- "I am obsessed with the property and the bus! My husband and I stayed for a night with our three toddlers while taking a night off from section hiking the AT. We all slept in the king bed in the back which was INSANELY comfortable. The hosts are a super sweet little family. Our laundry was done for a small fee very quickly. Communication with the hosts was excellent. They provided so much helpful information on local places to visit for after our hike. The communal glamping bathroom was the nicest bathroom I’ve ever seen at a campsite. A toilet is inside the bus only to be used during bad weather or at night for guest convenience. The property is green and gorgeous, has a little creek on it. There is a grill under a gazebo and the hosts provide propane at no additional cost. We were able to grill hot dogs. The kids LOVED the bus. Also the main house where you check in is STOCKED with little snacks, ice cream, food you can heat up, and other little conveniences available for purchase. All the other structures on the property are adorable! For us the only potential issue was that the door locks on the inside, but unlocks easily with turning the knob. Totally fine if you have older kids or adults. If you have crazy toddlers there’s a potential escape hazard there. But we just barricaded the way out with our bags so it was fine. I would stay there every night if we could! I hope we get to stay again. "

Enjoy the beauty of the Smoky Mountains from this 2019 constructed one bedroom, 3-bathroom open concept log cabin. With 2 gas fireplaces, wrap around porch, and panoramic long range mountain views, you can revel in the great outdoors without stepping outside. There are no steps to climb for easy access and unloading! You’ll be just 25 minutes from Bryson City, so you can enjoy both peace and quiet and proximity to the attractions of town.

The log cabin is at 4,000 feet elevation in a private gated community. You will appreciate the casual charm of the cabin’s large interior with tongue-in-groove walls and ceiling with beams and engineered hardwood flooring throughout except the three bathrooms which are tiled.

Upstairs there are two flat screen HDTV's with YouTube TV. The living room is a 65" Smart TV with access to Netflix, Apple TV, Prime Video and YouTube. Limited cell coverage on the drive-up the mountain but we have WIFI and our Verizon cell phones normally work well at the cabin. There is a WIFI landline and phone in cabin for emergency service.

Downstairs there is another flat screen HDTV, 14-foot shuffleboard table, dart board, wall hanging connect four and many games and puzzles with a game table. Also, a coffee/wine bar and another full bathroom with custom walk-in tile shower and granite countertop. There are also 2 bedrooms that will be locked.

Custom kitchen with granite counter tops. Stainless steel appliances, gas stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen has everything you will need to cook (pots, pans, Crockpot, waffle maker, utensils, plates, bowls, silverware, etc.) meals during your stay.

The master bedroom features a king-sized log frame and new mattress, matching log chest, and two log end tables with lamps. Off of the master bedroom is a full bathroom with a large tiled shower that is open to the beamed ceiling. The master bathroom also has dual vanities.

The second bathroom upstairs has a tub and shower. Large single vanity and laundry room with new washer and dryer. Plenty of storage for the utmost convenience.

A new Hot Tub and Porch Swing for two below the deck for privacy where you can enjoy the long-range mountain views. The stars are unbelievably gorgeous on a clear night. Beside the hot tub is a picnic table for casual dining and relaxing.

There is a fire-pit to enjoy the cool mountain nights roasting marshmallows or hot dogs.

Elk Ridge Summit is located in the prestigious gated community - Alarka Highlands about 25 minutes from Bryson City. For entertaining there is a community Pavilion with a large stone fireplace. Several hiking trails to enjoy the beauty of the mountains. The drive is steep. A 4WD vehicle is recommended for winter or bad weather travel. No refunds for bad weather, however, we will credit you for a future stay if possible. The address cannot be found on GPS. The driving app WAZE, will direct you to our road within the community.

Bryson City, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Fontana Lake, Harrah's Casino, Cherokee, Nantahala River Gorge (white water rafting), Tsali Biking, Fontana Lake, and an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway/Smoky Mountains are all a quick scenic drive away. The Bryson City area is home to wonderful restaurants, breweries, the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, hiking, zip-lining, trout fishing, and canoeing. Maggie Valley is close for snow skiing. Many local small towns offer shopping and dining as well.

A short drive will take you to restaurants, shopping, museums, and historic attractions of Bryson City. Take the night off from cooking and check out the local fare in Bryson City. Enjoy a comforting meal at the historic Fryemont Inn (ask for Sarge at the bar) or Everett Street Diner, go for a margarita and Mexican favorites at Guayabitos Restaurant, or get a taste of the local craft beer at Mountain Layers Brewery, one of our favorite stops.

There’s no shortage of activities in the Great Smoky Mountains. Make the quick trip up to Deep Creek to hike up to a waterfall or set up shop by a fishing stream, while mountain bikers take advantage of the nearby trails. Also enjoy many hiking trails in the area, rafting, trout fishing, tubing, zip lines, Clingman’s Dome and other attractions. The Casino and Golf Course in Cherokee is only 50 minutes from the cabin. Only 1 hour to Asheville and nice drive to Gatlinburg.

It has always irritated me that hotels e.t.c. do that. So if I want to enjoy my family during the holidays, I have to pay a premium???

I'm sorry, I think that's just wrong, so why would I do that to my guest? Prices are the same EVERY DAY of the year. If you want a holiday, summer dates, e.t.c. just book early before someone else does, and enjoy your family at the regular prices.

Bear Cove Circle is probably steeper and curvier than what you’re used to. Our driveway is steep with a sharp turn but paved and you do not need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We ask our guests to exercise caution with snow and ice and make plans to wait for melting to occur. Consider this part of the charm of being in the mountains.

On our last day it was pretty rainy so we headed over to Cherokee Cinema. Nicest and cheapest Cinema I have ever been too! After tickets and snaks our family of four made it out of there for $50, WHAAA. I can't express enough how great our stay was. Our hosts communication with us was quick and kind. He gave us lots of helpful advise. I Highly recommend this place. It's right in town but you feel like your in the woods."

Please keep in mind that the period from mid-December to early March typically experiences the most snow and ice, and we may request that reschedule your stay to ensure your safety. AWD is necessary during these months.

There is a fire pit and chairs adjacent to the cabin, please do not burn outside the fire pit. We provide firewood and will start the fire for you if you so desire. Additional firewood is available complimentary and is self serve in the wood shed with the water wheel at the bottom of the hill at our home. Observe all fire safety precautions, there is a hose at the back of the cabin, please be ready to extinguish your fire. DO not burn during high wind situations. When in doubt, please ask.

Lake Fontana is primarily National Forest, Smoky Mountains, and Federally owned, so the Lake is never 'Busy', but the few available rental boats do get booked up.

The Tiny Tuck is a reference to the Tuckaseegee River. If you're familiar with our Eagle's Nest 775023 (2/2) and Eagle's Landing 749709 (2/2), then you are aware of the views on this mountain ridge. Well this little gem is a 400 sq ft tiny house. This is where Shannon and I lived while we built the other 2 cabins. Now that we've also built and moved into our dream home, we have the opportunity to share the Tiny Tuck with you! Although the views are very similar to the other 2 homes, on the right side of Fontana Lake, around the bend, it turns into the Tuckaseegee River that flows right through downtown Bryson City. Outside, you'll find a large spacious 470 sq ft deck with outdoor furniture and breathtaking views of the lake and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There's also a charcoal grill and fire pit with firewood that can be purchased on the property. The outdoor space is perfect for kicking back, star gazing, and roasting marshmallows. On a clear night, you can see the Milky Way! Inside, you'll walk into a small great room with cathedral ceilings, a full chef's kitchen, and all the comforts of home. There's a 12x18 sq ft loft, a full bathroom with tub, and a queen size bedroom. Best of all, there are breathtaking views from every window.
Be at peace knowing these homes are completely free of any toxic fragrances or chemical cleaners, and Medical Medium Friendly! There are no air fresheners, plug ins, scented candles, incense, commercial laundry soaps or fabric softeners. We wash all of the linens, shower curtains, bath mats etc. in house to insure they are cleaned without any toxic commercial soaps, stain removers, or bleach. We use non toxic cleaning supplies like Unscented Seventh Generation, BonAmi, BioKleen, peroxide, vinegar, and baking soda. This entire 12 acre property has NEVER been sprayed with pesticide. We are aware of how these toxic commercial fragrances have a burning effect on the nerves, can perpetuate a weakened immune system, deplete the nervous system, and cause several other chronic health symptoms. Rejoice in knowing that inside our homes and outside in the surrounding hundreds of acres of National Forest, clean air and oxygen are absorbed with every breath. The Tiny Tuck is located on 12 acres in Bryson City, NC. This land is bordered on 3 sides by 600 acres of the Nantahala National Forest, Fontana Lake, and the GSMNP. Lake access and pontoon rentals are available just a few short minutes from the cabin. Downtown Bryson City is just a short 12 minute drive.

This Non-Smoking cabin features wall to wall wood floors, fourteen foot cathedral ceilings,sixteen foot sliding glass doors in the family room that open onto a sixty foot deck overlooking a truly breathtaking spectacular westward view. Each bedroom is oversized and the master bedroom has a king size bed while the 2nd room has queen size bed. Both have a large private bathroom and sliding glass doors that also open up onto the massive deck. A double sided gas fireplace enhances the family room and master bedroom. All amenities are new. Enjoy incredible romantic sunsets every evening from the partially covered 60 x 12 deck that faces West, only to be followed by a display of shooting stars later that night while roasting marsh-mellows around the fire pit. You can faintly hear and see the Smokey Mountain Scenic Train from 4000 feet up as it transverses the mountain side twice daily. This cabin is centrally located to the area in order to provide visitors with the convenience of easy accessability to many of the local attractions. This area is known as the recreational center of the southeast. River's Edge is so close to town but feels remote! Experience the best of both worlds here. This "Mountain Modern" house is tucked away on the banks of the Tuckasegee River with a dirt road and the Smoky Mountain Railroad fronting the property. Guests enjoy watching the tourist train pass by, especially in November and December when it's decorated for the Polar Express! Old River road is also a great resource offering prime river access or take a leisure walk down the long dirt road. The house is also only about a mile away from Deep Creek, which is park of The Smoky Mountains National Park.

Getting Around: Driving is our recommendation. Biking and walking to town are options. Be aware that there are not sidewalks between the house and town. However, people do walk this section along the side of the road. Traffic can be heavy along this stretch of road and the side of the road isn't well maintained.

1. This property has gravel parking for one standard sized Vehicle. No Trailers allowed
2. We do allow dogs for a fee. 2 dogs up to 50lbs each maximum. Please read and adhere to our pet rules while staying in our house. Once you add your dog(s) to the guest count, the pet fee will be displayed in the summary of charges. We have strick pet rules: No dogs on the furniture/bed(s) for any reason. No dogs running loose on our property. Pickup dog waste. Hair found on furniture or in linens will incur an addition charge beyond the pet fee.
3. The house has a full kitchen and almost everything you would need to prepare any meal. However, the kitchen is not stocked with condiments or supplies with the exception of a few spices and salt and pepper.
4. The sleeper sofa lays down into a full sized bed. It's comfortable for 1 to 2 people and linens are provided.
5. There are two other vacation rental dwellings on this property. Each house has its own private outdoor space.
6. The Great Smoky Mountains railway runs in front of the property. This is a scenic tourist train that runs during the day/evening/early night and is a big reason why people visit Bryson City. It does not run during the night when people generally are sleeping.

Adorable little cabin within a 2 minute walk to Deep Creek. Our cabin is small (400 sqft), but loaded with everything you need for a perfect couple's getaway in the North Carolina mountain town of Bryson City. Ideal for a romantic stay, our cabin has a queen sized, hand carved log bed in the master bedroom. If you want to bring the kids or extra guests, there's a sleeper sofa in the living room. We've got full sized kitchen appliances- refrigerator, stove top oven, microwave and dishwasher.

This place is a new built Kabin with lots of repurposed materials thru out as we work one giving it the "its always been here " feel. you will have a microwave and coffee maker in the Kabin a well as fan to cool off those hot days by the creek they are few.Aa bath house with Outdoor hot water shower and a 2 stall a indoor restroom with Nature' Head Compostable Toilets. Your stay here will have a Very low impact on the environment we all call home with out effecting the comfort of your stay. The views from the Kabin are so relaxing with the Creek 10 feet from you porch . The sounds of the crickets and creek will make sure a sound sleep is yours .

Relax at this peaceful spot. Everything is neat, clean, and ready to enjoy. You will feel like you have a little slice of the forest for your self although there are a few neighbors nearby. The studio has front porch for enjoying the the surroundings. The studio is about 50 yards from the parking area and requires you to walk down a dirt path with steps and turns. The path is rustic and does not work with roller bags. There is small creek across the that provides some lovely sounds

The space
This is a simple studio in a quiet wooded area. The studio is self contained over a storage room. There is a kitchenette with a microwave, toaster over, coffee maker, wine glasses and dishes with cutlery. There is no stove! we are about 10 minutes to downtown Bryson City, about 15 minutes to the Tsali trail, 15 min to Deep Creek, 15 min to Nantahala Outdoor Center and close to several lake Fontana access points.
There is a cabin that sits on the front of the property and is separate from the studio building. The studio has a queen bed, a kitchenette, a full bath with a shower, and a futon sofa. This is ideal for couple. The bath is private and has a shower stall.
There is WIFI and decent internet service at the property.

Guest access
Guests have access to the studio and the surrounding wooded area. There are steps that lead down to a separate cabin that is private so guests should not venture down the steps.

Other things to note
We have WIFI available that is usually reliable but there is also a hotspot for backup.
The studio requires you to walk down a path with steps and turn to access the studio. Roller bags will not work well on the path. If you don't feel you can easily carry your belongings down the path, this is not the place for you.
There is not a full kitchen, a microwave and toaster oven are provided. There is no stove.
Please be sure to add pets to the reservation if you are planning to bring them along. We are glad to offer pet friendly accommodations however pets certainly require more work when cleaning and we feel the cleaner should be compensated for the extra time. You will be charged a double pet fee for pets not listed on the reservation. please no more than 2 pets it is a small space.

Pet Policy
This cabin is NOT pet friendly. If we find evidence of pets on furniture, you will be charged $100. If we find evidence of pets damaging the property, including using the bathroom in unit, you will be charged $200. The Pet Agreement also provides that pets brought without advance notice will be charged $250 plus the normal pet fee. Pets brought to cabins that do NOT allow pets can result in immediate eviction with forfeiture of remaining paid stay.

Please be aware that road conditions in the Smoky Mountains can be unpredictable and may change rapidly due to weather. Our cabin’s roads & driveways are either pavement or gravel or both. We also strongly recommend traveling in a vehicle with higher ground clearance to navigate the terrain more easily. Low clearance vehicles will not be able to access certain cabin roads including The Watershed Resort.

Water Conservation Policy
To ensure the sustainability of our beautiful mountain environment, we kindly ask all guests to use water mindfully during their stay. Please limit shower times, turn off the tap while brushing your teeth, and report any leaks immediately. We also encourage the reuse of towels and linens to reduce water consumption. These small actions help preserve our natural resources and keep the mountains pristine for future visitors.

Only run the dishwasher when it's full.

Our area of WNC is currently experiencing increased wildlife activity, particularly from bears. While it’s a privilege to share our environment with these magnificent creatures, it’s essential that we all take precautions to ensure our safety and theirs.

Secure all food and garbage: Bears are attracted to strong smells. Do not leave food in your car and reattach bungee cords to trash can lids every time.
Be aware of your surroundings: Stay alert, especially during dawn and dusk when wildlife is most active.
Avoid close encounters: If you see a bear or other wildlife, maintain a safe distance and do not approach.
Travel in groups: When possible, hike or explore with others, and make noise to alert animals of your presence. Keep dogs leashed at all times.

The space
Two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are on either side of the cabin. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed with two large bamboo memory foam pillows . Bedroom 2 has a queen size memory foam bed with two super soft pillows. There are throw blankets for your comfort as well as 3 space heaters in case you visit during cold season.
Both bedrooms share a full sized bathroom with lockable doors. Living room has two separate couches that sit in front of a 50" Roku smart TV. Stream all your favorite shows as we also have high speed Wifi available. There are plenty of board games under the TV available for your entertainment. There is a desk in case you have to work while visiting and reading corner with plenty of reading material on our bookshelf.
