If you think of it as an Airbnb and not a hotel you will love it. Pros: Unique rooms. Very clean! Small living area downstairs and loft style bedroom upstairs. The bed was very comfortable! Location is great. Right down the street from downtown. Private and relatively quiet. Cons: We didn’t get our email with the check in codes until 20 minutes AFTER check in time. Thankfully we didn’t need it by check in time. There was no sugar for the coffee, plenty of other substitutes. But no front desk to go to get what is missing. Not a big deal just something to note - bring extra of what you need with you like you would an Airbnb. The body wash and hand soap provided is a watery consistency. I recommend bringing your own. Shampoos was fine. Parking: in the back on a gravel lot. Don’t park under the trees! They rain sapp all over your car. Common area/small businesses: Everyone is very friendly! The restaurants close at 6p on weekends and 8p on weekdays. So we never got to eat at any of them(we eat later than 6p). The bar on the corner inside is nice. Drinks were very good! Train: there is a train that runs behind the parking lot. Other than the occasional train horn it’s surprisingly is quiet. And it runs frequently. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again when we are in Dalton!"

In the master bedroom, we have a comfortable queen bed, night table and 9 drawer chest to store all of your belongings. In addition, we have a closet for your hanging items. Our work station with monitor, keyboard, and mouse are ready to plug in your laptop in case the need arises. We have high speed fiber internet access and WIFI that reaches out to the fishing deck. The master has a connected bathroom with a corner shower and vanity with plenty of storage shelves.

There is a second full bathroom with large shower, vanity, plenty of storage shelving and full size laundry available.

In the second bedroom, also known as the bunk room, we have 2 twin beds over 2 queen beds able to sleep 6. There is a 9 drawer chest and closet for storing all your belongings.

Each bedroom and the living room has a Roku equipped TV to access your streaming services.

In the living area we have a couch, rocking chair and armchair for lounging around, watching TV or enjoying the cozy wood burning stove. We have selection of DVDs for children and families as well as board games, puzzles and playing cards for leisure indoor time.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with supplies to create meals for your family (pots and pans, crock pot, Instant Pot, Vitamix blender, griddle and more). There is a drip style coffee pot and electric water kettle to start your day with a warm beverage.

We have a large, screened porch with additional seating to view the lake and outdoor activities. Outside there is a 4-person hot tub and fire pit with Adirondack chairs for relaxing while taking in the views. Watching the stars at night from the hot tub is amazing experience. We have very little light pollution and the number of stars that are visible to the naked eye is awe inspiring.

We have a canoe, 2 single person kayaks and a small rowboat for use on the lake. Or you can just jump in and swim. It is so refreshing on a hot day! On the far side of the lake is a very large deck for relaxing on the waterfront or for catch and release fishing. Have a seat in the swing overlooking the lake for a peaceful spot to read. There are multiple seating areas around the lake and on the hilltop for conversation and fun!

There is so much to do in the area for the outdoor adventurer such as hiking, mountain biking, fishing, or rafting and tubing. Visit the apple houses in Ellijay or Blue Ridge for all the harvest delights! There are wineries, breweries and tasty restaurants for the food explorer. Lots of fun shopping options in Ellijay or Blue Ridge for those who like to leisurely stroll and window shop.

When the listing states the lake is stocked it is very accurate as we stayed two nights and ended up catching over 20 bass! Taking my wife and kids out one at a time in the provided Jon boat was a real treat to hit those sweet fishing spots. What’s better than catching a 1lb bass? Watching a 10lb bass trying to steal the lure out of its mouth while you’re reeling it in! Caught it on video! My only regret is forgetting to sign the guest book before we left. But that’s okay, we’ll just sign it twice when we return because we WILL be back! Thank you for the memories."

- "We picked Ellijay for a 3 day weekend for a quick getaway and somewhere that my husband could mountain bike. This was a perfect spot for us. The property is very well kept. The cabin is well stocked, had everything we needed, as is the RV camper. There is a large fire pit with plenty of wood. The little stream and bridge are a cute addition and you can relax in hammocks or the swing next to the stream. There's an extra building which I don't know what it is but it reminded us of a little old town store. There is also uphill hiking on the other side of the bridge. We brought 2 of our dogs and they loved running around, staying right near us, and playing in the stream. The MTB trails were only 6 minutes away which was very convenient. Downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge were very close by and we were able to enjoy both. We have stayed in the area many times and this is a place we would definitely consider staying in again."

The cabin is set on a 8 acre property, along with three other rental cabins, all original log cabins from the late 18th, early 19th century. The hosts live on the property, along with their friendly dogs. You’ll likely see them working outside, whether it be in the garden, with the chickens, or tending to the dairy goats.

On the main floor of this two story “dogtrot” cabin you’ll find a cozy living room, a full kitchen, and a full bathroom. The living room has a smart TV, books, and games. The kitchen is stocked with necessities for cooking, as well as a dining table for enjoying your meals! In the full bathroom you’ll find a washer and dryer that are available for guest use.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a full sized bed, the other with a queen sized bed. There is a half bathroom located in between the two bedrooms.

There is a front deck and a back screened-in porch to this cabin! The front deck has a swing where you can enjoy looking out onto the rest of the property. The back porch allows a secluded space for more privacy. Sammy the cat may visit you while you’re outside. This cabin has its own backyard space, and in the winter you can peek through the trees and see Fort Mountain!

Fully equipped kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans. Linens for each bed, 2-bath towels, 1-hand towel, 1 washcloth per person listed on the guest list, dresser or closet for clothing storage, central heat & air, washer/dryer, vacuum and/or broom and dust pan, mop, internet, and propane gas grill. In addition, we provide complimentary start-up supplies of: Toilet Tissue (1 roll per bathroom), 1- roll of paper towels, 4- kitchen garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent for at least 2 loads. Many of our cabins include more that this basic list of inventory items. The only items you'll need to bring will be food, beverages, and condiments.

Enjoy the indoor sauna and enormous jacuzzi tub with panoramic views, or head outside to the large hot tub to see the stars. With a king-sized bed, loft, copper farmhouse sink, WiFi and satellite TV you won’t be roughing it! Strictly non-smoking in and out. *If there is snow or ice on the road, guests may cancel. We just added a new loft with a metal ladder, two double beds, and a desk- check it out! Please note this cabin is small and cozy- about 800sq ft. Common areas include a walking trail and pond across the road. Well water is from a delicious mountain spring. The road is a steep grade, rock road that can get very slick and sometimes muddy. An SUV or truck is recommended, and 4WD is best, but we drive a regular car. Extra bed is in the loveseat. It folds out and has a gel mattress- as do the bunks. We make exceptions for children in some circumstances. Please contact us so we can evaluate whether the loft space, with its high metal ladder and hatch, is appropriate. Please also remember that this is a very small cabin. It is deep in the woods on the face of a mountain. There is a wood burning fireplace inside. This means there may be mud, wind, pollen, bugs, snakes, temporary power outages, dirt, leaves, dust, and fallen trees. We have real furs inside the cabin in various locations. You may encounter an animal hair. There might be a spider or a cricket. Pollen or ashes or leaves could settle on the porch or ledges with the blowing wind. There are bears and bees and crickets and frogs that are pretty noisy... normal cabin things. The rock road is STEEP and narrow. You should not drive on it with ice or snow. The cabin is professionally cleaned after every single guest, but please keep in mind that this is a remote (albeit very cute and fancy) CABIN. Entire property. Unless otherwise indicated on posted signs, contents of cabinets, armoire, drawers, fridge or freezer are our personal property and aren’t for guest use. Guests should not access the mechanical closet, or go near the edges of or off of the deck beyond the hot tub. No standing on the loft hatch, leaning on the loft rail, or horseplay on the loft ladder. Do not attempt to take bags, luggage, or other items up to the loft. The pond is for guest use, and includes an additional fire pit. The wood in the front yard wood holder is not for guest use (you must supply your own). There are some catfish in the pond. Be mindful of bears on Fort Mountain. Do not bring food outdoors. There is generally is no trash disposal outside of the cabin or otherwise on the property outdoors. Trash must be kept indoors. We are experimenting with a “bear proof” can behind the wood holder if you need to move a bag during a longer stay. We will see if it is really bear proof! 🐻 Thoroughly clean the grill before you go to bed at night. Completely cover the hot tub when not in use (the bears will tear it up). You must completely shower before entering the hot tub. No deodorant, makeup, lotion, bug spray, hair product, or perfume can contact the water. If you have long hair, please tie it back. The hot tub is sanitized between guests- please help us maintain our water quality. DO NOT bring glass or candles or electronics near or into the hot tub!! If you are staying more than two nights, we may leave hot tub sanitizing products for your use strictly in conformity with product packaging instructions. If you break or completely use up something like a candle, please take a picture and let us know. Thank you!

**BEDROOMS**

This delightful hideaway accommodates 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom is on the main level of the home and is fitted with a queen-size bed and the upstairs master bedroom has a king-sized bed with an attached bathroom with a walk-in shower. Upstairs, on the main level, you will also find a beautiful private screened balcony with two wooden rockers.

**BATHROOMS**

There are two full bathrooms in the home, each of them stocked with all the essentials you need for the duration of your stay.

The bathroom on the main floor is a large combination shower and tub right across from the bedroom on the main level. The full bathroom upstairs is attached to the kind bedroom, this beautiful shower has walk-in access. Worry about nothing with these thoughtfully stocked bathrooms that provide everything you need and more.

**KITCHEN & LOUNGE**

The brilliant and breezy kitchen is completely furnished with every one of the apparatuses, utensils and cookware you really want to feel at ease. This brilliant design makes it easy to move around the kitchen. The kitchen is also equipped with a dining table that seats up to 4 guests.

The lounge area is situated on the main level of the home and is furnished with a large comfortable couch and recliner. In the living room, you will also find a smart TV that has a Roku device equipped with all your favorite streaming platforms.

**OUTSIDE SPACE**

The exterior area of this home has a steaming hot tub on a private deck. On the deck there is a cozy fire table that has additional seating around it. When you walk downstairs behind the house you will find a covered wooden swing where you can enjoy the morning sip of coffee. If you want to enjoy S'mores or a soothing fire, there's also a fire pit in the backyard.

Guest will have access to the entire home except the storage closet.

Please note that our property is nestled in the mountains amidst a wooded area, which means that the open spaces and outdoor sitting areas may be exposed to leaves, dust, pollen, and other natural elements. After a few days from the last cleaning, these outside areas may accumulate leaves, pollen, and some dust due to their exposure. We appreciate your understanding in this regard.

This space has been prepared for guests traveling from out of town! We love to host guests from out of town who have previously stayed in short-term rentals and earned favorable reviews. While we appreciate the interest in staying with our property, please note that we do not cater to guests who live in the area and are looking for an alternate venue for their affairs or events and reserve the right to turn these guests away.

Firewood is not provided. There will be a $500 fine for fires left unattended or fires that were not put out prior to leaving or retiring for the night. We don't want any embers be blown over to the nearby trees/woods, or anything that can potentially set it on fire.

Guests give permission to the property manager to use a third-party to screen their identity and check criminal databases to confirm their reservation. Complete terms regarding the guest screening can be provided by the property manager. You may receive an email to complete your screening. Each bedroom includes a queen bed, suitcase rack and a private bathroom with a shower. Each bathroom has toiletries for guests to enjoy and plenty of towels for those staying multiple nights.

Our kitchen comes stocked with cooking utensils, spices, coffee, tea and plenty of sugar. Our kitchen table seats 4 comfortably and even offers a sunset view if you decide to stay in. The laundry room is located next to the kitchen and is available for all guests to use exclusively.

Guest access:
Our guests have full access to the house, garage and property and will check in/out with a smart lock. The garage has enough space for 1 vehicle and we ask that no more than 2 cars are parked in the driveway at a time.

Other things to note:
Our gravel driveway is shared with 4 other homes, so we ask that guests respect our neighbors privacy by keeping all vehicles parked in our driveway/garage and please keep the outside noises to a minimum after 9PM.

The neighborhood dog, Lucy, might make an appearance to greet any new guests, so please do not be alarmed if you see her or any other animals while staying at our cabin.

Please also remember that this is a cabin located near the woods on the face of a mountain. This means there may be mud, wind, pollen, bugs, snakes, temporary power outages, dirt, leaves, dust, and fallen trees. There are bears and bees and crickets and frogs that can be noisy. Be mindful of outdoor animals and please do not leave food or drinks outside near the porch/hot tub. The driveway is made of gravel and can get icy during the winter months (we will allow cancellations due to inclement weather but require the guest to contact us 24 hours prior to arrival). The cabin is professionally cleaned after every single guest, but we do expect the guests to do minimal tidying up before check out.
