Rocky Knob Cabin is a log cabin overlooking beautiful Brasstown Valley in Young Harris, Georgia. Located on the mountain above Brasstown Valley Resort, Rocky Knob Cabin offers a lovely mountain-top view of the Blue Ridge Mountains in fall and winter with beautiful sunsets, and in the fall and winter, 180 degree panoramic views. It is cozy with all amenities for a relaxing stay. All roads leading to the cabin, including the driveway, are fully paved and in good condition. NOTE: the driveway is a little narrower than some and would not be able to accommodate a dually pickup truck or an extremely large vehicle. We have a Ford F250 that we take at times, and once you get used to navigating, it's not a problem. It is a little steep as many driveways are in the mountains. NOTE: We provide the lock box key code 3 days before your arrival as we change the code between guests. ALSO, we strongly advise that guests have a hard copy of our map or have it available on their phone during the first time up the mountain as the road signs and turns can be a little confusing.

The cabin easily accommodates four people in it's two bedrooms, two baths, living and dining area and it's fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, and the guest bedroom has two twin beds. Both bedrooms have on suite baths. There is a new flat screen TV in the living area and Netflix available to our guests.

There is a gas grill on the wrap around deck along with a bar height dining table/chairs with umbrella. Coffee is provided for our guests, and the kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with everything you need to make a wonderful meal at home. The cabin is equipped with Wi-Fi, and the Wi-FI password and other important phone numbers are in the blue binder by the microwave. Washer and dryer are available for guests' use during their stay and detergent/bleach is provided.

Beautiful Lake Chatuge and The Georgia Mountain Fairground are about 3 miles from the cabin. It is conveniently and centrally located for day trips to Blue Ridge, Franklin, Murphy, Bryson City, Blairsville, Hayesville, Helen, Brasstown Bald, Dahlonega and close to many hiking locations, wineries, boating and shopping.

Our cabin was built in May of 2008 and is located in a gated community on 1 1/4 acres of property that backs up against the National Forest.

The cabin has wooden floors with the exception of the bedrooms. High cathedral ceilings throughout the cabin and the chalet windows offer a breath taking view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Oversized kitchen has a double oven with all amenities. Sit on the wrap around porch with the vaulted ceilings and enjoy the mountains and wildlife. A floor-to-ceiling stacked rock fireplace in the living room welcomes weary travelers to relax and unwind while enjoying the mountain and meadow views from this quiet cabin in the Northeast Georgia Blue Ridge mountains. Walls of tongue-in-groove knotty pine give warmth to the main rooms, which are accented with maple floors.

Built in 2005, this cabin features two over-sized bedrooms and an extra loft which sleeps two. A full acre of natural woods habitat next to the cabin provides natural privacy to the outdoor hot tub and has been enhanced with native landscaping and feeders to attract lots of birds and butterflies. Deer and wild turkey are often spotted strolling through the property.

A delightful home with history and a noisy trout stream just outside your door! This two bedroom, three and a half bath home holds 2 bedrooms with king size beds plus a futon in the loft as well as a jetted tub in the master suite and a hot tub for four on the back deck. With three porches - two of them overlooking Brasstown Creek - there are plenty of places outside to enjoy the views and mountain air.

You will find rocking chairs and porch swings on two of the porches along with additional seating by a chimney and stone fire pit near the creek. While outside, be sure to notice the old stagecoach road that runs through the property near the creek. This road runs from Young Harris to Murphy, North Carolina and was packed so tightly, no trees grow on this old road.
The home is well equipped with all of the cooking appliances you should need to prepare your meals in the beautiful kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. You will find entertainment easy with a 42" flat screen television with DVD/VCR in the living room plus a television in each bedroom and one in the loft. The cabin is close to Lake Chatuge. The basement is great for entertaining. The large one room basement has the pool table, bar area, and a seating area around the electric fireplace and 70 inch TV. There are also several outdoor seating areas to relax and take in the views.

The drive to the house is along a mountainside and is fully paved. It can be a tight squeeze when passing cars in the opposite direction.

Welcome to Little Bear Cove located in the Enchanted Valley in Young Harris Ga. As you turn off the main road and head toward the cabin, you will be in awe of the giant mountains that seem so close you can almost reach out and touch them. You will pass Cupid Falls Park with its beautiful falls and trails which you will definitely need to visit. You will pass an alpaca farm with a little red barn. Driving up the fully paved road to the cabin, you will be greeted by our little black bear standing in front of the cabin. Park in the spacious gravel driveway that can accommodate several vehicles easily. Walk around the cabin to the back where you will see that magnificent mountain right in your back yard. Walk down through the woods to the little running creek at the bottom of the property and allow the peaceful sound of the water stream wash over you.
Head up the front steps to the large deck which wraps completely around the cabin providing beautiful views. Inside you will find a small but charming and fully stocked kitchen, a large rustic dining table that will seat 6 comfortably, cathedral ceiling with a gorgeous floor to ceiling gas rock fireplace that warms up a cozy living area. There is plenty of super comfortable seating and lighting for family games and conversations.
There are bedrooms and bathrooms on all three levels of the cabin. You will find a queen bedroom on the main level with a full bathroom, a king bedroom and bathroom in the large loft area along with a futon and book nook on the opposite side of the loft, the third bedroom with a full sized bed and large bathroom is on the lower level. In all three beds you will enjoy soft linens, warm blankets and plenty of pillows. There is a large laundry room with a full sized washer and dryer for your use.
Downstairs you will also find a game room with arcade games, foosball and more. There are also many board games and books for your enjoyment. Plenty to keep the kids, young and old, entertained.
If relaxing is what you are after, grab a glass of wine and kick back in one of the rocking chairs or porch swing on either deck. There is also a table and chairs on the main deck for outdoor dining along with a gas grill for those family barbecues. Build a fire in the fire pit for roasting marshmallows or just hanging out with family and friends.
Young Harris is conveniently located near restaurants, antique stores, grocery stores and farmers markets. Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa is 5 minutes away as is Crane Creek Vineyards. Young Harris College is just minutes from the cabin as well. If you are looking for water activities, Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee and Lake Nottely in Blairsville are both about 10 minutes away. There are mountain hikes and falls minutes from the cabin as well. If you want to go into Blue Ride, drive about 25 minutes west, and if Helen is your destination, just go south the same distance. There is something for everyone here in the Georgia mountains and Little Bear Cove sits beautifully right in the middle of it all just waiting for you to come and enjoy it!

Our kids loved the game room and we all loved the upstairs and downstairs decks. The cabin was very clean and the host had excellent communication before, during, and at the end of our stay. This may seem like a small detail, but one thing that is very nice about this cabin is the road is paved all the way up to the cabin. We have stayed at other cabins where this is not the case, and it can be dicey if you aren't in a four-wheel drive vehicle. The cabin is perfectly located - Cupid Falls is basically less than a mile, Crane Creek Vineyards is about 10 minutes, and both Blairsville and Hiawassee are about 15 minutes. Strongly recommend checking out all of those. Overall it was a great trip and we hope to return!"

The space

The cabin’s open floor plan includes a fully-equipped kitchen, 2-bedrooms, a living room with HD TV and an adjacent dining room. Enjoy the indoor hot tub attached to the living area with 180 degrees of windows with seasonal mountain and nature views. Just off the cabin’s living room, access the large firepit with Adirondack chairs and plenty of quiet.

In the summer months you will feel secluded by the surrounding trees. In the winter months you will wake up cozy in clean sheets and comfortable pillows.

This beautiful A-Frame cabin in the wood's primary bedroom features a walkout deck with views of the surrounding area. The A-Frame also has recently been renovated with a new paint job and appliance upgrades.

Blairsville, Young Harris, Blue Ridge and the surrounding area have some fantastic hikes as well such as climbing to the top of Brasstown Bald Mountain (the tallest point in Georgia) where you can see Atlanta, Georgia on a clear day.

Also only a few miles away you'll find Nottely lake where you can rent a boat for a day or hit some balls at the Old Union Golf Course. While you're at it check out the local farmers market or Odoms Springs Vineyards to pick up a bottle to enjoy back at the cabin.

I typically bring items that are normally not provided in rentals and found that the only item I utilized was my large stovetop pan. The bed was very comfortable and we were surprised that the space never felt crowded (my first experience with a tiny house). We had 2 adults and 2 small dogs. One perk was the star-gazing, it was stunning and the mountain views from the property has us taking photos non-stop. Highly recommend for couples or singles looking to totally disconnect, or work from the mountains. The high speed wifi worked great and the TV was linked to streaming services. The property manager was always quick to respond to any questions we had and gave suggestions on local spots to check out. We are already looking at the next dates we can get away and considering booking this location every few months for the rest of the year."

The cabin is small and cozy, with everything you need for a wonderful stay. The front and side porch will welcome you with a rocker for a rest or a picnic table for dinner that you cooked on the large gas grill. Inside, warm up to the fireplace and enjoy some old-fashioned board games. Wifi and smart tv, warm throws, coffee pots, Keurig, spices; everything is here for you.

Kitchen and Dining:
The chef in your group will appreciate the fully stocked kitchen, with stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, keurig, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils galore. We provide starter coffee, tea, sweetener, and spices. Unlike most vacation stays, you will not find a bare bones kitchen. Who wants to bring all the basics from home for a trip of a few days? Not us either! You may find unopened veggies in the freezer, butter in the frig, use what you wish and leave something for the next guest.

Living Room:
Kick back in the comfy leather sofa or recliner and enjoy the Roku TV, or crack open a book for a nice rest. This is our mountain cabin escape!

Bedrooms
The lower level bedroom features a comfy king size bed, with a small work desk. The upper bedroom features a queen bed and a nice chair for a private escape. Both bedrooms have attaching full bathrooms.

Bathrooms:
The attached bathrooms are fresh and modern. The upstairs bathroom features a shower/tub combo, while the main floor bathroom has a large shower stall. We provide fluffy towels, hair dryer, cotton swabs, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a few extra rolls of toilet paper.

Outdoors:
The large wrap around deck is the perfect spot to enjoy nature. Listen to the leave blow through the trees, watch the sun set, and if you are lucky you may see our resident deer crossing the driveway only feet away! With rocking chairs and a picnic table, this is the ideal spot to grab a glass of wine and relax. The newly built back deck, accessible from the basement, features a propane fire pit for your enjoyment.

Caught inside on a rainy day? Have a game of ping pong in the unfinished basement or see who the best block builder with a game of Jenga is!

Dogs:
One dog (meow - no cats please) per reservation is allowed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us with information on your pet prior to booking. We do supply a crate and bowls. Your dog must be crate trained and crated if left alone in the cabin, there are no exceptions. We love pets but not pet damage!

We are in the mountains, and roads can be slick during freezing weather. While a 4 wheel drive is not required for access to the cabin, it certainly can be handy in winter. The lower driveway is easy to go out ( turn left then turn around at the dead end), but is not recommended to come up without 4wd. When backing out of the top drive, be sure and stay on the pavement and do not back over into the gravel or you may lose traction.

The space

The cabin’s open floor plan includes a fully-equipped kitchen, 2-bedrooms, a living room with HD TV and an adjacent dining room. Enjoy the indoor hot tub attached to the living area with 180 degrees of windows with seasonal mountain and nature views. Just off the cabin’s living room, access the large firepit with Adirondack chairs and plenty of quiet.

In the summer months you will feel secluded by the surrounding trees. In the winter months you will wake up cozy in clean sheets and comfortable pillows.

This beautiful A-Frame cabin in the wood's primary bedroom features a walkout deck with views of the surrounding area. The A-Frame also has recently been renovated with a new paint job and appliance upgrades.

A short drive down the road will bring you to downtown blairsville, farms, vineyards and a variety of hikes.

Blairsville, Young Harris, Blue Ridge and the surrounding area have some fantastic hikes as well such as climbing to the top of Brasstown Bald Mountain (the tallest point in Georgia) where you can see Atlanta, Georgia on a clear day.

Also only a few miles away you'll find Nottely lake where you can rent a boat for a day or hit some balls at the Old Union Golf Course. While you're at it check out the local farmers market or Odoms Springs Vineyards to pick up a bottle to enjoy back at the cabin.

There's no better location to base all your Blairsville adventures.

NOTE: There are stairs to the second floor of the cabin where both of the bedrooms are. If mobility is an issue, this may not be the cabin for you as there are stairs. Anything that happens outside of the cabin is the responsibility of the guest and the host cannot be held responsible for things out of the perimeter of the cabin. Please note that this is a cabin in the woods and as such you may run into some bugs but that's all part of the experience!

Located within six and a half miles are the Georgia Mountain Fair & Fair Grounds, home to live entertainment, concerts, festivals, and Hamilton Gardens. Lake Chatuge is a man-made reservoir with 132 miles of shoreline set to the backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains, just six miles away. Residents and visitors flock to Towns County during peak season for the boating, swimming, skiing, fishing, and camping opportunities this beautiful lake hosts. Located off Highway 76, the Towns County Recreational Beach offers free parking and beach access with a large playground, a roped-off swimming area, a covered pavilion, picnic tables, and chair rentals. A delightful home with history and a noisy trout stream just outside your door! With in 5 minutes of Young Harris College, 15 minutes to John Campbell Folk School and Rock Crusher ATV area. You are also within 30 minutes to Helen. Are you a rock hound, the Lapidary School is just a short distance down the road. Love Crane Creek Vineyards? A hop jump and skip down the road and there you are. This cabin is private and secluded but only a short distance back to the main road.

The space
This two bedroom, three and a half bath home holds two bedrooms with king size beds plus a futon in the loft as well as a jetted tub in the master suite and a hot tub for four on the back deck. With three porches - two of them overlooking Brasstown Creek - there are plenty of places outside to enjoy the views and mountain air. Sit and swing away your cares and enjoy the cool mornings and evenings.
The lower, partially finished area has a small pool table and corn hole boards for the times you may want to be inside.

Our cabin is located in a quiet gated community with only one neighbor visible. The mountains are absolutely beautiful and this house is at the end of a quiet road. The main level includes a king bed, full bath, laundry, kitchen, living, dining, and full wrap around porch with grills and outdoor furniture. Top level includes a king bed, ensuite bath, and loft with a pull out full sized bed. Lower level includes a queen bed plus twin over full bunk bed, full bath, and a theater room with an additional dining room table. Walk out back porch with a new hot tub to soak away the stress while watching the clouds glide over the Gumlog Mountain chain. There is also a firepit for roasting marshmallows and talking about all the adventures of the day.

There is access to all the bedrooms, baths, laundry, porches, etc. There are three owner's closets, but there are double closets in EVERY bedroom. There is space for everyone and everything.

The kitchen table has seating for four with some extra chairs outside that you can bring in. We are firm on this rule and reserve the right to cancel. Please be honest. The cabin is 977 square feet. The space
This is a two story cabin with three beds and 2 1/2 baths. The first floor great room includes the kitchen, a workspace, powder room, dining area, and living area, with double story windows to enjoy the mountain view. The primary bedroom, with separate access to the wrap-around deck, also has a large closet and an ensuite bathroom. The second and third bedrooms, a second bathroom with tub and small sitting area are found on the second floor. There are chairs on the deck for enjoying the view, and in the backyard are two grills, a pizza oven, an outdoor table and chairs for dining, and a firepit.

Outdoor adventures for the day could be jam packed with just a short 5 minute drive to Lake Chatuge for all your water activities, rent a boat or if you are a member of Freedom Club enjoy their fleet of over 20 new boats to choose from or take the kids on down to Marina Station Water park, all just a mile from the cabin.

If you are looking for sightseeing activities for the day there is nothing better than hiking one of the many mountain trails that lead to some of the most beautiful waterfalls that North Georgia offers or hop in the car and take a quick 20 minute trip to Bell Mountain to partake in the incredible sunsets overlooking Lake Chatuge.

After a long day of adventures, spoil yourself with a glass of wine, light up the grill for a barbecue dinner and immersive yourself with the beauty that surrounds the cabin. Evening activities at the cabin could be challenging the kids to a game or two of ping pong or watching a sporting event on our 65inch HD tv. And when you are ready to retire for the evening, divulge yourself in one of our plush beds complete with silky smooth linens and pillows.
