- "Really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is very nicely appointed. Lots of handy kitchen supplies and plenty of towels! We made great use of the BBQ and enjoyed walking on the beach with our dog." - "My family spent a long weekend at this cottage for my wife's birthday and we loved it. Family of four, one teen and one pre-teen, each had their own room (it's a three bedroom). The place was clean and well decorated. It's between East Tawas and Oscoda/Au Sable, a little closer to East Tawas but a fairly quick drive either way. The neighborhood has beach access about two blocks away from the cottage - an easy walk for a nice stretch of sandy beach, which was largely unoccupied when we were there. East Tawas is on a lengthy bike/pedestrian trail, which made for a great ride - we biked out to Tawas Point to see the lighthouse. There are a decent amount of restaurants between the cities, a grocery store, and public parks with beach access in East Tawas as well. The hosts have stocked the place with some games and there is a fire pit. They know what short-term guests might want or need - soap and shampoo, plenty of towels, etc. We wholeheartedly recommend this cottage, and my kids already want to come back again next summer."

- "We had a great time and great location." - "Loved the place, and that it had a refrigerator and microwave. The smart tv was great for late night movies, and you could see the lake from our room! My GPS took me someplace odd in downtown but the place is 5 miles NORTH of downtown tawas on us23 and it was very easy to find and the host was very easy to get in contact with! If i had any notes, i would suggest putting up a full length mirror on the empty wall in the bedroom for getting ready 🙂"

Close to where we wanted to be!" - "Our children were attending daycamp in Oscoda and we needed a place to stay since home is 6 hours away. The unit was small, but all 5 of us didn't spend a ton of time there. It met our needs and was clean. The owners communicated well and responded- often within minutes. Check in was a breeze and we would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a cute place to rest their heads. Bonus for me..... there was a loaded Keurig to keep me awake after the long drive up! Thanks for the caffeine."

There was a little noise from the road but the cabin is very close to US23 so that is to be expected. Cabin was laid out well, and the beds were comfy and clean. It is a rustic cabin with modern amenities and it fit the bill for our stay.Would definitely consider this location again for future trips up to the East Tawas/Oscoda area. " - "The price was attractive. The old place has character and some nice new upgrades. The place still needs other upgrades to get a better rating. The king bed was very comfortable, the full bed has an old thick plastic cover, put on obviously for young children. We stayed for sleeping purposes only. Little time spent at the cabin. The cabin is close to the highway, but no through traffic. Some perfume laced pillows needed to be removed with the sad couch. The picnic table has moss all over it and is rotted on the ends.
