Yes, we have a long flat concrete driveway that can accommodate multiple vehicles and a boat trailer. The roads are paved and any type of vehicle can easily get to the property.

No, the property is not gated. It's located in a quiet neighborhood with very little through-traffic, only a neighbor or two now and then.

"Do you have a pet fee? Weight or breed restrictions?"

Yes, we require a pet fee for furry friend (dogs only, no cats). If the platform allows you to select that you’re bringing a pet, please choose that option when booking and the pet fee will be added to your pricing breakdown. You’ll be able to see the exact fee before confirming your booking.

We have no weight or breed restrictions. $150 pet fee is due when making your reservation. A single pet fee allows up to 2 dogs during your stay. Pets must be respectful of the space and must not damage the home in any way. Dogs must be crated when you're not home or if they're unsupervised.

I had the pleasure of growing up swimming, fishing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, cliff-jumping and tubing these lakes, but some are new to this part of the country. With that, I hope these brief details about the lake might give some helpful insights on how to make your next stay the best it can be.

Tim’s Ford Lake is a reservoir created by the Tennessee Valley Authority to power rural Tennessee with affordable hydro-electricity. (www.tva.com/energy/our-power-system/hydroelectric/tims-ford) Developed as part of the New Deal, the TVA system includes a series of reservoirs, which you can learn tons of interesting details about on the TVA website. In the 1960s, TVA flooded the Elk River valley to form Tim’s Ford Lake, which runs about 150 feet deep. This clip from George Clooney’s Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? As a result of its formation, the vast majority of the lakehouses on TVA lakes, like Tim’s Ford, are not lakeside, as you might see in other states. Most TVA lakehomes are built on hilltops or hillsides along steep shorelines, which means, while you have an amazing view of gorgeous lakes, you must go down the hill to access the lake. Our home is no exception.

We purchased this lakehouse in particular, because its lake accessibility was so much easier than any lakehouse we looked at in our search, or even any lakehouse we have rented over the last 40 years at various lakes in the TVA system. The lakehouse does not have a steep windy driveway, it does not have 6-8 flights of stairs, and it doesn’t have a treacherous path with rocky dropoffs. But it does have a gravel path, with a steep section for about 20 feet, with the detour of a short walking trail and bridge, each being about a two-minute walk from dock to the back deck.

To make the stroll through the wooded path even easier, our guests are welcome to use the two large carts in the garage to haul towels and toys to the lake. Another option is to access the lake at the community boat ramp just around the corner a couple blocks by land and by water, especially if your group has lots of gear and coolers to load onto your boat, or has guests with special physical needs who are unable to walk down the trail. If these options do not work for your group, then we wish you all the luck in finding a lakehome that best fits your needs.

The view overlooking the Lake as well as daily deer viewings were icing on an already outstanding vacation destination." - "This house is perfect for large groups. "Serenity at the Lake" gives you the peace you've been looking for to escape and relax. The house is nestled in the woods in a peaceful cul-de-sac with a view of big water that is gorgeous. The renovated lake house has rustic décor that is simple and welcoming. The 4 bedrooms have queen beds, with one having a full bottom bunk and a twin top bunk. Of the 3 bathrooms, two have single showers and the third has a standard size tub shower. The home features Wi-Fi, Roku TV, an open kitchen and dining room, and two levels of spacious covered porches. There is a TV in the main level living room and an open downstairs TV room with a large sectional couch.

The lake house has a one slip dock. The single slip boat dock is equipped with a boat lift that routinely lifts 2000 lbs. Directions for use are on the lift console. Tim’s
Ford Marina and Tim’s Ford State Park are the nearest boat launch areas.
You can park up to four vehicles at the top of the driveway and two at the house.

If you are looking for additional entertainment, you can rent a boat during your stay from the nearby marina, take a walk in the neighborhood, or explore Tims Ford State Park, which has miles of unpaved hiking and bike trails. You can also visit the Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course at Bear Trace, take a short drive to Lynchburg, TN, and visit Jack Daniels Distillery, or even take an hour and a half trip to visit Chattanooga or Nashville!

During the fall, visit the pumpkin patch at Granddaddy's Farm! Less than ten minutes from the lake house, Granddaddy's Farm is opens September 21, 2024 through the end of October. Eat at the farm, shop at the market, enjoy the hay rides and corn mazes. So much to do just minutes away!

For those visiting in the winter months, Tims Ford water levels are lowered 8-10 ft, and this means our floating dock is 100% out of the water during the winter.

Non-lake activities include hiking trails, biking, horseback riding, drive-in movies, the Beechcraft Staggerwing Museum, tours of nearby George Dickel and Jack Daniel’s distilleries, and wonderful motorcycle and sportscar routes.

Welcome to Eagles Nest! Our family saw this unique little home in 2020 and immediately fell in love with the view of Tims Ford Lake. We envisioned this as a place for families and friends to get some fresh air, enjoy each other and the incredible nature surrounding them. The inspiring views and scenary makes the atmosphere of this cozy cabin perfect for a weekend retreat.

This is the perfect location for great fishing, kayaking, swimming and exploring. The property has a large double-decker dock that can host your own boat or a rental. We have water year-round, and the fishing is great! We are 4 miles from the city marina boat ramp.

One of our favorite spots is the cabin's tiki bar, located in the middle of the deck's levels. There you'll find a grill, a TV, a fridge and a sink for food preparation, enjoying a drink outside, or just sitting peacefully and admiring the view.

*We do recommend this property for adults and older children, as there are several sets of stairs on our multi-level deck, a spiral staircase connecting the upstairs and downstairs, and a dock/bridge over water that's usually 60-70 feet deep year round. Please feel free to message us with any concerns.*

We enjoyed everything from the house down to the dock. The kids loved jumping off the dock, swimming and fishing. Kayaks and a canoe are available but we didn’t take advantage because we brought a boat. Fridges and seating on every level from the dock to the upstairs of the home. Incredible! Don’t cheat yourself. It is exactly as advertised. Also, every cleaning supply, or towel, or even a blower for the fallen leaves is there. We will be back."

House is located in private community overlooking Tims Ford Lake. Close proximity to paved golf cart path for easy access to Holiday Landing Marina and lake access. Private wooded back yard. Community has nature walking path for exploring the area.

- "We took our grown children and new granddaughter to stay at the lake house on Tim Ford’s lake. The house was beautifully decorated, clean, and stocked with everything we needed to spend the week on the lake. We used the kayaks, bicycles, and basketball court everyday. Much fun was had trying to beat the high score on the Pac-Man game. The screened in porch was perfect for relaxing outdoors without the bugs. The only drawback was that the house was so new that they haven’t had a chance to build a dock yet. That will make it perfect! We would highly recommend staying here. We hated to leave!"

We have high speed internet through Xfinity. While we do NOT have Cable TV, we have three smart TV's to access your own cable network accounts, Netflix, Hulu, amazon Prime, Disney Plus Etc. during your stay.

Bring With You:
* Life jackets- we encourage all swimmers and boaters to use life jackets for their own safety.
* Fishing Gear- for the dock or on excursions. Fishing licenses can be purchased online or at the local marina or Walmart.
* Extra beach towels for use on the lake. we have a limited amount of beach towels available for your use, but you may want to bring extra if you have several people.
*Sleeping bags or air mattresses- while we are fine with guests using sleeping bags and air mattresses to best accommodate your group with sleeping arrangements, these are not provided. please feel free to bring and use your own.
*We do provide dishwasher and laundry soap and trash bags, an initial stock of paper towels, toilet paper, complimentary hand soap, body soap, shampoo and conditioner, but you may want to bring extra if you have a lengthy stay.
*Firewood-We have a fire pit for your use, You can bring firewood or purchase at the nearby Home Depot or local gas stations.

- "My daughter-in-law reached out around Christmastime about taking another fun family trip to celebrate my son's 40th birthday. The process of searching for the right spot was overwhelming for her, so I gladly took the reins. I love finding the perfect spot and have done so many times with our extended family. In all, there were 13 of us, from ages 7 to 65. This amazing place exceeded our expectations, and everyone raved about it! Perfectly set up with enough space for everyone to be comfortable and nobody was on top of each other. The house is so large that we could easily have groups in various areas and never hear the others. My husband was in charge of setting up our 'Olympic Game' competition, which took place on Saturday afternoon. SO much fun, utilizing the game room and the kayaks and dock. I cannot say enough about the house and the host. April was amazing, and quickly responsive to any questions I had. She even had three little trophies waiting for us after I had mentioned we planned these games. What a sweet and thoughtful thing to do! We all agreed that a short distance like this is so much more manageable with everyone's busy schedules. We used to do beach trips often, but this was much easier. The house was stocked with everything we needed. We ordered pizzas from Piezan using Uber Eats on the first night, and that was scrumptious! A 'throwback' to 1985 meal the next night, and grilled burgers the final night. I'm sure we'll be back and can't wait!! "

Our Tims Ford Lakehouse is a beautiful property right on the best part of Tims Ford Lake. The lot is flat (NO STAIRS!), with a dock and 400 linear feet of shoreline! It is a great place for family or friends to relax and enjoy nature, while being very comfortable. The kitchen has been updated and has everything you need to cook and entertain. The bedrooms are small but super cozy, and every bed in the house is of good quality and comfortable. A full size washer and dryer are also included. There is lots of space outside to park vehicles boats, jet skis, ATVs, etc . The dock is small but will accommodate up to two boats, or boat and a couple jet skis. It is also a fantastic area for swimming. There is a Pergola with a great firepit near the water, and a flat screen TV. MORE PICS COMING SOON.
