Come relax in our cozy 2 bedroom, fully furnished guest cottage located on 10 acres at the Head of the Sequatchie Valley, halfway between Crossville and Pikeville. We are tucked in by the beautiful hills of God's Country. There is something very special in this space between the mountains. Walk down to the Sequatchie river which runs through our homestead and enjoy what nature provides each season. In hot weather, dip your feet in the cool water or sit on the cedar swing and read a book while listening to the relaxing sound of the river. If you are looking to escape city life, have a personal retreat, or a quiet getaway, we offer a peaceful respite for rest and relaxation. We are next to the NOW-OPENED Justin P. Wilson Cumberland Trail State Park (open daily from 9-5) Also in Cumberland County, the golf capital of Tennessee, are ten championship golf courses. We are 20 minutes South of Crossville, TN, on the Cumberland Plateau which is home to the Cumberland County Playhouse, the historic homestead area, and Cumberland Mountain State Park. We are also one hour from the beautiful Fall Creek Falls State park. Other nearby waterfalls include Burgess Falls, Cummins Falls, Ozone Falls, and Rock Island State Park, among others. We are conveniently located 1 1/2 hours from Chattanooga and Knoxville. We are also 2 hours from the Great Smoky Mountains and Nashville. Our guest cottage is remote, quiet, and peaceful. Depending on the season and weather, we can offer a campfire down by the river, horse shoe pit, barbecue grill, and supervised use of the wood stove. This property located in the valley does not have cell service, although we do have free WI-FI, and if your phone has WI-FI calling, you will be able to make calls. There is no cable TV, but we do have Netflix, Pandora, and plenty of DVD's/Blue Ray movies for your enjoyment.

Our lodge was built over 75 years ago and is family owned and operated. We are a full service hunting lodge with guided hunts for wild boar, ram, goat, deer, elk and buffalo on over 2000 acres. During our slow time for hunting we offer our lodge out for rent.

The rooms are like a hotel, each room with its own private bath. We have 10 bedrooms in the lodge. We have rooms with a king, queen, double and bunk bed rooms. We can sleep 32 in all.

Do something different and come enjoy the peace and quiet of the wilderness. You are also welcome to fish in one of our three lakes during your stay with us.

We are located only two miles off I-40 (Plateau Rd, Exit 311) in Crossville TN. Crossville is the golf capital of Tennessee with over 14 golf courses with just a few minutes drive.

The cozy little cabin is located at the end of the road which is very private and secluded. Peaceful and quiet, with mountains and farmland behind. Look out over the small lake from the front porch and see the fish jumping. Look behind you for the gorgeous mountain view, cattle and horses. Comfortable double bed, futon in living will sleep one child or smaller adult, corner shower, soap, shampoo, and bathroom. Cabin has all the amenities including mini frig, ice, confection oven, microwave, toaster, coffee for the coffee maker, dishes, glasses, cups, gas for the gas grill, wood for the fire pit. Gazebo, swings, picnic area. Linens and towels provided, beach towels for the pool area. Catfish, Blue gill and Bass in the pond, catch and release. Or just relax in the paddleboat. Or relax in the 4 person hot tub which is well maintained.. Sparkling pool, bathhouse for changing and toilet, horseshoe pits and corn hole. This is like a mini resort but without the crowds. You just come for a stay and bring your food. A larger refrigerator/freezer on the premises if you need to store food. Owners meet and greet upon your arrival and are always available near by. Cabin is located 3 miles from state park, 18 miles from scenic waterfall. Recommended eating places lists are provided in cabin

Cumberland Cottage is a wooded retreat in Crossville, Tennessee.

Located on over 4 acres, this not-quite-tiny house is the perfect hideaway for adults to relax, or as a home base to explore the Cumberland plateau. Whether you are enjoying your coffee from the back deck, experiencing the highly anticipated Flatrock Motorclub, enjoying the Cumberland Playhouse, or adventuring out to the countless waterfalls around the plateau, you will return home rejuvenated after your stay in the cottage.

The space
We designed Cumberland Cottage with the desire to give you and your partner or friend a relaxing retreat. Including essential amenities, the cottage boasts a cozy living room, bedroom and full bath, along with a small kitchenette including a mini fridge, hot plate, microwave, keurig and french press coffee makers, as well as an outdoor grill upon request. Plan for low-stress meals in the kitchenette or visit one of our many local restaurants. You can watch streaming TV while lounging on the oversized leather sofa or nap on the extremely comfortable queen-sized bed.

Located on a private lane alongside a 50-acre forest, wildlife abounds if you are willing to wait! Take your coffee onto the back deck and keep your eyes open! So far on the property we have seen bobcat, deer, foxes, skunk, possums, squirrels, turkeys and a wide variety of birds making their way to the pond across the lane. You may also see us working on the property as we are beginning our homestead journey at our home across the lane. We have begun our family garden, have a coop full of chickens and are working to enhance your guest experience at the cottage with more outdoor features to enjoy. We value your privacy, but are happy to come say hi or make some local recommendations.

Guest access
You have your own dedicated parking space with a lighted gravel path leading to the front porch. The cottage is located on property including a large pole barn that is currently used for storage and projects for our family business. Feel free to walk the path around the perimeter of the property, exploring the beautiful views.

Not located near a lake. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located halfway between Crossville and Jamestown about 10 minute trip to town depending on traffic. Get the best of both worlds. This area is great for hiking and perfect to explore waterfalls. There are many waterfalls relatively close. Located on a couple acres this place is tucked away. Features living/kitchenette area. Luxurious bathroom and a nice sleeping area with queen size bed. There was s a desk with lamp should you be working while visiting.

We welcome you to our country cabin, a wonderful place for a couple’s getaway or quiet corner all to yourself. Enjoy the clean, country air and starry night skies away from city lights; on a quiet, low traffic road facing woods and farmland with field, pond, and forest behind.

We are just across the field from a working dairy farm and less than a mile from the dairy farm store and creamery where you can find fresh meat, eggs, milk, and some of the country’s best hand-dipped ice cream!

The space
This custom-built 14x32 cabin offers plenty of space for two with one bedroom, a full bathroom, and a living area/kitchenette. The kitchen is equipped with microwave, Keurig, toaster oven, and refrigerator/freezer along with basic dishes. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The bedroom with dimmable, candle-light chandelier offers a queen size bed with Serta memory foam mattress and a large, walk-in closet for a convenient place to park luggage and hang clothing.

You will have unlimited access to high-speed Spectrum wireless (300 Mbps).

The house is heated/cooled by one wall unit in the living area. We also offer a bedroom heater for chilly nights.

Convenient location:
Our cabin is conveniently located 3.5 miles off Interstate 40 and centered between Nashville and Knoxville. We are less than 20 minutes west of Crossville town center. Cumberland Country Playhouse is only a 15 minute drive away. We are within an hour of many state parks including Cumberland Mountain State Park, Burgess Falls State Park, Fall Creek Falls State Park, Cummins Falls State Park, and Standing Stone State Park.

Guest access
The entire cabin is yours. It is located on the owner’s property but with its own dedicated driveway, and far enough away for that extra sense of privacy. (See the photo for how far the cabin is from our house) Let yourself in with keyless-entry.

Other things to note
While we do have wifi, we do not offer a TV. There are books and games for your enjoyment. We supply complimentary tea and coffee.

The cabin does not have a washer or dryer.

There is a fire pit for your use near the front porch. We supply firewood. Just let us know if you need it! We’ll even be happy to light the fire for you if we are nearby at the time. We supply a lighter as well as roasting sticks.

Our two calico cats, Kelly and Cookie will probably come by to say Hi sometime during your stay. They are well fed even though they may try to tell you otherwise. We prefer that you not feed them. Also please do not allow them into the cabin even if they ask nicely. For the comfort and assurance of our guests, especially those with allergies, we want our cabin to remain completely pet-free!

Please NO PETS. A $200 fee will be charged if a pet is brought into the cabin.

This cabin was built with the view of our pond as its main feature. Open the blinds and enjoy the peaceful scenery. Sit on the front porch and relax in comfy rockers and watch the hummingbirds. Just steps away, enjoy a game of horse shoes, or ask the hosts to start a fire in a covered pit area to enjoy the warmth.

Guest access
The cabin is private and secure. The out buildings, barn, garage and main house are for hosts only. Guests are welcome to enjoy the fire pit area, BBQ with picnic table and horseshoe area.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located genuine log cabin, once featured in Log Cabin Homes and Log Home Living.

This beautiful log home creates a calm space by avoiding overhead lighting on the main floor. The window placement and lamps provide more than enough light without taking away from the natural aesthetic.

Master bedroom has a tv, KNG bed, & a private bath with walk-in shower.

2nd FL has a QN bed, 3 TWN beds and full bathroom. *2 add’l TWN beds avail upon request.

The space
Downstairs you will find the sitting area, dining area, kitchen, master bedroom and master bathroom.

The sitting area has a sofa and two reading chairs. The fireplace isn’t functional but creates such a cozy atmosphere for reading and/or enjoying the company of your travel companions.

The kitchen is a full kitchen with dining area that easily sits 6. Efficiency sized dishwasher, standard stove/oven, and refrigerator/freezer. Fully stocked with dishes and cutlery. Stay in and cook or, tell you family none of the drawers and cabinets open and make them take you out to dinner. 😉

The master bedroom has a king size bed and a 42” inch tv with Dish. There is a sliding pocket door on the Master bathroom. The washer and dryer are tucked away perfectly in the linen closet beside the walk in shower.

The second floor is the perfect space for up to 5 more guests. A queen bed awaits you at the left portion of the loft while 3 twin size beds can be found to your right. The tv upstairs is located so that the 3 twin beds can watch dvds. Another full bathroom with a tub is there to accommodate upstairs guests.
*2 additional twin beds are available for setup, request must be made prior to arrival.

The back porch has rocking chairs and two picnic tables. Take in sounds of the birds while you drink your early morning coffee.

Guest access
While the property is listed as a short term rental, this property is still a second home for the owners. You will find some personal items as they do frequent the property regularly. We ask that you be respectful of personal items and storage areas. Closets can be used by guests but it will be considered a “shared” space as some of the owner’s belongings are there.

I also ask that you please notify us when you leave so that we can get started on readying the rental for the next guests.
