Serenity Ridge is our family property that has been with us for over 50 years. You cannot escape the charm of this sweet cabin nestled in the woods. Once you step inside you are swept aways by natural cedar wood paneling throughout. Though like most of us after 50 years a serious makeover was in need. We took a year to renovate and revamp the home into what it is today. We purposely left some if the original charm to keep the home true to the cabin in the woods feel.

Serenity Ridge features three full bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Two rooms include a king size bed and one room includes a full over full bunk bed that sleeps 4 comfortably. We also offer a queen size air mattress. One bathroom includes a walk in shower while the Jack and Jill downstairs has a tub with rain shower. There is an upstairs wrap around balcony and a downstairs walk out balcony. Two spacious living rooms are perfect for adults upstairs and kids downstairs.

There are 4 total smartTVs and cable is included. We also have an air hockey table, ping pong table, corn hole, fishing poles, sled, board games, and puzzles. Though hiking is recommended we also have a stationary bike for exercise on those clod or rainy days. We provide beach towels and coolers for those quick lake or river escapes. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you may need and a propane grill is provided. The majority of the furniture is brand new and the house was renovated in 2023/2024.

** Pet Policy** ONLY DOGS ALLOWED! We do allow 1 dog per stay under 40 pounds. Dog can never be left alone in the home and if they are they must be crated at all times when alone. Please do not allow dogs to be on the furniture or beds. If your dog goes to the bathroom outside please pick it up and dispose of properly in the outside garbage can only. AS PER CITY REGULATIONS DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES!!!! If these rules are broken in any way additional fees will be charged.

- "This home is set up for big family gatherings. It was just the right amount of room for all of us to gather in one large space and small groups to gather inside and around the property. The two master bedrooms and en suite bathrooms on the top level are beautiful. There are two bedrooms on the main level off the kitchen living room. Both have en suite bathrooms. This main level is a beautiful large space with a great well stocked kitchen and comfortable living room area. The view from the main back deck is good and even better on the upper decks off the the two master bedrooms upstairs. There are two bedrooms on the next level down that share a bathroom. One bedroom has a window looking out at the back deck and the other is an interior room with no window. This level has a nice living room space with access to the back deck. The lowest level is a large space with games, tv and huge sectional sofa with access to the back deck. There is also a full bathroom down here. All the bathrooms in the home are full bathrooms. Surrounding neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. I had one small issue/question and it was quickly resolved with a phone call to the property manager contact person. We loved the home and the area and will be back."

- "We planned a trip to Sky Valley for MLK weekend- 4 adults and 6 kids total. The house has plenty of bedroom space. The house has two fully equipped kitchens. It is a great house and awesome location. I reached out to Luke right away to let him know about 2 super minor issues that we wanted him to be aware of. He was great and so helpful. We went to Scaly Mountain and The Dillard House on Saturday. We had a blast snow tubing and ice skating and it was lovely. Then we got snowed in! The driveway is lower than the road and we were trapped. Luke was so nice, I called him because my daughter had an allergic reaction and needed benadryl. He called around to the neighbors to help us. Later, he told us not to worry about extending our stay because we were stuck! The tow trucks couldn't get to us but a wonderful senior adult gentleman helped us dig our vehicles out of the ice and snow on Tuesday so we could finally go home. We almost ran out of food, but the power never went off! The trip was memorable for sure. Thanks Luke for answering my crazy calls and being so helpful. It was a great house for sure- lots of room!"

Mountain Laurel Hideaway is single-level home with a ramp that leads from the street to the front door. When you arrive, you will be able to park right at the front door and unload onto our spacious front porch. Then, you can park on the driveway that can accommodate about three vehicles. Take the garden pathway from the driveway up to the front porch. The front porch is appointed with a seating group, fire table, and oversized gas grill. In the evening, overhead string lights turn on to provide just enough light to enjoy late night conversation.

Our home is a great opportunity for families to come together and spend quality time. There are three bedrooms (king, king, queen) and two full bathrooms. Each bathroom has a separate tiled shower and is equipped with oversized comfortable towels. Both bathrooms have built in heaters to keep you extra toasty when you exit the shower or bath. One bathroom has a jetted tub with a beautiful view of Alex mountain. While the other bathroom includes accessibility features such as grab bars at the sink, toilet, and inside the shower as well as a shower seat.

The family room has plenty of seating and a smart television so that you can view your favorite streaming stations. We provide basic cable stations via SlingTV, and with super fast WiFi internet, you are welcome to stream any of your services. With lots of windows and sky lights, you can enjoy the mountain view from any room with plenty of natural light.

From the family room, enter the screened back porch where you can enjoy the mountain views and sounds of nature. We have comfortable seating and I love sitting out there with a book or magazine. Or take a nap in our new hammock.

Step outside the front door and take a short hike down to Mud Creek falls. If you want to spend some time indoors, there is a selection of board games, card games, and puzzles to provide the opportunity for family time. Or play a game of chess/checkers on our game table. Pickleball equipment is available for your use at the resort's pickleball courts. And soft, cozy blankets are there for you to curl up with a movie or book.

You are also free to enjoy many of the resort amenities in Sky Valley.

Highlands Aerial Park (ziplining) and Highlands Outpost (mountain coaster and seasonal snow tubing) are less than 10 mins up the road, if you’re looking for some adventure.

There are so many waterfalls and walking trails in the area, we cannot list them all here. But rest-assured, you will be able to find a hike at your level. From roadside views to the hike up Rabun Bald (5 min away), there is most definitely a way for you to enjoy the scenery of the north Georgia mountains.

Just south of Clayton is Lake Rabun, Lake Burton, and Tallulah gorge where you can enjoy many different water sports including kayaking, boating, skiing and fishing.

The well-appointed kitchen has a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator; along with a good variety of small appliances such as an electric kettle, waffle maker, panini maker, Keurig with frother, coffee and espresso maker, and griddle. We recently added a countertop ice cream maker so you can enjoy homemade ice cream in less than 25 min! The butcher block bar has 4 stools and there is a dining table with 6 chairs.

Do you love coffee? Enjoy a cup or latte or cappuccino made at our coffee bar. Or use one of the teapots to brew a delicious cuppa that you can enjoy on the back porch while you admire the view and listen to the sounds of Mud Creek falls.

There is a laundry room with both washer and dryer available for your use. There are stairs to the laundry room.

We are dog-friendly and are happy to accommodate up to two small dogs (less than 25 pounds each) for an additional fee. If you choose to bring your dog, they can also enjoy a little space to run around on the fenced front porch and side garden. Please bring a kennel to secure them when you leave the house. Even the most well-trained can feel insecure when left alone in an unfamiliar place.

While our home is not ADA compliant, there are some features that make the home more accessible to those who require a walker or similar equipment. There are no stairs from the street to enter the house. All bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas are on the main floor. Additionally, the second bathroom has grab bars near the toilet, sink, and in the shower. The shower also has a chair. The only stairs in the home lead down to the laundry room.

Coming in winter? Enjoy the warmth and atmosphere provided by the Franklin stove. And don’t worry about potential power outages. We have a whole house generator to make sure your vacation is not interrupted.

- "It was a last minute decision for us to get away for the week with our twin 1-yr. Olds. Sky Valley is beautiful, but hindsight we probably should have waited until our kids were older, simply for baby-proofing reasons. We ended up having to cut our vacation short and head home early. Honestly, the reason I am giving 5-stars is because of the property manager, Lise, she is AWESOME!!! In regards to the actual property, I would probably rent something more updated/newer in the future. (That’s just my personal preference) We love Sky Valley!"

The space
Laurel Lodge is one of the few true log cabins in Sky Valley, making the perfect backdrop for pictures! When you enter through the first floor, you'll find three bedrooms and one full bathroom. The bedrooms on this floor all have their own space-heating units and ceiling fans, as well as smart TVs. Because the evenings are always cool, there is no need for air conditioning.

Go up the stairs to the second level and you enter the beautiful country kitchen, well-stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils you'll need. Next to it is the dining room adorned with an antique dining table that is a piece for conversation! There is an AC unit and a main space heater in the dining room.

Also on the main level, you'll enjoy the living room with a large screen smart TV and a rustic fireplace - the perfect blend of modern & mountain living. A full bathroom, washer, and dryer are also on this level. There is AC unit in the living room.

On the third level is the master-suite private loft with its own full bathroom. The loft sleeps four with a full bed & 2 twin beds. It also has its own space heater and AC unit, as well as a smart TV.

There's plenty of space to sprawl out, too! The first and second floors each offer front patio/deck areas. A popular favorite hangout is the third deck out by the kitchen, where the grilling takes place! Enjoy a nice barbecue and watch the sunset through the woods on this deck with your group.

The private driveway offers ample space for several cars to park.

- "Our 3 generation family of 9 really enjoyed our long weekend together in the mountains. Great fireplace, lots of cooking equipment, air hockey and easy access to hiking kept us busy and happy. Strong internet, poor cell service but a landline phone made communication easy. The manager was rapidly responsive to a question. Since it was winter, we did not access pool or other amenities. Great hiking was very nearby - grandparents to 5 year old all felt accomplished."

We loved it! It better than the photos, more fun, and games than you can image! We loved the ring toss, fire pit, darts, not to mention the view. Located in beautiful Sky Valley Resort and Country Club our fully renovated cabin/cottage boasts of a farmhouse rustic feel. The home has 360 degree view with wrap around porch, all new furniture, great lighting, 3 smart TVs and many amenities. Attention to detail with love was put into our home. The cabin is easily accessible from the main road. We have an open concept living room, electric fireplace, two full bathrooms, 2 large bedrooms with spacious closets & a queen sized sofa bed.

The space
Located near many attractions and in close proximity to NC, SC and TN mountains. Many National Forests including Nantahala, Blue Ridge and Black Rock exist near us. Many seasonal activities can be found to include hiking, antiquing, zip lining, wine tours, gem mining and more. Highlands, Clayton, Dillard and Franklin are all within driving distance. Have your coffee or wine on our wrap around deck in morning or evening. You can enjoy the Sky Valley pool with sauna, hot tub, whirlpool, exercise room, tennis courts, clay courts, pickle ball, public golf course, and picnic gazebo. Our resort also includes a waterfall, fishing lake and hiking trails. Sapphire Ski resort is not far away!

We are easy to access from the road unlike other mountain cabins. Our paved driveway has ample parking for at least three cars.

Foxlair is a cozy cabin that has recently undergone a complete renovation… The master suite features, a separate living room area, walk-in closet and spacious bathroom. The king size bed is an adjustable bed with massage. Senior citizens, the main level is perfect to have access to the living room, dining room kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Any of your guests have trouble navigating stairs this space is perfect for them. The queen size bed on the main floor features an adjustable bed with massage. The second floor provides the final two bedrooms with a queen size bed in the balcony bedroom and two twin size beds for the kids bedroom.

We were not impacted by TS Helene. Come visit Skyfall Lodge in beautiful Sky Valley, Georgia! Enjoy the cool breeze from 3,200 ft above sea level! Our spacious home has two master suites including one on the main and few steps for those who need easy access.

Enjoy our screened porch, chill at our fire pit or soak in our hot tub (*cleaning fee includes hot tub maintenance). We also offer guest access to the pool, sauna, tennis & fitness center + public golf course (not included)pond and park.

The space
Hang out on our screened in porch and listen to the rain. Like your morning coffee or tea on the patio? Just steps from our updated kitchen, you can sit on our covered porch with two big rockers. Maybe you want to enjoy outdoor dining? Don't forget those steaks for our gas grill! When they are done, everyone can join you for alfresco dining, and you might find you want to keep visiting and enjoy the evening air as your day comes to an end.

Indoors there is plenty of seating for a large group with a formal dining room, breakfast bar and kitchen table. Our living room is comfortably decorated with a sleeper sofa and comfy couch for relaxing while watching TV or movies. Upstairs we have our book nook loft, with a comfy chair and good lighting to enjoy a book. Bring one of yours or borrow one of ours, it's a perfect activity on a rainy day.

We have one queen master suite on the main floor w/TV. The remaining three bedrooms are on the second floor. The 2nd master suite offers a queen bed, TV and a private bath and is off the loft area. The middle bedroom offers a queen bed and shares a jack and jill bath with the last bedroom which has two sets of twin bunk beds and a TV.

Of course we have cable and wifi for those that can't leave technology behind, and if you need to have some fun, check out our private hot tub!Plus we offer guest access to the Sky Valley swim/tennis/fitness facilities! The Sky Valley golf course is public, so everyone may play.

You will have access to the entire house with the exception of the locked supply closets and a locked supply shed on the back of the house.

No 4X4 is needed, all roads are paved. Our driveway is not flat, there is a climb in elevation.

Clean with confidence! We use commercial strength virucide on all touchable surfaces.

Our cleaning fee includes a fee for maintaining our private hot tub and is non-negotiable.

We have a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of utensils, plates, pots/pans and small appliances.

We provide a starter set of shampoo, conditioner, soap, garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels for your convenience that should last a couple days. We do not provide unlimited paper products or other supplies, guests are expected to provide their own.

1) No Saturday check outs unless you are staying longer than five nights. Changes may be made at the discretion of the homeowner, check with owner first before booking.

2) Four (4) night minimum for the major gathering holidays of Thanksgiving & Christmas. No check outs the day of the holiday. No check in or out on Saturday. Changes made at the discretion of the homeowner.

3) Four (4) night minimum for Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th, Easter and New Years Eve. No check outs the day of the holiday. No check in or out on Saturday. Changes at the discretion of the homeowner.

4) Two (2) day minimum for all other stays. No exceptions. If you are only staying two nights, starting a Friday night, you must include Saturday night.

5) Last minute weather cancellations due to snow/ice are non-refundable, but may be re-booked for a future date.

6) Any extra cleaning required if client doesn't follow checklist will result in a prorated damage deposit to pay for cleaning.

7) If changes need to be made in dates after a reservation is made, guest may do so at the discretion of the host. Please message the host for further information.

The space
The Sky Valley Getaway is a hand built A-frame cabin with loads of charm. On the main level, two sliding glass doors frame a wood burning fireplace and showcase scenic Smoky Mountain views. In the living space, you'll find books for both children and adults, cards, coloring supplies, and board games to really make the most of your vacation. A large, well-appointed kitchen contains everything you need to make a gourmet meal to serve at the six-person dining room table.

The master bedroom is also on the main level and features a king size bed, a large bathroom with tub, and its own seating area.

Upstairs you will find a guest room with a full size bed and a kids room with two twins. Joining the two upstairs bedrooms is a Jack-and-Jill style bathroom with a walk in shower.

Outside on the deck you'll find a gas grill, gas fire pit, rocking chairs, and peaceful ambiance. A great place to spend a relaxing morning, afternoon, or evening!

You will enter the house on the main level. On this floor you will find the bunk room, a half bath, living room, sitting room and fully stocked kitchen. This is also where you’ll find the primary bedroom with a king bed and en-suite. There is a deck off the sitting room with rockers, a table and gas grill for your enjoyment.

Downstairs there is another living room, a game area, and the 3 other bedrooms. Two queen bedrooms with a full bath right outside in the shared hallway, and a king bedroom with en-suite. There is also access to a deck with a fire pit, a picnic table and seating area. The second laundry room is also on this level.

Such a great central location for large groups. Zip lining, tubing, and mountain coaster within 10 minutes. Clayton is a a very cute town to visit within 20 minutes and Highlands is lovely and 29 minutes away in that other direction.
Sky Valley is at the highest elevation in GA making it a great getaway to enjoy that cool mountain air.

As you entered this cozy rustic cabin you will see the attention to detail. At Moonshine Ridge you will enjoy the mountain views from the living room and dining room area with floor to ceiling windows that allow natural lighting. Relax in this spacious 3 bd 3 full bath home with 2 levels, Sleeps 9 and offers double patio decks over looking the mountain views. The game room has pool table/ ping pong table. An 8 person hot tub has been added and fire pit for your enjoyment.

From the 8 person hot tub and the spacious fire pit along with swinging hammock chairs to an outdoor grill and pizza oven, this home goes above and beyond to create the perfect family memories. With a split floor plan, this home is perfect for offering larger families plenty of privacy. Comfortably sleeping 9 guests, this large cabin has a fully stocked kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a game room, and plenty of outdoor, mountain-facing deck space.

There is a charcoal grill located on the upper deck. Charcoal and light fluid not provided.

The pizza oven does also take wood as well. Wood can be found at your local grocery stores or at a small convenience store at the bottom of the mountain. You will find a welcome book with more details on how to use the pizza over.
