So old that the elevator inside is the type that you have to manually pull the door to open/close it. The floors are old and wooden and very creaky. Once we made it into the apartment though, it was clean and comfortable feeling, so we easily relaxed and settled into it. We could hear music from other units, but it was New Year's Eve, so we just paid it no mind and turned on music of our own. After a couple of hours I received a text message from the property management telling me that they've received several complaints about the volume of the music from our unit and that they would be contacting the authorities to have me removed from the property if I didn't turn it down. Wait...what!?!? This was the first I had even been made aware that the music was a problem, and you're already threatening to have me removed??? I turned the music down immediately after seeing the text, same as I would have done had they just requested that I turn it down (without the threat), but I was so turned off by this lack of tact and immediate escalation of an easily resolvable issue that I would never want to deal with them again. - "This place was beautiful and clean. Easy check in and out process. We were unable to cancel our booking and the host denied our dates to reschedule although our friend had a death in the family and had to plan the funeral. The cancellation would’ve given us only half of our monies back. That was quite stressful but the host was very kind over the phone but very unaccommodating. Almost seemed like he was nervous to allow us to stay there. We even asked if it was okay to allow her family to have the location for the repast and was told 6 people were the maximum allowed to visit although the site showed a 15 maximum was allowed. The site had various options available like three bedrooms for this location and events and parties allowed. It was unfortunate to find out that AFTER you book, things were different. There are only two bedrooms and they look nice but the location sleeps 6. I guess the sofa was third bed. In addition, we were charged $25 for each guest above 2 who stayed the night. There was going to be six of us initially and only 5 stayed the night, therefore when booking we were charged an extra $100 for 4 additional guests beyond the two. Unfortunately, we were not refunded the extra $25 for a guest who didn’t stay. Be aware of this. Also, VRBO homes usually allow you to have access to an entire home but this is a condo with 6 total condos in one building. There is only one parking space in the rear. The rest of us parked on the street."

The street has metered parking until 4pm then after 4pm it is parking by resident permit only and it is a ticket and tow zone.

Our goal is to make you private apartment a home away from home. During your stay if you need anything please reach out. We are usually located in the separate residential area of the mansion.

SAFETY & SECURITY
Detroit's reputation aside, Downtown, and in particular this neighborhood is very safe and walkable. As a Retired Federal Agent in this City, your safety is paramount. In addition to the strong and friendly presence in the neighborhood of the Detroit Police Department, we also have 24 hour security that patrols the streets making your walks to and from the stadiums and throughout Downtown and Midtown one of the safest in the country.

CHECK-IN/UNLOADING
In respect for our neighbors, please do not Load/unload your car from the condo parking pad directly outside of the side entrance. This is private property of the condos and can block neighbors access to their garages. Kindly unload from the provided private parking space on the other side of the house. If you need help with luggage the host can assist with porter service from your car to the apartment. Do not hesitate to ask.

PROFESSIONAL CLEANING
Our clean service provides an Above-Standard through cleaning process after each check out, to ensure you have the healthiest, safest space during your stay.

PETS WELCOME
Unlike many nearby listings, we are very pet friendly. Bring your furry friend and don't even think twice about apologizing for barking. It's what they do when they miss you. We do ask that you clean up after them as best as possible. After walks, you are welcome to dispose of waste bags through the front gate and in the dumpster cans at the side of the front porch.

While there is a private walk-up door to the backyard, please do not, step out, or let your pets out as we have dogs that are convinced they own that space. Feel free to wave to them through the door, but for your safety as well as safety of our pets, please do not have contact with them.

NO SMOKING INSIDE
Please refrain from smoking inside the home. You are welcome to smoke on the concrete pad directly outside the side entrance. Any evidence of smoking will result in a fee for odor removal and furniture cleaning.

Quiet Hours:
To ensure everyone's stay is enjoyable, we observe quiet hours from 11pm to 8am. We trust our guests to be considerate of others in the building during their stay.

Smoking:
We are committed to providing a smoke-free environment. A minimum fee of $250 will be charged for any smoking detected in the apartment.

MINIMUM AGE:
Guests named on the reservation must be 21 years or older. By booking a reservation, you represent and warrant that you are 21 or older and have the legal capacity and authority to enter into a contract. The name on the reservation must be present at check-in and throughout the duration of the stay.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:
Early check-ins and late checkouts are based on availability and can be requested one day before. Additional fees may apply.
