This 20 acre property is ideal for travelers during all seasons! The house has 3 bedrooms:

We are equipped with 1 bathroom with dual vanity & a ridiculously oversized shower with two shower heads. There is a large basement with comfy couches, TV with DVD player, air hockey and lots of games.

We have a large sun-deck with patio furniture and a propane BBQ available for your use.

There is a large parking area that will fit boat trailers, snowmobile trailers etc (NO RV’s without permission!). We are not far from beaches, Winston Race Track, Silver Lake Dunes and the Hart-Montague bike (snowmobile) Trail.

There is a large outdoor fire pit to look out over the stars while you toast s’mores. Circling the property is a 3/4 mile long scenic trail great for morning runs & evening strolls. You’ll see plenty of deer, turkeys and other wildlife and enjoy seclusion from the outside world.

This is the place to be in the off-season if you’re looking for a break from the daily grind. The area is well known for its Fall beauty and autumn vibe, including many festivals, events and haunted attractions. Thinking Winter??? We’re located close to the Hart-Montague Rail trail and hundreds of miles of interconnecting snowmobile trails. Not to mention the surrounding area is farm land, great for carving through fresh powder! Only a few miles from the Double JJ snow tubing hill and indoor water park!! Makes for a great spring get-away!!

Please note that you will hear Winston Racetrack on Friday nights if you’re outside during their racing season. The house is really well insulated thought, and nice and quiet. The racetrack is a great time if your looking for something to do.

No live tv but we now have WIFI (don’t forget to log out!) and there are plenty of dvds, books, and games available to entertain during inclimate weather, or just cozy up to the fireplace and do nothing... permission granted....

Otherwise, you’re going to want to be spending your time outside exploring the community, roaming the property, or stargazing on the sun deck and bonfire pit. Cell service is surprisingly decent considering the remoteness of the location. So surfing on your cell phones or using a hot spot shouldn’t be a problem....if you’re desperate to stay connected to the outside world that is.....

Note: If you’ve rented homes in the past, you’re probably use to finding a fridge full of ketchup, mustard and other condiments left behind. Due to the current pandemic, we feel this is a bad idea and hence make sure the fridge is clear before you visit. So please make sure you bring your own and plan to take it with you.

Our 5,000 sq.ft. beach house is nestled on a wooded dune with 100' of secluded sandy Lake Michigan beach (private). Enjoy relaxing, socializing or private time on the oversized, wrap around front porch and watch the sunset. This will probably be the place that you spend the most time. There are 3 Master Suites, 1 on each floor for maximum privacy. Each has its own full bathroom. There are also three additional bedrooms with a shared bath for more guests. Dowling Street hosts the world's largest weathervane, which stands 48 feet high, spans 14 feet and weighs 4,300 lbs. On-Ramp Road, the Montague Band Shell is home to free live concerts every Tuesday evening from June through August.

Montague's dining scene skews toward locally owned establishments, such as the casual Dog 'n Suds Drive-In, Book and Nook Java Shop serves a quick cup of coffee or lunch. For more extensive dining options, travelers must turn to Whitehall. The town hosts about a dozen restaurants that feature entrees ranging from barbeque to seafood.

- "This home was perfect for our group of 5 adults. We used the 3 main suites and each had a private bathroom. It was a very charming stay. The house is in a perfect location for what we needed to access - visiting family in the Shelby/Whitehall area. It is only a 20-30 minute drive from bigger towns like Spring Lake/Grand Haven. The house is incredibly clean and well laid out, with many amenities. We did not use the game room or 3 of the rooms, but imagine that would be very appealing for families with children. Although the neighbors are close, as the houses seem to share a common access easement for the beach, the neighbors are not loud, nor nosy, and is a very tranquil space. Things to note: The house has a Keurig and guests will need to buy pods for the stay, although the kitchen is otherwise well appointed with dish soap and paper towels and some basic cooking supplies. The internet is sufficient for checking e-mail and staying connected, but not ideal for holding zoom meetings etc. The second floor bedrooms do not have blinds, so a sleep mask may be necessary. There are no full length mirrors for getting dressed so you might need to bring one or purchase one. The arrival and departure times are strictly enforced. There are many steps to the beach and would not be suited for those with physical limitations. The beach chairs and kayaks do not belong to Big Blu, so I am not sure what guests are supposed to use, but we did not inquire."

This beach house is located directly ON Lake Michigan with its own 125' of private beach front. This lovely beach house house rests atop a small bluff overlooking majestic Lake Michigan on a quiet, residential road. There is even a working organic farm across the street. If you are fortunate enough you might be able to walk to the farm stand and grab fresh farm eggs or organic vegetables.

There is 700 sq. ft. of TREX decking overlooking Lake Michigan with lounge chairs to lay out, an under deck with new sitting areas to enjoy the views in the shade watch the gorgeous sunsets. Lake Michigan sunsets are a work of art that you don't want to miss. There are stairs to the beach and a large beach to thoroughly enjoy the lake!! There are 2 kayaks to use along with two paddle boards. Just bring your own life jackets and you are ready to coast the shoreline. The private beach is around 125 feet with Adirondack chairs and beach towels to enjoy the sunshine. We also have an outdoor shower with hot and cold water to rinse off after the beach.

Roosevelt Cottage has 5 large bedrooms (Sleeps 12), with direct views of the lake. The Main floor King bedroom with windows looking out to Lake Michigan and a patio door. Its a great spot to venture onto the deck and enjoy your beverage of choice. You might even spot a bald eagle flying by.

The cottage has 4 full bathrooms 2 on the main floor, 1 upstairs, and 1 downstairs. Other features include a spacious kitchen (all new including appliances) and dining area, living area with large picture windows with a lake view. Bring groceries to prepare in our fully stocked kitchen or venture out to eat at one of the many restaurants and open-air bars in Montague, Whitehall, Mears, Silver Lake, Hart, Pentwater, or Ludington. The Dining area accommodates 8 people at the table and 2-4 at the kitchen counter. A perfect spot to spend time with loved ones, spend a honeymoon, or just rest and recharge.

Each bedroom has their own Smart TV. We have large Smart TV's in the living areas for the rainy day movies. There are lots of games and books to keep you busy on the cloudy days.

We have a fire pit just off the deck and a Sonos speaker system to play your own music! Local wood stands around the area with a short distance from the cottage. New for 2025 is a hot tub available for additional fee. Hot tub seats 6-8 people with jets through out the unit. The 8 foot size should accommodate a family or a few couples at once to enjoy the sunset views. *Additional contract required for usage.

Beautiful log cabin on three acres built in 2006 on Lake Michigan, just south of Stony Lake. Large rooms, beautifully decorated, very comfortable.

The home has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, plus a powder room on the main floor. Open floor plan allows for lovely woods/lake views with plenty of space for relaxing. Fire pit on lakeside stone patio, Weber charcoal grill, and outdoor hot/cold shower. Cozy screened porch with functional stone fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room with stone fireplace (not for use). Upstairs den has a smart TV (no TV service). Full unfinished basement with laundry and beach equipment including 1-person kayak.

Fifty steps down through woods to the beach and lake. Grab beach chairs and toys on your way down. You have a huge, beautiful, white sand beach all to yourselves.

This area of Michigan is a wonderful summer playground with several golf courses nearby and the famous Silver Lake Dunes just 10-15 minutes away. It is quiet and rural for a lovely secluded getaway ... this is not an area for fine dining and high-end shopping, but a place to spend quality time with family and friends ... days on the beach, nights playing games or watching movies.

The owner may be residing in a studio on a back lot, about a block or two away from the property (although this is the woods and there are no blocks!). They may be using the beach steps but in no way will infringe upon your privacy.

Laura responded to emails, texts, a mistaken phone call. She is full of knowledge about the cabin, area, and always willing to help however she can. The cabin is situated on an amazing piece of land and we always felt we had all the privacy in the world (neighbors were never home - least from what we could tell). The beach is amazing (sad to see the trash that has washed up but overall wonderful with a very sandy lake bottom). The cabin was expertly cleaned and everything was as described in the profile. Aside from the 2 queen/full beds and the twin beds, I'm not sure you could sleep much more than 6 without bringing your own blow-up mattress but the space allows for it (we only had 4 adults and 1 infant so the space was great but was thinking about larger families/groups). We cannot wait to come back and take full advantage of the surrounding areas when COVID is finally behind us. Thank you again to Laura as we had an amazing week relaxing and unwinding!"

This is a beautifully landscaped 2-story home on the northeast corner of Stony Lake in Oceana County with lots of acreage. On the main floor there is a large kitchen and dining area with large table. The living room is large with fantastic views. There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Off the back is a huge deck, partially covered. There is a grill and a Blackstone griddle for cooking outside. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms with king beds, a bathroom, and a large gathering area for games or just looking at the view.

After a long day hiking and beaching, come back to the house where your favorite music greets you on the whole house built in speaker system (indoor and out). The entire family can hang out at the oversized kitchen island with seating for 9 while you prepare a home cooked meal in the spacious, well equipped kitchen with double oven, and large gas range. For those with a caffeine fix, stop by the dedicated coffee bar, kitchen adjacent, or make a fresh latte on the Brevelle Barista express. Open up the oversized west facing windows and french doors to let in a calming breeze as you unplug and have dinner at the stone dining table with comfortable seating for at least 10 and stunning views of the lake and property.

After dinner, head out to the screened in porch and enjoy a lake Michigan sunset, or, if you can find the secret entrance, test your mixology skills and relax in a chesterfield in this modern take on a 1920's speakeasy complete with wet bar, ice maker, drink and wine fridge.

Later in the evening, head up to the top level for a rousing boardgame or round of poker. This level also boasts an enormous sectional, with seating for at least 10, for a show. This is no ordinary movie night, however, as your family immerses themselves in front of a 120" projection screen and state of the art surround system.

Take in the evening air in your private 6 person hot tub or head down to the beach for a fire and s'mores under endless views of the milky way.

An extra 5 minutes will get you to west Michigan's only amusement park and wildwater adventure park where you can get your thrills on a rollercoaster or towering waterslide, or cool off in the wavepool.

- "Our family (6 adults and 2 young children) had a wonderful one-week vacation at the house! It is large, beautifully designed, extremely well-appointed, and very comfortable. There are lots of common spaces to gather together, but the bedrooms are well separated for privacy. The house also has a great setting, perched on a small forested hill overlooking the lake. The beach is lovely, very quiet and peaceful, with soft sand. Two amenities we especially enjoyed were the hot tub on the deck, and the giant wall TV and giant couch on the top floor of the house. Nate was very helpful and prompt when answering all of our questions, making the whole rental process easy and trouble-free. We all really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again in the near future!"

We had our own privat beach, a large well appointed kitchen to prepare meals, and seating for everyone with a great view of the lake. The house is isolated and not what we considered biking distance to town, also the steps to the beach can be daunting.
