Located mid-lake (halfway between Guntersville and Scottsboro) and just 0.2 mi from the Mink Creek boat ramp, The Honey Hole is the perfect cabin for the fisherman or family,

As you drive up Jeffery Rd The Honey Hole will be the second cabin on your left. On the way to the cabin, you'll pass the Mink Creek Boat ramp on the right with many other ramps such as the Waterfront boat ramp, Goose Pond and many others very close.

You'll enter the property and park up to 2 vehicles or boats under the lighted carport that has power to charge your batteries after a long day of fishing. There's a grill and patio out front with a table and chairs allowing for some time outside.

As you enter the cabin, the kitchen and great room area are to your right and the bedrooms are to your left. The large kitchen includes everything you'll need to make memorable meals. Your Kitchen includes full sized appliances including a dishwasher as well as a microwave, coffee maker and filters, toaster. Cookware, dishes and flatware are also included.

The large open concept area allows for great communication whether you're in the kitchen or great room area. You're spacious great room offers comfortable seating on leather couches, the half bath, a wall mounted big screen television powered by DirecTV and an awesome full sized pool table.

The cabin is a one bedroom and one bathroom. Small but just perfect for a couple. Absolutely no pets at this property ( fee for pets on property is $250). Please don’t take things ( towels, throws, etc.) from the property, you will incur a fee ranging $20-$100. This cabin can only occupy 3 people ( if you have more than three ( you may incur a fee of $50 a person).

This cabin was built in the late 1890's. It sits on 15 acres and surrounded by natures beauty. Come relax in one of the rocking chairs on the front porch and listen to natures sound. The cabin is surrounded by green grass and shade. Inside the Cabin, you will find brochures of activities you can do and see while your stay here.
There is room for two boats with an electric outlet on the front porch to charge your battery. There is a grill for you too cook your catch.

This cabin was built in the late 1800’s. The rooms were built smaller in size and they did not make the ceilings very tall. If you are a very tall person. You might have to watch your head when entering and using the kitchen. The bathroom is a new addition so the ceilings are tall. We hope this unique cabin will tempt you to come and stay.

This cabin is perfect for a couples romantic retreat. Single bedroom, one bath cabin. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, a balcony leading out of the bedroom that overlooks the beginning of a 20 acre wooded lot. A custom large walk In shower with a clear glass door. Nicely decorated throughout and has a very warming feeling as soon as you walk in. Its fully stocked with kitchen utensils and pans. The cast iron skillets are to be used if you wish as well. We have a charcoal grill on the porch for those who like to cookout. The HOT TUB is a favorite among guest, perfect mood to light up the large outdoor firepit at night and sit back in the private hot tub, such a romantic and relaxing experience. The cabin sits at the front of a 20 acre lot that puts you right at natures door step. Great phone service and you can be in town within a 8 minutes drive. We are very close to Weiss lake at 17 minutes, Fort Payne reservoir at 10 minutes and Dekalb County lake at 20 minutes. So bring those boats and kayaks for some great fishing.

Welcome to the Lagniappe Lodge – our own hidden slice of tranquil mountain life. We named our place the Lagniappe Lodge because the word “Lagniappe” is a Cajun word (pronounced lan-‘yap) that means “a little something extra” and that is exactly what this place is – full of extra features and surprises.

If you are looking for to stay at a place that is unique - look no further. All of our power is solar-generated and we now have high-speed Internet!!

The space
We now have high-speed Internet through Starlink, so you can stay connected while enjoying the isolation and tranquility of the property, while unwinding from the distractions of today’s busy life. We also have a back-up generator to ensure there is always adequate power to the cabin.

The Lagniappe Lodge is a 3,000 sq foot, 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom cabin with a spacious loft and can sleep 8 guests comfortably. The entire cabin consists of an open floor plan with multiple sitting areas to relax and visit. The cabin is filled with special architectural features, including:
- Vaulted all-wood ceilings
- Reclaimed wooden beams throughout the house, sourced from the original Atlantic City boardwalk
- Floor to ceiling windows offer a magnificent view of the canyon, through reclaimed hand-blown glass windows sourced from one of the oldest courthouses in Tennessee
- Two reclaimed stained glass windows, sourced from a church in Pennsylvania and England
- Stone wall built with rocks collected from the property
- Large natural rock face mantle in the den - there is literally the side of the mountain in the living room
- Huge wrap-around deck with 1000 sq ft of space to enjoy the outdoors

The property is 18 acres of beautiful forest and rock formations, situated on the side of a canyon that overlooks Johnnie's Creek. There are two waterfalls on the property, the largest of which is visible from the deck and side patio. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting outside and listening to the sound of the waterfall. You are more than welcome to explore and hike throughout our property to fully enjoy it.

The property is equipped with security cameras to monitor the outside of the property. The cameras are positioned on the outside of the property, only where there are external doors. There are no cameras or recording devices anywhere inside of the cabin. The cameras were placed intentionally to afford guests maximum privacy on the large covered patio and wrap-around deck.

Our driveway is a gravel driveway and is steep. We recommend that only guests with SUV's or 4-wheel drive vehicles go down the driveway. The driveway is a horseshoe and should be treated as a one-way road. Do NOT attempt to back up or turn around on the driveway.

If you choose to park at the top, there is plenty of space to park in the clearing near the road.

Whether you park at the top or drive down the driveway, we have a wagon on the front porch that can be used to haul all of your luggage and supplies to the lodge. Please do not bring the wagon inside but leave it on the porch.

The space
Located mid-lake (halfway between Guntersville and Scottsboro) and just 0.2 mi from the Mink Creek boat ramp, The Honey Hole is the perfect cabin for the fisherman or family,

As you drive up Jeffery Rd The Honey Hole will be the second cabin on your left. On the way to the cabin, you'll pass the Mink Creek Boat ramp on the right with many other ramps such as the Waterfront boat ramp, Goose Pond and many others very close.

You'll enter the property and park up to 2 vehicles or boats under the lighted carport that has power to charge your batteries after a long day of fishing. There's a grill and patio out front with a table and chairs allowing for some time outside.

As you enter the cabin, the kitchen and great room area are to your right and the bedrooms are to your left. The large kitchen includes everything you'll need to make memorable meals. Your Kitchen includes full sized appliances including a dishwasher as well as a microwave, coffee maker and filters, toaster. Cookware, dishes and flatware are also included.

The large open concept area allows for great communication whether you're in the kitchen or great room area. You're spacious great room offers comfortable seating on leather couches, the half bath, a wall mounted big screen television powered by DirecTV and an awesome full sized pool table.

The two bedrooms each include a queen and twin bed. The Jack and Jill full bathroom is located between the 2 bedrooms. You'll find the cleanest bedding and freshest towels anywhere!

If you travel with a dog just ask, in many cases we're happy to have your well behaved and house broken dog as a guest too.

Hideaway cabin is located outside of Little River Canyon on top of Appalachian Mountain. Make yourself at home in this cozy cabin with sunset views from the front porch and view of a natural water/pond from the screened porch/deck. Enjoy your stay, relaxing and listening to the birds and other country sounds at night while sitting out on the screened porch or deck. The cabin has 2 bedrooms with ensuites and sofa bed. There is a full bath with a walk-in shower off the living room.

The Third Saturday Sunset Cruise-In runs from April to October. The first “Third Saturday” event is set for April 16 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event recurs monthly with the exception of September, which is when the Boom Days Festival happens in Fort Payne.

Third Saturday events include live music across the street from the historic DeKalb Theatre, a car show with more than 200 classic vehicles, and plenty of food vendors. Some businesses in downtown Fort Payne will also feature extended hours during the event.

The 127 Yard Sale is an annual event that takes place the first Thursday-Sunday in August each year. It's literally The World's Longest Yard Sale! The route spans 6 states (Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama) and is 690 miles long.
