house has three bedrooms, two full baths, and a large bonus room. There are three queen beds, one full, and one twin bed. The bonus room has a full size sleeper futon, and a twin blow up mattress is available as well.

Conveniently located right down the road are public boat ramps, fishing piers, spacious pavilions and grills, hiking trails, and famous Reelfoot Lake restaurants. Seasonal activities include guided pontoon boat cruises, bald eagle and waterfowl tours, and deep swamp canoe floats. Hunting, fishing, birding, and photography are highlights of the area year round! Jet and water skiing and swimming is also permitted in the washout. And only 22 miles away is Discovery Park of America, which is well worth the trip!

We are third generation owners of Morning Glory, which was built in 1954 by our grandparents. Our grandmother’s morning greeting was always “Morning Glory”, with a true southern drawl. Carole's Suite has a private entrance. Our 5000 square foot venue was built in 1893 and is on the official National Registry of Historic Places certified by the US National Parks Service. Originally the D.W. Beckham Residence, circa 1885, Historic Ann’s 1893 is in the Roulhac District, Union City’s first subdivision. Julie Hill and David Coffey purchased the property from Ann Moore in September of 2018, and spent 12 months fully restoring, renovating, and updating Historic Ann’s 1893.

Historic Ann's 1893 is a wedding/event venue first and foremost, but we do have adaptable spaces for multiple guests to stay with us overnight.

Carole's Main Floor Suite and Brenda's Top Floor Suite (accommodates 3) are both equipped for overnight stays.

We have a separate stand along home with 2 beds/baths, full kitchen, grill, deck, and more which is pet friendly called Gloria's on Exchange. This home is a 1 minute walk away so very close if you need additional spaces for family and friends. It is listed Gloria's on Exchange has a separate listing on Airbnb or you may contact Julie directly for booking information.

Guest access
Guests have access to the main floor 2 room suite with private full bath and any spaces listed as Common Areas. There is also a separate keyless entry to the suite off the front porch of the venue.

If you wish to also use our home for events, weddings, or parties you must contact us to coordinate that as it is not included in this booking/rate.

In an effort to both protect their property and help their neighborhood, Julie and David bought several vacant lots and older homes in need of "love" on their block in downtown Union City. The property at 622 Exchange St. was rented for more than 20 years by neighbor Gloria Easley.

David and Julie eventually bought the property and converted it to an AIRBNB/ VRBO. They named their new small business in tribute to their long-term neighbor Gloria!

Welcome to The Woodshop on West Florida! Perfect spot to stop off on a road-trip with your pet. This 1,100 sq ft open-concept building has recently been equipped with everything you need for your trip to Union City. The Woodshop is located less than 2 miles from Discovery Park, 20 mins from University of TN at Martin, and we’re within walking distance to restaurants, a coffee shop, boutiques and antique stores. NOT available for a long-term rental.

EVENTS & PARTIES:

While Rosie’s Retreat is a vacation rental listed on Airbnb, many weekends it serves as a bridal house for weddings at Historic Ann’s 1893 Wedding and Event Venue located directly behind us. Most of the time those who are staying at Rosie’s on the weekend are related or friends with the bridal party, but on occasion there is no relation.

We want to be clear about a few things when events at Rosie’s and Historic Ann’s are not part of the same group.

We ask both parties to be respectful of one another in terms of physical space and sound. The pathway directly behind Rosie’s is the connector from Pam’s Meadow (outdoor ceremony space) to Historic Ann’s 1893. We ask guests @ Historic Ann’s 1893 not to park in the driveway of Rosie’s nor walk through the driveway or outdoor kitchen area, but it is difficult to control. The only time there would even be an issue is Saturdays when we host weddings.

We also ask that our guests at Rosie’s be respectful of any outdoor rehearsals/ceremonies occurring during your stay. Ceremonies are usually Saturday afternoons and followed by wedding photos. These typically last no longer than an hour total. During that time, please do not use the outdoor kitchen/seating space behind Rosie’s Retreat. If you have to go out back and a ceremony is occurring, please be as quiet as possible.

If you booked on Airbnb, please know parties must be pre-approved as we list a “ no parties” policy in the rules.
For bookings that are part of a weekend wedding, we anticipate your using the space in the back of Rosie’s to hang out. Please just make sure that sounds and lights are off by 10pm as is also required at Historic Ann’s 1893. Only the pre-approved # of overnight guests should be on the property after 10pm.

Relax and enjoy your time at our peaceful home with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Minutes drive to Reel Foot Lake State Park and The Mississippi River for great fishing and hunting. Private home on large lot with parking for 4 cars in driveway. 2 bedrooms each have queen beds in them. Full bathroom with tub. Firepit available. Charcoal Grill available. I have cameras monitoring the front door and the back door. Due to the age of this home, the settling has left uneven flooring. As we have owned the home a short time, we are looking to eventually getting this fixed, but had more urgent things to get done first. Please be patient with us!

We keep our prices as low as possible to help provide a top notch yet affordable lodging option. Our base rate is set for groups of 4 or less persons with access to 2 bedrooms (1 w/queen and 1 w/2 twin beds), 2 full bathrooms, dining room, living room, full kitchen, deck with grill, and washer/dryer.

MORE THAN 4 PERSONS:
We ask that reservations with more than 4 in their party add the 3rd bedroom for an additional $30 per night (infants not included in party number).

Reservations disclosing and paying in advance for the additional room will have access to a 3rd bedroom with a nice queen bed and work desk. This room remains locked to those who do not pay the additional 3rd bedroom fee. It may not be added or accessed after check in if not paid in advance.

We also have 2 additional suites for overnight accommodations available inside our Wedding/Event venue Historic Ann's 1893 on the same block (1 minute walk). Parking:
There is a long double driveway at GOE so abundant parking and street parking is also fine. Exchange is a very quiet street with little traffic.

I follow Airbnb’s five-step enhanced cleaning process, which is based on Airbnb’s cleaning handbook that was developed in partnership with experts.

1. I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob
2. I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
3. I refer to cleaning checklists to thoroughly clean each room
4. I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay
5. I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines

You will receive a copy of the "Rules & Guidelines" I expect of each Guest 48-hours prior to arrival via email with a hard copy printed out for you when you arrive. There will also be a document with helpful information about how to access the property and what other features you can expect during your stay.

**NOTE: By law, we are required to remit a state and local (city and county) hotel/motel tax for each Guest. Airbnb will collect these additional fees and will be included in your final payout amount in order for us to operate/have Airbnbs in our area.

Guest have access to use all rooms that aren't locked. The locked doors are areas primarily used for storage and supplies for cleaning that are used between stays. Kitchen appliances/cookware, washer and dryer, fenced in backyard and gas grill are sign out of any TV apps you logged into to be used at your convenience. The garage is not included with your stay.

WiFi internet is available so feel free to bring your own electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, or your own online streaming devices.

Morning Glory is a 2200 sq. ft. home that sits on 2.3 acres. There are 3 queen size beds, 1 full size bed, and 1 twin size bed. In addition, a full size sleeper futon and twin size blow up mattress are available in the large bonus room. It has an open floor plan with a gas cooktop, double ovens, dishwasher, and microwave. The kitchen is stocked with basic necessities including a coffee maker and coffee. A charcoal grill and tools are available. All linens, toilet paper, paper towels, detergent and dishwasher pods, and extra trash bags are provided as well.

Check-in is simple as you will receive a code to enter prior to arrival. There is a large circle drive that allows many vehicles to park safely. A complete guide to the area is provided to all guests.
