We have a large, screened porch with additional seating to view the lake and outdoor activities. Outside there is a 4-person hot tub and fire pit with Adirondack chairs for relaxing while taking in the views. Watching the stars at night from the hot tub is amazing experience. We have very little light pollution and the number of stars that are visible to the naked eye is awe inspiring.

We have a canoe, 2 single person kayaks and a small rowboat for use on the lake. Or you can just jump in and swim. It is so refreshing on a hot day! On the far side of the lake is a very large deck for relaxing on the waterfront or for catch and release fishing. Have a seat in the swing overlooking the lake for a peaceful spot to read. There are multiple seating areas around the lake and on the hilltop for conversation and fun!

There is so much to do in the area for the outdoor adventurer such as hiking, mountain biking, fishing, or rafting and tubing. Visit the apple houses in Ellijay or Blue Ridge for all the harvest delights! There are wineries, breweries and tasty restaurants for the food explorer. When the listing states the lake is stocked it is very accurate as we stayed two nights and ended up catching over 20 bass! Taking my wife and kids out one at a time in the provided Jon boat was a real treat to hit those sweet fishing spots. What’s better than catching a 1lb bass? Watching a 10lb bass trying to steal the lure out of its mouth while you’re reeling it in! Caught it on video! My only regret is forgetting to sign the guest book before we left. But that’s okay, we’ll just sign it twice when we return because we WILL be back! Thank you for the memories."

Both of my sons loved playing in it. We even saw a few crayfish. My youngest was fishing. It is a creek-no fish..he didn't know that. MEMORIES. Birch Tree Cabin is a secluded one bedroom cabin located just a few minutes from Historic downtown Ellijay. This one-level cabin (just two easy steps and parking right at your front door) is just what you need for that quiet weekend away. The master bedroom offers a queen bed with flat screen TV and DVD player and access to a very cozy screened in porch. The living room has a sleeper sofa facing a wood burning fireplace, another TV and DVD player and even a record player (WIFI too) and more access to the screened in porch. Emerson's cabin sits on a low rise with a beautiful, panoramic view of the creek and surrounding mountains. It features one bedroom with a king bed, a second bedroom with a queen bed, and one full and one half bath. The kitchen is well equipped and features rustic cabinets with concrete counter tops. A Jotùl wood stove on a raised hearth adds a warm glow to the living room. Covered porches offer great spots for outside dining and entertaining.

2 Bedrooms: Both bedrooms are located on the 2nd floor.
Bedroom 1. The Buck bedroom is furnished with a plush King sized log bed & 42 Smart TV.
Bedroom 2. The Doe bedroom is also furnished with a plush King bed & a large 65 inch TV.

2 Bathrooms: Both are full sized with one downstairs & one upstairs. Easy walk in showers with hand held shower heads. We provide a roll of toilet paper, bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths shampoo and body wash in each.

Ultimate Game Room: 70” Smart TV and comfortable reclining leather love seat. Beside the love seat is a bunk bed with a full mattress on the bottom and a twin mattress on top. It's the perfect viewing area for sports fans and movie nights. Play Chess, professional darts, poker and even karaoke. Also included is Legends Ultimate Arcade (3600 games) and Legends Pinball. Last but not least, corn hole and horse shoes for outdoor games.

Guest access
You and your guest have complete access to the property, minus the owners closet in the Doe bedroom. You & your guest have access to the creek, but please do not cross to the far side of the creek. Please be aware and respectful at all times.

Please understand for safety reasons we do not allow children under the age of 6. We are in the woods.. so be careful of wildlife. . Please be mindful that this is our personal home. No pets allowed. We are delighted to welcome you as our guest and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do.

One of four historic cabins on our property, located just 10 minutes from Fort Mountain State Park, 25 minutes from Ellijay, and 45 minutes from Blue Ridge. Come enjoy hiking, mountain biking, local history, or simply relax by the creek that borders the property. The hosts and their dogs are happy to let you enjoy your stay in peace, or to visit and tell you more about the area!

The cabin is set on a 8 acre property, along with three other rental cabins, all original log cabins from the late 18th, early 19th century. The hosts live on the property, along with their friendly dogs. You’ll likely see them working outside, whether it be in the garden, with the chickens, or tending to the dairy goats.

On the main floor of this two story “dogtrot” cabin you’ll find a cozy living room, a full kitchen, and a full bathroom. The living room has a smart TV, books, and games. The kitchen is stocked with necessities for cooking, as well as a dining table for enjoying your meals! In the full bathroom you’ll find a washer and dryer that are available for guest use.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a full sized bed, the other with a queen sized bed. There is a half bathroom located in between the two bedrooms.

There is a front deck and a back screened-in porch to this cabin! The front deck has a swing where you can enjoy looking out onto the rest of the property. The back porch allows a secluded space for more privacy. Sammy the cat may visit you while you’re outside. This cabin has its own backyard space, and in the winter you can peek through the trees and see Fort Mountain!

All of our cabin rentals are fully furnished and include a minimum of the following unless otherwise stated in the listing:











Fully equipped kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans. Linens for each bed, 2-bath towels, 1-hand towel, 1 washcloth per person listed on the guest list, dresser or closet for clothing storage, central heat & air, washer/dryer, vacuum and/or broom and dust pan, mop, internet, and propane gas grill. In addition, we provide complimentary start-up supplies of: Toilet Tissue (1 roll per bathroom), 1- roll of paper towels, 4- kitchen garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent for at least 2 loads. Many of our cabins include more that this basic list of inventory items. The only items you'll need to bring will be food, beverages, and condiments.

You will have access to a small pond a short distance from the cabin for fishing as well as a small trail. With a short drive you have access to some of the best hiking and biking trails in North West Georgia.

About the Cohutta Wilderness
The 37,000 acre Cohutta Wilderness contains 90 miles of hiking and backpacking trails, two of which follow the Jacks and Conasauga Rivers.

Other things to note
Due to our location, roads leading to some of our rental property are steep, gravel covered and subject to change due to weather conditions. Four Wheel Drive/All Wheel Drive is not necessary; however, it will provide better traction and may provide peace of mind.

We are located an hour and a half north of Atlanta. The cabin is located off of State Highway 52 on a 129 acre development with a gated, gravel road access. You will need to provide your own transportation.

The cabin rental is fully furnished and includes a minimum of the following.
Basic stocked kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker (Keurig with pods provided), dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, seasonings, pots, and pans.

**BEDROOMS**

This delightful hideaway accommodates 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom is on the main level of the home and is fitted with a queen-size bed and the upstairs master bedroom has a king-sized bed with an attached bathroom with a walk-in shower. Upstairs, on the main level, you will also find a beautiful private screened balcony with two wooden rockers.

**BATHROOMS**

There are two full bathrooms in the home, each of them stocked with all the essentials you need for the duration of your stay.

The bathroom on the main floor is a large combination shower and tub right across from the bedroom on the main level. The full bathroom upstairs is attached to the kind bedroom, this beautiful shower has walk-in access. Worry about nothing with these thoughtfully stocked bathrooms that provide everything you need and more.

**KITCHEN & LOUNGE**

The brilliant and breezy kitchen is completely furnished with every one of the apparatuses, utensils and cookware you really want to feel at ease. This brilliant design makes it easy to move around the kitchen. The kitchen is also equipped with a dining table that seats up to 4 guests.

The lounge area is situated on the main level of the home and is furnished with a large comfortable couch and recliner. In the living room, you will also find a smart TV that has a Roku device equipped with all your favorite streaming platforms.

**OUTSIDE SPACE**

The exterior area of this home has a steaming hot tub on a private deck. On the deck there is a cozy fire table that has additional seating around it. When you walk downstairs behind the house you will find a covered wooden swing where you can enjoy the morning sip of coffee. If you want to enjoy S'mores or a soothing fire, there's also a fire pit in the backyard.

Guest will have access to the entire home except the storage closet.

Please note that our property is nestled in the mountains amidst a wooded area, which means that the open spaces and outdoor sitting areas may be exposed to leaves, dust, pollen, and other natural elements. After a few days from the last cleaning, these outside areas may accumulate leaves, pollen, and some dust due to their exposure. We appreciate your understanding in this regard.

This space has been prepared for guests traveling from out of town! We love to host guests from out of town who have previously stayed in short-term rentals and earned favorable reviews. While we appreciate the interest in staying with our property, please note that we do not cater to guests who live in the area and are looking for an alternate venue for their affairs or events and reserve the right to turn these guests away.

Firewood is not provided. There will be a $500 fine for fires left unattended or fires that were not put out prior to leaving or retiring for the night. We don't want any embers be blown over to the nearby trees/woods, or anything that can potentially set it on fire.

Guests give permission to the property manager to use a third-party to screen their identity and check criminal databases to confirm their reservation. Complete terms regarding the guest screening can be provided by the property manager. You may receive an email to complete your screening. The space:
This 2 bedroom - 2 bathroom cabin is ideal for guests and families who are looking for a relaxing and unique getaway! Whether you are wanting to curl up with a book, play games in our private yard or simply take in the amazing views, this place is perfect for any kind of adventurer!

Each bedroom includes a queen bed, suitcase rack and a private bathroom with a shower. Each bathroom has toiletries for guests to enjoy and plenty of towels for those staying multiple nights.

Our kitchen comes stocked with cooking utensils, spices, coffee, tea and plenty of sugar. Our kitchen table seats 4 comfortably and even offers a sunset view if you decide to stay in. The laundry room is located next to the kitchen and is available for all guests to use exclusively.

Our thoughtfully decorated living room comes complete with plenty of cozy space to relax, a wood burning fireplace, plenty of extra blankets, unique lighting, stacks of board games and a TV for those wanting to end the night with a classic movie.

And for our families who are traveling with small kids, we provide a Pack-and-Play, child gate, outlet covers, utensils and plates, sippy cups and books for your family to enjoy :)

Our guests have full access to the house, garage and property and will check in/out with a smart lock. The garage has enough space for 1 vehicle and we ask that no more than 2 cars are parked in the driveway at a time.

Other things to note:
Our gravel driveway is shared with 4 other homes, so we ask that guests respect our neighbors privacy by keeping all vehicles parked in our driveway/garage and please keep the outside noises to a minimum after 9PM.

The neighborhood dog, Lucy, might make an appearance to greet any new guests, so please do not be alarmed if you see her or any other animals while staying at our cabin.

Please also remember that this is a cabin located near the woods on the face of a mountain. This means there may be mud, wind, pollen, bugs, snakes, temporary power outages, dirt, leaves, dust, and fallen trees. There are bears and bees and crickets and frogs that can be noisy. Be mindful of outdoor animals and please do not leave food or drinks outside near the porch/hot tub. The driveway is made of gravel and can get icy during the winter months (we will allow cancellations due to inclement weather but require the guest to contact us 24 hours prior to arrival). The cabin is professionally cleaned after every single guest, but we do expect the guests to do minimal tidying up before check out.

Enjoy Carters Lake - the deepest lake in Georgia! for renting boats, kayaks, paddleboards and fishing. Catecay river offers tubing, kayaking and fishing.

There is short gravel road to get to this amazing spot but once you are there you will forget about everything. Don't need a 4X4 but it would be nice to have something a bit powerful (truck, suv or minivan etc) to get to the top of the mountain - the view is your reward!

About cabins in the woods: There is wildlife and there are bugs. Pack bug repellent with deet. The outdoor spaces are cleaned after each stay; HOWEVER, there will still be cobwebs bc those come back almost instantaneously. In the spring/summer pollen will accumulate very quickly despite cleaning as well. There is a hose and broom handy if you need those during your stay. Be mindful and watch for wild animals. Always secure all trash in bear-proof bins. The roads leading to the cabin are windy and the very last stretch are not paved but graded.

Lots of wildlife! Excellent bird watching! Have spotted various woodpeckers & owls, indigo buntings, and summer tanagers as well as all of the regular GA birds. Bears, coyote, bobcats - have all been spotted on the mountain.

Bring firewood for the campfire ring. Propane for gas grill provided. Indoor fireplace is gas and easy to use.

The cabin is set on a 8 acre property, along with three other rental cabins, all original log cabins from the late 18th, early 19th century. The hosts live on the property, along with their friendly dogs. You’ll likely see them working outside, whether it be in the garden or with the chickens.

Everything is easy to find in this cozy one story. There is a kitchen stocked with some essentials for cooking meals and a living room furnished for relaxation. The bedroom has a king bed and connects to a full bathroom.

There are books, puzzles, and games for entertainment!

The front porch looks out on the back section of woods, and while two of the three other cabins are visible from the porch, there is a unique sense of privacy.

Amenities include a king sized bed, a 65 inch smart TV so you can stream all your favorite shows, and a DVD player if you want to bring movies to catch up on. You will have access to a small pond a short distance from the cabin for fishing as well as a small trail. With a short drive you have access to some of the best hiking and biking trails in North West Georgia.

Due to our location, roads leading to some of our rental property are steep, gravel covered and subject to change due to weather conditions. Four Wheel Drive/All Wheel Drive is not necessary; however, it will provide better traction and may provide peace of mind.

We are located an hour and a half north of Atlanta. The cabin is located off of State Highway 52 on a 129 acre development with a gated, gravel road access. You will need to provide your own transportation.

The space
This 2 bedroom - 2 bathroom cabin is ideal for guests and families who are looking for a relaxing and unique getaway! Whether you are wanting to curl up with a book, play games in our private yard or simply take in the amazing views, this place is perfect for any kind of adventurer!

Each bedroom includes a queen bed, suitcase rack and a private bathroom with a shower. Each bathroom has toiletries for guests to enjoy and plenty of towels for those staying multiple nights.

Our kitchen comes stocked with cooking utensils, spices, coffee, tea and plenty of sugar. Our kitchen table seats 4 comfortably and even offers a sunset view if you decide to stay in. The laundry room is located next to the kitchen and is available for all guests to use exclusively.

Our thoughtfully decorated living room comes complete with plenty of cozy space to relax, a wood burning fireplace, plenty of extra blankets, unique lighting, stacks of board games and a TV for those wanting to end the night with a classic movie.

And for our families who are traveling with small kids, we provide a Pack-and-Play, child gate, outlet covers, utensils and plates, sippy cups and books for your family to enjoy :)

Our guests have full access to the house, garage and property and will check in/out with a smart lock.

Other things to note
Our gravel driveway is shared with 4 other homes, so we ask that guests respect our neighbors privacy by keeping all vehicles parked in our back driveway and please keep the outside noises to a minimum after 9PM.

The neighborhood dog, Lucy, might make an appearance to greet any new guests, so please do not be alarmed if you see her or any other animals while staying at our cabin.

Please also remember that this is a cabin located near the woods on the face of a mountain. This means there may be mud, wind, pollen, bugs, snakes, temporary power outages, dirt, leaves, dust, and fallen trees. There are bears and bees and crickets and frogs that can be noisy. Be mindful of outdoor animals and please do not leave food or drinks outside near the porch/hot tub. The driveway is made of gravel and can get icy during the winter months (we will allow cancellations due to inclement weather but require the guest to contact us 24 hours prior to arrival). The cabin is professionally cleaned after every single guest, but we do expect the guests to do minimal tidying up before check out.

Experience the mountains of North Georgia at this full-time homestead! One of four historic cabins on our property, located just 10 minutes from Fort Mountain State Park, 25 minutes from Ellijay, and 45 minutes from Blue Ridge. Come enjoy hiking, mountain biking, local history, or simply relax by the creek that borders the property. The hosts and their dogs are happy to let you enjoy your stay in peace, or to visit and tell you more about the area!

The space
The cabin is set on a 8 acre property, along with three other rental cabins, all original log cabins from the late 18th, early 19th century. The hosts live on the property, along with their friendly dogs. You’ll likely see them working outside, whether it be in the garden or with the chickens.

On the main floor of this two story “dogtrot” cabin you’ll find a cozy living room, a full kitchen, and a full bathroom. The living room has a smart TV, books, and games. The kitchen is stocked with necessities for cooking, as well as a dining table for enjoying your meals! In the full bathroom you’ll find a washer and dryer that are available for guest use.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a full sized bed, the other with a queen sized bed. There is a half bathroom located in between the two bedrooms.

There is a front deck and a back screened-in porch to this cabin! The front deck has a swing where you can enjoy looking out onto the rest of the property. The back porch allows a secluded space for more privacy. Sammy the cat may visit you while you’re outside. This cabin has its own backyard space, and in the winter you can peek through the trees and see Fort Mountain!

Guests are welcome to explore all 8 acres! There is a stream that borders an edge of the property and a parcel of woods that is great for walking.

If you prefer to hang close to the cabin, there is a fire pit for roasting marshmallows.

Hike the trail on the property that crosses the creek several times, or hike on the Piinhoti Trail (joins the Appalachian Trail at Benton McKaye), only a mile away.

Wildacre is located in the North Georgia mountains, off US 76/GA 282 between Ellijay and Chatsworth, GA. Near Fort Mountain State Park, Carters Lake, Chief Vann House, New Echota, outlet malls in Dalton, and antiquing in Ellijay.

The Wildacre cabin is located about 9 miles south of Chatsworth & about 15 miles west of Ellijay, GA. Wildacre occupies a little valley between the mountains on 40 private acres with no other cabins. Screened porch with table/chairs, rockers & swing. Hammock & picnic tables by creek. Gas grill by kitchen door & also a park-style charcoal grill. Lawn games, hiking trails on property. Only .4 of a mile to the Pinhoti Trailhead parking lot., which connects with the Appalachian Trail at Benton-McKaye.

Enjoy the indoor sauna and enormous jacuzzi tub with panoramic views, or head outside to the large hot tub to see the stars. With a king-sized bed, loft, copper farmhouse sink, WiFi and satellite TV you won’t be roughing it!

Strictly non-smoking in and out. *If there is snow or ice on the road, guests may cancel.

The space
We just added a new loft with a metal ladder, two double beds, and a desk- check it out!

Please note this cabin is small and cozy- about 800sq ft. Common areas include a walking trail and pond across the road. Well water is from a delicious mountain spring. The road is a steep grade, rock road that can get very slick and sometimes muddy. An SUV or truck is recommended, and 4WD is best, but we drive a regular car. Extra bed is in the loveseat. It folds out and has a gel mattress- as do the bunks. We make exceptions for children in some circumstances. Please contact us so we can evaluate whether the loft space, with its high metal ladder and hatch, is appropriate.

Please also remember that this is a very small cabin. It is deep in the woods on the face of a mountain. There is a wood burning fireplace inside. This means there may be mud, wind, pollen, bugs, snakes, temporary power outages, dirt, leaves, dust, and fallen trees. We have real furs inside the cabin in various locations. You may encounter an animal hair. There might be a spider or a cricket. Pollen or ashes or leaves could settle on the porch or ledges with the blowing wind. There are bears and bees and crickets and frogs that are pretty noisy... normal cabin things. The rock road is STEEP and narrow. You should not drive on it with ice or snow. The cabin is professionally cleaned after every single guest, but please keep in mind that this is a remote (albeit very cute and fancy) CABIN. We also have a Ring camera for your safety and so we can verify the guests. This is only pointed at the property entrance.

Guest access
Entire property. Unless otherwise indicated on posted signs, contents of cabinets, armoire, drawers, fridge or freezer are our personal property and aren’t for guest use. Guests should not access the mechanical closet, or go near the edges of or off of the deck beyond the hot tub. No standing on the loft hatch, leaning on the loft rail, or horseplay on the loft ladder. Do not attempt to take bags, luggage, or other items up to the loft. The pond is for guest use, and includes an additional fire pit. The wood in the front yard wood holder is not for guest use (you must supply your own). There are some catfish in the pond.

Other things to note
If the weather gets icy, you may be stuck. We will allow cancellation.

Be mindful of bears on Fort Mountain. Do not bring food outdoors. There is generally is no trash disposal outside of the cabin or otherwise on the property outdoors. Trash must be kept indoors. We are experimenting with a “bear proof” can behind the wood holder if you need to move a bag during a longer stay. We will see if it is really bear proof! 🐻

Thoroughly clean the grill before you go to bed at night. Completely cover the hot tub when not in use (the bears will tear it up).

You must completely shower before entering the hot tub. No deodorant, makeup, lotion, bug spray, hair product, or perfume can contact the water. If you have long hair, please tie it back. The hot tub is sanitized between guests- please help us maintain our water quality. DO NOT bring glass or candles or electronics near or into the hot tub!!

If you are staying more than two nights, we may leave hot tub sanitizing products for your use strictly in conformity with product packaging instructions.

If you break or completely use up something like a candle, please take a picture and let us know.

The space
Located within several acres of secluded forest, Grassy Mountain View cabin is ideal for the nature lover, ready to explore the North Georgia Mountains, and the cabin dweller, eager to withdraw from everyday life. The cabin comfortably accommodates up to 6-7 guests, with several entertainment and recreation areas, such as a fire pit, recreation room, and comfortable living area around one of two gas fireplaces. The cabin has high-speed internet and several TVs, but most engaging are the breathtaking views of the mountains that surround the cabin. From the comfort of the indoors or on the patio, you have panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and a perfect view of both Grassy Mountain and Bald Knob. The hiking, mountain biking, and exploring options are endless nearby in the  Chattahoochee National forest or Fort Mountain State Park. The cabin even has a few small trails within our own development. After a long day on the trails, guests are welcome to dip into the spa hot tub or schedule an in-cabin massage.

3. *House Rules*:
- *No Smoking*: Smoking is not allowed inside the house.
- *Pets*: Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
- *Parties/Events*: The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, so we ask that you respect our no-party policy and observe quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM.

4. *Jacuzzi Safety*: The Jacuzzi is not fenced, so please supervise children at all times when using the jacuzzi area.

5. *Security Cameras*: There are 3 exterior security cameras—two at the front door and one in the backyard. These are for your safety and do not monitor any indoor spaces.

6. *Parking*: The property includes free parking
