- "The rooms were far from the water, not like to picture. The living space was nice but the beds were very uncomfortable, we didn't even stay our second booked night. The room was very cold and drafty, and the thermostat was programed to 68 degrees and we very cold, it did not warm well. It didn't even come with towels! We had to go and buy our own. We wanted to rent snowmobiles and was told it was too warm, it was 35 degrees outside! When we asked around they said that it was not true, plus we saw many other people riding snowmobiles. Very disappointed."

Guests have exclusive access to the entire lodge as well as the entire 60 acre property. The large driveway can accommodate a large number of vehicles with plenty of room to maneuver trailers etc. It is common to see bald eagles and hawks soaring along the ridgeline directly in front of the properties.

Many guests snowtube, sled, or even snowboard down the long driveway during the winter. Sleds are typically available for guests to use.

Guests can reach the Au Sable River and the Mio Dam area in 3-4 minutes by car to enjoy all kinds of water activities including swimming, boating, kayaking, canoeing, river tubing, fishing, etc. Several businesses offer canoe, kayak, or tube rentals just a few minutes from the driveway.

The property is also just a few minutes from groomed state ATV/UTV/snowmobile trails. The trails are easily accessible from the driveway and trailering is not necessary.

The property features an outdoor steam sauna but new panoramic view barrel saunas for each lodge are pending installation along with either a new swim spa or pool. Check back for updates. Our cabin is secluded and nestled in the woods on 3 acres. The nearest neighbors are more than 150 feet thru the woods. We have ALWAYS been completely disinfecting our cabin, bedding, linens, etc.. with a powerful germicide that is effective against virtually every type of virus and bacteria including the human coronavirus. In times like these it's nice to be able to get away to a safe place and enjoy nature and our cabin offers just that-- a safe and secluded place to chill for a while.

You are going to love this sweet little northern Michigan getaway located on 3 acres and adjoining thousands of acres of Wakeley lake area federal and with miles of hiking trails. Lots of great fishing and swimming lakes close by. But-- the main attraction to this location is the famous Au Sable River mainstream-- just 500 yards from the cabin. This river is nationally known for its world class fly fishing for brown, rainbow, and brook trout.

The Au Sable river is also a popular destination for canoeing, kayaking, and tubing with several local rental liveries in grayling.

Cabin has 2 double bed futons and a double bed air mattress that can be used if needed to sleep up to 6 guests. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with everything-- just like home. Nothing you need to bring. All bedding, towels and washcloths provided. Both charcoal and gas grills provided. Basically-- all you need to bring is your clothes, food, and drink and you are good to go!

Pet friendly. Huge yard with big campfire pit. Picnic table and lawn chairs. A great place for the kids with swing set, sandbox, yard games, basketball hoop, horseshoes, and more. Our cabin is 50 feet from the river with a slightly elevated private setting that offers you everything you could possibly want to escape into the peaceful serenity Northern Michigan offers. The cabin offers a riverside screened-in porch, 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen bed while the second bedroom has two sets of bunk beds. We offer a full kitchen, gas grill, washer/dryer and television with DVD. All linens and towels are provided.

This 1940’s Rustic Log Lakehouse is tucked in on a beautiful wooded lakefront property on all-sports Tee Lake in Lewiston, MI. Our Rustic Log Lakehouse is 630 square feet with an exposed log ceiling and a porch overlooking the lake. It sleeps 6 people, has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and a futon on the porch. One bedroom has 2 twin beds with a window that opens up for a view of the lake. The second bedroom has a handcrafted log bunk bed that is built into the cabin. This bunk has 2 double mattresses and an open view of the knotty pine ceiling. We have a beautiful front porch area that is steps away from your own private sandy beach with a dock.

There is a public boat launch if you want to bring your boat or you can use our rowboat or canoe to explore the unique character and 3 islands on the lake. We have a lakeside swing that is a perfect spot for reading a book, relaxing, or watching the Loons. - "Rustic Log cabin with beautiful aged knotty pine interior. Simple, basic necessities, and PET FRIENDLY! It's frozen in time from an era long past. So reminiscent of typical cabin lake houses from the 1930's-1950's. The wooded area is so tranquil and quiet during the week and come Friday afternoon, it's alive with skiers, pontoon cruisers, & jet ski's. The lake is crystal clear. Tap water ice cold and fresh. No smell or mineral taste. Just a short walk out the back door and your toes are in the water! We experienced rainy drizzle, overcast skies, but not bad enough to keep us from fishing off the dock. A heavy fog came in on our 2nd night. Sitting at waters edge, the lake surface like glass, in dead silence, with the occasional fish breaking water to feed & a few wailing loons in the distance, was magical. Day 3 we had sun! So relaxing! Time here was a welcome diversion. 3 days were just not enough. FYI- we have Verizon. Its coverage maps says cabin address is covered but we had NO service. Probably due to dense tree canopy. Supplied WiFi kept buffering, so not sure how conducive to a working vaca with unreliable connection. Anyway, all my online accounts have 2 factor authentication to my phone. No service meant no ability to authenticate, which meant no access to any email, or other remote user access. Aside from (or because of) that, we had a most enjoyable stay and were most comfortable during our time there."

Pets are allowed we just ask that they stay off the furniture; there is plenty of room for dogs to run around the 10 acres. Please disclose if you are bringing a pet as there is a small cleaning fee.

We have a large driveway, please park on the gravel not the grass.
Fire pit: you can use any brush you find, but bring wood.
Charcoal grill: bring charcoal.

A door lock code will be provided when you book. There is a surveillance camera monitoring the front door/drive. (No cameras/devices inside cabin).

There is one seasonal neighbor in the area.
Camp Grayling is located near I-75 where at times they have trainings (check their FB page for schedules as you can occasionally hear planes/booms in the distance).

We don’t allow extra guests without a reservation (no camping tents/RVs).

We ask that pets be kenneled if left at cabin while guests are not there.

Newly re-modeled! Built in the 1940's by famed fly fishing guide Jim Wakeley, our 'River Cabin' is located at the historic Wakeley Bridge. 'Uncle Jim' purchased the property during World War II and began developing the property one building at a time. As a second generation fly fishing guide, my family and I are working to keep the memory of Jim Wakeley alive and share our love of the river. The cabin is nestled along the world famous 'Holy Waters', a 'fly's only', 'catch and release' section on the AuSable. The cabin is just a short drive to the North and South Branches of the river.

For the golf enthusiast we are only a short drive away from both, Forest Dunes Golf Club and Garland Golf Resort. For the hikers, bikers and bird watchers the cabin is three miles from Wakeley Lake, a beautiful part of the Huron-Mainistee National Forest area with miles of trails with loon and eagle sightings on a regular basis.

The quiet and cozy cabin offers two bedrooms with a queen size bed in each, full kitchen with living area including a couch, for additional sleeping. Dishes and linens are supplied along with a charcoal grill. There is a riverside fire pit for enjoying the summer evenings. Now with AC!

Perfect place to come back to and unwind after a day in the sun. The hosts were super communicative and kind! A couple of things to note!
Our property is located off of a two-track road. We highly recommend a four or all-wheel drive vehicle in winter months. While we do our best to keep it plowed, it's in the woods! Things get messy.
The only internet available is through a T-Mobile hotspot we provide. You can have multiple devices connected to the network and stream, which is how we provide cable (through YouTube TV). But again, you're in the woods, so we like to caution it's not as powerful or reliable as your cable or broadband internet in the city.

A rustic, permalog style cabin that is suited to accommodate up to nine. This is a cabin to help disconnect from the hustle and bustle of our chaotic lives. There is limited cell signal, no internet and no local or cable channels. The cabin is pet friendly, as I believe our pets are an extension of our families and should get to vacation with everyone rather than boarded (dogs only are allowed, see note about pets at the end of this description). Primary source of heat is a furnace. There is an electric fireplace in the living room. In the summer there is a window AC unit at the cabin and a fan for the loft (it does get hot up there).

The cabin is very close to the AuSable River where you can easily launch boats, canoes and more. The ORV trail head is just a 1/4 mile down the road. This is also the perfect cabin for nearby hunting, fishing, hiking and trail riding. Be sure to keep an eye out for an eagle or two. Also had deer tracks in the yard.

HOME SPACE:
Master bedroom has a queen bed. Living room has a 2 hide-a-beds. The loft has two full size beds. (CAUTION: There are cables that keep the roof straight in the loft on the floor. Please use caution so there are no injuries.) Room enough for 9 people. Just about everything is provided for you (linens, towels, fully stocked kitchen, etc). Not sure if I have something you need, ask me.

There is only a 20 gallon hot water heater (that means quick showers with a full house). A furnace is available for heat. It is fueled by propane. There is an electric fireplace for ambiance (please do not use this to help heat the cabin at night). A window AC unit is installed during the summer in the kitchen and a fan for the loft and one for the main floor.

CELL SIGNAL & TELEVISION:
The location of the cabin is set in the Huron National Forest and it is difficult to get any signals through the trees for WiFi and television. I have been unsuccessful at tuning in any local channels. I have opted not to have internet or cable television at this location as this is a cabin to disconnect from the world as mentioned in the description. Some cell providers do receive good signal here and you may experience great connectivity to the point emails and messages still come through. Movies and games are provided at the cabin for “rainy days” and there is plenty of nature to explore. Maps and guides are provided at the cabin for various exploration/activities that allow you to enjoy the natural habitat surrounding the cabin.

PROPERTY:
The cabin sits on under a half acre of land. There is limited space for parking multiple vehicles so I recommend carpooling as much as you can. If you are planning to bring snowmobiles in the winter, please note the property can probably accommodate one trailer. There is no actual driveway so feel free to park on the lawn but not by the sheds up front (my septic tank an the septic pipe goes through that area). There is a firepit for your use I just encourage you to please use caution and safety at all times during use and when you are done with it each night.

** PLEASE NOTE: LARGE CAMPERS AND TRAILERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO MANEUVER THEM ON THE TRAILS TO THE CABIN. **

NEIGHBORHOOD:
This cabin is located in a small rural community. There are several neighbors, it is not secluded but gives that vibe. Did I mention I have the best neighbors?? Well I do! They will treat you just like part of the neighborhood and welcome you in. Please be respectful of noise level during the week as my neighbors do have to get up for work pretty early. The neighbors behind me do have two dogs who are not leashed when they are outside. Please keep an eye on your dog(s) at all times.

NOTE ABOUT PETS: I am not held responsible for any injuries or damages caused by/to your pet. Your pet is your responsibility and must be under control at all times. You must clean up after your pet. Leashes, food/water bowls, poop bags and beds are provided. Please keep your dog(s) off of the furniture. They must be crated if left alone for over an hour. Please do not bring your dog if it has any fleas or illnesses. Your dog(s) must be licensed and up to date on shots.

FEES: Again there is an additional $25 charge per guest over 6 guests (no more than 9 people at this location). There is a pet fee of $30. There is a $300 security deposit. This will be refunded upon departure if no damage has been found. If damage has been found it will be held pending investigation. Please note, if damage is found above 300.00 that amount will be due in full after a full investigation is completed. The costs of those items will be for replacement cost, not current value of the item.

Exceptionally clean , newly done cabin taking reservation. One bedroom with full size bunk bed, futon in the living room area for extra sleeping. Parking provided onsite for one vehicle per cabin. No parking/driving in the roped off area.
We provide starter supplies consisting of paper towel, toilet paper, tissue, dish soap, hand soap, trash bags, and coffee. Any additional items beyond what is supplied will be the responsibility of the guest.
Please keep the front door closed as bugs tend to gravitate towards the interior lights.
No pets allowed at this home.
Please be respectful of neighbors. I do not allow parties.
Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am- please be courteous to your neighbors as cabins are in close proximity to each other.
Blackstone grill with propane tank is supplied. There are full propane tanks next to the recreational room – if tanks are empty they can be refilled right across the street at Wild’s True Value Hardware. Please clean grill after each use. Please make sure foil tin is in the drip tray in back of grill- replace as needed. Extra foil trays are supplied in the recreational room.
Charcoal grills are also on the property. You will have to supply your own lighter, charcoal briquettes, etc.
Absolutely NO unregistered guests without prior approval from the owner.
Absolutely NO drugs of any kind - alcohol is OK.
Absolutely no smoking in the house and if you do smoke outside, please be courteous and clean up your butts/ash. Evidence of smoking in the home will be subject to a $400 fine.

You will be charged for any major damage or if anything goes missing.

Put all used towels in the shower floor before you leave. You may leave used bedding on the bed (don’t strip the beds).

Please take all garbage out to the trash receptacles located in the parking lot in front of the recreational building.

Description can be a little deceiving. There is a sandy beach area, but then it completely drops off into the water. No direct access accept from the dock, in which you have to take stairs to get down.....the first set of stairs have no railings. Just a little shocked that the swimming area is in a boating dock area. Not a beach area. The last night there, there were 7 vehicles, 3 of which had boat and jet ski trailers in them with the water vehicles on the trailer, that pulled in. The first vehicle stopped at the roped off area and then drove straight through it....the other vehicles followed. The 7 vehicles were parked all around the "common area" for the rest of the night, not allowing access to the community's fire pit or charcoal grill. I 100% believe more clear signs and a more permanent barrier should be posted. Other than that, the stay was great. Looking forward to coming back, just not in the summer. Prefer a more clean swimming area with direct beach access"

Enjoy the peaceful serenity of Northern Michigan. Bunkhouse situated on 16 acres. Many nearby trails for hiking, biking or off roading. Small lake across the street on State property for fishing or kayaking. Only toilet is a clean outhouse.

Please note that there is a main cabin on property which may be occupied by other guests during your stay. This is also listed and can be rented simultaneously which is great for larger groups or multiple families to stay together on the same property.

The space
Bunkhouse has one main room with a queen size bed, a loveseat, a stove, refrigerator and a kitchen sink with running water. The upstairs loft contains a full mattress and a twin mattress. A shower is located inside an enclosed area. A clean outhouse is the only toilet.

Situated in the scenic woods of northern Michigan yards away from Houghton Lake, this comfy cabin is a great place to relax after a full day of fun. It is the PERFECT spot for summer lake fun, outdoor activities, ice fishing adventures, trail riding and more. Conveniently located within walking distance of the beach, playground, volley ball court, tennis court, boat launch, ice cream shop, state trails AND MORE! NOTE: Living room and kitchen ceiling is low at 6’5”. Please continue reading below.

The space
Feel free to hangout and grill out using the property’s fire pit and charcoal grill. 2 person Kayak in hangout shed is available for use as well (please use at your own risk, we are not liable for ANY injuries or damages!) Also, if you bring your toys feel free to park them under the carport out of the weather. You can ride your machines right from the property! Many trails to explore.

Sleeping arrangements: The cabin has two bedrooms. Bedroom one has a queen bed. Bedroom two has a day bed with a pull-out trundle bed. The living room has a sleeper sofa.

The cabin is in a peaceful neighborhood located less than 1/2 mile from Sullivan Beach Park and boat launch. Also within walking distance are tennis courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, pickle ball courts, playgrounds, ice cream, local bars and more!

My place is close to Lake St Helen, ATV Trails, The Dream, Nightmare Golf Courses. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, it is a wonderful spot to enjoy a weekend away.. The space
02.21.22 brand new mini split heat/ac unit installed. This should keep the cabin warm and comfortable in winter and very cool in the summer. Please do not set the a/c below 70 degrees or above 75 in the winter.
07/07/22 we have a new 4 burner propane grill. If you run out of propane gillroy can refill tank or exchange at local gas station. I’ll compensate your cost please show receipt.
Clean sheets will always be at the cabin and easily accessible. Flat screen TV with usb plugs for a firestick or whatever streaming video you want to bring. Laptop etc. The cabin has wifi "no cable television" Please be advised that I can not fold a fitted sheet very well. The fitted sheets will be clean and I do my best to fold them but I'm still working out the kinks :)
Pet Disclaimer: I love dogs and love that I can offer my guest the opportunity to bring their fur babies to the cabin. I have had a few guest that have had dogs that shed and have not cleaned up after their dog. Please if you bring your dog/dogs, clean up after them if they shed. There is a vacuum/broom/swiffer in the cabin. Please keep in mind that not everyone is pet friendly and if you leave dog hair behind and the next guest is allergic it can lead to an issue for their rental.
The kitchen has now been equipped with a stove and oven 7-4-19. Charcoal and fire wood is the guest responsibility, it will not be provided upon arrival. The offset smoker “year round” is great if you want to bring any meats or fish to smoke. Again charcoal and wood chips are guest responsibility.
Hot Tub and Pole Barn Are Not for guest use.

The whole cabin is yours. The Pole Barn and Hot Tub are strictly off limits.
The house has a very open floor plan. The queen bed is not behind a wall and the spare bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed and has no door installed. If you plan on having more than one couple staying at the cabin, please note that there is limited privacy. The bunk bed is brand new for an additional couple to use the full bed. Brand new full mattress 5/19/19. All mattresses have protective covers on top of them.

Other things to note
The $250 security deposit is not charged at the time of booking. This is only an authorization through you the guest and Airbnb if any damages occur during your stay.

Our subdivision is ideally situated among thousands of acres of public land near the beautiful Au Sable River. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and full of nature.

Come and enjoy all this beautiful area has to offer, including hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, trail riding, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, etc.

A boat launch for the Au Sable River, an ORV trailhead and DJs Scenic Bar are within a mile of the cabin (in McKinley). Hiking and skiing trails are 10-15 minutes from the cabin.

The space
The cabin includes one bedroom with a queen bed, one queen sofa sleeper in the living room, one bath, a laundry room, and a fully stocked kitchen (microwave, coffee pot/filters, toaster, pots, pans, utensils, etc). All pillows, linens, blankets, towels, dish cloths are provided. There is a fire pit (some fire wood is provided, additional wood available for purchase), charcoal grill, picnic table, and front porch swing available for your use.

There's plenty of room for trailer parking. Camping trailers would be an additional $15 per night (110 hook-up only).

Belle's Rest is a cozy cabin in the heart of Northern Michigan. It is nestled in a neighborhood of cabins by Otsego Lake. Despite the vintage decor, the cabin offers modern conveniences and a great kitchen! You will find Belle's Rest to be a great home-base for your time Up North. Guests will have access to Otsego Lake, and all the Northern Michigan favorites are within 45 minutes to 1.5 hours away!

The space
Belle's Rest is my newly redecorated personal home! This is my 5th summer renting my house. I worked hard over the 2020 lockdown to redecorate everything so I could rent it while I was working in Alaska. I am the lodge manager for my friend's fishing lodges in Kenai, AK. I will be gone mid-May through the first week of September. I have been super excited about how my cabin has turned out, and I would love to share it with others while I am away!

My house is located on the west side of Otsego Lake - you will have lake access, as well as some great nearby options for experiencing the lake. You can see one of the channels to Otsego Lake at the end of the road, as you pull into the driveway. If you walk on the road behind the house, the actual lake is 1.5 blocks away. There is a little entry at that point, which would be great for dropping in a kayak or canoe or doing a little swimming. The neighborhood association is not interested in sharing their lake access lot with Airbnb guests; however, I will provide a pass to Otsego Lake County Park (1/4 mile down the road - very walkable) so you have access to the lake during your stay. It's a beautiful park and campground with a boat launch, picnic pavilions, and a swimming and beach area. The best beach on the lake will be Otsego Lake State Park. It is catty corner across the lake from my house, and it's about a 5 mile drive. It's a beautiful beach! Unfortunately I do not yet have water toys for folks to use, but you can check into Action Outdoor Rentals to rent some! They meet you at the County Park.

My remodel is still in progress. I still need to build the wall between the main room and the master bedroom (see pictures for the current set up), replace the flooring, and replace the temporary countertops with permanent counters (I painted and sealed them, but it is a temporary fix). In 2020, I purchased a brand new fridge and gas stove. In April 2021, I installed a new water heater and a brand new washer/dryer combo. I updated the water filter and pressure tank in 2024! There is a system flush mid-day (after a specific quantity of water has been used). It’s best to not use the water while it’s running. If water pools in a bath, it’s still slightly discolored, but it’s much better than it was previously. I will continue to provide purified water in a water cooler, if you prefer to use that; however, rest assured the water is drinkable and usable for cooking/cleaning.

The rest of the cabin is newly redecorated (in 2020). I made many of my decorations - including the curtains, shower curtain, tablecloth, pot holders, some wall hangings, etc. Definitely enjoy them, but please treat them kindly! I would love to enjoy them when I return. :)

I do not have air conditioning. It is well insulated, so most of the summer it stays pretty cool. Opening windows to get a cross breeze going helps a great deal, and the bedrooms and main room will all have fans. I usually keep the overhead light off in the master bedroom and use the light switch to turn the fan on/off, but you are welcome to do whatever makes the most sense for you! The main room can get warm if you are doing a lot of cooking and baking due to the gas stove. Outside of that, things stay decently cool.

I have a bistro set, a gas grill, and a fire pit available for your use. I will provide camp chairs, roasting sticks, and enough firewood for 1-2 fires. Thanks to our ice storm this year, I have an extra wood pile available for your use! Should you need more, you can purchase additional wood around town. Many people sell wood on the side of the road, or you can grab it from the store. The white cupboard in the kitchen is a pantry for your food during your stay, and I have a cute vintage am/fm radio with a bluetooth speaker for you to use.

Guest access
You will have access to my entire house, minus a couple of dressers, a chest, and a small storage closet in the bathroom. I will be using these items to store some of my belongings. There will be one dresser and a closet in each bedroom for guest use, along with the desk in the 2nd bedroom. The garage is the only thing entirely off limits. It is command central station for my housecleaners and the lawn care worker. They will be using it to clean both my house and my A-frame cabin rental next door (Hephzibah's Haven, also listed on Airbnb). They may need to access the garage occasionally while you are there, but only for limited periods of time. The garage is separate from the house and set back a little bit, so it should not bother you too much. The lawn will be mowed weekly; I will do my best to give you a timeframe on what to expect. Also, you are welcome to use the wine glasses and bowls/small appliances in the bottom of the green hutch. I kindly ask you to refrain from using the decorative dishes on the top.

Other things to note
If you plan to bring a pet that is used to sleeping on beds and/or furniture, please bring a sheet or blanket for them to lay on. This will greatly help out my cleaners as they clean between guests.

I have had to replace the bedroom door two times in the past 3 years, as it has been broken during the summer - once from a dog and once from a human. Please do not leave pets shut in the room if they have a tendency to destroy doors. I will have my cleaners check it after every stay this summer and will submit a claim through the Resolution Center if it is found to be broken.

Cottage 3 is apart of Heart Lake Resort. Heart Lake Resort is a lake resort with six other small cottages and one lake home on the property. The grounds are shared with the other cottages/lake home. This includes the bonfire pit, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and beach access. Firewood is provided at the shared bonfire pit.

The hosts live in the walkout basement of The Big House with separate access to their space. The hosts ask that guests be mindful of their noise level. No parties allowed.

SUMMER - It doesn't get more dreamy than Heart Lake in the summer. The crystal clear lake is perfect for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, jumping on the water trampoline, or just relaxing on the dock soaking up the sun. Guests can unpack and let the memories begin!

WINTER - Heart Lake Resort is an outdoor enthusiasts winter destination! Trail 7 is located directly across the street for door-to-trail access. We have ample parking for snowmobile trailers on site. Snowmobilers can catch the trail to a multitude of northern Michigan destinations, local restaurants, and gas stations for convenience.

The Firehouse Cabin is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin that is located in the heart of downtown St Helen. Just minutes away from the lake and the ORV trails. The space
The Johnson style cabin has a large front yard with a driveway long enough for a good size camper or trailer. The open concept living room and kitchen area that includes a full pull out couch and 2 bedrooms that each have a full size bed in them with storage for clothes. There is a full bathroom that has a stand up shower. The cabin has central heat to keep you warm in the winter and AC to keep you cool in the summer. There is bonus breezeway room between the cabin and the garage where you can drop your gear or relax and enjoy the extra space. The garage is open for your access, especially on the snowy or rainy days when you want to keep your toys out of the elements or need a safe place to work on them. Take to the backyard where there is plenty of room for outdoor games, or enjoy the fire pit. Do not be afraid to reach out to the host with any questions.
