You can enjoy the large yard which has a great fire pit area, or you can just set up on the wrap around porch and enjoy the view from there. It is just a short walk down to the lake if you would like to do some fishing.

The house is easily accessible. It is conveniently located 45 minutes from Chattanooga, less that 1 ½ hours drive from Knoxville or Nashville. Our house is just a short walk to the Assembly Grounds and just a few minutes drive to the University of the South located a short drive down the road in Sewanee or St. Andrews School.

The area is known for its beautiful hiking trails, waterfalls, creeks, soaring bluffs, and rock outcroppings. The town offers several shops and places to eat. Do take into mind that this is a place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of work life. So get ready to relax and enjoy time with your friends and family, the outdoors and nature.

There is a washer and dryer so no worries about running out of clean clothes. A fully equipped kitchen. A smart tv and WIFI. If there are any sport events that you don’t want to miss, you are sure to catch them at the Sewanee Inn, Shenanigans or the Blue Chair. All of these places are just about a 10 minutes drive away.

Nestled in the middle of the woods adjacent to a private, stocked pond, the outdoors spaces will enchant you before even stepping inside. Once you break the spell, the inside will not disappoint. Mountain Thyme is tastefully furnished in well-coordinated and functional pieces, all professionally chosen to enhance your vacation experience.

Mountain Thyme comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests (6 adults max) in 2 bedrooms plus a sleeping loft with bunks (no uncomfortable pull out sofa’s here). The oversized master bedroom is graced by a king-sized, Tempur-pedic mattress and premium linens. The bathroom has a shower, separate tub and makeup area. The guest bedroom downstairs features a queen bed, has dual closets and private access to the outdoors. Both bedrooms have flat screen TVs. There is an additional full bathroom on the main floor, which houses the laundry closet complete with a full-size washer and dryer.

The amazing loft has a total of 4 bunk beds and is the perfect retreat for kids (or those young at heart). It features a train table & various toys as well as an old school tabletop arcade game to keep everyone entertained for hours. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a wonderful family meal which can be enjoyed at the farmhouse style dining room table with room to seat everyone. As the evening winds down, the cozy and inviting living room is the perfect spot to relax. Enjoy the large flat screen TV with full cable and you can even access your Netflix, Hulu, or Pandora accounts on the Smart-Enabled BluRay DVD player. And yes, this cabin does have free WI-FI and your cell-phone should work just fine.

Mountain Thyme’s outdoors spaces truly are what make this cabin special. The screened-in porch, located just off the living room, seamlessly blends the indoors and out. Here you can enjoy swinging away those cool fall nights or morning coffee on a warm spring day. The upper porch is a breathtaking vantage point to enjoy the sights and sounds on the pond while lazily relaxing away the day. It’s the perfect spot to curl up with a good book in one of the uber-cozy chairs and let yourself be transported to a more relaxing pace of life.

The rear covered porch is as great spot to spy on the abundant wildlife in the woods such as deer, squirrels, raccoons, owls and a multitude of beautiful birds. Or just enjoy the peaceful sounds of rain on the metal roof. Even the side of the house has a covered space that you will appreciate when unloading the car should the weather be inclement.

The inviting fire pit features seating for everyone with adirondack chairs and bench seating is the perfect spot to share campfire stories or just become mesmerized by the dancing flames. Don’t worry about bringing wood, we’ve got that covered too. At some point, you’ll want to make a visit down to our dock on the pond, where a paddle boat awaits your voyage around the pond. Don’t forget to take a moment to feed the catfish (we have food, but they will eat most bread products). Once they have gained your trust, they may even let the adventurous pet them. There are plenty of woods to explore and special little spots to hide out and steal a moment of tranquility.

The best part of Mountain Thyme cabin is that we don’t want you to sweat the small stuff. We want your stay to be as relaxing, comfortable, and as convenient as possible. We include the the little things you typically don’t find in a cabin rental but are appreciated by our guests. Things like dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, salt & pepper, spices, batteries & more. This is our family cabin and we keep it ready to use, so enjoy the convenience of a truly ready-to-rent cabin. The kitchen is fully equipped with mixing bowls, pots, pans, utensils, griddle, blender, waffle maker and everything else you might need to prepare a perfect cabin meal. Also be sure to check the storage room off the back deck where you can find things like life preservers, fire starters, outdoor games like Bocce Ball and other stuff. And if the mood for gardening strikes you, there are tools for that, so have at it!

There are little surprises everywhere so feel free to enjoy everything available to you. Sometimes we will leave you stuff to make s’mores, a bottle of champagne or a 6-pack of beer. Who knows what you will find? We also have a variety of board games perfect for family nights around the table. The arcade game located in the loft features 50 of your favorite classics like Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, DigDug, Frogger & more—and of course it’s free play so no quarters necessary. The cabin is easily accessible on good, flat roads just a couple minutes off the Monteagle exits. It is conveniently located less that 1 ½ hours drive from Nashville or Knoxville, 2 Hours from Atlanta and only 45 minutes from Chattanooga. Our cabin is just a few short minutes from the University of the South at Sewanee, St Andrews School, The Assembly Grounds and more. The area is known for its natural beauty, with soaring bluffs, creeks, waterfalls, rock outcroppings and tons of hiking trails to discover these wonderful spots. And if you are looking for nightlife, there a surprising number local dining establishments that are sure to impress. The town of Monteagle has all of the stores you may need plus a variety of shops and artisan markets to peruse. Please note though, this is not like Pigeon Forge. Prepare to relax and enjoy time with your friends and family, the outdoors, nature and just a slower pace of life away from the hustle and bustle.

We are atop the Cumberland Plateau, and our mountain home overlooks a beautiful bluff area. With an expansive view from the dining and living rooms, as well as the primary suite, it`s easy to forget the world below and focus on family, relaxation, and time away from it all.

Guests can access all the main parts of the house. This includes the kitchen and its many amenities, including a refrigerator and freezer, the dining island that seats 6 to 8 people, the dining area that seats 6 to 8, a living room that comfortably seats the same, three lockable bedrooms, two baths, and the laundry facilities. For those working while traveling, the foyer has a built-in desk so you can still be part of the action and not miss a beat. The kitchen island has plenty of space for computers and charging as well.

Netflix is available for TV services/apps. The living room TV is a casting television and will work with your device and app once you download the Vizio app.

Plus: We have an observation deck where you can see nature from a higher vantage point, watch the stars at night, or just sit back on the swing and enjoy the surrounding view of mountains and trees.

We are on a nearby property, so we are available during your stay at the mountain lodge.

The South Cumberland Bluff House is in a quiet neighborhood with only one neighboring house. It`s serene and unique. The home is partially underground, made of area stone on the exterior, with several rooms having local barn wood on the interior. Our family has painstakingly renovated this house and is so happy to share it with others to enjoy.

Additional Guests Info: We charge $10 per person per day for each additional guest beyond the initial two.

There is plenty of parking in the driveway. We are away from the hustle and bustle of city life, but there are bike, hiking, and walking trails close by.

The TV in the living room is a `casting television.` This means you can share the TV screen using your phone or device after downloading the app. Netflix and other apps are available on the Smart TV, too.

Please text us your ETA and the time you arrive at the interstate exit. We will meet you at the property for check-in. (Remember, we are on CENTRAL Time.) If other accommodations are needed, you will need to make those known before arrival, as well.

We maintain a strict no pet and no smoking policy. Please respect the property by following these rules.

The living room television has a Roku device for easy access to Netflix or other channels you may have access to. We provide Netflix, Hulu, and ESPN+ free of charge. That TV is also `cast` capable and may be used with your smartphone for any subscription, cast-enabled channels you like to watch.

We want you to feel at home. Please find extra pillows, blankets, throws, games, and other items inside the coffee table chest and the closets in your bedroom for your use.

***Remove makeup and staining elements prior to laying in beds or on any linen or cloth surfaces! Stains from make-up, food, drinks, blood or other kinds on linens and towels will result in charge of $50 for stained linen (sheets, pillows, etc) and $10 per stained towel, $8 for hand towel or washcloth.***

If you stain something with blood, please soak towel or linen in COLD water immediately. If something is stained, please let us know so we can help get it washed and avoid permanent staining. If you hide the stained items or fail to tell us, it will result in immediate charges against your deposit. Otherwise, we will work with you to get the stains out.

Other items that are broken will result in a damage charge. You are responsible for broken plates and other dishes, glasses, stemware, etc. and you will be responsible to pay for them through the security deposit for broken and missing items. This applies to household appliances, furniture, and other home decor and accessories.

If you break something, please do not hide it or not tell us. By informing us of lost or broken dishes or items, you are being a good guest and can still receive a positive review.

The pantry contains extra paper towels, disposable drinking cups, and paper plates for your convenience.

The pantry is ready to use and has the microwave on a lower shelf. The freezer is good to store anything may want.

The fireplace in the living room is gas and can be turned on to suit your climate needs. Each bedroom is equipped with an AC unit (during the warmer seasons) and a heater (cooler seasons) for you to use as needed. DO NOT move AC/Heating units.

Both bathrooms have extra towels in the linen closets and other supplies in the same place or under the sink. We are on septic, so please do not flush personal hygiene items.

The door leading to the `basement` at the end of the hall is off-limits.

House is well decorated, comfy, and offers all the amenities you need. Excellent place to just "get away" if you're a couple but could also easily accommodate a large family or group. Be sure to visit Foster Falls to swim, Blue Chair Bakery for great coffee and breakfast, and across the street there's Lunch (that's the name, lunch only!)."

Tucked Inn is fully furnished and features three bedrooms, and two bathrooms (with heated floors), a fully furnished kitchen, upstairs living room with large screen TV, a sunroom that is just perfect for afternoon naps, and 1,000 square feet of porches and decks. Bedroom 3 has it's own entrance with a small porch and large double doors looking onto the upper deck. You'll also find a relaxing hot tub on the lower deck. Central heat and air is provided as well as a wood burning stove with plenty of firewood that provides warmth and ambiance on those cold winter nights. Wireless Internet is available.
Our guests are encouraged to enjoy our garden cottage, "Sunny Side Up". It is a lovely place to just hang out and enjoy a good book or catch a nap. The back porch of the cottage cantilevers over a forest area where deer and other forest animals have been spotted. A covered pavilion is also located near the cabin.
We hope our guests will enjoy the out of doors while visiting Tucked Inn. Hiking, walking, and biking trails are located on the property and it's always fun to sit around our large fire pit after a fun filled day in the mountains! Plenty of firewood is on hand for use in the fire pit.
Tucked Inn is located only 8 miles from the heart of Monteagle with easy access to I-24. The University of the South at Sewanee is located only minutes from Tucked Inn.

House is beautiful five bedroom home, situated in five wooded acres in Clifftops, a gated community in Monteagle, Tennessee, five minutes from Sewanee and University of the South, Monteagle Sunday School Assembly, Dubose Conference Center; offers hiking, biking, swimming in community lake and pool, (pool during summer months), canoeing and sports galore.. pet friendly -- dogs only.
Home can sleep ten (12 with sofa bed with additional charge), has four full, and one half bathrooms, comfortable kitchen, lounge, formal dining room, family room, large grounds and walking trails on property.
Configuration of bedding: 3 king bedded rooms, 1 queen bedded room and one room with 2 twin beds.

Note: no rentals to persons under 21 permitted without parents or adult family members and primary renter must be over age of 25.
We have a two night minimum to allow guests to relax and enjoy our home.

"Mountain View" is a cozy house that features the best view on scenic Monteagle Mountain. This comfortable, 2850 square feet mountain house was built in 2001 and is newly decorated. It is nestled on 5.5 acres, overlooking a dramatic 2000 foot view in Clifftops - between Sewanee and Monteagle, Tennessee. There are 900 added square feet of porch, both screened and open, a vast great room with open kitchen is an exceptional gathering place with vaulted ceiling, large stone, wood-burning fireplace, multiple seating areas and stereo with built-in speakers.

There are four bedrooms, sleeping a total of 8 people in beds. Two bedrooms are on each side of the great room. One bedroom is a master with private porch, queen bed, ceiling fan and master bath with whirlpool tub and luxury shower. A second bedroom overlooking the mountain view has a double bed and bath. The third bedroom has twin beds and bath. The fourth bedroom, also overlooking the mountain, has a double bed. There is a sofa-bed in the great room and there are 3 air mattresses.

A large, open modern kitchen has new gas stove and range and every convenience and is open to the great room. Hardwood floors are throughout and ceiling fans are in the great room and on the porches.

The home is an ideal place to relax and gaze at the mountain view which is dramatic four seasons of the year. Mountainview is located in a community called Clifftops, which has abundant wildlife, walking trails, and a quick walk to tennis, basketball, swimming and a swing set, which are directly next to the property. There are two club houses and a beautiful lake for swimming.

If you are unfamiliar with Monteagle Mountain, it is one of the most stunning natural areas of the Cumberland Plateau, designated nationally as a "bio-gem" because of its rich diversity of wildlife, trees, birds and other species.

Nearby Savage Gulf State Park has ample hiking and gorgeous more fabulous wildlife.

There are several award-winning restaurants, coffee houses and sandwich shops close by, and mountain shopping with crafts, pottery and antiques. The home is just 5 miles from the campus of the University of the South at Sewanee where there are numerous activities including the Sewanee Summer Music Festival.
