- "Adorable little cabin with an amazing view." - "The cabin overall was perfect, including the driveway. Sometimes cabins in the mountains are on a steep incline that require 4 Wheel Drive to get up to, this one has a flat driveway and is located 30 minutes from everywhere. Beautiful views on the way up and in the cabin. They had everything for those nights you want to cook, with pots/pans. The kitchen is small but mighty! The hot tub worked well. And overall the cabin is well maintained! A lot of cabins I been too, you can tell the owners dont care. They just VRBO it until the house isnt profitable and sell it as a fixer-upper. The one deduction i gave is the check in process. You will need to call in advance, versus most VRBOs provide a written instructions. But it worked just as well. And we could ask questions. The Captains are super friendly, and were more than helpful after i goofed not realizing i needed to call. They were quick to respond! Highly recommend!!"

NO EVENTS. NO PETS, due to the unique situation of farm activities and farm animals present, no outside animals are allowed for their own safety and the safety of our farm animals. As our reviews reflect, we work hard to make the cottage clean, inviting and a place to make lifetime memories. Whether you are traveling with several family members, a group of friends, or only a couple - we know that you will find relaxation on the big porch rocking chairs or around the fire pit. There is just something so amazingly peaceful about watching the hens and cattle going about their leisurely lives of grazing and resting. The property has plenty of room to toss a ball or frisbee; play flashlight tag, chase fireflies or catch snowflakes on your tongue. There is a cornhole board and bags set for outside and board games for inside. We have decorated the cottage in an inviting, comfortable country theme. There are books and inside toys for the children to enjoy (if you can ever get them inside).
The kitchen offers everything needed for your stay. With two separate round tables and bar stools, you can all enjoy a sit-down meal in the house - or a picnic style meal in the pole barn which is lighted with strings of clear lights.
The master bedroom has a queen sleigh bed, large walk in closet and a full bath. The south bedroom has a queen sleigh bed and a twin bed with antique dresser. The north bedroom has a unique door-headboard, queen bed and a twin bed with beautiful views of the hay barn. The south and north bedrooms share a full bath and walk in closet. The living room has TV with cable and DVD, seating for 10 and lots of floor space to play games. There is also a game table in the living room. The kitchen/dining room is very spacious with beautiful oak table/chairs and an island with bar stool seating. The kitchen is fully furnished with stove, oven, side-by-side refrigerator with water dispenser, dishwasher, microwave, coffeepot, blender, dishes and cookware.

The Big Porch Cottage does indeed have a big porch with rocking chairs that invite total relaxation. Hixson and other Chattanooga 'burbs are 15-20 minutes away for those who need a trip to the city. Our youngest, age 6, loved feeding the calf and chickens but I think she loved the Pavillion most of all because she could ride her scooter and just run around. She and her older cousin played outside till nearly 11 one night--when was the last time kids played outside, much less outside after dark? There are also board games which replaced screen time for our family. The porch would be an excellent place for a group of painters to find inspiration for their art or writing or just meditating. I'd love to stay here again some day, just me, my easel, canvases and paints! :) The host family works incredibly hard to make this the most inviting home away from home. Rachel's place is located in Signal Mountain, TN. The cottage has a complete kitchen, bedroom with a queen bed, a murphy bed (full), bathroom w/shower and washer and dryer, a sun room in which you can have a cup of coffee as you look out into the fenced in back yard that has a garden and bird feeders. The back yard also has a fire pit with plenty of fire wood. It has a private parking area that is easy to enter and close to the front door.

Signal Mountain is unique in that it is a small town that was once voted the best place in TN to raise a family. It has a small town feel but yet close to all the attractions of the city of Chattanooga. Not only is it a very safe place stay, Signal Mountain has many attractions of its own for you and your family. Many people have stayed at Rachel's place to enjoy the hiking and outdoor activities.

If you love trails, gardens, 19th century home and out buildings, having a picnic with your family, McCoy's Farm is the place for you. McCoy's Farm was gifted to the town of Signal Mountain. With the Donations and volunteer labor of the people of Signal Mountain they restored this residence that had sit unattended for many yrs and brought it back to life. It is a wonderful place to visit. It is also free and only about 1 1/2 miles from Rachel's Place.

They have several Bluegrass bands perform that travel from all over just to put on a real show. It is not free but for just $5 you will have a great time. Convenient to everything.... but a million miles away. Sparrows nest is located just 20 minutes from downtown Chattanooga! This 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin is located next to Prentice Cooper State Forest near Signal Mountain and The Tennessee River.

Completed at the close of the summer of 2016, this cabin is complete with a full kitchen, living room, spacious bathroom, a queen bedroom and children's room with two twin beds. It also boast a private patio w/ hot tub, fire pit and outdoor eating for 4-6 located behind the cabin. This cabin backs up to Prentice Cooper WMA.
A spacious front porch provides the perfect spot for watching the morning mist descend upon the valley with a fresh cup of coffee in hand. Nicely appointed rooms, high ceilings and exposed beam work create a rustic retreat you will not want to leave! This cabin sleeps two adults and two children very comfortable. There is additional sleeping to accommodate guest (2) on the fold out sofa in the living room for up to 6 guest total.

Creekside Cabin is a beautifully converted wood shop & lumber barn that is cozy, spacious & private. Nestled at the edge of the woods on our five acres, it's just minutes to everything Chattanooga has to offer! Upstairs is a spacious queen bedroom and full bath. The Italian-made modular staircase is similar to a "ships ladder" with alternating treads (see photos), and may not be appropriate for those that are physically challenged. Downstairs is a living area with comfy furniture, Smart TV with provided Netflix, and a well equipped kitchen and dining area. Relax on the covered wrap-around deck and enjoy the sounds of the creek, birds, squirrels and deer.

In addition to the cabin itself, guests at Creekside also have full access to some shared spaces. Just outside the cottage is a beautiful timber-frame pavilion. It's an incredible space with a full chef's kitchen, 36" gas range, 10' dining bar, 12' hand-built farm table, wood-fired oven, huge professional charcoal grill/smoker, plenty of seating, fans, chandeliers, and lots of character!

Alongside the cabin and pavilion, guests will enjoy sounds of the creek cascading down the hillside as it wraps around the spacious fire pit area landscaped with huge mountain boulders.

Yes, we have lightning-fast fiber optic internet and WiFi, in fact, we're known for some of the fastest internet in the U.S which we're very proud of :)

"What's the monthly rate? Can I lease month to month?"

If there's a full month available with no existing bookings, you're welcome to select the dates and the app will show you the pricing breakdown for your date range. We've had many guests book 30+ nights and we do offer a large 20% discount for monthly bookings. Also, for your safety and convenience, we only book through the app (no traditional leases or "under the table" agreements). If the dates are available, you're welcome to book multiple months and the app will charge you once a month (the same rhythm as a traditional lease).

"Is there a pet fee? Weight or breed restrictions?"

Yes, we require a pet fee for furry friend (dogs only, no cats). If the platform allows you to select that you’re bringing a pet, please choose that option when booking and the pet fee will be added to your pricing breakdown. You’ll be able to see the exact fee before confirming your booking.

We have no weight or breed restrictions. Pet fees are due when making your reservation. A single pet fee allows up to 2 dogs during your stay. Pets must be respectful of the space and must not damage the home in any way. Pets are not allowed on furniture and must be supervised.

"How far are you from downtown Chattanooga?"

We’re about 27 minutes from Chattanooga, it's a lovely drive.

“What’s the minimum age requirement for booking?”

"How many TV's are in the house?"

There are 3 high definition 4K TV's (living room + king bedrooms) and fast Wifi throughout the house for on demand entertainment.

Relax at this beautifully hand-crafted refined rustic cabin nestled in a hidden cove at the foot a wooded ridge. If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet, private setting, you will love Hidden Cove Cabin. Just outside of the city limits, Hidden Cove Cabin is only minutes from everything we love about Chattanooga!

Built with your comfort in mind, there are two queen bedrooms and a full bath upstairs. Both bedrooms have brand new super comfy mattresses, and each room has its own 42" smart TV. The rooms are adorned with reclaimed barnwood feature walls, and each bedroom has a different full wall photo-mural of beautiful local scenery...there's even QR codes on the murals, so you can easily find out how to get to each destination! There are shelves next to each side of the beds with convenient receptacles for charging your phones. The overhead lights have dimmers, and there are small lamps next to each side of the beds as well. Also, both bedrooms have bars (with hangers) for hanging clothes. For ultimate comfort, each bedroom has its own a/c and heat control.

The full bath has a custom-built shower, and is stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and plenty of towels, hand-towels, and wash cloths. There's also a blow dryer, disposable razors and toothbrushes, just in case.

Downstairs is a spacious open floor plan with a large well-equipped kitchen, dining table with seating for six, a half bath, and a living room with a leather sofa and full size very comfortable futon. There's a wall-mounted 52" smart TV in the living room that can be adjusted to be visible from anywhere in the room. The TV is connected to a sound bar for a really great full sound. If you need to connect to the office, or catch up on some work, there's a writing desk, and a full Gig of Wi-Fi. There's lots of natural light in the space with several large windows and french entry doors. And, like the upstairs bedrooms, there is separate a/c and heat control for the downstairs.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need to prepare even the most elaborate meals. The glass top range heats quickly and efficiently, and the oven has convection mode for speedy baking. There's a drip coffee maker, microwave, and a refrigerator/freezer, along with plenty of counter space for your creations! The lighting over the dining table is on a dimmer, perfect for low-lit romantic dining.

When the weather is right, you'll love spending time relaxing on the front porch. You're likely to hear or see plenty of wildlife...woodpeckers, owls, hawks, rabbits, fox, deer, turkeys...even an occasional bald eagle!

There's a gas grill on the front porch, ready for you to make perfect burgers, steaks or grilled veggies!

As guests of Hidden Cove Cabin, you also have full access to our large fire pit and timber-frame pavilion. We even provide firewood for you. The pavilion has a full kitchen with a gas range, a large charcoal grill, and even a wood-fired oven. There's a 10' bar facing the kitchen, and a furniture grouping to seat eight. There's also a huge farm table (seats 12). The fire pit and pavilion are shared spaces, and are also available for use by the owners and other visitors.
