- "The cabin was very comfortable and great for our family six adults and 3 children. The location was also very convenient for everything we were doing. We met Ben when we checked in, the property caretaker, and he an Inez were very helpful with all our questions. The first night we could not get the outdoor grill working so we called Ben and he immediately brought his personal grill over for us to use, when the owner was notified he replaced the grill with a new one."

- "The house was very clean and the check in process was easy. The owners of the house even reached out to us that we could check in early because of a winter storm getting ready to hit the area so we were able to get on the road earlier in the day. That right there should tell you alot about who you are renting the house from. I give the house 5 stars and will be returning in the near future! O and the view from the deck is amazing looking over the Indian River where we saw numerous bald eagles cruising the river looking for a meal. Great place overall."

We had one slight problem with the egg grill, but Kenyatta was very accommodating and even though the part that was broken couldn’t be fixed during our stay because of something out of her control, she was right on it. "Exactly what you think of when you picture a cabin in the woods ! Clean, comfortable, nice big porch with large fire pit area. Everywhere you looked you saw small things that made you realize the local host really wanted all your needs met"
-Nancy August 2023
"We had a great stay! It was a beautiful, quiet cabin in the woods. We enjoyed cooking campfire meals, visiting nearby lakes, going out to breweries and wineries, and relaxing back at the cabin with a good book. I also really appreciated the wifi, as I had to do some Zoom calls. The kitchen was also really well equipped with pots, pans, utensils - honestly one of the best stocked kitchens (even though there was no dishwasher) I've had an a rental, which was really great for us because we have food allergies in our family and cooked all our meals at the cabin."
-Katie July 2023
"Exactly as described. Private, spacious space close to lake and town. Exactly what I was looking for."
-Emily July 2023
- "Very nice property and very private. Close to town. Would love to stay again." - "Enjoyable wooded lot away from the bustle of the area. Less than an hour to Mackinaw City or Harbor Springs and under 30 minutes to Walloon Lake and Petoskey. " - "This little cabin is located a short drive from Indian River. It has 3 bedrooms with a full kitchen and living room. The rooms were clean. Linens were provided. If you want to have a peaceful stay without any noise or neighbors, this is it. We enjoyed a fire pit and watching the fireflies. This site does not have a gas grill, but has a charcoal grill. We brought our own grill, so no issue for us. We brought our boat and played on the lakes for the week."

- "This place was so nice. The house was clean and the rooms spacious. The house is very welcoming, cutely decorated and easy to feel at home in. It has a great front porch facing the lake, and a nice picnic table, also out front…the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. The fire pit out back with chairs and marshmallow sticks provided made for great evenings of making s’mores and memories with our granddaughters! We enjoyed seeing the geese, ducks and swans with their babies swimming in the lake and canal. We visited Burt lake and went to Aloha park both approximately 10 minutes from the house. We also made the trip to Mackinac only a short 30 minute drive. It is so close to a lot of northern Michigan attractions we just ran out of time. We did have a couple of rainy days that we spent indoors playing the games provided. The kitchen was clean and had all the necessary equipment and utensils to cook. Dishwasher pods and dish soap were provided. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood.Kris and Karen were the perfect hosts. Kris was in contact before,(giving us the code to get in), during( checking to make sure we didn’t have any problems with check in)and after our stay( just to wish us safe travels) We even got a sweet little thank you gift.We would absolutely recommend this place, and will definitely be staying there again."

Eagle’s Nest is a majestic A-Frame cabin, nestled on the banks of the Little Pigeon River, in the quaint town of Indian River, Michigan. Our extremely private 10 acre property is what we like to call "The Ultimate Escape" from the hustle and bustle of life, yet we are centrally located to all of what Northern Michigan has to offer.
-6 Minutes from I-75 Ramp
-7 Minutes from Downtown Indian River
-25 Minutes to Mackinaw City
-30 Minutes to Gaylord
-30 Minutes to Petoskey
-30 Minutes to Harbor Springs
The space:
The open floorplan and triangular walls of windows allow excellent natural light during the day and provide a showcase of the stars at night. Enjoy the unmolested night sky off the front deck while relaxing to the sounds of the Little Pigeon River as your background. Our 10 acres is home to an abundance of wildlife which often will greet you in the mornings such as Whitetail Deer, Rabbits, Turkeys, and a Bald Eagle which has built his home in a 100+ year old pine on the property. Have a dip in the river or grab a tube/kayak and catch the Pigeon River which is connected just down the trail.
Eagle’s Nest A-frame sleeps 4 comfortably with a bedroom on the main floor and another in the loft above. Our property is suitable for couples, a small family or a group of friends.
*** NEED MORE SPACE ? -------->>>>
****** PLEASE NOTE ****** The Treehouse is NOT AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED. We only rent the treehouse to guests who have already reserved the A-frame cabin. The additional charge is $100 per night. If you wish to reserve the treehouse in addition to the A-frame cabin, just let us know and we will request this from you after you have booked your stay As there is no bathroom in the treehouse, guests staying in the treehouse will need to use the cabin bathroom. It is 30 feet away and we have excellent outdoor lighting on timers and both doors use electronic keypads for easy nighttime access. Though the a-frame and treehouse together can accommodate 6 people for sleeping, we do not recommend bringing parties of greater than 4 adults, due to the small floor plan and limited indoor seating of the a-frame which is a tiny home.
🐶. We are a dog friendly property with a max of 3 dogs. Please specify the amount of dogs at the time of reservation and we will send a request for the $100 pet fee through the VRBO platform. For the sake of our other guests we ask that all pets remain off the furniture and bedding at all times.
🐾 Dogs must be kenneled when the owner is not present. 🐾
Guest access
Feel free to enjoy all of our 10 acres. The treehouse is only available to guests who have included it in their booking request.
We are new hosts to Vrbo, but experienced hosts on the other big platform. Please don’t be afraid to book with us. This property has five star reviews on other sites! We would love to host your getaway. 🔥
Other things to note:
Please note the fireplace in the cabin is only available for use between October 1st - April 31st. It will not be turned on during the summer months.
We do not provide firewood for the firepit nor do we provide charcoal. There are many local places that sell both.

- "My husband, beagle, and I had the best winter getaway at Veaux Pines. Chalet was so adorable and extremely clean. From the fireplace, coffee bar, snacks, hot tub, privacy, location, everything was absolutely perfect. I will be the first to admit that I rarely write reviews after a stay, but felt it necessary to thank Katy for allowing us to have the perfect trip. Thank you as well for being dog friendly :)" - "We had a fantastic stay. The host was very responsive to any emails sent. The host had the home prepared and so well cleaned/decorated. They left a wonderful guest basket, along with a binder of recommendations for local things to do. The home was easy to find and keypad was easy to use."
