Thoughtfully refreshed in 2025, it now features new light fixtures that brighten the space while preserving the cabin’s original rustic charm, a beautifully remodeled bathroom with a spacious shower, baseboard heat, and a king bed and a private outdoor deck — perfect for slow mornings or evening stargazing. The skylights and screened windows bring in soft natural light and breezes, while the outdoor deck offers a peaceful place to relax.

While the cabin does not include air conditioning, we provide a box fan, and the screened windows welcome in lake breezes to keep things cool during the warmer months.

The living area includes a smart TV for quiet movie nights or catching up on your favorite shows, though we encourage guests to enjoy the slower pace of lake life. This is a place to unplug — with minimal modern distractions — just the sounds of the water, the warmth of the fireplace, and the simple beauty of cabin life.

Chipmunk Lodge is one of 9 suites at The Totem Lodges in Indian River, MI. The Lodge is a studio cabin that includes a kitchenette for basic cooking. A refrigerator, microwave, stove and coffee pot with complementary coffee, creamer and sugar are available. Coffee cups, plates, bowls, glasses, pots & pans and silverware are provided for use. A futon couch and kitchen table and chairs complete this cozy studio lodge. A TV and Queen Size Bed provide a cozy conversation and sleeping area. The bathroom has a large shower. The Neighborhood:
Indian River is a scenic resort town at the bottom of Burt and Mullet Lakes. They are both all sports lakes that include public boat launches and beaches. Both the Indian and Sturgeon River run through town and make for great boating and fishing. Indian River also boasts extensive access to Bike and Snowmobile/Four Wheel Trails. Indian River has a vibrant downtown with many excellent restaurants and shops. Our area is known for Multi-Seasonal Hunting and Fishing,. Mushroom Hunting, and our Fall Color Scenery We are within a mile from various attractions: Cross in the Woods, North Central Bike/Snowmobile Trailhead, Big Bear Adventures, Burt Lake State Park with boat launch and beach, the Sturgeon River, and Downtown Indian River.

This cozy, rustic, log cabin sits lakeside on Crooked Lake. With one bedroom (full-size bed) and a pullout couch (queen-sized bed) in the living area, this is the ideal up-north getaway for a couple or small family. Located just minutes from Petoskey and Harbor Springs, this is a great, central location up north, and on the water. This is one of several cabins and cottages that share appx 200' of waterfront. Small bathroom. This is one of the only cottages in the association with central heat and a washer and dryer for guests. Dockage available for pontoon or fishing boat (only 1 trailer parking area for all cabins, please RESERVE with me before bringing your trailer so I can reserve the parking area, dock is in mid-May through mid-Oct). Cabin is 350 sq ft and features an idyllic setting to enjoy incredible sunrises and great sun throughout the day. No A/C, but great lake breezes. This trail offers a 7.5-mile stretch of scenic 10-foot wide paved asphalt path - great for bicycles, strollers, roller skates, and more. The trail begins at Spring Lake Park on M-119, skirts the shores of four inland lakes, passes through the lakeside hamlets of Conway and Oden.

Crooked Lake is a great all-sports lake with ample year-round fishing, great waterskiing, and lots of areas to explore. Crooked Lake is part of the inland waterway that connects to Lake Huron through Burt and Mullett Lakes. It is a great lake for fishing (year round), kayaking, paddleboarding, or just boating and swimming.

This stunning 125+ year old cabin in Good Hart with private beach access along the Tunnel of Trees is walking distance from Good Hart. Located on M-119, it is just 20 minutes North of Harbor Springs and 10 minutes North is Cross Village/Legs Inn. This is a perfect place to get away from it all whether you want to do a fall color tour, ski, motorcycle, or hit up all the gorgeous beaches this area has to offer. This is a beautiful spot to making some Northern Michigan memories!

**Please note this cabin does not have wifi or cell service (there is service a 5 minute walk down the road in the town of Good Hart) because when you are at the cabin, it time to really unplug! The private beach property is a 10 minute walk away or 2 minute car ride and is one of the most stunning beaches in the area! **

Cozy cabin located on 40 acres surrounded by state land, centrally located between Petoskey, Indian River and Wolverine with direct access to trails. In the south east corner of Emmet county, the cabin sleeps 6 comfortably. 5 beds (4 twin, 1 queen) are located upstairs and are bunk house style with semi privacy. It offers a fully equipped kitchen, hot shower, 50 inch flat screen TV with DirecTV and washer/dryer. Cellular service is good in the upstairs and outside and we now have TrueStream, high speed internet!! There is a covered patio, with a fire pit for nightly campfires, with picnic tables also. Located 13 miles from Petoskey, 20 miles from Boyne City, 8 Miles from Indian River and 20 Miles from Harbor Springs. It’s more like 25 miles away via paved roads. Also, the beds were a bit short for those in the 6’ 3” range. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. Easy check in and out. The cabin is on a popular biking route. Bring your bikes! A walk out the back door you will find a Maple Woods with an outdoor fire pit and grill. An indoor gas fireplace adds warmth to living space. Petoskey, Boyne City and Harbor Springs are 30 minutes away. Traverse City, Sleeping Bear dunes National Park and Mackinaw are close enough for a day trip. Wildlife is abundant on the property. Private setting on 1,500 feet of frontage. Lake Charlevoix boat ramp is two miles away. You can canoe/kayak right to Lake Charlevoix from your front door. Boyne Mountain is less than 15 minutes away for skiing and golfing. Several golf courses are less than 10 - 20 minutes away.
