Rocky Knob Cabin is a log cabin overlooking beautiful Brasstown Valley in Young Harris, Georgia. Located on the mountain above Brasstown Valley Resort, Rocky Knob Cabin offers a lovely mountain-top view of the Blue Ridge Mountains in fall and winter with beautiful sunsets, and in the fall and winter, 180 degree panoramic views. It is cozy with all amenities for a relaxing stay. All roads leading to the cabin, including the driveway, are fully paved and in good condition. NOTE: the driveway is a little narrower than some and would not be able to accommodate a dually pickup truck or an extremely large vehicle. We have a Ford F250 that we take at times, and once you get used to navigating, it's not a problem. It is a little steep as many driveways are in the mountains. NOTE: We provide the lock box key code 3 days before your arrival as we change the code between guests. ALSO, we strongly advise that guests have a hard copy of our map or have it available on their phone during the first time up the mountain as the road signs and turns can be a little confusing.

The cabin easily accommodates four people in it's two bedrooms, two baths, living and dining area and it's fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, and the guest bedroom has two twin beds. Both bedrooms have on suite baths. There is a new flat screen TV in the living area and Netflix available to our guests.

There is a gas grill on the wrap around deck along with a bar height dining table/chairs with umbrella. Coffee is provided for our guests, and the kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with everything you need to make a wonderful meal at home. The cabin is equipped with Wi-Fi, and the Wi-FI password and other important phone numbers are in the blue binder by the microwave. Washer and dryer are available for guests' use during their stay and detergent/bleach is provided.

Beautiful Lake Chatuge and The Georgia Mountain Fairground are about 3 miles from the cabin. It is conveniently and centrally located for day trips to Blue Ridge, Franklin, Murphy, Bryson City, Blairsville, Hayesville, Helen, Brasstown Bald, Dahlonega and close to many hiking locations, wineries, boating and shopping.

Our cabin was built in May of 2008 and is located in a gated community on 1 1/4 acres of property that backs up against the National Forest.

The cabin has wooden floors with the exception of the bedrooms. High cathedral ceilings throughout the cabin and the chalet windows offer a breath taking view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Oversized kitchen has a double oven with all amenities. Sit on the wrap around porch with the vaulted ceilings and enjoy the mountains and wildlife. A floor-to-ceiling stacked rock fireplace in the living room welcomes weary travelers to relax and unwind while enjoying the mountain and meadow views from this quiet cabin in the Northeast Georgia Blue Ridge mountains. Walls of tongue-in-groove knotty pine give warmth to the main rooms, which are accented with maple floors.

Built in 2005, this cabin features two over-sized bedrooms and an extra loft which sleeps two. A full acre of natural woods habitat next to the cabin provides natural privacy to the outdoor hot tub and has been enhanced with native landscaping and feeders to attract lots of birds and butterflies. Deer and wild turkey are often spotted strolling through the property.

A delightful home with history and a noisy trout stream just outside your door! This two bedroom, three and a half bath home holds 2 bedrooms with king size beds plus a futon in the loft as well as a jetted tub in the master suite and a hot tub for four on the back deck. With three porches - two of them overlooking Brasstown Creek - there are plenty of places outside to enjoy the views and mountain air.

You will find rocking chairs and porch swings on two of the porches along with additional seating by a chimney and stone fire pit near the creek. While outside, be sure to notice the old stagecoach road that runs through the property near the creek. This road runs from Young Harris to Murphy, North Carolina and was packed so tightly, no trees grow on this old road.
The home is well equipped with all of the cooking appliances you should need to prepare your meals in the beautiful kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. You will find entertainment easy with a 42" flat screen television with DVD/VCR in the living room plus a television in each bedroom and one in the loft. The cabin is close to Lake Chatuge. The basement is great for entertaining. The large one room basement has the pool table, bar area, and a seating area around the electric fireplace and 70 inch TV. There are also several outdoor seating areas to relax and take in the views.

Other things to note
The drive to the house is along a mountainside and is fully paved. It can be a tight squeeze when passing cars in the opposite direction.

The main deck features a wraparound deck on main floor with covered screened porch for bug free family dining, and entertaining space. Relax in the evening overlooking the stars while soaking in the spa located on the main exterior deck. Exterior decking & property has solar lights to lighten the way throughout the property. The interior main floor has a large open Kitchen and dining to Living area with large natural stone wood burning fireplace with ceiling that reach new heights. The main floor also features King Bedroom and Bathroom. Open stairway going up to the second floor leads you to the loft that overlooks the great room and large windows to view the mountains in the distance with additional sleeping or business area if needed in this area. Also, on this floor is the large Master Suite with cozy exterior private balcony. Basement features a Queen Bed, plus single bed, and Bath with doorway to the balcony. Our game room has something for everyone; ping pong, foosball, games, and dry bar with outdoor deck looking into backyard ready for entertaining. Other amenities are full stocked kitchen, Wifi, Direct TV, DVD player, outdoor stereo system, and flat parking area. We are located just minutes away from Blairsville, Hiawassee, Crane Creek Vineyard, Brasstown Valley Golf Resort and Spa, Young Harris College, Vogel State Park, Lake Chatuge, Helen, Murphy NC Casino, and Lake Nottely.

Welcome to Little Bear Cove located in the Enchanted Valley in Young Harris Ga. As you turn off the main road and head toward the cabin, you will be in awe of the giant mountains that seem so close you can almost reach out and touch them. You will pass Cupid Falls Park with its beautiful falls and trails which you will definitely need to visit. You will pass an alpaca farm with a little red barn. Driving up the fully paved road to the cabin, you will be greeted by our little black bear standing in front of the cabin. Park in the spacious gravel driveway that can accommodate several vehicles easily. Walk around the cabin to the back where you will see that magnificent mountain right in your back yard. Walk down through the woods to the little running creek at the bottom of the property and allow the peaceful sound of the water stream wash over you.
Head up the front steps to the large deck which wraps completely around the cabin providing beautiful views. Inside you will find a small but charming and fully stocked kitchen, a large rustic dining table that will seat 6 comfortably, cathedral ceiling with a gorgeous floor to ceiling gas rock fireplace that warms up a cozy living area. There is plenty of super comfortable seating and lighting for family games and conversations.
There are bedrooms and bathrooms on all three levels of the cabin. You will find a queen bedroom on the main level with a full bathroom, a king bedroom and bathroom in the large loft area along with a futon and book nook on the opposite side of the loft, the third bedroom with a full sized bed and large bathroom is on the lower level. In all three beds you will enjoy soft linens, warm blankets and plenty of pillows. There is a large laundry room with a full sized washer and dryer for your use.
Downstairs you will also find a game room with arcade games, foosball and more. There are also many board games and books for your enjoyment. Plenty to keep the kids, young and old, entertained.
If relaxing is what you are after, grab a glass of wine and kick back in one of the rocking chairs or porch swing on either deck. There is also a table and chairs on the main deck for outdoor dining along with a gas grill for those family barbecues. Build a fire in the fire pit for roasting marshmallows or just hanging out with family and friends.
Young Harris is conveniently located near restaurants, antique stores, grocery stores and farmers markets. Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa is 5 minutes away as is Crane Creek Vineyards. Young Harris College is just minutes from the cabin as well. If you are looking for water activities, Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee and Lake Nottely in Blairsville are both about 10 minutes away. There are mountain hikes and falls minutes from the cabin as well. If you want to go into Blue Ride, drive about 25 minutes west, and if Helen is your destination, just go south the same distance. There is something for everyone here in the Georgia mountains and Little Bear Cove sits beautifully right in the middle of it all just waiting for you to come and enjoy it!

- "We thoroughly enjoyed our family getaway at Little Bear Cove. The cabin was perfect for our family of four, with plenty of room for everyone. Our kids loved the game room and we all loved the upstairs and downstairs decks. The cabin was very clean and the host had excellent communication before, during, and at the end of our stay. This may seem like a small detail, but one thing that is very nice about this cabin is the road is paved all the way up to the cabin. We have stayed at other cabins where this is not the case, and it can be dicey if you aren't in a four-wheel drive vehicle. The cabin is perfectly located - Cupid Falls is basically less than a mile, Crane Creek Vineyards is about 10 minutes, and both Blairsville and Hiawassee are about 15 minutes. Strongly recommend checking out all of those. Overall it was a great trip and we hope to return!"

Just drive slow if you have a low clearing vehicle so not to ground out on road."
