TV's in all the rooms, fiber internet, stand alone ice maker & all the amenities you need to enjoy the great outdoors! Quiet neighborhood. Please keep outside noise to a minimum. No large parties or gatherings are allowed.

The space
This cute cottage may be small inside but there is a porch upstairs as well as a porch out back with a hot tub where you can relax and enjoy the great outdoors while sip your sweet tea or have morning coffee and enjoy the view. Inside, enjoy watch an old movie or favorite show on the smart TV. A full kitchen is equipped to make all meals or investigate the many little towns around Pisgah or (Scottsboro which is 30 mins away) to eat. Outside, there are hiking and biking trails all around Gorham’s Bluff.

A community pool is just next door and during the summer months it’s open until 10:00 pm. A children’s playground for the little ones to play on is located right outside the iron fence of the pool cabana. Enjoy some peace and quiet from your noisy, busy life, up here on the mountain.

NOTE: Please note that the gas fireplaces are non-operational at this time.

Guest access
You would have access to the entire cottage and outdoor space. There is a gas grill, washer and dryer for your convenience. There is a hiking trail along the bluff edge for taking a sunset walk.

There are several things to do around Gorham's Bluff, whether you're up for an adventure, or prefer to lazily take in the area: Henagar Drive-In Movie Theater, Walls of Jericho hiking trail, Scottsboro Unclaimed Baggage Center (similar to a fancy version of a thrift store comprised of unclaimed items from travelers) Buck’s Pocket State Park, Cathedral Caverns State Park, Little River Canyon National Preserve, Pisgah Gorge, Russell Cave National Monument, Sauta Cave National Wildlife Refuge, Stephen’s Gap Cave, etc. Day trips are a breeze when you're staying at Wayward Cottage as Mentone, Alabama and Chattanooga are less than an hour's drive away.

The rental is very secluded with a few quiet neighbors to the east. Walking through the front door I immediately noticed the cleanliness. Cleanest rental that I have stayed at. Slight odor of “old house smell” but not as noticeable once there was ac airflow. Property owners contacted about an issue (Where’s the remote?) and they responded quickly. Property met needs with wifi, firm bed, ac, kitchen extras (ice, coffee pot, paper towels, etc), TV (internet TV), bath towels, shampoo/body wash, etc. Stroll through the bamboo forest leads to a spring fed pond in which I caught x6 bass (catch & release). Kitchen table on east side of house, so we enjoyed sunrise breakfast. We saw chickens & ducks, goat, and quail(?). We rested well at night with little traffic on the nearby road and no noise from neighbors. Town of Rosalie nearby for some supplies and closest restaurant is Bernie’s Place (dine-in or carry-out), which specializes in DELICIOUS pizza & pasta. My favorite was Cajun pasta. There is DGS for more supplies in town of Pisgah. Pisgah also has hiking trails & waterfalls at Civitan Park. There is a large impressive cascading waterfall. Gorhams Bluff and Weathington Park have impressive overlooks. We will consider The Bamboo Farm for a future rental. The farm was very clean & accommodating, and the area presents a good place to retreat and get away."

Breathtaking views! Home is on a bluff that overlooks the Tennessee River, Jones Bay and the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. Northeast AL has an abundance of outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, ORV, boating, and fishing. For something more relaxing you can enjoy watching the eagles fly as you relax from the days activities. There are many public boat launches in the area and one is located just 4 minutes away. Home has plenty of room for parking your boat or your trailer of toys. You can also rent a boat from the local vendors. Lake Guntersville is just down the road and is known as the third best BASS fishing lake in the nation. For other entertainment, Huntsville, Chattanooga, Fort Payne, Mentone are all within an hour drive.

THE SPACE
The home is located directly ona two acre lot Mud Creek on . The home is equipted with: 4 Bedrooms ( 1 King, 4 Queen, 1 Full, 1 Twin) / 2 full Baths (5ft showers.) The kitchen comes fully furnished with island bar seating for 10 people. The kitchen opens up into living area with a large screen TV.
Enjoy dinner or lounging on the large screened in porch that spans across the back of the house while enjoying the lakeview. The washer and dryer located in the laundry room has french doors leading to a covered porch area that includes the gas grill and outside dining as well.
The three stall pull-thru garage allows vehicle and boat to be out of the weather. The stalls are equipted with a retractable power cord for charging boats ( no tripping over cords,) and full LED lighting for working on tackle. The garage is designed to pull straight thru for access to concrete boat ramp and gazebo by the lake. A MUST HAVE for fisherman (see video.)

1. Cancellation Policy for Direct Booking Long-Term Reservations (30 days or more):
● For reservations of 30 days or longer, a separate cancellation policy applies:
● Guests will receive a full refund if they cancel at least 30 days before the scheduled check-in date.
● A 50% refund will be issued for cancellations made between 14 and 29 days prior to the scheduled check-in date.
● No refund will be provided for cancellations made 13 days or fewer before the scheduled check-in date.
2. Upon booking, you will receive a rental agreement/check-in form that you are required to sign and return before your arrival
3. If you are local and / or under the age of 23 please notify us before making your reservation
4. We will charge a small, non-refundable damage waiver fee to cover any potential accidental property damage during your stay. This fee replaces the traditional security deposit.
5. We would like to inform you that for direct bookings, a 4% credit card fee will be applied to any cancellations and refunds and we will follow the platform`s cancellation policy
6. Guests acknowledge that they will keep their noise level to a minimum after 10:00 pm; sound will travel through the walls if too loud.
7. No parties or events allowed
8. Guest must provide us with a valid working phone number & guests listed on the reservation must report to us within 2 hours from the time of arrival if anything in regards to cleanliness does not meet their standards so we can help address the situation as soon as possible
9. NO SMOKING or use of fire permitted in the rental; guest acknowledges that no `smoking` includes the use of vape pens and marijuana and `use of fire` includes the lighting of candles, incense, or sage. There will be a $200 charge per day of reservation if this rule is not followed
10. There can not be any more than the allowed number of guests in or on the property at any one time, violation could lead to the immediate removal of all guests without a refund

- "We were in the area for our 18 year old son to participate in a kayak fishing tournament. We have a 4 year old and 11 year old daughters as well. The house worked very well for all ages. This was probably one of the cleanest houses I’ve rented and I’m very particular. It was very well stocked so cooking meals and grilling was very easy.The fenced it area was nice (to keep kids from just running straight to the lake without us) and it’s very private on the patio / fenced in area side with a thick row of trees seperating the house from the next property. Everyone swam in the lake and fished from the dock. There is a boat ramp literally right around the corner and my husband and son put their fishing kayaks (they are heavy) in at the ramp and peddled to the house dock with ease. You couldn’t back a trailer down to the ramp and their fishing kayaks are too heavy to carry that far. The zip line mentioned in the listing did not look secure as even our 4 year old would drag the ground so we didn’t try that a lot. It also rained a decent amount while we were there but the puzzles, etc inside kept everyone entertained. There was a Publix amd Walmart nearby for groceries. There are other houses right around this house and about 3 RV’s but it was super quiet (we were probably the loud house with 2 daughters)! We did see some dogs running around so be mindful if you have pets to have them leashed.Our family all agreed it was a good little getaway! "

Weekend at Tiffany’s is a great getaway with kids or just a romantic weekend. Beautiful panoramic views of the Tennessee river and majestic sunsets from the lodge and the back porch in the fall and winter months. Trails to hike, roads to bike, and lake to fish while staying with us. Amenities include a shared playground for kids and outdoor pool access.

Can’t say enough about the cottage - airy with lots of light, quiet, and choice of two balconies (one screened in) and two porches (one screened in) where I enjoyed my coffee and reading. Short walk on a trail to the bluff where I loved watching sunsets over the valley. The cottage is in a small and beautiful community. Restaurants were not far, about 25-30 minutes away, and I always love visiting Unclaimed Baggage when I’m around the area. Also 25-30 minute drive. The home features three uniquely connected bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: A full-size bed
Bedroom 2: A queen bed
Bedroom 3: A spacious area ideal for families or kids, with a king bed, a bunk bed with two full-size mattresses, a sitting area with two chairs, a hanging dresser, and access to the side porch.

The home includes two bathrooms: one with a toilet and sink, and another with a bathtub, sink, and toilet. Please note there is no shower in this home, but the vintage-style soaking tub offers a charming alternative.

The fully stocked kitchen provides everything you need to prepare meals, while the inviting living area is perfect for movie nights, game sessions, or simply enjoying each other’s company. Step outside and you’ll find a large fire pit—ideal for s’mores, storytelling, or stargazing under the open sky.

Looking for a smaller space? Consider booking Liberty Lodge, just a short walk away, perfect for 2–4 guests. If you're traveling with a larger group or planning a retreat, reserve both properties together under Americana Farm and enjoy exclusive access to the entire grounds.

With room for up to 14 guests across two charming countryside homes, you’ll have everything you need for a peaceful and memorable stay.

The Prairie House Retreat includes:
3 interconnected bedrooms with a variety of sleeping options: full, queen, king, and two full bunk beds
Two bathrooms (one with a tub, one half bath with a toilet and sink)
A fully stocked kitchen, spacious living area, and large outdoor fire pit

Liberty Lodge offers:
An indoor king bed in an open concept bedroom
A screened-in porch with a full bed for an airy sleeping experience
One full bathroom, kitchen, and peaceful porch views
Whether you want to cook for a crowd, split into smaller groups for quiet time, or gather around the fire pit for an evening together, Americana Farm gives you the flexibility and space to do it all.
