Welcome to our cottage dream. The cottage is a two bedroom that can sleep 6. It is located on Reelfoot Lake, known for its fishing, hunting and wildlife. There are two boat launches, a store, boat rental, fishing and hunting guides within walking distance. It is very relaxing and peaceful. We are within 20 minutes of restaurants, grocery stores, visitors center and a beach. There is no swimming in Reelfoot. We are an hour north of Memphis and about 2 hours west of Nashville.

There were cobwebs in several rooms, the kitchen and bathroom floor was dirty. The nearby bait shop owners were very nice and helpful. Overall we did have a good time."

Welcome to Gloria’s on Exchange (GOE), a cozy home-away-from-home located in a quiet historic neighborhood, just walking distance from Downtown Union City, Tennessee. The bones of this two-bedroom cottage date to 1910, but this little house has received a loving renovation. Local art gives off a “rustic” feel, but all is completely tricked out with smart technology and very cozy furniture and bedding.

Included in the listed price are 2 bedrooms (1 queen and 1 w/2 twins) both with an en suite full bath and electric fireplace for warmth and ambiance. There is an additional 3rd bedroom with a queen sized bed automatically prepped for parties of 5-6 who pay the additional person(s) fee. This helps us keep the posted price at a minimum for parties of 4 or less.

The large living area is very comfortable with a couch and 2 new swivel rocker recliners. The living room has a smart tv and includes an electric fireplace as well.

Throughout, Gloria’s wall art, almost all original photography, reflects the owners’ love of travel and their devotion to America’s national parks.

A tasteful dining area, which features images of area attractions, opens onto a spacious deck that is equipped with a gas grill and outdoor table, seating, and umbrella (there are also two rocking chairs on the front porch). There are 7 moveable chairs which can be used for dining or other.

A well-appointed kitchen offers you the option of dining in with a full range of appliances and utensils as well as spices, oils, and ice. A coffeemaker and locally-roasted coffee are also supplied. Gloria’s on Exchange is ideally located with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and several area attractions.

Less than a mile from beautiful, historic Reelfoot Lake, Morning Glory is a 2200 square- foot house that sits on 2.3 acres. The large circle driveway allows many vehicles to park safely. This house has three bedrooms, two full baths, and a large bonus room. There are three queen beds, one full, and one twin bed. The bonus room has a full size sleeper futon, and a twin blow up mattress is available as well.

Conveniently located right down the road are public boat ramps, fishing piers, spacious pavilions and grills, hiking trails, and famous Reelfoot Lake restaurants. Seasonal activities include guided pontoon boat cruises, bald eagle and waterfowl tours, and deep swamp canoe floats. Hunting, fishing, birding, and photography are highlights of the area year round! Jet and water skiing and swimming is also permitted in the washout. And only 22 miles away is Discovery Park of America, which is well worth the trip!

We are third generation owners of Morning Glory, which was built in 1954 by our grandparents. Our grandmother’s morning greeting was always “Morning Glory”, with a true southern drawl.
